Students from Haryana government’s ‘Super 100’ program qualify for IIT-JEE

The Haryana government led by Manohar Khattar started the ‘Super 100’ programme in 2018 for meritorious students of state government schools to get admission in premier higher educational institutions of the country.

An official spokesperson of the School Education Department said that ‘Special Programme Super-100’ was started in 2018 under which centres were established in Rewari and Panchkula. The Super 100 programme provides students, mostly from the hinterlands, with free coaching for competitive exams for two years after clearing a written test for selection. This is followed by a two-year-long coaching in Panchkula and Rewari, for JEE and NEET. The students have to have scored a minimum of 80% in order to qualify.

23 students from this program have now qualified for IIT-JEE. Expressing his joy over the same, Shri Manohar Khattar took to Twitter to announce the same and wished all those who had qualified good luck. The tweet read, “Extremely happy that 23 Students of Haryana Super-100 Program have qualified for IIT by cracking the most prestigious engineering exam of India. Super-100 is an innovative initiative of Haryana Govt. for the students of Govt. schools of the State. I wish them the very best!“.

During the JEE-Main examination, 63 students qualified for the advance, while for the IIT, Delhi, 23 students have secured admission.
