Puthiya Thalaimurai And Other Dravidianist Media Journo Peddle Rhetoric Against Israel Even As Hamas Unleashes Barbarity

On the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, Islamic terrorists belonging to Hamas infiltrated Israel from Gaza and launched a massive rocket attack killing over 250 Israelis with thousands wounded. Many Israelis have also been taken as hostages by the Islamic terrorists of Hamas.

The unprecedented surprise attack by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip started at around  6:30 AM at a time when the Israelis celebrated the last day of the weeklong Sukkot festival.

Disturbing videos have emerged on social media, showing Hamas terrorists kidnapping Israelis and displaying them on Gaza’s streets. One particularly disturbing video depicted the body of a deceased woman, stripped down to her undergarments, being paraded on a vehicle amid chants of “Allah hu Akbar.” In response, the Israeli government initiated Operation Swords of Iron, emphasizing that the perpetrators would face severe consequences.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi unequivocally condemned these acts of terror against Israel. He expressed his solidarity with Israel, offering his thoughts and prayers for the innocent victims of the Hamas terrorist attack.

Other world powers including the UK, USA, France have condemned the terrorist attacks on Israel by Hamas terrorists.

Amid all of this, the Dravidianist media in Tamil Nadu have been peddling anti-Israel rhetoric saying that the attack has been response to the “oppressive” Israeli occupation.

Bernard D’ Sami, a professor of the Loyola College, Chennai told on air in Puthiya Thalaimurai “The reason for the ‘tensions’ is people who go from the Gaza Strip to work in Israel.. the gates were closed and 243 people were barred from working there. They were put to so much distress. If we look at it today, in this war, we’ve to see on whose side Iran will stand, on whose side Hezbollah will stand.

The Puthiya Thalaimurai anchor Thamizhiniyan interjects and says “You’re raising the question of who will stand on which side in this war. You also say that abundant excesses have been committed by Israel continuously over the years. Thank you for your views Mr. Bernard D’ Sami.

Despite ample video and photographic evidence of the barbarity unleashed by Hamas terrorists, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist goes on to say “Though it is being said that this attack was done by the Hamas, Israel has been continuously for years committing excesses against Palestinians. This is what people who spoke said before.

He also peddled borderline anti-Semitism saying that the attack on Israel has gained worldwide traction because Israelis (Jews) exist as power centres in many countries.

Even recently, Ukraine-Russia war is happening. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Jew. Many countries of the world support him.“, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist said.

Thamizhiniyan also said that the India-Israel relationship has grown stronger in the recent past. “During the Congress period, until 2014, India had taken a stance in favour of Palestine. It began changing slightly during the Manmohan Singh period. After Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, Israel-India relationship is becoming stronger. Defence-related technology, attempts to buy defence equipments and many such contracts, attempts to bring Israel technology to India, all these are being done by India continuously. Through several think-tank, attempts to create a pro-Israeli stance in India can be seen.“, the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist said.

India should stand with people of Palestine who have been continuously oppressed. India has always had the police of standing against wherever mistakes are being done, wherever there are affected people.” the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist further said.

Another Dravidianist journalist who is known for his pro-DMK stance went on to glorify the horrific terror attack by Hamas terrorists saying “Hamas has destroyed the entire image of Israel… in one fell swoop it has shaken Israel… what will happen next…”

Testimony To Dravidian Model Of Tamil Development? DMK Min Makes Spelling Mistake On A Simple Tamil Word At Govt Primary School

DMK Minister Tha Mo Anbarasan, who handles the portfolio of Mico, Small & Medium Enterprises was caught making a spelling mistake over a simple Tamil word.

The DMK Minister was in Mambakkam village of Chengalpattu district where he inaugurated a digital classroom at the Mambakkam Panchayat Union Primary School.

During the inauguration, the DMK minister tried to write the word Vaazhthhugal (வாழ்த்துகள்) which means “congratulations” or “greetings”, on the digital smart board.

However, instead of writing it as வாழ்த்துகள், the DMK Minister made a spelling error and instead wrote வாழ்துகள் leaving the த் in between, going by the sound of every day usage of the word.

Later, the DMK Minister was found writing the correct spelling.

The DMK which often cries foul making baseless allegations of ‘Hindi imposition’, finds itself at an embarrassing situation where even a sitting Minister of the party is unable to spell a simple Tamil word.

Many on social media trolled the DMK Minister asking if this is the ‘Dravidian Model’ of Tamil development.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, the same DMK Minister had addressed BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai in a derogatory manner, referring to him as a ‘dog’.

I.N.D.I. Ally VCK Comes Out In Support Of Palestine As Hamas Carries Out Deadly Terror Attacks Against Israel

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), which is part of the political kichdi named I.N.D.I Alliance has blatantly come out in support of Palestine even as Islamist terror group Hamas carries out deadly terror attacks against Jews in Israel.

Aloor Sha Navas, who is an MLA from the Nagapattinam constituency and a spokesperson of the VCK said that India which has a history of not recognizing Israel as a country for a long time should stand with Palestine.

“When Israel was formed by usurping Palestine, it was not even recognized as a country and did not even share diplomatic ties. Such is the history of India. By that convention, #IndiaStandsWithPalestine is only right. Let us reject the BJP which stands with Israel.”, the I.N.D.I. Ally MLA said.

It is important to note that India formally recognized Israel as a country on 17 September 1950 and full diplomatic ties were established in 1992, and during both these instance it was the Congress which was ruling India.

However, for a long time India’s position on Israel was restricted due to Congress’ votebank politics. Then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi even went to the extent of recognizing the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people in 1974.  India was the first non-Arab state to do so. The PLO militant wings openly engaged in acts of violence against Israeli civilians, both within Israel and outside of Israel and was even designated as a terror group by the USA.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who in 2012 said that support for the Palestinian cause has been a cornerstone of India’s foreign policy and that India supports the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve a sovereign, independent, viable and united state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side and at peace with Israel. This position taken by Manmohan Singh was seen as an attempt to appease its Muslim votebank in India in the run up to 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

It was only after 2014 that India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi de-hyphenated its relationship with Israel and Palestine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. Since then, the two countries have become close and have become partners in a wide range of field from agriculture to defence.

Israel Launches Operation “Swords of Iron” As Hamas Terrorists Unleash Barbarity

On the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, Hamas Islamic terrorists infiltrated Israel from Gaza and launched a massive rocket attack. The unprecedented surprise attack by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip started at around  6:30 a.m at a time when the Israelis celebrated the last day of the weeklong Sukkot festival.

Israel Defense Forces sent out a post from its official X handle where it let the world know that it has initiated operation “Swords of Iron” to protect its civilians from Hamas terrorists. The IDF has said Hamas has made a ‘grave mistake’ and would have to pay a heavy price for it.

As per the latest reports, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have mobilized soldiers and has called on reservists as it declares a “state of war alert.” So far according to the terror group Hamas, it has fired 5,000 rockets against Israel in what it has called ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’ that has a very powerful Islamic meaning for Muslims. In a surprise attack, an unknown number of terrorists from Gaza have also entered Israeli territory. The IDF has asked Israelis who live near Gaza to stay in their homes.

In a statement released by the IDF, it read, “There has been widespread rocket fire into Israeli territory from Gaza, and terrorists have infiltrated Israeli territory through various entry points. Residents in the south and centre of the country are required to be in close proximity to protected areas, and those in the Gaza periphery should remain within a secure space,”.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the country is “at war” and “Citizens of Israel, we are at war — not in an operation, not in rounds — at war,” Netanyahu said in a video message.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, “Hamas has made a grave mistake this morning and launched a war against the State of Israel. IDF troops are fighting against the enemy at every location. I call on all of Israel’s citizens to follow security instructions. The State of Israel will win this war.”

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces are carrying out retaliatory airstrikes in the Gaza Strip just hours after Hamas launched a surprise attack, the Israeli daily reported. IDF Chief of Staff, Lt Gen Herzi Halevi in a statement has said, he is holding an assessment and approving plans of action, the daily added in its report.

As per the Israeli military, Hamas entered Israel’s territory Militants from Gaza by land, by sea, and by air using paragliders. The using of the paragliders will now be a cause of concern for many nations including India as it is a bold and innovative method of infiltration to carry out terror attacks.

According to the Times of Israel, Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched massive rocket barrages on Saturday morning, and dozens of gunmen infiltrated the border town of Sderot and other communities, clashing with Israel Defense Force troops. At least six people have been reportedly killed and nearly 300 wounded, and casualties were reported from Sderot.

Sadly, Ofir Libstein, the mayor of Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council, was killed in the terror attack by the Palestinian Islamist terror group Hamas, the Times of Israel reported. The mayor’s office in a statement said that the mayor was killed when he went to defend a town during a “terrorist attack“.

Mohammad Deif, the elusive leader of the Hamas military issued a statement in which he said “The ongoing attacks are in retaliation for Israel’s “desecration” of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem,”.

Deif claimed that over 5,000 missiles were fired and “Today, the people are bringing back the revolution and reviving the March of Return,” he said. He also asked Arab Muslim citizens of Israel representing 21% of the country’s population. He asked Arabs in Jerusalem and inside Israel, in the Negev, the Galilee, and northern Israel to “set the earth on fire under the feet of the occupiers.”

The Yom Kippur War, also known as the October War or the 1973 Arab-Israeli War, was a major conflict that took place between Israel and a coalition of Arab states on 6 October 1973 including Egypt and Syria on the other, with support from other Arab nations, including Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

It must be noted that Jews and Muslims follow the lunar calendar which is why events like Yom Kippur or Eid holidays are not celebrated on the same date every year. In 2023, Yom Kippur began at sundown on September 24 and ended on September 25.

About Hamas

Hamas, short for the Islamic Resistance Movement, is a Palestinian political that has been designated as a terrorist organization by multiple countries, including Israel, the United States, the European Union, and others. Hamas was founded in 1987 during the First Intifada (Palestinian uprising) against Israeli occupation and has since carried out many acts of terror against the Jewish State of Israel.

Hamas was founded with the goal of establishing an Islamic state in historic Palestine and opposing the Israeli Zionist occupation. In 2006, Hamas won Palestinian legislative elections and subsequently took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, leading to a split between Gaza, governed by Hamas, and the West Bank, governed by the Palestinian Authority (led by Fatah) and Mahmoud Abbas as its President.

The armed wing of Hamas is known as the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which is responsible for carrying out terror activities, including rocket attacks on Israel and engaging in armed conflicts. Over the years, Hamas has developed several sophisticated tactics to carry out its attacks. But suicide bombings, rocket attacks, and tunneling, to target Israeli civilians and military personnel remains its favorite.

Hamas started out as a terror organization but by joining politics, it remains a complex and divisive actor in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and is a huge roadblock in the peace process, and its latest actions will have a significant impact on the region’s stability and prospects for peace.

TIME Exalts Fake News Peddling YouTuber Dhruv Rathee As ‘Next Generation Leader’

Popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has been featured on the list of TIME Magazine‘s ‘next generation leaders 2023’. Rathee has been named for his “fact-checking” work and presenting “educational content” on various topics through his channel, which has over 13 million subscribers and features more than 500 videos.

Using social media platform X to celebrate the news on Friday, Rathee posted, “TIME Magazine’s Next Generation Leaders 2023. I’m honoured to be included in this prestigious list and proud to represent India internationally. Thank you.

It is noteworthy to mention that TIMES had negatively insinuated Hindu as “groups” in the Nuh violence while underplaying the role of Muslim mobs as “Muslim residents” who were instrumental in instigating the violence.

https://twitter.com/vijaygajera/status/1710269643515179488?t=BKH6f8Fx-iasvkBkqxKo7A&s=08

Rathee is known as one of the young critics of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government. His content often includes critiques of government policies, political parties, and public figures. He has been hailed as the next generation of progressive and left-leaning thinkers and due to his popularity, he is now a darling of the I.N.D.I Alliance because he has been critical of the BJP’s government actions and policies in India.

Dhruv Rathee gained a lot of prominence when he created several videos discussing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which Congress and other so-called secular parties and several Muslim organizations called a controversial piece of legislation.

The CAA was passed in December 2019 and grants a path to Indian citizenship for religious minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians) from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who came to India before December 31, 2014. However, it does not include Muslims.

Rathee in his YouTube channel criticized the law, as he assumed that it had a potential impact on India’s secular principles and the rights of Muslims. He also talked about his perspectives on the protests that took place across India in response to the CAA and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), which is seen by many as being closely linked to the CAA.

This is where his ideology blinded his judgment and he started calling the CAA as anti-Muslim. But in reality, CAA was enacted as a law intended to protect persecuted religious minorities in neighboring countries, while critics, like Rathee, argue that it discriminates against Muslims and goes against India’s secular and inclusive principles.

A vlogger with a pro-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stance, he released an analysis of the Delhi Riots on March 3, 2020, via a YouTube video. Nonetheless, Rathee’s analysis relies on sources that have faced public criticism for their inaccurate reporting, and he also omits significant details about the riots in his assessment.

He had also peddled fake news about the BJP during the Bengal elections saying that only the BJP was campaigning while giving clean chit to TMC, Congress and Left parties.

As a young person who is able to articulate in front of a camera, Dhruv Rathee soon gained significant followers on YouTube and now he is considered an important source of knowledge and information. Now since he has been recognised by Time Magazine, Rathee will now gain international recognition and become the darling of the woke brigade.

Al Jazeera Peddles Half-Truths About “Hindu Activists Thrashing Teacher For Depicting Muslim Prayers At Hindu-Majority School”

Al Jazeera which is a news organization based in Qatar that has a global presence and is known for its coverage of international and Middle Eastern news has twisted facts again. As per Al Jazeera, Muslims in a Hindu-majority school in Gujarat were beaten by “Hindu activists for arranging a student performance on religious tolerance that depicted Muslim prayers at a Hindu-majority school”.

The video alleges that the teacher was attacked in the school he works in for organizing a show on “religious tolerance” that depicted “Muslim prayers” in which students who were mostly Hindu asked to sing and act out Muslim prayers.

Al Jazeera said that the school principal had called it at an act to welcome a Muslim student who was recently admitted to the school.

“The school issued an apology and deleted the video from its page”, Al Jazeera said.

However, what they conveniently omitted to state was that four Hindu students were forced to perform Namaz without consent from their parents, according to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists.

The activists claimed that the teacher had coerced Hindu students into participating in a Namaz prayer during an event on September 29.

The private school in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, later issued an apology following the incident. The principal of Kalorex Future School in Ghatlodia, Niraliben Dagli, confirmed that the school had indeed issued an apology letter in response to the incident. This letter was sent to the groups responsible for organizing the protest against the school and its teacher.

In a video of the protest, a group of individuals can be seen physically assaulting the school’s music teacher, Maulik Pathak, while police personnel attempted to protect him. Eventually, Pathak was safely escorted away by his colleagues and the police.

Umang Mojidra, the secretary of ABVP’s Ahmedabad city unit, explained that on September 29, the school hosted an event that was live-streamed on their Facebook page, as is common for their events. During this event, five Hindu students from the second grade, approximately 7 years old, were shown participating in Namaz and extending Eid greetings to their peers. It is important to note that both the teacher and the students involved were Hindus. According to Mojidra, the teacher and the school allegedly compelled the students to take part in the Namaz, which prompted their protest.

Mojidra clarified that their intention was not to harm the teacher, but some of the protestors may have unintentionally roughed him up. The protesters demanded the resignation of the school principal and were taken to the police station by the authorities, only to be released shortly afterward.

Principal Niraliben Dagli explained that one of the students, who happened to be Muslim, initiated the Namaz and was joined by four Hindu students, all with their parents’ consent. She emphasized that no one had raised any objections at the time. Pathak, the music teacher, may have been targeted because he was seen playing the piano in the background of the video. The Namaz event lasted for a brief one and a half minutes.

Dagli stressed that while the event was a mock demonstration, and no one was forced to participate, the school did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. The school’s intention behind holding the event on September 29 was solely to educate students about various festivals.

In their apology letter to the protesters, the school acknowledged that a public demonstration of Namaz had taken place during the September 29 function. The letter stated that Hindu organizations and parents had raised concerns, leading to discussions with the school authorities involving groups such as the International Hindu Parishad, Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Through these discussions, the school authorities recognized the seriousness of the situation and admitted their mistake.

Meanwhile, left-liberal fact-checker Mohammad Zubair jumped into the fray and said, “FAKE NEWS! Stop Justifying Mob violence! Four Hindu students were NOT forced to perform Namaz. In fact, the Hindu students didn’t perform Namaz. It was the Muslim student who enacted that. The other 4 Hindu students later joined him in singing “Lab pe aati hai dua”.

“What PM Modi Said Is 280,000% True, Hindu Temples In TN Are Being Looted”: Ex Idol Wing IG Ponn Manickavel Slams CM Stalin For “Dishonesty”

Former Inspector General of the Idol Wing of Tamil Nadu Police, Pon Manickavel came in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comments about Tamil Nadu temples being looted by the state government.

Prime Minister Modi accused the Tamil Nadu State Government of encroaching temples and swindling temple wealth while speaking at a rally in Telangana’s Nizamabad.

In south of India, particularly in Tamil Nadu, the state government is claiming ownership of temples. The state government has grabbed these temples. The wealth of the temples are being swindled through conspiracy. The temples are being looted. The temples are being captured. But they do not lay their hands on places of worship of minorities. They won’t bring them under the policies of the government.“, PM Modi said.

In response to this, CM Stalin categorically denied the allegations and said that what the Prime Minister said was a lie adding that his government had reclaimed temple land worth ₹ 3,700 crore rupees in the two years since the DMK came to power.

Speaking to reporters at Tirupur after visiting the Sukreeswarar Temple, Pon Manickavel said “The current Chief Minister (MK Stalin), if he knows the word ‘Nermai’, in Tamil we call ‘Ne’,’R’,’Mai’, and in English it means ‘honest’. His statement seems to be disingenuous. Disingenuous means dishonest. The reason is, you take wealth from Saiva, Vaishnava and other Hindu temples every time for public welfare. I am not asking you to take the wealth from other institutions (minority places of worship). Why aren’t you taking? This is the question which Prime Minister of India Modi, when speaking in a neighboring state politically, he makes this statement. Is it true or false? Is it correct or wrong? One can only give percentage out of 100. I am speaking to you after getting permission from my people. Not 100% but what he (PM Modi) said is 280,000% truth! Are temples being looted? Yes, it is true that temples are being looted!

He said that the temples are being brought under the state’s control by force and added that the Hindu community is voiceless. He also said that 17 Jain temples have also been taken.

What injustice is this? An electricity bill for these temples and a different electricity charge for those (minority places of worship). For these (Hindu temples) it is ₹7.5 per unit and for them (minority places of worship) ₹1.5 per unit. Isn’t this injustice? Even a small innocent child would instantly call this injustice. There is no difference of opinion. They don’t speak about all this and when such a time comes, they burst a cracker. Cracker in the sense, they do something which gives rise to a big controversy pan-India and go (referring to Sanatana Dharma controversy).“, he said.

He also took jibes at PK Sekar Babu, the DMK Minister in-charge of Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department, saying that he is doing drama about retrieving 5000 acres of temple land.

Pon Manickavel said that over 4.78 lakh acres of temple lands have been encroached and what the HR&CE Minister claims to have retrieved is meagre adding that there are over 22,600 buildings and vacant sites around 33,683 grounds belonging to temples.

In 8 months, the income from all these properties is around ₹151 crores. ₹151 crores income they’ve taken in just 8 months! It is to be welomed. Alright. But for how much you took how much? They don’t say how much of temples lands have been encroached. Suppose you ask a headmaster, for how many marks did the student score and get gold medal, and he refuses to say, you tell me if he is honest or dishonest.“, he said.

You say you’ve retrieved 5000 acres of temple land. I don’t believe it but I will choose to believe what you say is true. But how many acres are you supposed to retrieve? In the legislature, they took signature from Sekar Babu showing the English document. I don’t know if he knows English or not. I am not demeaning him. Don’t take it wrongly. He is a big guy! He is a spiritual man. I bow to him. That is different. I am criticizing to encourage him not to pull him down. I am only urging him to question the Chief Minister.“, the former Idol Wing chief said.

He also pointed out how the Tamil Nilam portal of the Revenue Department shows only 340,000 acres as temple lands and said that if one were to subtract HR&CE Department’s figure of 478,000 acres and Revenue Department’s 340,000, over 135,000 acres have vanished.

They’ve swallowed these many acres of temple land. We’ve to call them in singular only as they’ve stolen temple property. I am not able to give them respect. It is adharmam to give them respect. They’ve eaten it! Who ate? How did they eat? For many years, they’ve been eating? If out of 135,000 acres you retrieve 5000 acres, it comes to around 3.7% not even 4%. For him you are all giving a medal saying he has retrieved 5000 acres and he is hailed as a spiritual politician! Is it fair to dupe poor people who voted for you by sitting in such high position? Chief Minister is a big position and the voters are poor people. We, Sivanadiyars are poorer than them.“, he said.

He also slammed Chief Minister MK Stalin saying “I am not getting into politics but a Chief Minister is a public servant. He is taking a salary of more than ₹2 lakh. In that money, there is one paisa from you, 2 paisas from her and half a paisa from me. So, I have every right to question him. I have all rights to question Mr. Stalin. Everybody should ask. You answer! Isn’t this 5000 acre retrieval a lie? This is disingenuous. It may seem good on the outset but there will be dishonesty at the behind.

Maternity Hospital Built By Dharmapuram Adheenam At Risk Of Being Turned Into A Dumpyard By DMK Govt, Pontiff Announces Fast Unto Death If Done

In Mayiladuthurai, there existed a free maternity hospital on 2 acres of land owned by Hindu Saivite Mutt Dharmapuram Atheenam.

This hospital was built in 1943 by the 24th pontiff of Dharampuram Aadheenam, Srilasri Shanmukha Desika Paramacharya Swamigal, in memory of his mother who died in childbirth. The then British Governor Arthur Oswald James Hope participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony. After eight years of construction, the then Chief Minister of Madras Presidency, Kumaraswamy Raja inaugurated the hospital in 1951.

The hospital spread over 2 acres of land of Dharmapuram Adheenam in the heart of the city catered to the surrounding rural population. Over the years, the hospital run by the Saivite Hindu Mutt provided free medical treatment to numerous individuals. However, it was later handed over to the municipal administration.

There are claims that the hospital, which was operating smoothly up until five years ago, has deteriorated into a dumping ground for trash due to the municipality’s neglect in maintenance.

In October 2019, the municipal administration established a micro-composting centre to sort the garbage despite heavy opposition from public. At present, the micro-composting centre is also non-functional, and the area has turned filthy due to the accumulation of garbage. It now faces the risk of being turned into a full-fledged dumpyard.

Coming to know of the pathetic plight of the hospital, the 27th pontiff of Dharmapuram Adheenam, Sri Masilamani Desiga Gnanasambanda Swamigal, had written a letter to the municipal administration and the Tamil Nadu government requesting that the land of the free hospital be handed over in Dharmapuram Adheenam.

However, there was no response from the government side. In the midst of this, news began circulating that the municipal administration is going to expand the garbage sorting area nearby and demolish the free hospital and turn it into a garbage dumpyard.

In light of this, the Dharmapuram Adheenam pontiff released a statement on social media in which he declared that he would go on a fast unto death if the hospital was razed down to convert into a dumpyard.

“The free maternity hospital was constructed in memory of his mother by the 24th pontiff of Dharumai Adheenam which launched by the then Governor. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Kumaraswamy Raja during the period of 25th pontiff of Dharumai Adheenam. A German doctor had treated many people for free for many years. When we wrote to the municipality for it to be maintained by the Adheenam itself, it came to be known that it was going to be demolished. If such an event occurs, we will begin a fast unto death to protect the hospital that was set up by our forefathers.”, the Dharumapuram Adheenam said in its statement.

“Women May Have Personal Freedom & Freedom To Dress How They Want, Not In Islam”, Says Kerala Samastha Leader Abdul Samad Pookkottur

In Kerala, Samastha leader Abdul Samad Pookkottur has said that no matter how much personal freedom is given to a woman by the constitution, if it is not in compliance with Islam, those women are Kafir.

Abdul Samad Pookkottur who was speaking at a press conference said “Women may have personal freedom and freedom of dress in the Constitution, but not in Islam”.

According to Samad, those who don’t wear Islamic dress are considered non-believers who are considered ‘kafir’ as per Islam.

He said “When you talk about mixed marriage, a person has the right to choose their partner. This is mentioned in the constitution but this is not possible in Islam. When I say that it is not possible in Islam, my religion has told me how I should choose my partner. Now the CPI-M secretary has said that anyone can wear any clothes. It is not like that in Islam. Anyone cannot wear the clothes they prefer to. When we say that the freedom to wear the clothes we want is a part of personal freedom, even if it is a part of our personal freedom, it will have to be within religious boundaries. If a person decides to walk half-naked, that is not a practice of Islam. But a person who does not accept Islam can be like that. Islam has told how a girl should dress up. She needn’t follow that if she doesn’t want to, but religious (Islamic) believer cannot do that. So a girl wearing Islamic clothes or not indulging in mixed marriage is not against the constitution.

It’s important to note that Islamic beliefs and practices can vary significantly among individuals and communities within the Muslim faith. The interpretation of Islamic dress codes, such as the hijab (headscarf) for women or specific clothing for men, can vary widely depending on cultural, regional, and personal factors. What one person or group considers a religious requirement, another may view as a matter of personal choice or cultural tradition.

In Islam, there is a general emphasis on modesty in dress for both men and women, and there are guidelines outlined in the Quran and Hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) that encourage modest clothing. However, the interpretation and strictness of these guidelines can vary.

It is not accurate or fair to label individuals who do not adhere to a particular dress code as “non-believers” (kafir). The term “kafir” is used in Islam to refer to those who consciously reject or deny the faith, and it is a complex theological concept with specific criteria. Not wearing Islamic dress does not automatically categorize someone as a non-believer.

Muslims have diverse beliefs and practices, and many factors, including cultural, social, and personal circumstances, influence how they choose to dress.

It’s essential to note that the relationship between the constitution and Islamic law can vary widely between countries and is often a subject of debate and discussion within those countries. The specific balance between the two can depend on historical, cultural, political, and legal factors.
