BJP leader Kompella Madhavi Latha has formally approached the District Collector through the Prajavani grievance redressal platform, demanding urgent intervention to remove the illegal encroachments on the premises of the Sri Panchalingala Swamy Temple in Falaknuma. Once spanning 3.5 acres, the temple’s land has now been drastically reduced to a mere 300 square yards due to alleged unlawful occupation.

During a recent visit to the temple, Madhavi Latha was alarmed to witness the extent of the encroachment. Following her inspection, the District Collector reportedly assured her that a response would be provided within three weeks. Dissatisfied with the inaction so far, she has pledged to pursue all legal and political avenues to safeguard the temple’s land and ensure accountability.

In a statement shared on her official X account, Madhavi Latha expressed her deep concern, stating that the land once a revered spiritual space nurtured by local Hindu families has been systematically taken over. These illegal activities, she noted, have allegedly occurred with the tacit support of certain political actors and administrative negligence.

She emphasized that the issue transcends property rights; it is, in her words, “a direct assault on Sanātan Dharma, Hindu heritage, and sacred temple traditions.” Despite the existence of official documentation, including pahani records, TSLR entries, Gazette notifications, and even favorable court verdicts confirming the temple’s ownership, no decisive action has been taken thus far.

Calling this ongoing silence a sign of deliberate erosion of cultural heritage, she vowed to fight back through every legal and democratic means. She also urged devotees and concerned citizens to stand in solidarity to protect the temple and uphold dharma. “This is not just a fight to protect a holy site,” she said. “It is sacred journey to uphold Dharma and self-respect.”
