“They’re Using An Old Photo Portraying Me As Indian To Scam”: Brazilian Woman Whose Photo Rahul Gandhi Used For His ‘Vote Chori’ Propaganda Narrates Her Ordeal With Her Privacy Getting Violated

A fresh controversy has erupted around Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “vote chori” (vote theft) campaign, after a Brazilian model’s old photograph was used in his presentation alleging voter ID manipulation in Haryana. The woman, identified as Larissa, has now spoken out, expressing shock and distress at finding her image projected in a major Indian political event without consent.

In a video message that has since gone viral, Larissa said in Portuguese (translated), “Folks, let me tell you the gossip. You’re laughing too much, aren’t you? I’m going to tell the gossip. Folks, they are using an old photo of mine. My photo is old, okay? Look, I was very young in the photo. [I must have been] about 20 years old, 18 years old.”

She further said, “They are using a photo of mine to run, I don’t know if it’s an election, something where you have to vote. And in India, they are portraying me as an Indian woman to scam others, folks.”

“Then a reporter called me wanting to know about this thing. [He] called the salon where I work, wanting to talk to me for an interview. So I didn’t answer… The guy found my Instagram, called me on Instagram,” she added.

The model said she had been flooded with messages and even received the viral image from friends in other cities who were confused by the situation.

Overwhelmed by the sudden attention, Larissa has reportedly made her social media account private.

Online searches show that Larissa’s image is part of a portrait series by Brazilian photographer Matheus Ferrero, widely available on free stock photo platforms.

Her ordeal began after Rahul Gandhi displayed her image during a press conference as “proof” of fake voter IDs allegedly used by the BJP during the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. Gandhi had claimed the same woman’s photo appeared on 22 voter cards across 10 polling booths, calling it evidence of a “centralised voter fraud operation.”

Meanwhile, CNN-News18 interviewed one of the women whose voter ID allegedly featured the Brazilian model’s photo. The woman, identified as Pinky Juginder Kaushik, clarified that it was a clerical error. She said, “Yes, I went to cast my vote myself at the village school. The names are the same, but there was a mistake with the photo — they used someone else’s picture. Nevertheless, I did vote. No one pressured me to vote. I showed my slip and then cast my vote.”

It was found that one of the ladies whose photo was shown as Larissa’s in the presentation by Rahul Gandhi, had her image in the voter ID card. So, did Rahul Gandhi manipulate it?

Additionally, the Election Commission refuted his allegations, stating that the Congress’s own polling agents had raised no objections during the voting process. Later, investigations by The Indian Express found that several examples cited by Gandhi did not substantiate claims of voter list manipulation.

This incident is not the first time Gandhi’s exposés have breached individual privacy. During a similar “vote chori” presentation earlier, a man named Anjani Mishra from Prayagraj had his phone number and photo displayed on screen. Following that, Mishra said he was inundated with calls from across India, forcing him to consider filing a complaint.

Larissa’s experience has revived that debate — with critics accusing Rahul Gandhi of being reckless in handling personal and identifiable data during public presentations.

Many social media users noted that after a common man’s details were exposed earlier, even a foreign woman had now become entangled in the controversy, raising concerns about repeated privacy violations for political theatrics.

Brazilian Model Larissa Shocked As Her Old Photo Used In Rahul Gandhi’s Haryana ‘Vote Chori’ Claim

brazilian haryana polls vote chori rahul gandhi

A bizarre twist emerged in the Haryana “vote chori” (vote theft) controversy after a Brazilian model’s old photograph surfaced in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s presentation alleging large-scale voter ID manipulation in the state.

The image, reportedly taken years ago, was used in visuals Gandhi displayed during a press conference, where he claimed that the same woman’s photo appeared on multiple voter cards in Haryana.

The woman in the photograph has now been identified as Larissa, a Brazilian model and influencer. After discovering that her image had been used in Indian political debates, Larissa reacted with disbelief. In a video message posted online, translated from Portuguese, she said“Folks, let me tell you the gossip.

“There’s this failed politician that lost nearly 100 elections in India, using my old pics to amplify his lies and propaganda against the ruling party. His party members are so obsessed with me and proposing to me in DMs. Yuckk.”

Her reaction came after the image went viral on social media when fact-checker Mohammed Zubair shared the video, pointing out that the photograph shown in Rahul Gandhi’s presentation did not belong to any Indian voter.

Larissa said she had been inundated with messages after the controversy broke out and even received the viral image from a friend living in another city.

Online searches reveal that her photo is among several portraits taken by Brazilian photographer Matheus Ferrero. Following her reaction video, screenshots and clips from it have rapidly gone viral across social media platforms.

The revelation triggered widespread discussion online, with many users mocking the mix-up and others questioning how the image came to be linked to Indian electoral rolls.

The controversy began after Rahul Gandhi, during a press conference, accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating widespread voter fraud during the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. Displaying a slideshow of alleged mismatched photos and names from voter cards, Gandhi began his presentation with the Brazilian model’s photo, captioned “Yeh kaun hai?”

Gandhi claimed the same image appeared 22 times across at least 10 different polling booths, alleging that it was part of a “centralised operation” to manipulate the electoral rolls. He said,

“Congress lost the election by 22,000 votes, but who is this lady? She votes 22 times in Haryana, in 10 different booths in Haryana. She has multiple names.”

The Election Commission later refuted Gandhi’s claims, stating that the Congress’s own polling agents did not raise objections during the voting process and that procedural checks had been followed.

Further investigation by The Indian Express found that several of Gandhi’s highlighted examples did not substantiate the alleged “vote chori.” For instance, Gandhi pointed to an address in Hodal (House No. 150, Gudhrana village) with “66 voters” and another with “501 voters” as evidence of manipulation. However, a field visit revealed that the property was a large ancestral plot housing four generations of an extended family, each residing in separate homes but registered under the same house number explaining the high number of legitimate voters.

Alleged Journalist Rana Ayyub Gushes Over Zohran, Ghazala, Sadiq Khan But Scorned Kash Patel’s Appointment

Alleged journalist and fake news spreader Rana Ayyub drew criticism online after celebrating New York City mayoral election winner Zohran Mamdani, an openly Islamist-leaning politician, on social media. Sharing a photo with Mamdani and his mother, filmmaker Mira Nair, Ayyub wrote on X (in a now-deleted post), “You raised him well Mira #Zohran.”

Soon after, netizens resurfaced Ayyub’s older posts to highlight what they called her double standards in celebrating political achievements based on religion.

When Indian-origin Kash Patel was sworn in as the Director of the FBI in February 2025, Ayyub had mocked those expressing pride, saying, “The Indians simping for Kash Patel because of his Gujarati surname need to calm down and get more real. Stop embarassing yourself, and just do some reading before jumping in excitement.”

It is noteworthy that Patel’s FBI thwarted a possible terror attack in Dearborn, Michigan around Halloween and arrested Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud who were residents and had been stocking in on the ammunition just a few days before the possible attack.

In contrast, she had earlier praised Muslim-origin politicians such as Ghazala Hashmi, calling her victory in Virginia “a historic first.” She wrote, “Meanwhile, Indian origin Ghazala Hashmi has become the first Muslim woman elected to state office in the United States, winning the Virginia Lt. governor’s race. A day of Historic firsts.”

She also shared an article lauding London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s rise. The article was titled “Sadiq Khan’s Journey: From A Bus Driver’s Son To London’s First Muslim Mayor #SadiqKhan”

Kash Patel is the first Indian-American to serve as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – but the likes of Ayyub do not want to celebrate that just because he is Hindu, and a Gujarati-origin Hindu to top it. Additionally, Patel chose to swear in on the Bhagavad Gita – a move that likely caused a lot of heartburn to the Islamists across the world, especially those in India.

Following the backlash, Ayyub quietly deleted her post on Zohran Mamdani.

“Brazilian Woman Voted”: Congress Lies So Bad That Even Their Lackey Is Forced To Fact-Check

brazilian haryana polls vote chori rahul gandhi

Rahul Gandhi continues to peddle his “hydrogen bombs” that are turning out to be duds that even the poorest quality cracker manufacturers can make better bombs – bombs that burst atleast.

After his ‘vote chori’ allegations for the Haryana 2024 Assembly polls didn’t even ruffle a little, his minions in the Congress are trying to rake up a non-existent issue that has forced even an alleged fact-checker to fact-check!

Continuing his vote theft allegations in Haryana polls, in a ‘press conference’. Rahul Gandhi alleged massive “vote chori” in Haryana’s 2024 Assembly elections, claiming that the photo of a Brazilian model was used multiple times on the state’s electoral rolls.

Displaying the image at a press conference, he said the same woman’s photo, whose photo happens to be sourced from a free stock website, appeared under different names like Seema, Sweety, and Saraswati across 10 booths in the Rai constituency.

Gandhi claimed this reflected a “centralised operation” involving 25 lakh fake or duplicate voters. The image in question, taken by Brazilian photographer Matheus Ferrero and uploaded on Unsplash in 2017, has been widely circulated online and used in various Indian media and beauty blogs.

Following Gandhi’s revelation, Ferrero’s Instagram profile disappeared amid a surge of Indian comments. Gandhi accused the BJP of systematically manipulating voter lists across states, alleging that such fraudulent entries influenced Haryana’s election outcome, which saw the BJP’s Nayab Singh Saini retain power.

On social media platform X, here’s what happened. Kerala Congress’s X handle, in an attempt to keep aloft their leader’s image made an atrocious claim – that a Brazilian citizen Congress Kerala named Matheus Ferroro voted in 22 names in Haryana under the names ranging from Sweety to Saraswathi.!

They further wrote, “The wonder called @ECISVEEP! Do you need more evidence that Haryana Elections were rigged totally?!” and shared a photo of a lady – who is allegedly a model.

Even a lay person with minimum general knowledge and IQ can guess that the name Matheus sounds male, but the admin of the handle seems to be lacking on that front.

This forced, even a Congress supporting, alleged fact-checker who peddles fake news for most part, to prove Congress wrong.

Mohammed Zubair, the alleged fact-checker wrote, “The name of the Photographer is Matheus Ferrero who clicked this model’s photo.” and shared images of the model and details of it being available for free download.

A basic google search would have shown who the lady was and who Matheus was, but Congress has a very bad compulsion to lie just to show the ECI and the BJP in bad light, they forget to fact-check their own content before posting – just like their master Rahul Gandhi.

Meet Zohran Mamdani’s Bestie Hasan Piker, A Radical Leftist Influencer Of Turkish Origin Who Called India A Rogue State, Jews As ‘Inbred’ & Said America Deserved 9/11

Meet Zohran Mamdani' Bestie - Leftist Streamer Of Turkish Origin Hasan Piker Who Called India A Rogue State, Called Jews 'Inbred" & Said America Deserved 9/11

New York has fallen, like London, to the hands of Islamists, to the hands of those terror sympathizers. Yes, Zohran Mamdani has won and become the mayor of New York City.

But did you know, Mamdani’s connections are not just limited to terror-linked organizations. Mamdani’s friendship cuts across nationalities to be united by religion.

One among those buddies of Mamdani’s is Hasan Piker.

We had earlier reported about how Mamdani was on a podcast with Piker and this was after Piker stated (during a different podcast) that his favourite flag was that of Hezbollah. He even called them a “resistance group.”

Who Is Hasan Piker?

Hasan Piker or Hasan Doğan Piker is a Turkish origin American who also identifies as a Democratic Socialist like Mamdani. He frequently critiques American capitalism, Republican policies, and also criticized the Democratic establishment for being too moderate.

Piker is the nephew of Cenk Uygur, founder of The Young Turks (TYT) – a progressive news and commentary network.

Hasan is known for his absolute hate for the Jews and is seen especially during his podcasts and livestreams that he carries out on Twitch.

Hasan allegedly livestreams every day for 8 hours from his multimillion-dollar West Hollywood home to 2.8 million followers on Twitch, commenting on everything from say a Supreme Court ruling to his workout regimen. Mainstream news outlets have called him the “AOC of Twitch” and a “model for the future of progessive media”. New York Times has published a glowing profile of Hasan – without addressing the controversial side of him.

Piker comes with his share of baggage and atrocious statements.  Let us take a look at his ‘diatribes against the Zionist movement’.

Hasan Piker Statements

In one episode, he said, “Doesn’t matter if rapes happened on October 7, that doesn’t change the dynamic for me even this much.”

In another he said, “Any kind of f**king Zionist entity should be treated in the same way as being a f**king rabid neo-Nazi.”

At another time he said, “Oh my god, these inbred f**king douchebags in the background, dude.” (when discussing some image)”.

He also said, “You shouldn’t even let someone be the f**king local dogcatcher, if they’ve exhibited any sort of f**king positive feelings about the state of Israel. I’m so serious about this.”

He has been seeing glorifying Hamas propaganda video that says, “We will continue killing your soldiers by our locally manufactured sniper.”

He also glorified a Houthi propaganda video that included signs displaying the Houthi credo – God is great. Death to America. Death to Israel. Damn the Jews. Victory to Islam.” He said, “When the beat drops, it’s like jihad drops in your heart a little bit.”

Jews are inbred

In another livestream, he is heard saying, “There are two grave threats to Israel’s existence. It is not Iran, Hezbollah or Hamas or anything like that. The greatest threat to Israel is Israelis themselves. I am leaving, I am going back to Brooklyn, I am going back to France. When more and more liberal Israelis who are themselves most likely bloodthirsty as well in terms of how Israel has dealt with Gaza or whatever but they don’t like the negative consequences of Israel doing that which is the iron dome and its security perishing. You are left with a country that is packed to the f**king gills with the most inbred, uneducated, ultra nationalist rabid population.”

During a livestream, he said, “The ultraorthodox Jews leaving Israel is hilarious. If they serve in the military and they get their untrained inbred a**es shipped into Southern Lebanon, again very funny, I don’t know if it will happen…”

Calls Asians “Dogs For White People”

Reacting to a comment from a viewer that his recent report on Asia and Asian related news has been horrible. He replied, “There is nothing more annoying to me than 1st generation 2nd generation 3rd generation Asian m****rf**kers who are dogs to white people. You are literally barking for white people. Shut up, they do not give a f**k about you, dum**ss.”

ISIS only kills Muslims, never attacks Israel

In another livestream, he said, “On the other hand, you have obviously ISIS which is this terrorist cell that seemingly never attacks Israel and only kills Muslims, weirdly enough, don’t know what that’s about. I am not pointing fingers. Has the American forces defended ISIS at times, yes, has Israel defended ISIS at times in Syria, yes, they have.”

In 2024, he compared a terrorist to holocaust victim Anne Frank. It is noteworthy that the Houthi movement’s official emblem includes the phrase “Curse the Jews” – a slogan that is explicitly antisemitic.

Love For Pakistan, India – A Rogue Terrorist State

If you thought he was only antisemitic, you’re wrong. Given his Turkish roots, the underlying hatred for India is also very explicitly shown in his livestreams.

In one such livestream he said, “…it violates the sovereignty of another nation state, so is Russia. A great example of this is Russia. Any state that violates the sovereignty of another state and strikes civilian targets is a rogue terrorist state (talking about India). But I would go far as to say, yeah they are doing terrorism.”

Discussing another analysis, he added, “Also her analysis on the matter is putting the BJP guy in a very different light. She is coming across as way more restrained and way more informed instead of just simply saying that there is no evidence, no direct ties to Pakistan’s involvement in the terror attack that took place. Who gives a f***? They’ve been doing this for 30 years. We have to get blood.”

Reading a comment which denounced him calling India a rogue terrorist state, he said, “This is a rogue terrorist state action. That is precisely what happened, just like what Russia has done.”

Face of Twitch and the runner up antisemite of the year Hasan Piker is calling India a “rogue terrorist state” in defense for Pakistan.

America Deserved 9/11

In a very old video, he talks about a soldier who lost his eye during a war and says, “This guy has the understanding of foreign policy like a 12-year-old. Can he go to war and lose his eye because some Mujahideen, a brave solider, f**ed his eye hole with their d***? isn’t that how he lost his eye? America deserved 9/11, I am saying it.”

Amul Tops Global Cooperative Rankings

Two of India’s farmer-owned cooperatives have achieved global recognition, with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (Amul) emerging as the number one cooperative in the world, and the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) ranked second.

The rankings were announced by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) in its World Cooperative Monitor 2025 report, unveiled at the ICA CM50 conference in Doha, Qatar. The ICA, headquartered in Brussels, represents cooperatives worldwide and promotes sustainable, member-driven business models.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah described the achievement as “a proud moment for Bharat.” He said it honoured the tireless dedication of millions of women associated with Amul and farmers contributing to IFFCO, calling the recognition “a testament to the boundless potential of India’s cooperative model being transformed into a global force of empowerment and self-reliance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Developed in partnership with the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (EURICSE), the World Cooperative Monitor assesses the economic and social performance of leading cooperatives globally.

Amul, owned by over 3.6 million dairy farmers, said the recognition reflected its “consistent growth, innovation, and people-first approach in a competitive global market.” Managing Director Jayen Mehta noted that Amul’s model extends far beyond economics, supporting several UN Sustainable Development Goals — including poverty reduction, gender equality, and sustainable communities.

“Amul’s currency isn’t milk — it’s trust, the trust of millions of producers and billions of consumers,” Mehta said at the Doha event. “This recognition reaffirms the enduring strength of India’s cooperative movement and the vision of our founders to create prosperity through collective enterprise.”

How DMK Has Unfairly Treated Amul

The DMK government has politicized Amul’s entry into TN, using regional sentiment to protect its own cooperative Aavin, even as Aavin’s inefficiency, corruption, and poor pricing hurt Tamil Nadu’s dairy farmers. Meanwhile, the ruling family benefits from Amul’s corporate partnerships, exposing a clear double standard.

In May 2023, Chief Minister Stalin wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging him to stop Amul from procuring milk from Tamil Nadu’s dairy farmers, alleging that it would create “unhealthy competition” for the state-run Aavin cooperative. However, this opposition stood in stark contrast to the position of the Tamil Nadu Milk Dealers Welfare Association, which publicly declared that it would “welcome Amul,” having lost faith in Aavin’s ability to protect the interests of milk producers and dealers. The association pointed out that state officials and ministers have long exploited the milk industry without solving the issues faced by local farmers and traders, leaving them disillusioned with the DMK’s promises.

Critics have accused the DMK of using the Amul–Aavin debate as a diversionary tactic to conceal Aavin’s inefficiency and declining performance under their administration. Data showed that Aavin’s milk procurement had dropped since the DMK came to power, with Aavin buying just 32 to 35 lakh litres per day out of the state’s total milk production of 244 lakh litres per day – barely 14 percent of Tamil Nadu’s total output. Also, while Aavin paid farmers only ₹32–₹34 per litre, Amul offered a better rate of ₹34–₹38, which would directly benefit rural producers.

Yet the DMK government continues to resist Amul’s presence, presenting it as a threat to regional interests while ignoring the fact that Amul has long operated successfully in neighboring states without causing harm to local cooperatives.

What makes the DMK’s position even more contradictory is its own family’s commercial association with Amul. Amul Organic was an official sponsor of the SunRisers Hyderabad IPL team, owned by Kalanithi Maran—the brother of DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran and a key member of the extended Stalin family. This partnership demonstrates that Amul’s participation is acceptable when it benefits DMK-linked business ventures but unacceptable when it empowers Tamil Nadu’s dairy farmers.

The DMK’s conduct also exposes the government’s neglect of Aavin’s internal problems; former minister ‘Avadi’ Nasser allegedly bypassed Aavin in awarding a Diwali sweets contract to a private firm, while Health Minister Ma Subramanian excluded Aavin milk powder from government nutrition kits for lactating mothers despite Aavin’s willingness to supply it.

Instead of reforming Aavin or increasing its procurement from farmers, the DMK chose to manufacture an Amul-versus-Aavin conflict reminiscent of the Congress Party’s regional chauvinism in Karnataka, where it pitted Nandini against Amul for electoral gain. In reality, Amul’s procurement rates, operational transparency, and cooperative model are far more beneficial to farmers than the DMK’s politically manipulated system, which turned Aavin into a vehicle for patronage and propaganda.

Did The Hindu’s Vijaita Singh Accept That Her Boss N Ram Is A ‘Foreign Agent’?

A social media post by The Hindu drew criticism after users accused the publication of hypocrisy over claims of journalistic neutrality.

The controversy began when The Hindu’s official X account shared a promotional video declaring, “When gossip is dressed up as news, it stops being journalism. Read, hear, and share news written by journalists.”

Shortly after, senior reporter Vijaita Singh reshared the post, adding, “Read news written by journalists, not party pracharaks.”

Her comment sparked sharp reactions from users who alleged that The Hindu was engaging in partisan posturing while claiming objectivity.

Several users highlighted that N. Ram, former Editor-in-Chief and current Director of The Hindu Publishing Group, has previously attended events organized by DMK and Communist-affiliated groups, questioning the paper’s claims of neutrality.

Responding to one such post, Vijaita Singh wrote, “The beauty of democracy — foreign agents can also speak their mind.”

Vijaita’s remark was interpreted by many as a possible (?) reference to her own employer, N Ram. Some users even joked that Singh had probably accidentally told the truth, while others praised her for her “bravery”.

It was also noteworthy that Vijaita Singh has blocked The Commune, a digital media outlet that reported on the exchange, preventing her from seeing their coverage on X.

The Hindu & Chinese Propaganda

It is noteworthy that over the years, The Hindu has drawn sustained criticism for functioning as a de facto mouthpiece of the Communist Party and a consistent amplifier of Chinese state narratives. Its editorial choices frequently echo Beijing’s geopolitical messaging while undermining India’s sovereignty, military, and foreign policy.

From publishing distorted maps of India and false defence reports to glorifying the Chinese Communist Party’s centenary and running paid Chinese advertorials, the newspaper has repeatedly aligned with China’s interests. Its coverage of the Galwan clash, BRI projects, and LAC tensions routinely foregrounded Beijing’s perspective while sidelining India’s.

By normalizing Chinese propaganda, publishing sympathetic pieces on the CPC’s “achievements,” and hosting the Chinese Ambassador at its Chennai office, The Hindu has positioned itself less as an independent Indian publication and more as a reliable amplifier of left-wing and Chinese state viewpoints.

The Vijay Factor: Could A Solo Run Reshape Results?

Honest Review of Vijay's TVK: A Glossier ADMK With DMK Roots - Which Party Should Worry More? tamil nadu

Tamil Nadu’s political landscape is abuzz with speculation over actor Vijay’s much-awaited political entry. The question on everyone’s mind is not just whether he will contest, but how much impact he will have if he chooses to go solo. Vijay’s entry, even before the formal launch of his party, has triggered calculations in every political camp, with both the DMK and AIADMK watching closely.

If Vijay’s new party manages to secure between 2% and 6% of votes, it will primarily split the opposition’s vote base. Such a scenario would automatically strengthen the DMK alliance, giving it a comfortable advantage in most constituencies. Particularly in urban regions, where Vijay’s fan base is strongest, the diverted votes would prevent the AIADMK from mounting a strong challenge. For the DMK, this would translate into a near-sweep, ensuring that its current political dominance continues.

However, if Vijay’s support rises to 6% to 8%, the equation could shift. This range would make the contests tighter across the state. Vijay is likely to find resonance among urban and young voters who are seeking an alternative to traditional parties. Yet, the DMK’s deep organizational strength, particularly in rural Tamil Nadu, could still give it a narrow edge. In this case, the state could witness intense multi-cornered contests, but the ruling DMK might retain a slight upper hand overall.

The game truly changes if Vijay touches 8% to 10% of the vote share. At that point, the balance could tilt towards the AIADMK. Such a performance by Vijay’s party would mean a significant vote split in DMK strongholds, especially in urban belts and among first-time voters. If the AIADMK alliance holds its traditional base intact, it could turn these divisions to its advantage, leading to a neck-and-neck fight with the DMK and possibly gaining a slight lead.

But if Vijay manages to capture over 10% of the total votes, the impact would be seismic. His appeal among youth and neutral voters would directly cut into DMK’s base, making it a direct threat to the ruling party. In that case, the AIADMK would be the biggest beneficiary and could even secure a decisive victory.

Ultimately, Vijay’s political debut is not a small experiment. Every single percentage of vote he earns has the power to reshape Tamil Nadu’s political future. As the 2026 elections approach, the real question remains – how big will Vijay’s impact be?

Radical Islamo-Leftist New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani Had Showed Middle Finger To Columbus Who Found America And Called For Razing Down His Statue

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist and member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), has been elected mayor of New York City, becoming the first Muslim, first Indian-origin, and first African-born leader of America’s largest city.

The 34-year-old Mamdani defeated Republican Curtis Sliwa by a wide margin, capping a dramatic rise for the former state legislator from Queens. His campaign centred on taxing the rich, mandating halal food in schools, making public transport free to ‘reduce crime’ seemed to resonate strongly with the ‘community’ in NYC. The election saw the city’s highest turnout in more than five decades, with over two million ballots cast, according to the New York City Board of Elections. This huge turnout seems to be the outcome of CAIR leader Nihad Awad’s call to come out in large numbers to vote and support their candidate during elections.

Just as the news broke, netizens shared old posts of Mamdani’s on social media platform X that were not only controversial but also insulting to the country he lives in and is a citizen of.

Social media posts showed him in June 2020 giving a middle finger to a Christopher Columbus statue in Astoria and calling for its removal. The posts, when they went viral in July 2025, drew criticism from Italian-American groups, including the Columbus Heritage Coalition, with president Angelo Vivolo saying the remarks were disrespectful to the community and pledging not to support Mamdani.

Italian-American leaders, who make up roughly eight percent of New York City’s population, expressed concern over Mamdani’s ability to represent all communities. Joseph Scelsa, founder and president of the Italian American Museum, emphasized Columbus’s historical significance to Italian Americans.

Let us not forget: A radical faction within the DSA group, the DSA Liberation Caucus, recently came under national scrutiny after joining a campaign to free Elias Rodriguez – the man accused of murdering two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C., in what federal authorities described as a terrorist attack.

Zohran Mamdani’s anti-Hindu and antisemitic history is known to all – He previously led demonstrations against the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, India, where protesters shouted anti-Hindu slurs — remarks he never publicly condemned. He has also been photographed alongside Khalistani separatists during rallies that critics described as hostile to Indian interests.

To secure all Hindu votes, Mamdani even did temple runs in Queens, where he spoke about ‘pluralism and inclusivity’. However, opponents accused him of hypocrisy, citing his earlier participation in protests that vilified Hindu symbols and practices.

Mamdani has also been criticized for his refusal to condemn the slogan “globalize the intifada,” which appeared at several rallies he attended. His campaign reportedly received financial backing from groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been accused of past links to extremist funding networks.

Zohran Mamdani’s campaign was supported by organizations including the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) and Hindus for Human Rights (HfHR), both accused by analysts of ties to Pakistan-backed lobbying efforts and banned extremist movements such as Jamaat-e-Islami. Mamdani has not addressed these allegations directly but has emphasized his commitment to representing all communities in New York.

From glorifying Hamas and denigrating India to pushing anti-Israel resolutions, Zohran Mamdani embodies the dangerous nexus of left-wing extremism and Islamist propaganda—heavily bankrolled by global “philanthropic” networks.

The son of filmmaker Mira Nair and Ugandan academic Mahmood Mamdani, Zohran has long leveraged his privileged background to push divisive identity politics under the garb of “solidarity.”

Mahmood Mamdani, a professor at Columbia University argued for a controversial reframing of suicide bombers, stating they should be seen as soldiers rather than barbarians in the aftermath of the 9/11 Twin Tower terror attack. Mamdani even appeared to evade a question about Sharia law during a public interaction.

His record in the New York State Assembly and beyond exposes a pattern—relentless attacks on India, Hindus, and Israel, echoing talking points crafted by global left-Islamist lobbies.

Mamdani has received significant backing from advocacy groups linked to Islamist organizations and pro-Hamas outfits.

A groundbreaking Fox News investigation by Asra Nomani, in collaboration with the Daniel Pearl Project, has shed light on the sprawling coalition and funding behind Zohran Mamdani’s campaign to become New York City’s next mayor.

Groups such as ICNA, prohibited in India and Russia for their ties to terrorist organizations, and CAIR, previously named in terrorism financing investigations, have been integral parts of the campaign’s network. Donations from the Unity & Justice Fund and coordinated actions by members of Jamaat-e-Islami and other global Muslim entities underscore the campaign’s far-reaching terror connections.

The Council on American‑Islamic Relations (CAIR) and its super-PAC arm Unity & Justice Fund are reported to have funneled substantial funds into a PAC supporting Mamdani’s campaign. One report cites a $25,000 gift on May 30 and a further $75,000 on June 16, 2025. Another source places the figure at about $100,000 in total. In addition, the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action (USCPR Action) publicly endorsed his campaign in September 2025 — their first-ever candidate endorsement.

In 2023, the New York State Assembly passed a controversial bill aimed at stopping tax-exempt donations from state-registered charities that funded Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank – activities widely regarded as violations of international law.

The legislation, titled “Not on Our Dime!: Ending New York Funding of Israeli Settler Violence Act,” was introduced by the then-Assembly member Zohran Mamdani in May 2023. It sought to prohibit not-for-profit corporations registered in New York from using charitable funds to support organisations linked to Israeli settlement expansion or violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories.

Mahmood Mamdani, a professor at Columbia University and father of New York mayoral candidate and Islamist terror supporter Zohran Mamdani, argued for a controversial reframing of suicide bombers, stating they should be seen as soldiers rather than barbarians in the aftermath of the 9/11 Twin Tower terror attack. Mamdani even appeared to evade a question about Sharia law during a public interaction.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the organization backing mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani, is facing a severe public condemnation just as the NYC mayoral polls come closer and the information that a radical faction within its ranks openly praised and launched a campaign to free Elias Rodriguez, the man accused of murdering two Israeli embassy staffers in a terror attack in Washington, D.C.

Dirty Dravidian Model: Madurai Is The Dirtiest City In India According To Swachh Survekshan, Chennai Third Dirtiest

Dirty Dravidian Model: Madurai Is The Dirtiest City In India According To Swachh Survekshan, Chennai Ranks Third

Madurai has once again drawn public attention for all the wrong reasons, emerging as the dirtiest city in India in the recently released Swachh Survekshan 2025 rankings. Chennai, another major Tamil Nadu city, secured the third spot among the country’s least clean urban centres.

The Swachh Survekshan survey, conducted annually under the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission, evaluates cities on sanitation, waste management, and overall cleanliness. While some smaller towns have outperformed India’s biggest metros, cities like Madurai, Chennai, Ludhiana, Ranchi, and Bengaluru continue to struggle with garbage disposal, clogged drains, and poor civic upkeep.

According to the report, Madurai scored only 4,823 out of 12,500 marks in the category of cities with over one million residents, placing it at the bottom among 40 cities. Key problem areas included waste processing (4%), public toilet cleanliness (3%), door-to-door waste collection (37%), source segregation (26%), and remediation of dumpsites (25%).

Despite these low scores, city officials defended their initiatives. “Madurai generates around 850-900 tonnes of waste daily, nearly 60% of which is wet waste. We have activated 30 micro compost centres, and the remaining waste is being processed through biomining at Vellakkal dumping yard, where a biogas plant is under construction,” said a senior corporation official.

The civic body also highlighted efforts to maintain public toilets, claiming full ODF++ certification and regular inspections at bus stands and other public facilities. AI-powered cameras have been installed at key points to prevent open dumping, while festival cleaning drives and desilting operations have been expedited this year.

Residents, however, remain sceptical. Many blame the absence of an elected Mayor and zonal chairpersons for delayed civic improvements. “In areas like K K Nagar, waste piles up due to fewer bins, attracting stray animals. The corporation should increase collection frequency,” said local resident M. Ashok Kumar to The New Indian Express.

Other major cities in the dirtiest list include Ludhiana (second), Chennai (third), Ranchi (fourth), Bengaluru (fifth), Dhanbad (sixth), Faridabad (seventh), Greater Mumbai (eighth), Srinagar (ninth), and Delhi (tenth).

Meanwhile, cities such as Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Lucknow, Raipur, and Jabalpur were recognised among the cleanest urban centres, with metros like Indore, Surat, and Navi Mumbai earning spots in the new “Super Swachh League” for their sustained commitment to urban cleanliness.

The Swachh Survekshan 2025 rankings underline the ongoing challenge for India’s largest cities: unplanned expansion, inefficient waste disposal, and civic negligence continue to impede the vision of clean, sustainable urban spaces. Madurai’s municipal authorities have pledged to improve waste management and sanitation, aiming for a better ranking in the 2026 survey.
