A massive 25,000-seat worship centre has emerged on Chennai’s Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam corridor at Zamin Pallavaram, with the New Life Assembly of God (NLAG) now conducting regular multilingual services at the sprawling facility.
The Christian worship complex is capable of accommodating tens of thousands of people.

The new facility, located on the 200-foot Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam Road, represents a major expansion of the Chennai-based evangelical church’s physical infrastructure. NLAG’s official website lists the Zamin Pallavaram campus as an active centre, with Tamil, English, Hindi and Telugu services being conducted every Sunday.
Industry publication Worship AVL reported that the new sanctuary seats 25,000 worshippers and was built from the ground up both as a worship venue and an events space. The publication also reported that the facility opened at the end of 2025.
The scale of the project is underscored by the civil contractor involved. Ocean Lifespaces India described the New Life Worship Center as a 600,000 sq ft project with a 135-metre roof span. The company referred to the structure as Asia’s largest auditorium.
The facility is part of the expansion of New Life Assembly of God, an evangelical Pentecostal church founded in Chennai by Rev. D. Mohan in 1973.
The scale of the new centre is a striking reflection of the growth of the church over more than five decades.
NLAG began with seven members meeting in D. Mohan’s apartment, according to Worship AVL. The church subsequently expanded its Little Mount premises, introduced multiple services and eventually began searching for a larger facility as its congregation grew. The new Zamin Pallavaram sanctuary is the latest outcome of that expansion.
The church has also developed a wider network of campuses across Chennai, including Little Mount, Zamin Pallavaram, Kundrathur, Porur, OMR, GST, Madhavaram and other locations.
