‘Black Sheep’ Vignesh Summoned By GST Officials For Tax Evasion

The Directorate of GST Investigation has summoned Vigneshkanth, the director of ‘Black Sheep’ TV, to appear in person in connection with GST irregularities.

The ‘Black Sheep’ TV office is located in Kodambakkam, Subramanian Nagar, Chennai. The company, which was started as a YouTube channel, has been developed into a ‘satellite channel’ since January. According to reports, Udhayanidhi Stalin provided the bandwidth for Black Sheep TV, which was purchased for Chitiram TV, which is linked to Kalaignar TV. In addition, relatives of Tamil Nadu CM’s wife Durga Stalin have been appointed as board members to have a hold over the company.

Vigneshkanth, the director of Black Sheep TV, also runs a company called ‘Kadir Network,’ in which Shamugasundaram and Karthikeyan are shareholders. It should also be noted that the alleged company is registered at Arivalayam, the DMK party’s headquarters. Vigneshkanth is also one of the directors of Kalaignar TV and Anjugam films.

In this scenario, a complaint was filed with the GST Directorate of Investigation, alleging that there had been irregularities in the provision of various services, including the purchase of equipment, including a “camera,” for the Black Sheep “TV” channel. Based on that, the GST investigation officers conducted a search at the Black Sheep office and the Kathir network offices on February 10th. The investigation officials discovered several pieces of incriminating evidence of tax evasion.

The authorities also seized the related documents, but they refused to reveal the amount of tax evasion. In this situation, GST officials have sent a ‘summon’ to Vigneshkanth to appear in person and give an explanation regarding tax evasion.
