16 year old goes missing in Haryana, mother says that a Muslim boy took her

The family of a minor girl in Rewari, Haryana who has been missing for quite some time now, has alleged that a Muslim boy has lured and taken away their daughter. They claim that a JCB driver has reportedly taken their 16-year old daughter away. According to ANI, the mother of the minor girl said: “My 16-year old daughter, missing since 11th Oct, has been enticed by a JCB driver belonging to the Muslim community and taken away.”

The family of the girl had registered a complaint with the police on October 11. However, officials have been unable to locate the accused.

This news comes only days after the Nikita Tomar incident that happened last week. The 21-year-old had been killed in the middle of the road by her Muslim classmate upon rejecting his advances and refusing to convert to Islam despite his insistence.

The Haryana CM ML Khattar said that the Ballabhgarh killing was being linked to love jihad and that both the central and the state government are looking into the matter.

Ever since these two incidents came to light, the Haryana government has been mulling over whether they had to make their restrictions against love jihad stricter. It is to be noted that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath, whose government has been facing intense pressure over a string of rape incidents, said, “Allahabad High Court said religious conversion isn’t necessary for marriage. Govt will also work to curb ‘love-jihad’, we’ll make a law.”
