Theemai Kadhaigal: TN BJP Brings Back Anniyan To Expose Dravidian Model Of Healthcare

The Tamil Nadu BJP has released a video titled “Theemai Kadhaigal”, in which it hit out at the DMK over the plight of the medical infrastructure in the state and its failure to fulfill promises it made during the elections.

The video revives the character of ‘Anniyan’, a vigilante character from a movie of the same name who fights against corruption.

The video shows how Tamil Nadu which was once the cradle of medical science in the ancient times has now degenerated into a state where medical negligence is the order of the day. It highlighted how DMK leaders and Ministers get treated at Kauvery Hospital while poor people get sub-standard treatment at government hospitals.

The history of medicine is as old as history of human clan. Inscriptions of Chola period mention the existence of hospitals and medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. Siddha medicine took root in Bharat through sages like Agasthiyar, Thirumoolar, Bogar etc. Surgeries were performed in Tamil Nadu during the Satyug Period. Tamil Nadu had reached great heights in the field of medicine with a very strong infranstructure. But today? When Muthuvel Karunanidhi took oath as  the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. People who believed that Tamil Nadu will move forward on the path of development, do not know that all the sectors are going to face heavy downfall.” it said.

The video points out instances of medical negligence that happened in the state. Many of these instances were highlighted by The Commune in an article dated 29 September 2023.

On 25 September 2023, five babies were still born over two days at Kallakurichi district medical college hospital.

On 14 June 2023, a complaint was raised that a woman had died due to lack of doctors in Thiruvarur government hospital.

On 24 September 2023, in an incident near Annoor, in Coimbatore, a woman tragically died due to failure of doctors to attend delivery on time.

On 15 November 2023, football player Priya who lost her legs due to wrong treatment eventually died.

On 31 December 2023, a one and half year old child from Ramanathapuram had right arm amputated due to improper treatment and died finally. Her mother said, “If the doctor had been there for those three days, my child wouldn’t have lost an arm and I wouldn’t have lost my child today.

The video alleged that in the DMK regime, the health department under Ma. Subramanian has been virtually non-functioning. It noted even the basic facilities in government hospitals in Tamil Nadu are improper.

The National Medical Commission has revoked the recognition of three colleges owned by the Tamil Nadu government owing to the colleges lacking proper infrastructure. At that time it was noted that the CCTV cameras and biometric system were not in place. However, the DMK Health Minister had said that it was an issue that can be fixed in half an hour.

Does the Minister realize that this takes only half an hour to repair after the recognition was rejected?“, the video asks.

The video then goes on to show how even DMK ministers rely on private hospitals with visuals of DMK Minister Senthil Balaji getting admitted to hospital complaining chest pain during ED arrest.

When DMK members fall ill, they turn to Kauvery Hospital. What about the less privileged individuals who rely on government hospitals?“, the Anniyan in the video asks

The video also pointed out the seemingly apathetic response of the DMK Health Minister that came against the backdrop of a shocking incident where a woman who went to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for an angio treatment had to get her arm amputated allegedly due to medical negligence of the doctors.

The Anniyan in the video also pointed out how when the Chief Minister and the Health Minister were walking, they were discussing about Udhayanidhi Stalin’s film “Kalaga Thalaivan” instead of how things are functioning under the health department.

The Chief Minister had asked, “How is the film going? Have you seen it?” to which Health Minister Ma. Subramanian replies “Ah, I saw it on the first day. The report is good. Yes, it is very good. Usually,  at least one person gets up and walks out when a song plays it in a theatre but not in this movie. Film making is good.

We used to be the capital of the medical science. But today we are using paper cups as masks due to lack of oxygen masks. Using mobile phone torches for treatment due to lack of electricity. This kind of disgrace is happening only in Tamil Nadu. The quality of government hospitals is deteriorating.“, the video says.

The video also points out how the DMK has been doing politics over NEET by making false promises.

The recent protest by nurses were also highlighted over the DMK not fulfilling its promise number 356 in its manifesto.

The rich and the influential get the better treatment. while the poor people get very poor treatment. The loss of lives due to DMK Government’s medical negligence has become a casual occurrence. The medical mismanagement is happening here is continuing like a contagious disease. Only poor people are affected in every medical death. The concern DMK shows for a person’s vote. Why don’t they care for their lives? Now tell, will you tell them their punishment, at the polling station? #RejectDMK“, the video ends.

TN Police Lay Siege To BJP TN Head Annamalai’s House, BJP Flagpole Outside His House Removed Allegedly After Opposition From Local Islamists

Tensions gripped on the wee hours of 21 October 2023 when police troops laid siege to BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai’s house and removed the BJP flag post placed outside his residence in Chennai.

Mr. Annamalai’s residence located at Panaiyur, Chennai has a tall BJP flag post just adjacent to the compound of the house.

According to BJP functionary Vivin Bhaskaran, a few local groups had opposed the installation and hoisting of the BJP flag.

BJP Tamil Nadu’s State Treasurer S.R. Sekhar in his social media post alleged that a 100 people belonging to the Muslim community had  gathered opposite Annamalai’s house and protested for the removal of the flagpole.

A report by Tamil Web Dunia noted that the BJP flagpole was seen as a threat by local Islamists in the area.

A few reports quoting officials said that flagpole was located on the highways department road and did not have permission thereby warranting action.

However, local BJP activists noted that a DMK flagpole was just a few metres away and asked why it has not been removed.

It is to be noted that social activist Jayaram Venkatesan of Arappor Iyakkam had pointed out that a flagpole was erected encroaching the Whites Road in heart of Chennai.

After coming to know of the news, hundreds of BJP workers assembled outside Mr. Annamalai’s residence and started protesting. According to sources present at the site, police initially called both the parties for talks but later resorted to lathi charge on BJP cadres. Many courted arrested. Hundreds of police and government officials later laid siege to Annamalai’s house causing commotion. According to sources present at the site, police initially called both the parties for talks but later resorted to lathi charge on BJP cadres. Many courted arrested.

The flagpole was brought down later using a crane.

BJP Tamil Nadu Vice President Karu Nagarajan lashed out at the DMK government saying that the it is making attempts to curb the party’s growth. He said that when there are so many flagpoles of different parties, targeting the BJP flagpole was nothing but cheap politics. He said that the ruling government was hellbent on removing the flagpole of the BJP which did not even have the flag.

BJP functionary Vivin Bhaskaran was grievously injured and a video of him being carried by police officials has gone viral on social media.

Tributes Pour In For Melmaruvathur’s Bangaru Adigalar, Funeral Conducted With Full State Honours

Spiritual Guru Bangaru Adigalar, known for introducing groundbreaking changes that enabled women to conduct religious ceremonies in the inner sanctums of Shakti temples, passed away on Thursday (19 October 2023) due to health issues. Adigalar, aged 82, experienced chest discomfort prior to his demise at his residence in Melmaruvathur in Tamil Nadu. He is survived by his spouse, two sons, and two daughters.

Bangaru Adigalar, initially a teacher, possessed a profound inclination towards spirituality, which gradually led him to devote more of his time to worship, divination, and spiritual service. Over time, he evolved into a revered spiritual guru.

Adigalar was highly regarded for his friendly and approachable demeanor. His public persona began to take shape because of his emphasis on promoting women’s participation in worship and simplifying religious practices.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of his spiritual service spanning more than four decades was his pioneering effort to allow women to enter the innermost chambers of Shakti temples under his administration and those of his followers.

To his devoted followers, he was affectionately known as ‘Amma’ or mother, and they often wore red garments as a symbol of their devotion to Shakti worship.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the demise of Shri Bangaru Adigalar Ji.

“Deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Bangaru Adigalar Ji. His life, rich in spirituality and compassion, will forever be a guiding light for many. Through his tireless service to humanity and emphasis on education, he sowed the seeds of hope and knowledge in the lives of many. His work will continue to inspire and guide generations. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

“A highly evolved soul and great spiritual teacher. His contributions to education, healthcare and social reforms will continue inspiring us. My heartfelt condolences to his family and followers. Om Shanti!” the Governor said.

Chief Minister MK Stalin also expressed anguish over his death,  and announced state honours for the spiritual leader’s funeral to pay tributes to his services.

“When the DMK, after a long crusade, empowered people of all castes to become priests in temples, Bangaru Adigalar’s spiritual revolution, allowing women to perform puja inside the garba graha of temples is admirable. Bangaru Adigalar revolutionised spiritualism for a social cause and ensured prominence to women in allowing them to pray inside the sanctum sanctorum, said MK Stalin.

BJP state chief K Annamalai said the spiritual guru totally involved himself in spiritual and educational work and guided the poor and downtrodden.

“It is a loss to our society. I extend condolences to his loved ones and devotees. May Amman (Goddess) grant his family and devotees the strength to bear the separation. Om Shanti,” he said.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami acknowledged that despite starting his journey as a modest teacher, Adigalar ascended to become a prominent spiritual figure, instigating change across various domains, such as education, healthcare, and the betterment of underprivileged communities.

Former chief minister O Panneerslevam observed that Adigalar adeptly merged social welfare initiatives with his spiritual pursuits, and his absence leaves an unfillable void, as no one can replicate his multifaceted contributions.

Tamilisai Soundararajan, the governor of Telangana and lieutenant governor of Puducherry, expressed grief at the death of spiritual guru Bangaru Adigalar.

His funeral was accorded the 21 gun salute as per the traditions of funeral with full state honours.

Teacher’s Spiritual Quest Ends Up In Alleged Exploitation And Scandal By Pastor At Thoothukudi Church

A teacher hailing from Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu finds herself entangled in a web of deceit and alleged exploitation at the Divine Mercy Dhyana Illam located in Mangalagiri village of Thoothukudi district.

The teacher, who got married in 2013 and has an eight-year-old daughter, had sought solace at the church amid marital discord but ended up ensnared in a sordid tale of manipulation and exploitation.

The teacher, residing in Chennai with her husband, turned to Divine Mercy Dyana Illam to seek spiritual guidance. Church Father Micheal Magilan, a trusted figure within the congregation, introduced her to his helper, Joshua, claiming that Joshua possessed “unique expertise” in prayer.

As events unfolded, Joshua began manipulating the vulnerable teacher, convincing her that she was afflicted by malevolent spirits and encouraging her to pursue a divorce as the path to a peaceful life and spiritual healing. Succumbing to Joshua’s influence, the teacher initiated divorce proceedings with her husband, unwittingly setting the stage for a deeply troubling series of events.

Joshua claiming that her house was under the grip of evil spirits started frequenting eventually the woman was lured by his enticing words.

Subsequently, Joshua took advantage of the teacher’s emotional vulnerability and initiated a private affair. Both of them apparently started getting close and allegedly had sexual relations.

The affair plunged to its nadir when financial exploitation became a central feature, with the teacher sending money to Joshua on his request. She apparently gave money to Joshua in lakhs. However, when she requested the return of her funds, a bitter confrontation ensued.

Further revelations have exposed Joshua as already being married with children, despite deceitfully representing himself as unmarried to the teacher. Upon discovering Joshua’s true nature, the teacher fell into a state of despair, prompting her return to Thoothukudi.

In an act of protest, she staged a dharna in front of Divine Mercy Dyana Illam, demanding justice.

“He will stay with me and do everything but won’t marry me. He will claim he is a saint but will have a separate wife at home.”, she told reporters who had come to cover the confrontation.

The teacher confronted Joshua, attempting to seize his phone and insisting that he marry her. In response, Joshua uttered derogatory and hurtful remarks, stating, “Are you even a girl? No one in this world will marry you.” The heated exchange between the two individuals saw them spilling intimate sexual aspects of their relationship in public view, making even the onlookers cringe.

As the situation escalated, Joshua accused the teacher of filming him nude when they were close and using that video to demand 5 lakh. He also said that she filmed him while bathing without consent through another man to blackmail him.

Church Father Micheal Magilan who had introduced the teacher to Joshua can be seen videotaping the altercation, ignoring the mounting tension and distress in the process. The teacher accused him of exploiting girls who seek his help in spiritual life.

The teacher has lodged a written complaint with the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who has said that further action can be taken only after hearing both the parties.

Other Incidents Of Pastors Indulging In Sexual Exploitation

There have been many incidents where pastors have indulged in sexual exploitation of those who come to them for spiritual solace.

In June 2023, a shocking case of prolonged sexual abuse has come to light, resulting in the arrest of pastor Vinod Joshua of Thoothukudi, who had been sexually harassing a girl since she was 14 years old and had continued his sexual abuse even after marriage.

Pastor Benedict Anto (29) of the Kanyakumari district’s Kollangode area was arrested and imprisoned after videos of him sexually exploiting a woman surfaced on social media. He was allegedly in a relationship with three women from the same family.

Stanley Kumar, a preacher at a church in Magizhvannanaathapuram near Alankulam in Tenkasi district, was arrested by police for sexually abusing women.

In another such incident, the news of a 50-year-old man claiming to be an advocate and church employee raped a Class XI student several times in the guise of assisting her financially surfaced a few days ago.

In January 2023, Tiruppur police arrested a Christian pastor who molested a 15-year-old schoolgirl and a number of working women who stay in a private hostel.

A2B Owner Glorifies EVR Who Abused Hindus And Hindu Gods, Peddles Canards About Brahmins

In a video that has been making the rounds on social media platform X showcasing a clip of an interview between actor and writer Chitra Lakshmanan and the Managing Director of Adayar Ananda Bhavan, KT Srinivasa Raja, a questionable comment made by the business owner seems to have stirred a controversy among customers and patrons of the brand.

In the video, the interviewer asks, “At one point in time, the hotel industry especially the restaurants especially vegetarian ones were run by Iyers and then it started changing, what do you think is the reason for it?”

To this, Srinivasa Raja replies, “Anyone can do anything – the main reason for this change is Thanthai Periyar. He is the one who brought change to the ancestral profession (kulathozhil). Anyone can do any job/take up any profession. Times are changing, governments are providing loans and banks also support people. A profession that was done by a particular community is now being done by anyone and everyone. It’s like anyone can go to the sea and fish.”

Ironically, in the earlier part of the video, he said that his father learnt the trade of cooking and making sweets from a Brahmin cook. He also mentions the names of Haldiram, Agarwal Bhavan, Sri Krishna Sweets, Sangeetha chain of restaurants, Woodlands, Annapoorna, Saravana Bhavan, Vasantha Bhavan, Dasaprakash, Shri Mithai and other food businesses as people who he has looked up to and looked at longingly from the shop’s outside hoping to be successful like them.

Netizens questioned the legitimacy of his claims by asking how A2B which was a small sweet shop which was started in the late 70s/early 80s expanded rapidly in the last decade or so, could attribute its success to EVR who passed away in 1973.

Many netizens also pointed out the poor quality of the food products sold by A2B.

Several others called for boycott of the brand.

Some netizens also wondered why the interviewer was not questioned for asking an illogical question in the first place.

EVR: An Anti-Hindu, Anti-Tamil And Anti-Indian Bigot

EVR (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers) abused the world’s oldest language Tamil and also world renowned Tamil literature like Thirukkural, Silappadhikaram, etc.

In an editorial article of Viduthalai dated October 11, 1967, Periyar called Tamil as a “kaatumiraandi mozhi”, meaning barbarian language. He mentions Tamil as a barbarian language not once but several times during the course of his lifetime. He went to the extent of saying that ‘Tamil is a language that is not even useful for begging’.

Silappadikaram, the great Tamil epic written by Ilango Adigal and belonging to the ancient Sangam literature, was called by Periyar as an Aryan propaganda tool. One of the finest and richest literature ever produced by mankind, he considered it to be a treasure of superstitions and slavery of women.

Kamba Ramayanam, the Tamil version of Ramayana that is revered in Tamil Nadu was denounced by Periyar as a ‘storehouse of falsehood’.

In the edition of Viduthalai dating March 16, 1967, he observed that Tamil scholars and pundits deserved to be imprisoned for life and hanged as they did not create anything that led to society’s progress. He described the World Tamil Conference as a “census to enumerate fools”.

Tamil Saivite literature like Tevaram, Tiruvasagam and Tirumandiram which are part of the Thirumurai, a collection of songs in praise of Hindu God Shiva was called as rubbish by EVR.

While Thirukkural has been a revered work across the world, Periyar called it “feces placed in a golden plate”.

Abused Hindus And Hindu Gods

He had called the presiding deity Lord Rangathaswamy of Srirangam as a god who comes in search of prostitutes.

In 1953, Periyar organized agitation for the desecration of Ganesha idols. He had elaborated extensively on the motivations behind the breaking of the idols. He had said in a speech in 1953, “We have to eradicate the gods who are responsible for the institution which portrays us as sudras, people of low birth, and some others as Brahmins of high birth. While the former go on toiling, without any education, whereas the latter can remain without exerting themselves. We have to break the idols of these gods. I start with Ganesa because it is he who is worshipped before undertaking any task.”

EVR also claimed that no North Indian Brahmin ever died in the war against Ravana. He had also claimed that Rama had married other women apart from Sita for his sexual pleasure. He had also claimed that Ravana was, in fact, a Dravidian King from South India. None of EVR’s claims about the Ramayana has an ounce of truth to them, of course, but he made them anyway. The origins of most of these claims lie not in the Ramayana but in the virulent hatred that he harboured towards North Indians and Brahmins.

EVR had also called for genocide against Tamil Brahmins saying “If one Tamilan (non-Brahmin) dies for one Tamil Brahmin, only 3 of us will die out of every hundred. Balance 84%, sorry.. 100-3 equals 97, 97-3 equals 94. 94% of us will still remain but he (Tamil Brahmin) will be completely eliminated. We will definitely go this level. We can only go step by step.”.

EVR Was Against India

E.V. Ramasamy Naicker is a rabid anti-Hindu bigot known for his pro-British stance when the Indian Freedom Struggle was its peak. He pleaded with the British to not leave India and pledged allegiance to them asking the Madras Presidency to be ruled from London. He even went to the extent of demanding a separate Dravida Naadu and had met Mohammad Ali Jinnah regarding the same.

It is after this anti-Tamil, anti-Hindu, anti-Indian racist demagogue that the A2B owner has glorified in his interview.

Mahua Moitra Cash For Query Scam: Sucheta Dalal Claims She Never Knew Moitra Nor Interacted With Her, But Her Tweets Show Otherwise

There seems to be a black moon rising for TMC MP Mahua Moitra and financial journalist Sucheta Dalal. The trouble has now mounted for both as Moitra is now neck-deep in a cash-for-queries scam after businessman Darshan Hiranandani turned approver and admitted to paying her cash and luxury gifts in exchange for specific questions he wanted her to ask in the Lok Sabha.

Darshan Hiranandani’s statement also mentions Sucheta Dalal, a well-known Indian financial journalist and the Managing Editor of Moneylife, a financial news and information platform. She had shot to fame after she broke the Harshad Mehta Scam in 1992.

Ironically, the investigative journalist who had once reported on financial scams and corporate frauds finds herself embroiled in a scam.

Darshan Hiranandani in his signed affidavit to the CBI had said, “Ms Moitra, in her endeavour, was getting help from other people like Sucheta Dalal, Shardul Shroff and Pallavi Shroff, who were also in touch with her, and who were feeding her with all kinds of unverified information relating to Sh. Gautam Adani and his companies. Clearly, there were others who were also assisting her in this targeted attack.”

He basically accused Sucheta Dalal of working with Mahua Moitra to tarnish the reputation of Gautam Adani.

Popular OSINT handle ‘The Hawk Eye’ has pointed out that ‘MoneyLife’ portal, a supposed news outlet co-founded by Sucheta Dalal, had published more than 50 articles targeting businessman Gautam Adani and the Indian conglomerate ‘Adani Group.’

‘The HawkEye’ pointed out a normative pattern in the headlines of articles published by the news portal against Gautam Adani. ‘MoneyLife’ frequently relies on unsubstantiated questions raised by the Congress party to target the Adani group. In fact, Dalal’s portal ‘Money Life’ has a section dedicated to the Indian conglomerate and said it acted more like a mouthpiece of the Congress Party.

After it emerged that Sucheta Dalal was involved in posing questions to Mahua Moitra, the former denied the same.

In fact, in a tweet, Dalal claimed, “The very fact that he has named me makes this whole letter and his ‘solemn’ statements a farce — I don’t know Mahua Moitra and I think she can confirm it. The question of helping her simply does not arise, NOR did she EVER reach out and ask for any help either!

To counter the serious accusation, Sucheta Dalal in a tweet said, “This is completely stupefying — I do not know @MahuaMoitra personally at all – I may have retweeted some of her stuff. I don’t know Pallavi Shroff and I used to know #ShardulShroff long ago. I dare anyone to find any links between me and them. Requesting IT minister @Rajeev_GoI to help me get to the bottom of it @AshwiniVaishnaw also please help. This is one time the govt ought to help prevent this kind of slander by some crooks!!

But this was countered immediately by defense analyst Abhijit Iyer-Mitra who sent out a tweet where it was as clear as day that Sucheta Dalal was in touch with Mahua Mahua despite denials.

On 27 February 2023, Suchet Dalal had shared an article of Business Standard about the Essar Group forming the ‘Essar Energy Transition’.

In her X post, Sucheta Dalal asked if any MP would be willing to raise question in Parliament about recovery of loan write offs to Essar Group entities.

Responding to Sucheta Dalal’s tweet, Mahua replied “Send me info on this please Sucheta. Thanks” to which Sucheta said “Will do”.

This is in direct contradiction to what Sucheta Dalal had claimed in her recent tweet, that she never knew Mahua Moitra nor had she interacted with the TMC MP.

However, after her conversation with Mahua was exposed she is still in denial of having known her or sent her any information. She said that Essar had filed a criminal case against her for a column she wrote for Indian Express and named on Ravi Muthreja for bringing her name into the current case. She alleged that Ravi Muthreja was moonlighting with Essar and Adani Groups and believes him to be the reason for dragging her name in to the current controversy.

On 15 October 2023, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra of accepting cash and gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani in exchange for specific parliamentary questions. He formally complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, seeking an inquiry and Moitra’s immediate suspension.

Dubey alleged corruption and misconduct, citing bribery between Moitra and Hiranandani for questions favoring Hiranandani’s business. He claimed that 50 of Moitra’s 61 questions aimed to benefit Hiranandani, often targeting rival conglomerates like the Adani Group. He likened her actions to the 2005 “cash for query” scandal.

Moitra responded by inviting ED and CBI investigations into her alleged money laundering after they investigated Adani’s financial matters. She raised allegations of a coal scam involving the Adani Group.

Darshan Hiranandani is the CEO of Hiranandani Group, a Mumbai-based real estate giant diversifying into various sectors, including technology-driven consumer services under Tez Platforms.

“DMK Files Expose Vindicated”: BJP TN Head Annamalai Says In Light Of Recent IT Raids

In April 2023, Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party Chief K. Annamalai released the first installment of the DMK Files, shedding light on the alleged wealth amassed by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leaders, amounting to a staggering ₹1,34,317 crores.

The initial disclosure in the DMK Files centred on DMK MP Jagathrakshakan, unveiling what is claimed to be wealth amounting to ₹50,208 Crores, along with a detailed list of companies allegedly owned by him and his family members. The DMK Files exposé has gained credibility after the Income Tax Department conducted raids on Jagathrakshakan and the businesses linked to him, subsequently releasing a list of purported irregularities.

The IT department conducted sweeping raids at nearly 40 different locations associated with former Union Minister and DMK MP Jagathrakshakan, since 5 October 2023.

The IT Department released a press note on 18 October 2023; it said:

“Income Tax Department conducted search & seizure action in the cases of two groups, primarily running educational institutions engaged in professional courses, on 05.10.2023. These groups are also carrying out other businesses such as distillery. pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and hotels, etc. About 100 premises were covered during the search action in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

A large number of incriminating evidences in the form of loose sheets, hard copy of documents, and digital data have been found and seized. The modus-operandi of tax evasion detected in running such educational institutions includes concealment of fee receipts, bogus claim of disbursement of scholarships, etc.

Large scale evidences about receipt of fee which are unrecorded in the books of account and claim of non-genuine disbursement of scholarships have been seized. The preliminary analysis, so far, has resulted in collecting evidences for such unaccounted fee receipts of more than ₹400 crore and incorrect claim of disbursement of scholarship to the tune of ₹25 crore. In one of the groups, seized evidence indicates that trust was utilizing the services of agents for garnering students, for which unaccounted commission payment of about ₹25 crore has been made.

In the distillery business run by one of the groups, it has been found that bogus expenditure has been claimed for about ₹500 crore towards purchase of inputs such as, bottles, flavours, Extra Neutral Alcohol and freight charges, etc. Such purchases are not corroborated with purchase invoices or entries in stock registers. Several evidences have been recovered showing that cheques have been issued to various non-existent entities and the same have been received back in the form of cash for making unaccounted investments and for other expenditure which are not allowable as business expenses.

The seized documents suggest that amount exceeding ₹300 crore has been diverted from trusts either for personal expenses of the trustees or for deployment in diverse businesses. It includes payments made by one of the groups for acquiring an industrial entity in Andhra Pradesh.

So far the searched have resulted in seizure of unaccounted cash amounting to ₹32 crore and gold bullion of ₹28 crore thereby aggregating to ₹60 crore.”

Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai enumerated the findings from the press release and also added that the expose stands vindicated with this.

  1. Unaccounted Fee Receipts: It revealed unaccounted fee receipts exceeding ₹400 crores in a medical college reportedly run by Thiru Jagath Rakshakan.
  2. Unaccounted Commission Payments: Allegations of unaccounted commission payments in the distribution of scholarships, with an estimated value of ₹25 crore through his trust.
  3. Bogus Expenditure Claims: The Distillery owned by Thiru Jagath Rakshakan is alleged to have falsely claimed expenses of approximately ₹500 crore for the purchase of inputs.
  4. Cheques Issued to Non-Existent Entities: The investigation uncovered instances where cheques were purportedly issued to non-existent entities, and subsequently returned in the form of cash for what appears to be unrecorded investments.
  5. Trust Diversion: It is claimed that a substantial ₹300 crore has been diverted from trusts, ostensibly for personal expenses of the trustees or deployment in various business ventures.

Collectively, the Income Tax Department has asserted that DMK MP Jagathrakshakan is associated with tax evasion amounting to a colossal ₹1,200 crores.

This revelation has sparked intense controversy and further highlights the ongoing political tensions in Tamil Nadu. The BJP and its chief, K. Annamalai, have accused the DMK of being a party that serves the interests of a select few at the expense of the state’s populace.

In April 2023, Udhayanidhi Stalin filed a defamation suit against Annamalai asking ₹50 crore as damages and in May 2023, DMK Chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin filed a defamation case against Annamalai.

Guruvayur Devaswom Board’s Investments Under Scrutiny For Violation Of Guidelines

In a recent audit report, the Guruvayur Devaswom Board, which manages the Guruvayur Temple in Kerala, has come under the spotlight for investments in cooperative banks. The report reveals investments of around ₹17 lakhs in Perakkam and Erimayur primary cooperative banks, a violation of the board’s own guidelines that specify funds should be invested only in Urban Cooperative and District Cooperative banks.

Notably, the board has also invested a substantial sum of ₹117 crores in a foreign bank based in Singapore, which is not in compliance with its guidelines. The audit report raises questions about this investment and calls for a re-evaluation.

The Guruvayur Devaswom Board, which recently submitted its 2020-21 Audit Report to the High Court, disclosed that the money from two temples under its jurisdiction is deposited with cooperative banks. This revelation comes at a time when cooperative banks in Kerala are facing allegations of fraud and loss of depositors’ money.

The board’s defence for depositing funds in cooperative banks in specific areas, such as Perakkam and Erumayoor, is that no alternative banking options are available in these locations. However, these explanations have not quelled concerns, and a Thiruvananthapuram resident, Dr. Mahendra Kumar, filed a plea with the High Court seeking an inquiry into the fund diversions.

Dr. Mahendra Kumar’s plea also demanded that the Devaswom Board’s money be deposited only in nationalised banks and called for the publication of the audit report. Additionally, the plea sought a survey of land belonging to the Guruvayur Devaswom Board.

The High Court took note of these allegations and ordered the Guruvayur Devaswom Board to provide an affidavit detailing the places where the temple’s funds have been deposited. This development ignited public interest, with many, including the BJP State President, K. Surendran, emphasising the need for transparency and accountability in the management of the temple’s finances.

The concerns surrounding the Guruvayur Temple’s funds stem from reports of alleged financial mismanagement in Kerala’s cooperative banks, further fuelling suspicions that temple funds may have been diverted into such institutions. The Karuvannur Cooperative Bank fraud case has sent shockwaves across Kerala, with Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers making arrests and allegations of a massive financial scandal involving multiple individuals and significant sums.

Christian Munnani Leader Who Called For Renaming ‘Chennimalai’ To ‘Yesumalai’ Arrested; Bias Visible Compared To Arrest Of Hindu Munnani Leaders

Saravanan Joseph, the head of the Christian Munnani, was apprehended on charges of sparking a dispute by proposing a change in the name of Chennimalai, a revered Tamil site, to ‘Yesumalai’.

In Kathakodikkad, part of the Murungathovu Panchayat within the Chennimalai Union of Erode District, a Christian ‘jebakootam’ (prayer meeting) gathering took place at the residence of one John Peter on 17 September 2023.

During this prayer meeting, tensions flared as Hindu Munnani insisted that such ‘jebakootams’ cannot be held in residential areas without required official permission.

This dispute escalated into a heated altercation, with both sides involved in physical confrontations. Subsequently, the Chennimalai police initiated legal proceedings against Hindu Munnani, following a complaint from the Christian group. As a result of this incident, two members of the Hindu Munnani were arrested and detained.

On 26 September 2023, the Christian Munnani organized a demonstration in Chennimalai. During the protest, Saravanan Joseph, of the Christian Munnani, issued a warning, suggesting the potential renaming of Chennimalai to Kalvari Malai or Jesus Malai, resulting in widespread surprise and concern.

The Hindu Munnani organised a massive protest at Chennimalai, vehemently denouncing the remarks made by Saravanan Joseph. Thousands of individuals participated in the demonstration, chanting fervently, ‘Chennimalai is our mountain.’

In this development, Saravanan Joseph, a Christian Munnani member, was apprehended by the police in Chengalpattu on Wednesday (18 October 2023).

A case was filed, invoking sections 505(1), 505(1)(C) (pertaining to the intention to incite any community to commit an offense against another community), 505(2) (related to offenses in places of worship), and 295 (regarding defiling places of worship with the intent to insult a religious group) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Subsequently, the individual was presented in court and remanded to prison.

It is notable that, on Vinayakar Chathurthi in September 2023, the Hindu Munnani organised a gathering in Puliyampatti, Erode district. At this event, accusations arose concerning derogatory remarks purportedly made by one of the organisation’s State Secretaries, Senthil Kumar, regarding the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its member, DMK MP A Raja. Subsequently, members of the DMK lodged an official police complaint. The police are trying to nab another person in connection with the case.

About a month following the Vinayakar Chathurthi festivities, Senthil Kumar was apprehended by the Puliyampatti police while he was traveling in a car in Ammapalayam, Tiruppur District.

Reacting to these incidents, the Hindu Munnani voiced their apprehensions, asserting that law enforcement was displaying disproportionate targeting and taking measures against Hindus, while overlooking individuals critical of the Hindu community. They additionally declared their intent to stage a protest against this bias.

While comparing the two arrests, Selvakumar,  the vice president of Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (TN BJP) Industrial cell tweeted, “The Dravidian model government, which arrests him under goondas and non-bailable sections for his social media post, has booked him under the simplest sections of the Indian Penal Code for causing a lot of mental distress to Hindus across Tamil Nadu.”

Mohammad Zubair’s Islamist Supporters Slam Pratik Sinha For Saying “There Is No God”

The chicken has finally come home to roost for the ultra-left-woke web portal Alt News founder, Pratik Sinha who is now in hot soup after his post on X went viral when he said that “there is no God”. This statement did not go well for the supporters of Mohammad Zubair even when Sinha had given his unequivocal support for the Palestinian cause on social media.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sinha said, “Reminder: There is no god. Religion is a made-up thing. There is no one keeping account of the atrocities humans are committing on other humans. No one is keeping track of who’s good and who’s evil. American Presidents who have historically overseen the most amount of killing of innocent civilians across the world live very long lives. George Bush, the inventor of the fiction called WMD, is 77 and continues to live a healthy, hearty life while having authorised the killings of thousands.

Atheism in Islam refers to the disbelief or rejection of the central tenets and beliefs of the Islamic faith by individuals who identify as atheists. In Islam, belief in the existence of Allah (God), the prophethood of Muhammad, and the Quran as the holy scripture are fundamental and non-negotiable covenants of the faith. Also, if anyone does believe in god but they are not Muslim, even they are condemned as ‘kaffirs’ or non-believers.

Atheism in Islamic-majority countries or communities unquestionably has serious social, legal, and sometimes even criminal consequences, as apostasy from Islam is viewed as a serious offense, period. In India, citizens have the right to be atheists and many on the left are passionately atheists and support Islamists which is a paradox.

Alt News is heavily and openly supported by the leftists and Islamists and the tweet sent out by Pratik Sinha who in the eye of Islam is “kafir” is unacceptable.

Here are a few responses from Islamists to Pratik Sinha’s tweet.

Kafir or sometimes spelled “kuffar” or “kafirun refers to a person who rejects or disbelieves in the central tenets of the Islamic faith. The word “kafir” is often translated as “infidel” or “unbeliever.” It is a term used to describe those who do not accept Islamic beliefs and principles, particularly the belief in the oneness of Allah (God) and the prophethood of Muhammad.

The concept of “kafir” is important in Islamic theology and jurisprudence, and it can have different implications in different contexts:

  1. Religious Context: In a religious context, a “kafir” is someone who consciously and persistently rejects Islam and its teachings. In Islamic theology, this is seen as a grave sin, and those who are considered “kafirs” are often seen as being in a state of disbelief.

  2. Legal Context: In Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), the term “kafir” can have legal implications, particularly in matters related to personal status, such as marriage and inheritance. For example, a Muslim man is generally not permitted to marry a non-Muslim woman unless she converts to Islam. Similarly, in some legal contexts, non-Muslims may have different rights and responsibilities compared to Muslims.

It’s important to note that the term “kafir” is liberally used to describe non-Muslims and it is very derogatory in nature. However, apologists give a different religious and legal context and claim that the word Kafir is not necessarily a pejorative term when used by Muslims to describe non-Muslims. However, in some cases and in certain contexts, it has been used in a derogatory or offensive manner, which is contrary to the principles of respect and tolerance advocated by Islam.

The treatment of non-Muslims (kafirs) in Islamic societies can vary widely, depending on the interpretation of Islamic teachings, cultural factors, and the legal and political systems of a given region. Many Muslims and Islamic scholars emphasize the importance of respecting the rights and beliefs of non-Muslims and engaging in peaceful coexistence.
