“6,000 acres of land near Hosur temple encroached”: Thiruthondar Sabai Chief Radhakrishnan

Chief of Thiruthondar Sabai, Radhakrishnan has said that all efforts are being taken to reclaim the 6000 acres of land belonging to the temples of Hosur, Krishnagiri district. Over the past few days, Radhakrishnan has been scrutinizing the details of the encroachment and occupation of land belonging to Hindu temples in the Hosur area.

The survey found that 26 acres of land belonging to the temple in the village of Koolikaanapalli, Tulla, near Hosur, has been leased out for agriculture. However, 2 lorries that were illegally going to Mines through this land have been seized and handed over to Police officials.

Radhakrishnan who spoke to reporters about this issue said, “Investigations are underway to recover illegally occupied land belonging to temples in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, investigation and survey are being undertaken in the Krishnagiri district for the 5th time now. At present, the lorries that have illegally used temple land as roads to reach mines have been seized and handed over to the Police.”

He also said that most of the expensive lands in Tamil Nadu are situated in Hosur. Efforts are being taken to reclaim almost 6,000 acres of land in this area.
