Kalakshetra Controversy: Hari Padman Denies Any Wrongdoing, Blames ‘Power Play’ By Other Profs

Hari Padman, who has been arrested by the Chennai police on allegations of sexual harassment has reportedly given his statement to the police denying the allegations.

A report by Dinamalar citing police sources noted Haripadman saying that teaching Bharatanatyam cannot be taught like physics or chemistry and that it becomes inevitable to make physical contact while teaching the art.

“In Bharatanatyam, one has to move the whole body and emote. While teaching Bharatanatyam, the students should be taught how to move the hips, back and so on. If they are not in the correct position, it can be taught only by contact. If some students or others view this wrongly, then nothing can be done. While teaching, both the student and the teacher should focus on the art only. There can be no mental confusion regarding this. There shouldn’t be. If there is a mistake in the mudras shown by the fingers, it can be corrected only by touch. They say that this is wrong now and the students have filed a complaint against me.”, Hari Padman was quoted saying.

He also said that during his 20 years of many female students have studied under and none of them complained.

“They are today teaching Bharatanatyam in different countries. Not even one of them raised complaints against me. They say that calling a student home is a crime. It is true that students have come to my home and I’ve taught them Bharatanatyam. Students come for training before they go for programmes out of town or during vacations. When they have asked for permission to come home, I have given them. Whenever students come home, my wife and children are also present. If something wrong is being done, would they tolerate it? Many of the students know my family well. Even today, they are friends with my wife and children. If I am indeed a pervert, can I do this in front of my family? After all these allegations, would my family be compassionate and help me if I’m guilty?”, Hari Padman had said.

About complaints of him messaging students, he said that he would be willing to take the punishment if they show even one message with wrong intentions.

“If I say certain things, I would be called arrogant. I am definitely proud of my expertise in the art. In general, only women are considered good at Bharatanatyam. However, many professors are jealous and resentful that despite being a man I am exceptional at this art.”, he had said.

He further added “Among professors in Kalakshetra, there is not only competition with respect to work but also for power. Some are ready to do anything to become the Director. I am of the opinion that this power play has resulted in these complaints. Many students have been manipulated into giving this complaint. There are many forces who are conspiring to shut down this college. In general, I consider that there is a large scale attempt to smear Kalakshetra. I have been used as a tool in this attempt.”, he said.

He added that the truth will be revealed if there is a fair investigation.

Did DMK Ministers Ponmudi And Periyasamy Breach PM’s Security?

It has been reported that the reckless behavior of DMK Ministers Ponmudi and I Periyasamy caused a commotion near the airport special gate meant for Prime Minister Narendra Modi resulting in a serious breach of security.

Prime Minister Naremdrs Modi arrived in Chennai on 8 April 2023 for a one-day visit to inaugurate the Vande Bharat train between Chennai and Coimbatore, the new terminal building at Chennai Airport, and several other infrastructure projects.

As part of the Prime Minister’s security, a special route with security features was set up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enter and exit the Chennai airport, which no other leaders can use. Meanwhile, an alternate entrance was set up for ministers, political party leaders, and other VVIPs.

PM Modi was to leave to Karnataka from the Chennai Airport. Political party leaders, VVIPs, and Tamil Nadu ministers arrived at the Chennai airport to send off Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the send-off, while all other ministers and political party leaders entered through the entrance gate reserved for them, DMK Ministers Ponmudi and I. Periyasamy attempted to enter through the Prime Minister’s special entrance gate.

However, the Tamil Nadu police, who were on duty to watch over the Prime Minister’s security, refused to allow the DMK minister to enter through the gate reserved for the Prime Minister. This resulted in an altercation between DMK ministers and their assistants with the security personnel stationed in front of the gate.

As the argument continued for some time, the police officers assigned to the Prime Minister’s security had no choice but to let DMK minister Ponmudi and I Periyasamy through the special entrance reserved for the Prime Minister. After both DMK ministers entered through the special entrance gate, the police blocked it.

Many on social media condemned the DMK minister for seriously compromising the Prime Minister’s security.

Hanuman, The Ideal Diplomat Minister And Soldier Spy

Recently, Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar while speaking at the launch of the Marathi version of his book ‘The India Way’ said that Lord Hanuman and Lord Krishna were two of the world’s greatest diplomats.

“Hanumanji, he had gone ahead of the mission, he had contacted Goddess Sita, burnt Lanka…he was a multi-purpose diplomat,” Jaishankar said.

Since ancient times a prosperous and strong nation is only possible when it has able and competent ministers, diplomats and spies. Today, when Bharat aims to become Vishvaguru and Vishvashakti it should learn lessons from its ancient history and one of the most fascinating characters Shri Ramdoota Hanuman.

Early Life And Childhood

Son of Anjana and Kesari Hanuman is also known as Pavanputra as Vayudeva was his protector. His guru was Suryanarayana from whom he learnt all Vedakosha, Dhanurveda, Gandharva Vidya, Neeti, Nyaya, Prabandhan and politics.

Minister In Vanarraja Sugriva’s Court

After completing his studies from Suryanarayana Hanumanji joined Kishkindha King Sugriva’s court as minister. When King Sugriva was dethroned by Vaali he moved to Rishyamuka Hill Hanumanji was loyal to the king in difficult times and protected him from attacks by mighty Vaali.

From this we learn that it is important for a King to have ministers who are loyal esp. in testing times.

When Sugriva sent Hanumanji to enquire about Shri Ram and Lakshaman’s purpose of visit to Rishyamuka hill he met him in disguise of Bhikshuka, a gave a glimpse of his spying abilities. In a very calm, composed and clever manner he initiated talks with Shri Ram and Lakshaman and praised them. This way he showed his ability to gauge people’s minds. After carefully reading the mind of both Shri Ram and Lakshaman he revealed his true identity and purpose to visit. On hearing Hanumanji Shri Ram first praised him and then told him about the reason to come to Rishyamuka hill. Now Hanumanji showed his diplomatic acumen and realized that about a potential alliance between King Sugriva and Shri Ram. So he took them to Sugriva’s cave at Rishyamuka hill where they both became friends and allies.

From the above we learnt that a diplomat must be sharp enough to read the situation and courageous to take decisions accordingly. It is also not necessary that both allies should have same goals but what matters is they help each other in accomplishing their respective goals, as was the case with Shri Ram and Sugriva.

Shlokas from Srimadvalmiki Ramayana Kishkindha Kand in which Shri Ram praised Lord Hanuman

‘His colourful words flow from all the three sources: the bottom of his bosom, his throat and his head. Whose mind will not adore them even if one happens to be an enemy holding a sword?

तस्य सिध्यन्ति सर्वाऽर्था दूतवाक्यप्रचोदिताः4.3.35।।

Whoever has such great taskmasters of great qualities as their envoys, can have all their goals accomplished, driven by their diplomatic skills.

Hanuman As Lord Ram’s Ambassador In Lanka

King Sugriva and Shri Ram, knowing the all-round abilities and skills of Hanumanji, sent him to Dakshina Disha (Southern direction) to Lanka and search for Sitaji. Hanumanji’s journey to Lanka gives lessons on test, temptation and threats a diplomat should be prepared to face.

Hanumanji was tested by Surasa and got a boon from her. Temptation and favours were brought by Mainaka which he respectfully refused to accept and continued his journey. The demon queen Singhika tried to kill him but he skillfully used his wisdom and might to kill her. Here he taught is that no matter how good a temptation is a diplomat should never fall for it but remain focused on his goals.

After completing his journey Hanumanji reached Lanka and showed his spy skills once again. He changed his swarup and with heart full of Sattvaguna entered Lanka after punishing Lankini. Here he gave lesson that a diplomat should always remain low-profile on foreign land with mind (मन) full of peace, patience and positivity.

In Lanka he minutely observed everything the architecture, security arrangements, lifestyle and behaviour of the people. Next he entered Ashoka Vatika where Sitaji was in the captivity of King Ravana. In Ashoka Vatika he hid on a tree and observed Sitaji and other activities of the Vatika. After closely watching them, Hanumanji wondered in which language he should initiate dialogue with Sitaji as if things go wrong and she gets scared it would create problems.

Here we learn that a diplomat or spy should be very cautious while communicating with people on foreign lands especially those who can help in your goals to protect and further the interest of your nation. One should be careful about their safety and security.

After meeting Sitaji and giving her message of Shri Ram, Hanumanji decided to check the war strategies and preparedness of Ravana. For this he destroyed major portion of Ashoka Vatika and killed many soldiers and generals of Ravana. He got caught by Meghnad so that he could meet Ravana and give him the message of Shri Ram and Sugriva to free Sitaji or be ready for war. It was also a change to gauge the mental state, abilities and knowledge of Ravana and his ministers.

Here we also got to learn that Diplomatic Immunity is not a new concept but ancient Bhartiya practice according to Shastras. Ravana wanted to punish Hanumanji by awarding death penalty but Vibhishana minister and younger brother of Ravana stopped him from doing so citing violation of Shastras and suggested that Hanumanji be given another type of punishment.

Hanumanji used this opportunity and burnt Lanka thereby damaging their assets. He returned to Rishyamuka hill with his group, told Sugriva and Shri Ram about the success of his mission of finding Sitaji and destroying Lanka in big way. Here we learn that a government should know the art of using force in calculated manner to push back its enemies and securing nation’s interest.

In the end I just want to say that more than outside we should look at our own history and Vedakosha for lessons and solutions to our problems and challenges. Bharat cannot become Vishvaguru and Vishvashakti by ignoring its own roots.

Here I am putting a Sanskrit Shloka praising Shri Hanumanji.

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्।

वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शिरसा नमामि।।

Who is Swift as Mind and Fast as Wind, Who is the Master of the Senses and Honoured for His Excellent Intelligence, Learning and Wisdom, Who is Son of the Wind God and Chief among the Monkeys, To that Messenger of Sri Rama, I take Refuge.

#Vanakkam_Modi Crosses 1 Million Tweets, Dravidian Stockist Media Which Went Gaga Over Hashtag Against Modi Silent Now

Prime Minister Narendra Modi came on a short visit to Chennai on 8 April 2023 to inaugurate the new integrated terminal of Chennai Airport and also inaugurated a slew of development projects.

He also flagged off the new Vande Bharat Express between Chennai and Coimbatore before heading to the Ramakrishna Mutt in Chennai to participate in the Mutt’s 125th anniversary.

In light of his visit to Chennai, the hashtag #Vanakkam_Modi was trending on social media. The hashtag crossed more than 1 million tweets. This is the first time that so many tweets have trended in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Tamil Nadu.

In this situation, Tamil Nadu mainstream media outlets like Thanthi TV, Puthiyathalaimurai, and news websites like The News Minute, The Wire, and others that had widely covered about #GoBackModi in the past have looked the other way, despite the fact that #Vanakkam_Modi is trending in Tamil Nadu with over 1 million tweets.

In the past, mainstream media outlets like Thanthi TV, Puthiyathalaimurai, News18 Tamil, and News7Tamil amplified the trending hashtag #GoBackModi in the name of reporting it. If the intention is to report the trending hashtag, then the hashtag #Vanakkam_Modi, which has crossed one million tweets for the first time, should have been reported.

The DMK and its IT cell along with its social media influencers trend the hashtag #GoBackModi whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Tamil Nadu. And each time the hashtag is trended, mainstream Tamil news channels give it ample coverage.

There was a deafening silence from media organizations masquerading as ‘neutral’ media which had jumped in to put a news item whenever #GoBackModi trended. The News Minute which had covered more than 10 articles having reference to #GoBackModi had at least 4 exclusive articles on the hashtag trending on Twitter.

While in opposition, the DMK and its leaders flew black balloons and trended the hashtag #GoBackModi with abusive content, the DMK IT Wing head TRB Rajaa indirectly instigated DMK cadres to attack PM Modi “unofficially”. The sitting MLA also retweeted many tweets that had abused PM Modi.

On the other hand, the DMK government has arrested Tamil Nadu Congress SC Wing leader Ranjan Kumar after he flew black balloons with the words #GoBackModi.

Union Coal Min Removes 3 Delta Coal Blocks From Auction List Following TN BJP Prez Annamalai’s Request

Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, announced on Thursday that three lignite mines in Tamil Nadu’s Delta region had been removed from the seventh tranche of coal block auctions. He stated that the decision was made after BJP Tamil Nadu President Annamalai rushed to his Bengaluru office with a request to exclude three coal mine blocks in Tamil Nadu.

The inclusion of the state’s fertile Cauvery delta regions for the coal block auctioning had sparked a row.

In this situation, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai went to Bangalore and met with Central Coal Mining Minister Prakalat Joshi, submitting a petition requesting that no coal mining take place in the delta region and that the coal mines up for auction in the delta region be removed from the list.

In his petition to the Union Minister, Annamalai said, “On 29 March 2023, the Ministry of Coal released a tender to auction coal mines for Sales of Coal/Lignite. The tender document called for the auction of coal reserves in the East of Sethiathope, Michaelpatti & Vadaseri. In the year 2020, the State Government of Tamil Nadu passed the Tamil Nadu Protected Agricultural Zone Development Act 2020, which bans hydrocarbon extraction in 8 districts (Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagappattinam, Pudukottai, Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Karur and Tiruchirappalli) in Tamil Nadu. These blocks called for auction in the Tender released by the Ministry of Coal are in the Protected Agricultural Zone.”

He further said, “This law was enacted due to widescale farmers protests in the Delta region of Tamil Nadu after the DMK government in 2011 signed up with Great Eastern Energy Corporation for the exploration & later extraction of Coal bed methane from Manargudi. Though the East of Sethiathope, Michaelpatti & Vadaseri blocks were explored for coal reserves in the erstwhile UPA regime, the farmers in the Delta region have unanimously voiced against coal/ coalbed methane extraction from their region as it could affect the quality of groundwater and in turn, could affect agriculture in the Delta region.”

Hence, Annamalai requested the Union Minister that the three extraction blocks proposed in the recently released coal auction tender be removed.

After receiving a request from Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai, Minister Pralhad Joshi stated, “In the spirit of cooperative federalism and keeping the interests of the people of TN in mind, I have directed to exclude them from auction.”

Class 10 NCERT Textbook Calls ‘Sanatanis’ As “Conservative High-Caste Hindus”

Recently, the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) revised its textbooks for class 10-12 in which a few portions have been removed.

Here are the chapters that have been removed in the revised textbooks.

1. Class 12 History ‘Themes in Indian History-Part II’ no longer includes chapters on ‘Kings and Chronicles; the Mughal Courts (C. 16th and 17th centuries)’.

2. Class 12 Civics book, two chapters (‘American Hegemony in World Politics’ and ‘The Cold War Era’) has been removed.

3. Class 12 Polity, The ‘Indian Politics after Independence’ has removed the two chapters ‘Rise of Popular Movements’ and ‘Era of One Party Dominance’.

4. Class 11 textbook ‘Themes in World History’ no longer includes chapters like ‘Central Islamic Lands’, ‘Clash of Cultures’, and ‘Industrial Revolution’.

5. Class 10, ‘The ‘Democratic Politics-II’ textbook has undergone changes, including the removal of chapters on ‘Democracy and Diversity’, ‘Popular Struggles and Movements’, and ‘Challenges of Democracy’.

Now, netizens have pointed out a fallacy that exists in class 10 history textbook India & the Contemporary World-II.

In Page 43 of chapter 2 titled Nationalism in India the term “Sanatanis” is defined as “Conservative High Caste Hindus”.

Courtesy: www.janpeace.com

Sanatani is a Sanskrit term that literally means eternal or everlasting. It also denotes a person who follows Sanatan Dharma (eternal way of life) or Hinduism as we know it.

The definition of Sanatani used by NCERT is the same trope used by DMK, VCK and other Dravidian Stockist anti-Hindu elements to spread canards about Hindus demonizing them as a society which does caste discrimination.

The word “Caste” is a British Construct, as the Hindu Varna system never divides society on the basis of ascription but only on merit & achievements; as in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18 Shloka 41.

LTTE Sympathizer Muhammad Iliyaz Working With Sri Lankan Tamil Smugglers To Revive LTTE Arrested By NIA In Chennai

On Thursday, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Kochi carried out unexpected searches at eight locations in Chennai and seized 10 kg of Ganja as well as ₹82 lakh in unaccounted cash, 300 grams of gold worth about ₹16 lakh, and 1,000 Singapore dollars (61,455) from some individuals they suspected of having connections to Sri Lankan nationals involved in drug smuggling.

A trader named Muhammad Iliyaz who owns a shop in Chennai’s Burma Bazaar area was detained by the team of six NIA officials who conducted the checks. Later, he was taken to Kochi for interrogation.

In order to conduct the checks at the eight locations, including one at a store in the Evening Bazaar area close to the RBI subway, at least 50 members of the city police’s armed reserve unit provided cover. The checks, which began in the afternoon went on up to 9 pm.

The NIA arrested nine people in December 2022 from a special camp for Sri Lankan refugees in Trichy after receiving information that they were all working with Haji Salim, a Pakistan-based drug smuggler. He is suspected of being involved in the March 2021 incident near Kerala’s Vizhinjam port, when Indian defense forces intercepted a boat carrying 300 kg of heroin, five AK-47 machine guns, and 1,000 rounds of 9mm bullets.

According to NIA officials, all of these incidents are connected to a group of Sri Lankan Tamils who are allegedly working to resurrect the banned terrorist organization Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) through drug smuggling and illegal arms dealing.

Telangana: Forest Ranger Who Allegedly Converted To Islam Destroys Dwaja Sthambh, Angry Vanavasis Retaliate

The incident of destroying a holy Dwaja Sthambha belonging to the Tribals by a forest ranger has triggered tension in a village of Telangana.

On 30 March 2023, a day after Sri Ramnavami, the tribals of Gummadiwali village in Aswaraopet Mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district prepared to place a new Dhwaj Stambh made up of a Neem tree’s trunk in Ganganama temple as per their age-old indigenous tradition. Members of the tribal community brought the tree trunk from the nearby forest by taking prior permission from forest officials. While they were preparing to erect in front of the temple as ‘Dwaja Sthambha’, suddenly forest officials headed by ranger Mr. Abdul Rahman reached the temple, cut down the holy Dhwaj Stambh and crushed it into pieces, ignoring the pleas of locals.

The news of the destruction of Dwaja Sthambha spread like wildfire in the district. The angry tribals of the local villages have gathered in heavy numbers and rushed to the divisional forest office, demanding justice and immediate suspension of forest ranger Abdul Rahman for insulting their sentiments and indigenous traditions. The angry tribals were pacified with the assurance from the local police officers and politicians to arrange a new tree trunk and an apology from Abdul Rahman.

Locals say that the forest ranger recently converted to Islam from Hinduism attributing ‘religious angle’ to his action.

DMK Govt Makes Another U-Turn, Pollachi Municipality Reduces Property Tax Hike After Backlash

In yet another U-turn by the DMK government, Pollachi municipal administration headed by DMK has reduced the hike in property tax following the protest by Pollachi BJP cadres.

In April 2022, Pollachi municipality led by DMK Chairman Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan passed a resolution to hike the property tax in the municipality. The increased property tax in the Pollachi municipality was significantly higher than in the rest of the state, causing public outrage against the ruling DMK.

As an opposition party, the BJP, led by Pollachi town president Paramaguru, took to the streets to protest the property tax hike in the municipality.

To intensify the protest against the property tax hike, various methods such as registering condemnation in public grievances meetings, distributing local newspaper ads against the property tax hike, and disseminating notices throughout the Pollachi municipality comparing the property tax with other municipalities, were used by the local BJP leaders. These efforts of the BJP were reported in the leading news outlet Vikatan. According to an RTI request filed by the BJP leaders in Pollachi, the municipality’s property tax collection was three to four times greater than that of the Avadi corporation.

Taking note of the backlash to the property tax increase, the DMK administration, did a U-Turn and passed another resolution in an emergency meeting of Pollachi municipal councilors on June 8, 2022, to reduce the magnitude of the property tax increase. As a result, the Pollachi Municipality’s property tax increase was reduced by 40%.

It was reported in the Dinamalar and other local newspapers that garbage was thrown in front of shops that failed to pay the increased property hike during the tax hike period.

Pollachi local administration’s resolution was approved a few days ago by the DMK state government. However, the Pollachi DMK administration, led by Shyamala Navaneethankrishnan, spread half-truths that the DMK government had reduced the property tax rate. But the fact is that the DMK administration has only reduced the increased tax after receiving backlash.

Here are some of the other U-Turns made by the MK Stalin-led DMK Government.

Busting Dravidoid Myth: Brahmins Aren’t The Only Community Who Serve As Archakas In Temples

Decades before the birth of EV Ramasamy Naicker and the rise of DMK, people from all castes have become archakas and purohits in Tamil Nadu temples. They are still working as priests and performing rituals in thousands of temples even today. These temples are still run by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department.

However, the DMK and other Dravidian Stockists are attempting to project that it was only after their ideologues EV Ramasamy Naicker, Karunanidhi and now MK Stalin that temples have been ‘liberated from the clutches of Brahmins’.

This article will expose the lies of DMK and DK and show how people of all castes worked as priests in Tamil Nadu temples since time immeroial. An attempt has been made to compile a list of temples in Tamil Nadu where non-Brahmin communities work as priests. This will dispel the myths and lies spread by the DK and DMK that only Brahmins serve as priests in Tamil Nadu’s major temples.

Swayambulingam Swamy Temple, Tirunelveli

The Swayambulingam Swamy temple in Tirunelveli’s Uvari coastal village has priests from the Desikar community. It is a 1000-year-old temple managed by HR&CE in which all communities worship.

Tandu Mariamman Temple, Coimbatore

Pandaram community members work as priests at Tandu Mariamman Temple at Avinashi Road in Coimbatore. This temple, which is managed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department, hosts an annual Chitrai festival, Agni Chatti Procession, and Shakti Karakam, in which thousands of people from all communities take part.

Ambalavanar Swamy Temple, Tirunelveli

Priests from the Devendra Kula Velalar community serve at Tirunelveli’s 1,000-year-old Ambalavanar Swamy temple, which is attached to Nellayapar temple.

Vellingiri Aandavar Temple, Coimbatore

Poojas and rituals are performed by priests from the Sholia Vellalar community at the 1000-year-old Vellingiri Aandavar temple in Poondi, Coimbatore. Lord Shiva devotees, Shivanadiyaars from all over the country, will flock to the Vellingiri hills in Coimbatore to worship the god, primarily during the Tamil months of Masi, Panguni, and Chithirai.

Nathan Mariamman Temple, Dindigul

Priests from the Naidu community serve at the 1000-year-old Natham Mariamman temple in Dindugal.

Mariamman Temple, Virudhunagar

The 300-year-old Mariamman temple at Irukankudi in Chattur, Virudhunagar district has priests from the Illathu Pillaimar community.

Thiruvanantheeshvaramudaiyar Temple, Ramanathapuram

Members of the Maravar community serve as priests at the 500-year-old Sivagami Sametha Thiruvanantheeshvaramudaiyar Temple in Melakidaaram, Ramanathapuram district.

Angalamman Temple, Coimbatore

Priests from the Pillai community serve at Coimbatore’s 400-year-old Angalamman temple. The temple is well-known in Coimbatore for hosting a grand car festival once a year.

Eshwaramudaiyar Shivanesavalli Temple, Madurai

Members of the Servai community serve as priests at the Mathurothaiya Eshwaramudaiyar Shivanesavalli temple in Vikkiramangalam, Madurai district.

Other Temples And Communities

Jenagai Mariamman Temple, Madurai – Pillai

Madapura Bathrakaaliamman Temple, Sivagangai –  Mukkantha Nadar

Sivarakkotai Mariamman Temple, Madurai – Pandaaram

Alanganallur Muniandi Temple, Madurai – Scheduled Caste

Dharmaraja Dhroupadi Amman Temple, Pollachi – Pillai

Kondaththu Kaaliamman Temple, Tiruppur – Pandaaram

Arakeeshwarar Temple,  Krishnagiri – Lingayat

Periyamaariamman Kovil, Namakkal – Saiva Pillai

Veerapandi Gaumaariamman Kovil, Theni – Saiva Kannadiyar

For several decades, members of the Scheduled Caste have served as priests at the Subramaniya Swamy temple in Mudees, Vaalparai. Priests from the Vaduga Naidu, Malayalis, and Mudhaliyar communities serve at the Krishnagiri Kannampalli Venkatramana Swamy temple, the Yercaud Cauvery Amman temple, and the Hosur Kaalabairavar temple, respectively.

Not just that many Brahmin communities have their ancestral deity as Ayyanaar where the priest is usually from the Scheduled Caste or other so-called Backward Communities.

So, the DMK and other Dravidian Stockists claiming to uphold social justice by appointing archakas from all castes is nothing but a sham.
