Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust donates silver brick for Ram Mandir, says ‘Lord Ram is at the centre of belief of Dalits’

In a positive development, the Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust has donated a silver brick for the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, reports Business World.

“We have donated a silver brick to Ram Temple trust. We are sending the message that Lord Ram is the centre of belief of Dalits. Adivasis were with Lord Ram when he went to fourteen-year exile to the forest. We want a grand temple to be built in Ayodhya for Lord Ram,” said Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal, chairman of Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust.

This offer has been welcomed and acknowledged by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra which is overseeing the construction of the temple. Anil Mishra, a member of the trust, welcomed the Ambedkar Mahasabha’s donation of the silver brick for the Ram temple, stating that people are donating to the trust wholeheartedly.

The temple trust had started a fundraising campaign from 14 January to 27 February and so far it has collected ₹1511 crore. The fundraising campaign to build the grand Ram temple is also a noble way to connect and involve 55 crore family-members of 12 crore Hindu families in more than five lakh villages and cities in India.
