Taliban claims to have captured Panjshir Valley

taliban india

As reports emerge that the Taliban has  “completely captured” Panjshir Valley, Taliban chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement said, “With this victory, our country is completely taken out of the quagmire of war,”.

It has also emerged that the Panjshir province was bombed by Pakistani Air Force drones, reports India Today and Pakistani military officers are providing all sorts of tactical support.

The claim was made by former Samangan MP Zia Arianjad, who was quoted as saying by Aamaj News that Pakistani drones have bombed Panjshir using smart bombs.

Meanwhile, Fahim Dashty, the spokesperson of the Resistance Force was killed during fighting with the Taliban in Panjshir earlier on Sunday.

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan also put out a statement on Facebook saying, ” With deep touch and regret, we lost two dear brothers and colleagues and fighters today. Fahim Dashty, the head of the office of Amir Saheb Ahmad Masoud, and General Sahib Abdul Wadood Zhor, the nephew of the national hero of Afghanistan in the battle against the fascist group. Congratulations on your martyrdom!”

However, all is not well because the Taliban’s co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is said to have been injured when his supporters clashed with the Haqqani Network, reports Times of India.

The clash is said to have taken place on Friday (3 September), which prompted Pakistani ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed to rush to Kabul to contain the situation.

The shooting started over a power struggle between Baradar and Anas Haqqani. Both sides want the important portfolio of defense.

But upon his arrival in Kabul, Hameed had said, “Don’t worry, everything will be okay.” When asked if he will be meeting with the Taliban leadership, Hameed looked at Pakistan’s envoy to Kabul Mansour Ahmad Khan, before responding, “I have just landed. We are working for peace and stability in Afghanistan.”

Hameed is the first senior Pakistan official to visit Afghanistan after the Taliban returned to power in the war-torn nation following a gap of two decades.

Communists in Kerala stop truck carrying ISRO equipment, demand ₹10 lakh as ‘gawking charges’ banned by HC

In the Communist-ruled Indian state of Kerala, a group of workers and local people in the capital Thiruvananthapuram yesterday (5 September) blocked a truck belonging to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) demanding a “gawking charge” or “nokku kooli “of ₹10 lakh, reports Hindustan Times.

The so-called workers who have ties with trade unions in the state stopped a truck that was laden with heavy equipment and was headed towards Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), which is a key wing of ISRO.

As per VSSC officials, the truck was held hostage for more than four hours and upon no resolution, VSSC had to reach out to take the help of  Chief Minister (CM) Pinarayi Vijayan’s office, and thereafter, State’s Labour Minister V Sivankutty intervention got the truck the permission to go through.

But even after the state government intervention, it took several rounds of talks and protests for the matter to be resolved as the workers compromised with national security.

It should be noted that this incident took place came just three days after the Kerala High Court had pulled up the State Government for not effectively implementing the law to get rid of the strange practice called ‘nokku kooli’ which means gawking wages.

The court had said, “The practice is damaging the image of Kerala. It should be eradicated. It gives a wrong perception about the state. It should be corrected.”

The practice was abolished by the Kerala government in 2018, however, it is still widely practiced in the state where people are charged by licensed members of the headload workers for not doing any work and has the backing of militant trade unions and it has been called as extortion by registered trade unions.

Narendra Modi bureaucrats bureaucracy IAS officers

In what may be the biggest reform initiated by the Narendra Modi government, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that a major revamp of the criminal justice system is being promulgated after the central government received multiple suggestions from several states, union territories (UT), and central forces for reforms of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Evidence Act.

The government also plans to take into account the recommendations of courts and also bar associations.

Speaking at the 51st Foundation Day of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Shah applauded the foundation for regularly providing constructive suggestions to enable the center to revamp laws and tune them more with the domestic conditions and the modern era.

Shah was also empathetic towards the police forces when he said that they have to endure unfair criticism despite being tasked with sensitive and difficult assignments.

Moreover, the senior minister stressed that hawala trade, fake currency, trafficking of narcotics along with cyber-attacks, and drone attacks are some of the biggest challenges for the police forces and asked BPR&D to study the nature of these problems and examine the most proficient global solutions that are both effective and timely in nature.

Madurai Aadheenam comes down heavy on DMK Govt’s interference in Hindu faith, praises PM Modi

The pontiff of Madhurai Adheenam Sri la Sri Hari Hara Gnanasambanda Desika Paramacharya Swamigal criticised the DMK government’s interference in the religious affairs of the Hindu faith while addressing reporters on Sunday (September 5).

Addressing reporters at the 150th anniversary of V. O. Chidambaram Pillai held at Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district, he said that it was not right for the Tamil Nadu government to ban Vinayaga Chathurthi celebrations and said that it was not just a Hindu festival but a national festival that signified the resistance put by Indians against he British.

”Even VOC was inspired by Tilagar (Bal Gangadhadar Tilak). Vinayagar Chaturthi is not a festival that came yesterday. The British had banned Indians from gathering in groups. At that it was Tilagar who spearheaded and made the festival grand. Vinayaga Chathurthi is a festival that instills love for the country. The government itself should come forward and celebrate this.” he said.

To a reporter’s question on the Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the pontiff said that the Modi government is working for the welfare of all people. He said that it was during Jawaharlal Nehru’s time that Ladakh was taken off by China and Kashmir became an international issue.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his good governance, he said certain bold measures by the Modi Government had restored the glory of important shrines in the country. He said that some of the neighbours were baffled and the regions Ladakh, among others had got fresh identity.

“It was only after PM Modi came that the region is getting roads and has got stabilized. Kailash had gone off our hands before. Now, we don’t need to ask permission from China to go to Kailash. This has happened because of Narendra Modi.

When asked about the DMK government’s move to appoint Temple Archakas from all castes, he said ” The government says all castes can become priests. Will the same situation apply to other religions? In every religion, there are different sects. There are different opinions among them. Therefore, it is wrong to inject all matter into one religion alone”

He also said that today’s youth are getting spoilt by cinema and politics. Considering the future of youth, the government should close TASMAC shops and find alternatives to make up revenue earnings, the Swamigal said.

He refused to comment on the 100-day performance of the DMK government, when asked about his views.

Man suspects wife of having terror links, files police complaint

25 Islamist Terrorists Who Prove Education Doesn't Prevent Radicalization jihadi terror

A man from Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district has filed a complaint with the police on Friday, alleging that his wife, who works in Dubai, has links with terrorist organisations.

The husband, identified as one Chidananda KR, alleged that his wife, Raji Raghavan, also wants to take their daughter away with her and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not agree to her demands.

In a complaint to Superintendent of Police Sonawane Rishikesh, Chidananda stated that his wife claimed to know certain organisations and that she would “punish” him and his family.

Further, he also claimed that a person from Lakshadweep was making frequent calls and forcing him to send both his wife and daughter to Dubai.

“This person is asking me to come to Kerala and said he would give lots of money for sending my wife and daughter to Dubai for one year,” Chidananda said.

He said that his wife has been working in Dubai for the past 11 years. She comes back home once a year and stays for a month.

“I asked her to stay back in India as our children were growing up, but she refused and went to Dubai. After that, she stopped calling me and receiving my calls. Meanwhile, I got a call from my sister-in-law who informed me that my wife worked as a helper in a school-vehicle owned by a Pakistani national in Dubai,” Chidananda said in his complaint.

When Chidananda objected to Raji’s plan of taking away their daughter with her to Dubai, she told him that she would take the daughter with her only for 6 months and bring her back.

“My parents objected to the proposal [of taking the daughter to Dubai]. Raji Raghavan then demanded a divorce and insisted that after divorce, I should be taking care of the children. My daughter also opposed it and she has revealed to me that her mother had tortured her for taking my side,” Chidananda added.

“After that, she was always found busy with her phone. Whenever it rang, she used to go away to speak. She began objecting to Hindu traditions of wearing flowers in the hair and applying vermillion on the forehead during Onam celebrations,” he complained.

The complaint also states that whenever Chidananda asked his wife about what had happened to her savings, Raji gave him the contact number of one Mohammad Khasim who lived in Lakshadweep. She allegedly told him that she had lent all the money to him.

Chidananda then spoke to Khasim, who asked Chidananda to send Raji Raghavan to him. “Khasim has even threatened that if I don’t send her, they knew how to take her,” he said in his complaint.

The complaint further states that Raji went away with a stranger without informing her husband on the morning of July 27.

Wife found in hospital, say police

Chidananda said that he had lodged a complaint with Dharmasthala police station, and was told that she is getting treatment at an Ayurveda hospital.

“I have been asked to wait for 10 days. Meanwhile, I am getting calls from Kerala to send away my wife and children. No harm should come to my wife and children. It is to be ascertained where actually she is working in Dubai and who is the person from Lakshadweep,” he said.

Chidananda told reporters that he suspects his wife of having possible terror links, and added that the matter needs to be investigated as her behaviour is suspicious.

10 Times Muslim Leaders Stood Against Religious Extremism

The FCRA license of Al Hassan Education & Welfare Foundation, an Islamic organization based in Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended for indulging in organized religious conversion of vulnerable and marginal communities to Islam.

The organization was granted FCRA license on April 24, 2019 to accept foreign donations for undertaking educational and social programmes.

In June 2021, the Enforcement Directorate had begun a money laundering probe and raided six locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the sensational religious conversion case where physically challenged children and youth were converted to Islam.

The ED had conducted searches at offices of Al Hassan Education and Welfare Foundation and Guidance Education and Welfare Society located at Lucknow.

““These organisations are run by Umar Gautam and have been playing an instrumental role in carrying out illegal conversions,” ED had claimed.

According to the ED, incriminating evident revealed “several crores of foreign funding received by the accused organisations for the purpose of illegal conversions”.

China using academia, media, and politicians in India to peddle its agenda: Report

Communist China has bought support for itself among the academia, think-tanks, media, trade bodies, tech companies, filmdom, and political parties in India to influence public opinion and destabilise the nation from within, strategic affairs experts have said.

They were speaking at an online discussion following the release of a study report brought out by national capital-based think-tank ‘Law and Society Alliance’ titled “Mapping Chinese Footprints and Influence Operations in India” on Sep. 3 evening.

The 76-page Study Report enumerates the covert and overt influence operations carried out the Communist Party of China (CCP), led by Xi Jinping, in cultivating, funding, and sponsoring institutions including the media and individual opinion-makers.

In the event, exiled World Uyghur Congress Director for Chinese Affairs Department Ilshal Kokbore, who joined from New York, said the contents of the Study Report shocked him, as he learnt the deep penetration Communist China had done inside a democratic India.

He said the CCP, the rules from Beijing, was really adept at twisting reality and spreading propaganda in its favour, not just in India but globally. He said while CCP-controlled media was hostile towards India, Communist China treated Indians with contempt and views the South Asian giant as a third world nation.

Yet, Communist China has invested billions of American Dollars in India, in several sectors, including cinema, technology sector, Apps makers, fintech firms, edutech companies, and academia.

“China continues to take bolder steps to erode India’s democracy and is also subtly influencing Afghan policies through its support of Pakistani and Afghan extremists,” he said.

The report reminded Kokbore of Uyghur history when CCP militarily occupied East Turkistan, pretended to offer help, but now is throwing Uyghurs in concentration camps.” A similar history has played out in Tibet and is now playing out in Hong Kong with the CCP government forcibly curbing democracy.”

Canadian Coalition Against Communism co-founder and vice president Sheng Xue, who joined from Toronto, said the Study Report of Law and Society Alliance showed that some vigilant Indians were standing up against the CCP’s silent effort to undermine India and its interests through its fifth column operations.

The Study Report, Sheng said, was a wake-up call for democracies around the world against the CCP’s devious designs. “The report by Law and Society Alliance is convincing evidence as to how invasive China’s influence is and also enables scholars to draw a footprint of Beijing’s propaganda strategy,” she said.

“The democratic world must group together to protect itself and fight back against the overt and covert influence operations of CCP.”

New Delhi-based strategic affairs analyst Aarti Tikoo said the Study Report exhaustively mapped CCP’s influence in India, which is much more than what the British had among Indians when they ruled the country.

Tikoo said today, Indian film and entertainment industry will bend over backwards to please CCP, to the extent of declaring Tibet to be a part of Communist China.

“No one in the mainstream media talks about the ongoing genocide in East Turkestan, called as Xinjiang by CCP, or the plight of the Uyghurs. The insidious way in which the CCP has infiltrated into almost all critical sectors of Indian society is something we as Indians should be wary of,” she said.

In the last 30 years, almost every major Indian company has received investments from CCP and thus, are in some shape or form subservient to Beijing’s whims, Tikoo said.

Southern Mongolian Human Rights Information Center Diretor, Enghebatu Togochog, who joined from New York, said he was one of the unfortunate Mongolians, whose land Southern Mongolia is now under CCP’s occupation.

Enghebatu said he say a similarity in the CCP’s underhand ways currently in progress in India and what had happened in Southern Mongolia 70 years ago.

“China first entered Southern Mongolia proclaiming peace and prosperity, but over the years reduced my country to a mere colony. I want the people of the world democracies to see the example of Southern Mongolia to understand what happened to those who come under CCP’s ‘generosity’.”

Enghebatu said CCP colonized Southern Mongolia by four means: Economic Control, Population Transfers, Sinicisation and Resources Exploitation.

“Thanks to China’s ‘help’ the agrarian economy of Southern Mongolian has collapsed. Beijing has moved large population of Han Chinese to Southern Mongolia and reversed the population ratio to five Han Chineses to every Mongolian. CCP has attacked the Mongolian language and culture. And plundered the natural resources and destroyed the environmental balance and ecology in Sourthern Mongolia,” he said.

“This is an indicator of CCP’s hidden neo-imperialist agendas and that one must be vary of are CCP’s ‘gifts’.”

Geneva-based The Tibet Bureau’s United Nations Advocacy Officer Kalden Tsomo said the Study Report managed to powerfully capture how entrenched CCP is in India’s key sectors that impact the impressionable young minds.

“Beijing is currently attempting to use its current economic might to challenge the prevailing world order. China is attempting to re-write history in order to fit its own narrative. Because of this, the CCP’s point of view on Tibet, Hong Kong and COVID-19 is permeating throughout the world with pliable media platforms playing the amplifier role,” Kalden said.

Democratic nations for too long have stayed quiet to China’s aggressive actions and world leaders of the past falsely assumed that China would become more liberal after opening it economy, she said.
