Mahagathbandhan Has Handed Bihar On A Silver Platter To NDA

The Bihar Assembly elections are on the verge of commencing, with campaigns actively underway from all involved parties since the announcement of the election dates. The Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD, appears to have squandered a significant opportunity to displace the ruling NDA. The RJD’s chosen candidate for Chief Minister, Tejaswi Yadav, has unfortunately been largely eclipsed by his coalition partner, Rahul Gandhi.

Since the onset of campaigning in Bihar, Congress has seemingly prioritized the promotion of Rahul over Tejaswi, effectively diminishing the presence of latter. Promoting Rahul Gandhi in the Bihar elections, where Congress has struggled to gain traction since the rise of Mandal politics, is a serious miscalculation. Whether this strategy is intentional or amounts to political self-sabotage remains subject to interpretation.

If the Mahagathbandhan truly had a chance against the formidable NDA, it was solely when Tejaswi Yadav was their primary representative. There is no lack of a list of failures during the incumbent Nitish Kumar regime; however, Rahul Gandhi is preoccupied with trivial matters such as SIR and Vote Chori, which has hindered Tejaswi’s campaign from gaining momentum while Rahul remained at the center of attention.

The Congress party also enlisted the support of its alliance partners from Tamil Nadu and Telangana. M K Stalin and Revanth Reddy were actively campaigning in Bihar alongside leaders from Congress and RJD. This approach lacks any sense or logic, especially considering that Stalin has publicly criticized migrant laborers in Tamil Nadu. Furthermore, this strategy does not resonate with the average Bihari at all, and it is likely to backfire.

RJD has failed to take advantage of the shortcomings of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA. Their campaign appeared to be disorganized, resembling random shots fired in various directions. The topics of SIR and ‘vote chori’ do not constitute significant electoral issues in Bihar. It does not require extensive time or effort to confirm this fact. Even a brief discussion in various locations would clearly demonstrate this.

RJD participated in the Congress campaign regarding SIR, which attempted to elevate a trivial matter into a serious concern. Instead, they ought to have concentrated on genuine issues such as migration, the scarcity of employment opportunities in Bihar, and the recently deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Elevating a fabricated ‘vote chori’ to a primary issue effectively provides an easy victory to the NDA.

RJD has frequently depended on its core voter base – the crucial MY (Muslim Yadav) equation, with Muslims making up around 16% and Yadavs 14% of the state’s population. RJD’s excessive dependence on MY polarization serves as a clandestine advantage for the ruling NDA & it cleverly highlights the rogue elements within this combination, instilling a fear of a return to Lalu 2.0, which effectively counteracts the polarization among other communities that are opposed to the idea of RJD regaining power.

Tejaswi Yadav has made significant efforts to unify these votes en bloc. However, this is not the 1990s, and Tejaswi is not Lalu Yadav, who could easily gather support from the backward classes cutting across the castes. Furthermore, the Modi-led BJP is executing OBC politics more effectively than any other political party; even a brief examination of their key office bearers confirms this. Therefore, Tejaswi’s efforts to consolidate his voter base are likely to lead to a counter-polarization, where the non-Yadav OBCs, a substantial portion of SCs, and the General category would align with the NDA.

The achievements of Nitish’s leadership in the NDA are noteworthy, if not remarkable. The initiatives in infrastructure development, such as roadways, metro systems, and connectivity projects like the Patna Mokama Aunta-Simaria bridge, illustrate the persistent efforts of the state government. According to UNDP data, Bihar, which has the highest Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) value in the National Family Health Survey-4 (NFHS-4) conducted in 2015-16, experienced the most rapid decline in MPI value in absolute terms. The MPI value decreased from 0.265 in NFHS-4 (2015-16) to 0.160 in NFHS-5 (2019-21). During this same timeframe, the percentage of multidimensionally poor individuals fell from 51.89% to 33.76%. Additionally, its Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is lower than the national average. Although there is still much work to be accomplished, the state is gradually overcoming longstanding stereotypes.

The NDA government’s announcement of a domicile policy that allocates 35% of government jobs to women has been positively received by the women voters of Bihar. Previously, these voters have shown considerable trust in the NDA Government. Furthermore, the introduction of various women-centric welfare initiatives, such as the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana’ and the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana’, along with programs aimed at disadvantaged groups like the Chief Minister Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme (Sambal) and the Parwarish Yojana for orphans, resonates strongly with the electorate.

Another party, Jan Suraj, founded by Prashant Kishore, is generating considerable media attention in the Bihar elections. Upon closer objective examination, its electoral impact appears to be insignificant. Since Jaganath Mishra, there has not been an upper caste Chief Minister in Bihar. The upper castes have primarily allied with the RJD in the past and subsequently with the BJP in the state. The late Raghuvansh Prasad Singh of the RJD was a prominent Rajput leader, and its current state president, Jagdanand Singh, continues to be a significant figure. Jan Suraj seems to have garnered a faction of disgruntled upper castes who are seeking their electoral relevance; they perceive an opportunity within Prashant Kishore’s organization. However, their overall numbers are not substantial (approximately 15%), and a considerable portion remains loyal to the BJP. Jan Suraj may secure 5-10 seats, largely contingent on candidate selection. Nevertheless, Prashant Kishore’s choice to refrain from contesting elections after promoting the narrative of alternative politics does not instil much confidence.

The victory of the NDA is clearly evident. The Mahagathbandhan attempted to raise issues that do not resonate with the average Bihari. The genuine concerns have been overshadowed, and the electoral prospects of the RJD have been adversely affected by its coalition partners in Bihar.

DMK’s Political Communications Firm PEN Spent Around ₹1.5 Crores On Digital Ads From Jan-Oct 2025

In 2024, The Commune had reported that DMK spent over ₹10 crore in social media ads Via PEN (Populus Empowerment Network) indirectly owned by MK Stalin’s son-in-law Sabareesan.

Populus Empowerment Network Private Limited (PEN) is a Chennai‑based company incorporated in 2022. It is the in-house agency of DMK handling digital and social media campaigns. While official filings list its directors as Manikandan Vasudevan and Prabhakaran Sekar V. Sabareesan (son‑in‑law of CM M.K. Stalin) is said to exercise indirect control over the company.

PEN has managed multiple political and promotional campaigns, including on platforms like Google and Meta.

In April 2024, the then Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai, contesting his first Lok Sabha election in 2024, intensified his attack on the ruling DMK and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s family during his campaign. Accusing the DMK of large-scale misuse of public funds, Annamalai claimed the party spent ₹7.39 crore on social media advertisements through a company called Populous Empowerment Network Pvt. Ltd., allegedly owned by Stalin’s son-in-law, V. Sabareesan, who holds a 99% share. He described this as an example of “crony capitalism,” saying the chief minister’s family was “looting state funds over and over again.”

Annamalai’s allegations refer to paid advertisements run on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) under pages such as Ellorum Nammudan and Stalinin Kural, both managed by Populous Empowerment Network (PEN). The campaigns, launched around March 2024, promoted DMK content, including videos, songs, and anti-Modi messages. According to publicly available Meta Ad Library data, these pages collectively spent over ₹1.2 crore on Meta ads, with some individual ads costing up to ₹2 lakh each.

Reports also indicated that PEN spent an additional ₹9.25 crore on Google Ads. The company was earlier associated with developing the “Makkalin Mudhalvar” app and game designed to promote the DMK’s “Dravidian Model of governance.” Annamalai accused the DMK of misusing state resources for political propaganda while claiming that Modi’s “guarantees” would end such nepotism, separatist rhetoric, and family rule in Tamil Nadu.

Cut to 2025, the ad spends are back in scrutiny. Let’s analyse the social media adverts and how much was spent for each of these ads.

Time Frame For Analysis: January 2025 – October 2025

Since January 2025, a total of ₹1.24 crores have been spent on 229 Google Ads.

Let’s deep dive into some of the recent spends.

The highest-spending days were concentrated in late October 2025 (Oct 22–25), with some days seeing spend up to ₹150,000 and dozens of ads launched, typically in bursts.

Between October 22nd and 24th, 2025, PEN poured ₹125K–₹150K into a single campaign, publishing rapidly pushing it out to an estimated 2–2.25 million viewers.

Ads were shown just about former DMK minister Senthil Balaji who has come to be identified as ₹10 Balaji because of the allegations of scam in TASMAC popularized by Vijay during the Karur Stampede Tragedy.

The average spend per ad by Populus Empowerment Network Private Limited during January 1, 2025 to October 25, 2025 is approximately ₹47,385 per ad.

As you can see, there has been a massive increase in the amount spent since July 2025 as the news cycle was majorly against the DMK government – from sanitation workers protest to Karur Stampede.

Out of the 80 visible ads reviewed, 24 were removed by Google for policy violations, resulting in an approximate removal rate of 30%.

The amount spent on these removed ads was around ₹34.35 lakhs.

Ads in July 2025

The top spending ads ranged from ₹2.5-4.5 Lakhs each, with most high-budget campaigns running for extended periods (30-64 days). Notably, several of the highest-spending ads were removed, including:

  • June-August campaign: ₹4.25 Lakhs
  • June-July campaign: ₹3.25 Lakhs
  • September campaign: ₹2.75 Lakhs
August 2025 ads
Ads in September 2025
Removed Ads in September 2025 and their views

This is just in Google. Let’s take a look at how much money DMK has splurged in Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

Meta Spend Of DMK

PEN runs DMK propaganda pages called Ellorum Nammudan in Facebook (596K followers as on Oct 25, 2025) and dmk_ellorumnammudan in Instagram (113K followers as on Oct 25, 2025).

According to Meta’s Ad Library, ₹3,532,165 was spent from 25 July 2025 – 22 October 2025.

Most of its spending has gone towards ads in Instagram.

And like in Google, a lot of money has been splurged on bytes of Senthil Balaji’s press conference in light of Karur Stampede.

From January 2025 to October 2025, a total of 1054 ads have been been placed through Meta.

In total, PEN has spent ₹4.1 crore for ads through Meta.

Dravidian Model: 71-Year-Old YouTuber Arrested By Stalin Govt For Social Media Post Languishes In Jail For More Than 20 Days

madras high court dmk stalin varadharajan karur stampede

The bail petition of retired police officer and YouTuber R. Varadharajan, aged 71, has been adjourned to Monday by the Madras High Court, extending his incarceration beyond 20 days. He was arrested by the Chennai South Cyber Crime Police on 7 October 2025, for allegedly posting defamatory content against Justice N Senthilkumar of the Madras High Court.

The arrest has drawn sharp criticism from sections of the opposition and political observers, who have described it as an example of vindictive politics under the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government. Varadharajan, a former police officer and founder of the political outfit Nethaji Makkal Katchi, regularly uploads political commentary on his YouTube channel, Nethaji TV.

According to police sources, the action was taken in response to a video where Varadharajan questioned the neutrality of Justice Senthilkumar, alleging proximity to the DMK and criticizing the judge’s remarks on actor-politician Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

The controversy stems from the Karur stampede of September 27, which claimed 41 lives during Vijay’s first major political rally in Velusamypuram. The venue, designed for a few thousand people, saw an estimated 30,000 attendees, leading to a deadly crush.

During one of the hearings, the judge made personal remarks about Vijay’s leadership and the TVK’s organizational capacity — observations that sparked widespread debate on social media.

In the ensuing online discourse, several users, including Varadharajan, reacted critically to the judge’s statements. Police alleged that Varadharajan’s post crossed into defamatory and inflammatory territory, prompting his arrest under provisions related to cybercrime and public order.

The Tamil Nadu Police have maintained that the arrest is part of a broader effort to curb misinformation and hate campaigns following the Karur tragedy. Other online commentators, including YouTubers Felix Gerald and Maridhas, were also subjected to police action. While Gerald’s remand was rejected by the court and Maridhas was released after questioning, Varadharajan remains in judicial custody.

His bail petition, heard earlier this week, was adjourned after the prosecution sought additional time to obtain instructions, drawing criticism from activists who called the move a deliberate delay tactic.

Legal commentators have raised concerns about the chilling effect on free speech, noting that Varadharajan’s prolonged detention over a social media post underscores a tightening environment for dissent under the Dravidian Model government.

Thiru Varadharajan avl’s bail petition has been adjourned to Monday in the Honbl Madras HC . As usual the prosecution wanted time to get instructions . Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin Calls Opposition Allegations “Drama,” Criticizes Woman Farmer’s Claim On Sprouted Paddy

Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin Calls Opposition Allegations “Drama,” Criticizes Woman Farmer’s Claim On Sprouted Paddy

A political controversy has erupted after Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin dismissed Opposition Leader Edappadi K Palaniswami’s claims about rain-damaged paddy in the delta region and made remarks perceived as derogatory toward a woman farmer who had voiced her grievances.

Speaking in Thanjavur, Udhayanidhi said the opposition leader was “enacting a drama” by claiming that paddy bundles had sprouted due to heavy rains. His comments have drawn widespread criticism from farmer groups and opposition parties, who accused him of disrespecting a distressed woman cultivator.

Palaniswami had visited several rain-affected areas earlier this week, where a woman farmer from Varavukottai village reportedly told him that her harvested paddy bundles had begun to sprout after being soaked by rain. Following the visit, Udhayanidhi said he had directed the district administration to investigate the claim. He stated that officials found the woman’s field had not yet been harvested, questioning how she could have brought paddy bundles to the procurement centre.

Udhayanidhi said, “Similarly, the Leader of the Opposition has also told a story that the bundles of paddy here have sprouted after getting wet in the rain. He told the Leader of the Opposition yesterday that a woman is saying that the bundles of paddy that were put here have sprouted. I immediately contacted the District Collector and the Chief Minister and asked him to investigate what it was. The Collector sent officials to the village of the woman in question, Varavukottai, and immediately conducted an investigation. In that investigation, it was revealed that the woman had planted on five acres of rented land. No harvest has taken place in her field till this afternoon. Only she has any idea how she brought the bundles of paddy to the center from the field where there was no harvest.”

Farmer representatives condemned Udhayanidhi’s remarks, arguing that the government should not reveal personal details of affected farmers or dismiss their grievances. “By naming the woman and questioning her honesty, the deputy chief minister is discouraging others from speaking about their losses,” one farmers’ association member said.

Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi defended the government’s paddy procurement efforts, calling the opposition’s allegations “baseless and politically motivated.” He said 1,825 procurement centres were currently operating across Tamil Nadu and that over 10 lakh tonnes of paddy had already been procured since the start of the Kuruvai season on 1 September 2025. Of this, 8 lakh tonnes had been transported to storage godowns, and the remainder would be shifted within 10 days, he added.

Udhayanidhi also said the state had requested the Union government to raise the permissible moisture content in paddy from 17% to 22% to assist rain-affected farmers. He was accompanied during his inspection by ministers R Sakkarapani, K Ponmudi, TRB Rajaa, and District Collector P Priyanka Pankajam.

Vijayawada: Hindu Students Allegedly Denied Entry Into School For Wearing Sabarimala Ayyappa Mala

Vijayawada: Hindu Students Allegedly Denied Entry Into School For Wearing Sabarimala Ayyappa Mala

A controversy erupted at Arunodaya Concept High School in Bhavanipuram, Vijayawada, on 18 October 2025, after two students were allegedly denied entry for wearing Ayyappa Swamy malas. The incident occurred when two boys from Classes 3 and 5 arrived at school wearing the sacred mala, traditionally worn by devotees during the Ayyappa pilgrimage season.

According to reports, the school management refused to allow the students inside the premises, citing a restriction on wearing religious symbols. Upon learning of the incident, the children’s parents arrived at the school and confronted Principal Bezawada Raja Rao. Local Ayyappa devotees also gathered in protest, demanding that the school withdraw its decision. Witnesses allege that the principal misbehaved with some parents during the confrontation and reiterated that students would not be permitted to attend classes wearing the mala.

As the situation grew tense, police arrived at the school to prevent escalation. Following discussions, the school management informed the police that they had written to the District Education Officer (DEO) seeking guidance on the matter and would review their position once a response was received. The police urged both sides to maintain peace, after which the Ayyappa devotees temporarily called off their protest.

The incident has drawn attention on social media, with users comparing it to the more recent Kerala hijab controversy, where a Muslim student was denied entry to a Christian institution. Critics allege a lack of national media coverage in the Vijayawada case, highlighting what they describe as uneven responses to issues of religious expression in educational institutions.

justice gr swaminathan chandru

A public controversy has erupted within Tamil Nadu’s legal circles after retired Madras High Court Judge K Chandru accused sitting judge Justice GR Swaminathan of violating his constitutional oath of office. The accusation, made during a legal event organized by the advocates’ wing of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), has triggered a wider debate about judicial conduct, political affiliations, and the sanctity of the judicial oath.

Justice Chandru, known for his Dravidianist views, delivered the remarks while addressing an event titled “Protecting the Constitution and Supreme Court.” During his address, he alleged that Justice Swaminathan had acted contrary to the principles of the Constitution by participating in a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) function and making statements perceived as inconsistent with constitutional values.

Speaking at the event, he said, “That GR Swaminathan is a strange person, why do I say that? According to this constitution, when we become judges, we have to take an oath.
What is that oath? It is in the third article of the constitution. It says I have accepted this constitution without any like/dislike, you can say it in the name of God, you can say it in the name of anyone you want, but I will uphold this constitution without any like/dislike, without any hatred, to the best of my knowledge, I shall uphold the constitution without fear or favour, without ill will, is what they say. Then if the constitution is to be accepted, those who do not accept it are becoming judges. This same Swaminathan attended an RSS advocates meeting in the state of Haryana and says, what new law is this? They are saying that it is a copy of the Government of India Act of 1935 and that there is nothing original in it. The person who says so is a High Court judge. We can give our answer to those who speak in such a lowly, petty and derogatory manner about Dr. Ambedkar.”

He continued, “But Dr. Ambedkar himself spoke in the Constituent Assembly in 1948 – I am not ready to answer them if they say that this is a copycat book. Whatever I tell them is a waste of my time. Are the fundamental rights that can exist in this country in the 1935 Act? Is there an abolition of untouchability? The government will not discriminate on any grounds. They have said that they will not discriminate on the basis of language, religion, gender, birthright, or place. Is that in the 35th year of the Act?” He said that I do not want to answer all this. But if a judge speaks on stage against the oath he has taken, we still have left him alone. No action was taken against him. Someone threw a shoe and action was taken against him. He has continuously spoken against the constitution. He has spoken in another place – If the demographic ratio between Muslims and Hindus is not the same as it was when India gained independence in 1947, then we should change this law. We should scrap this constitution if the same proportion of the population is not maintained. Our Home Minister also said the same thing last week. He says that this country is a Hindu majority country and if Muslims population is increased in proportion to the population, this is unacceptable. Then Amit Shah and Swaminathan are speaking in one voice. We are just laughing and moving on. What we are saying is that today the judiciary is being saffronized.”

He added, “Where there was one judge, today there are seven or eight judges. He writes a verdict that lying on “echai ilai” is a fundamental right of scheduled caste people. He wrote that if a scheduled caste person rolls over the banana leaf that was eaten on by Brahmins, then they will get to go to heaven. This is a fundamental right based on religion. Two judges have already banned it. Similarly, there is a temple called Kukke Subramania in Karnataka. There also they do this – rolling on leaves where people ate. Mayawati filed a case in the Supreme Court and it was banned. The person who said that rolling on banana leaves that was eaten on is a fundamental right and a religious right is now a High Court judge. That is why I say, this is an act that has made us think. We should take this thought to an ideological struggle. We cannot allow those who abuse the Constitution, criticize, and criticize Ambedkar’s talent on such public platforms. That is why I say that beyond this, we should prepare for a big struggle. I see the protest that has been launched on Thiruma today as part of that struggle. No one condemns it. They are issuing some kind of statement.”

Justice Chandru said that a High Court judge is required to uphold the Constitution “without fear or favour, affection or ill-will,” and claimed that Justice Swaminathan had violated this oath. He described the sitting judge as a “strange person” for allegedly making remarks against the very Constitution he had sworn to protect.

Under the Third Schedule of the Constitution of India, a judge of the High Court takes an oath to “bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution,” to “uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India,” and to discharge duties “without fear or favour, affection or ill-will.” The oath is intended to ensure absolute neutrality and loyalty to constitutional principles.

The Restatement of Values of Judicial Life, adopted by the Supreme Court in 1997, prohibits judges from being members of or having links with political parties. It also advises judges to avoid actions that might give rise to a perception of political bias or affiliation.

The fact that Justice Chandru made his comments at a VCK-organized event has also drawn attention, as the party is known for its strong anti-Hindu stance and political activity. The setting has led some within the legal community to question whether his remarks might themselves risk politicizing judicial discourse.

Who Is ‘Justice’ Chandru?

Former Justice of Madras High Court, Chandru, who has been at the center of controversy following his involvement in the Dravidianist propaganda movie ‘Jai Bhim’, known for his vocal opposition to the central government and his strong alignment with the DMK. His political views and support for Dravidian ideologies have often led to criticisms, particularly his proposals aimed at eradicating caste distinctions in schools. Under the guise of his role in the ‘One Man Commission,’ Chandru controversially recommended measures that appeared to specifically target Hindu practices among students, such as the removal of spiritual symbols like the sacred ropes tied around their wrists, wearing Vibuthi among others.

He has made casteist and sexist remarks about Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in his social media posts.

In a Facebook post, former Judge of the Madras High Court had commented that Annamalai is making a route for a Rajya Sabha seat through Karnataka just like “Oorugaai Ammaiyaar” – a casteist and a sexist reference to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Brahmin and woman identity.

Oorugaai Ammaiyaar in Tamil means “a woman who makes pickles”. This reference is used because it is said that women from Tamil Brahmin community make good pickles.

It is not just a casteist reference but is also sexist and highly misogynistic that indirectly implies that women from Brahmin commmunity are good for only making pickles.

Following this, many on social media called out the casteist and sexist mindset who had once wielded the pen of justice.

Tension In Palladam Over Inauguration Of Mosque Allegedly Built Without Permission

Tension prevailed in the Guruvayurappan Nagar–Arivoli Nagar area near Palladam after residents objected to the opening of a newly constructed mosque, alleging that it had been built without obtaining proper permission.

Residents of the locality had earlier submitted a petition to Palladam Tahsildar Sabari, urging action against the alleged unauthorized construction. Officials said that the mosque’s inauguration was scheduled for the day, prompting residents to warn that they would stage a protest if permission was granted for worship activities.

Police sources said that following reports of plans to lay siege to the Palladam taluk office, Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel were deployed in the area on Thursday (23 October 2025) to prevent any untoward incidents.

During a peace committee meeting led by Tahsildar Sabari, it was stated that approval from the District Collector and the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) was mandatory for the construction of any place of worship, and that religious activities should not be conducted until such permission was obtained. Officials added that the inauguration could be held only after adhering to these procedures, which participants in the meeting reportedly accepted.

Meanwhile, Indu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath was expected to visit the area. Police said that a protest had been announced under his leadership against the alleged unauthorized mosque, and that precautionary measures, including his possible preventive detention, were being considered.

U-Turn Thirumavalavan: A Leader Who Can’t Remember What He Said Yesterday

VCK MP Thirumavalavan praising Hamas

VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan has come under controversy following a series of public remarks concerning an alleged assault of a motorist whose vehicle had been rammed into allegedly by Thirumavalavan’s car near the Madras High Court a few days ago.

At an event near Thirukazhukundram, Thirumavalavan recounted that a man had blocked his vehicle and that some of his party volunteers reportedly beat the individual multiple times. He also stated, “We don’t know who he is or what caste or religion he belongs to. The escort police asked him to move aside, that’s all. He stared at the police. When the others asked him to move aside since the party leader is in the vehicle, he stared again. He got beaten up because he stared and not because they knew which caste he belonged to. Are you so arrogant and self-conceited? So, they beat him up because he arrogantly stared. They gave him 4 knocks, did not even beat him up well. (crowd cheers). That man pretends to have fainted and has chest pain. What a drama. “

However, in a more recent video from an event at Chennai’s Muthamizh Mandram, Thirumavalavan claimed that news reports claim his cadre beat the motorist up mercilessly and that he was in grave danger and lying in a hospital for 15 days, which he dismissed as “drama.” He added, “In order to expose this drama, I said, they knocked him 4 times, they didn’t even beat him properly. But he is lying in the hospital. This was what I said.”

The remarks made by Thirumavalavan prompted the court to order an inquiry into whether his statements had incited the assault.

Later, at another function at the Chennai Muthamizh Mandram, Thirumavalavan changed his stance, saying he learned about the incident only after watching the TV news. He claimed, “My car did not even stop for 20 seconds, no one rolled down the windows, and no one got out of the vehicle — the crowd gathered and ran, and we drove off without involvement. I only learned that such an incident happened after watching the video released by that private television channel.”

He insisted he only became aware of the assault after seeing it on television, though footage showed the event happened at 2:34PM, and by 2:39 PM, a private channel Polimer News had uploaded the video online. He said, “That private TV channel was the first to telecast and spread the story that Thiruma’s car hit the bike. That’s the first spark for the problem, and within minutes of that, the video is uploaded to their website. The incident seems to have happened at 2:34 PM. At 2:39 PM, the television station’s digital site went live and updated it.”

Critics accused him of lying again, since the footage had surfaced almost instantly after the altercation.

Thiruma alleged, “No one has yet asked who took the video from the front. How did he know this was going to happen?”

List Of Thiruma’s Lies & U-Turns

10 years ago, at a public meeting in Pulianthope, Thirumavalavan said he had said that most of the temples were Buddhist viharas, and that the news was that Thirumavalavan was saying to demolish Shiva temples. These are the pearls that Thirumavalavan opened his mouth and spilled that day.

On Ayodhya Ram Mandir

What Thirumavalavan said back then – “There is no evidence that Rama was born at that place. It is inappropriate for us to ask for proof because if Rama was born, they could have shown it. There is no way to do that since he is an imaginary character. Even so, history is only 2000 years old. They say he was born about 50,000 years ago. If you look at it that way, all the places where Shiva temples and Perumal temples are today, were Buddhist viharas. You are building Shiva temples only after demolishing Buddhist viharas and razing them to the ground. You are building Perumal temples. Therefore, you should demolish all that and raze it to the ground and build Buddhist viharas in those places.”

What Thirumavalavan claimed he said – “You are saying that Ram was born in that place and they demolished the Ram temple and built the Babri facility. It may have been there 400 years ago. We are not arguing that it was not there. It may have been there. Should we demolish this and build a temple there? If we go and examine every Perumal temple and Shiva temple, studies show that there were Buddhist viharas in all the places where there were Shiva temples and Perumal temples. What will happen if we start demolishing Shiva temples and Perumal temples because there were Buddhist viharas in these places? I was talking in the sense that why can’t we build a Ram temple next to a mosque.”

On Manusmriti & Women

What Thiruma said then, “Manusmritis are against equality, against social justice, and especially against women. Chastity is a doctrine that was invented to oppress women. The doctrine of chastity is the very thing that creates the antithesis of adultery. Sanatanam suppressed women based on these two ideas. If she wanted to be chaste, she would have been forced to marry at the age of eight and then at the age of six.”

What Thiruma claims he said – “They are saying that all women, including Brahmin women, are considered to be Sudra caste and that all women are not trustworthy, that is, they come to their husbands and others in other troubles, that they are not trustworthy, that they can come at any time and make mistakes, and so on. This is what Manusmriti is saying, now it is degrading the entire female race. That is one interpretation.”

Temple towers have obscene statues

What Thiruma said then – “If the building has a dome, it is a mosque. If it is tall and straight, it is a church. And if it has dirty figurines, it is a temple”.
