Empowering India: A Call To Uphold A Bold And Daring Vision

The mission began in 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the helm of India’s governance, with a Sankalp to steer the nation towards progress and development. Modi 2.0 from 2019 to 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership has not just touched lives but illuminated the path toward a brighter future for every Indian. As we stand at the cusp of history, let us reflect on the monumental achievements that have reshaped our nation and renew our pledge to uphold his legacy.

Uniting For Economic Prosperity

Prime Minister Modi’s tenure saw the implementation of several landmark economic reforms aimed at bolstering India’s growth trajectory. The Goods and Services Tax (GST), introduced in 2017, was a paradigm shift in the country’s indirect tax structure, fostering the idea of a “One Nation, One Tax and One Market”. Additionally, initiatives like the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) enhanced the ease of doing business and strengthened the financial sector.

Under Modi’s leadership, India maintained its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies. Thanks to our Prime Minister, India remains “The Sole Bright Spot in an otherwise Gloomy Global Economy”. Policies focused on infrastructure development, investment promotion, and skill enhancement contributed to sustained GDP growth, despite global economic challenges.

Bedrock Of Development

Swachh Bharat: A Call To Civic Duty

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is not just a mission; it’s a testament to our collective determination to build a cleaner, healthier India. Under Modi’s leadership, millions of toilets have been built, and villages have been declared open defecation-free. But our work is far from over. Let us rally together to continue this crusade for cleanliness, for it is through our actions that we shape the future of our nation.

Affordable Housing: PM Awas Yojana

In recent years, India has faced a pressing issue due to population growth and rapid urbanization, leading to a shortage of affordable housing and the rise of informal settlements and slums. In response to this challenge, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) was introduced as a significant step towards addressing this housing crisis.

One notable aspect of PMAY is its positive impact on improving the living conditions of both rural and urban women. Central to this improvement is the provision of durable houses with essential amenities, contributing significantly to the overall well-being of beneficiaries. Additionally, the increased investments in the affordable housing sector can be directly linked to the success and effectiveness of the PMAY scheme.

Health & Dignity For Rural Women – PM Ujjwala Yojana (Free LPG Cooking Gas)

The emissions from cooking with wood can expose women to various health risks such as respiratory ailments and headaches. Recognizing these challenges faced by women, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was launched on 1 May 2016, with the aim of providing “clean fuel for a better life.” This initiative aims to transition rural India towards a smokeless environment by promoting the use of LPG, which will in turn reduce health issues, air pollution, and deforestation.

A significant number of households in India, approximately 41%, still rely on fossil fuels for cooking. The World Health Organization (WHO) highlights that the smoke produced by traditional cooking methods can be as harmful as smoking 400 cigarettes in an hour. The WHO’s second report on this matter reveals that over 5 lakh women lose their lives annually in India due to the use of fossil fuels for cooking.

The PMUY not only addresses health and environmental concerns but also plays a crucial role in empowering women. By providing access to clean cooking fuel, the scheme contributes to creating a healthier and more empowered society.

Clean Water Direct To All Households – Jal Jeevan Mission

The recent WHO report titled “Estimating Potential Health Gains from Increased Access to Safely Managed Drinking Water Services Following the Jal Jeevan Mission Initiative” underscores the transformative impact of the Jal Jeevan Mission. According to the report, the provision of safely managed drinking water services is projected to prevent nearly 4,00,000 deaths caused by diarrheal diseases across the country. Moreover, achieving universal coverage of safely managed drinking water in India is expected to avert approximately 14 million Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALYs), resulting in potential cost savings of up to ₹8.2 lakh Crore.

The burden of water collection for day-to-day use invariably falls heavily on rural women and adolescent girls, impacting their participation in income-generating activities, educational opportunities for girls, and overall health. The availability of assured drinking water within households not only enhances the health and socioeconomic status of rural populations, particularly women but also reduces the daily hardships faced by rural women and girls. The WHO report emphasizes that providing tap connections to every rural household would lead to significant time savings in water collection, estimated at 5.5 crore hours per day, especially benefiting women.

Fast Pace Of Complete Rural Electrification – A Game Changer

The rapid and comprehensive electrification of villages has been instrumental in driving agricultural productivity, especially through increased groundwater pumping and adoption of modern agricultural techniques, thereby contributing significantly to the nation’s food security. This initiative has also catalyzed the growth of small businesses and industries, generating employment opportunities and elevating income levels across rural areas.

Numerous studies highlight the substantial positive outcomes of village electrification on household income levels and the educational outcomes of school-age children. Access to electricity has been associated with a significant 34–48% rise in household incomes and an increase of 71–95 minutes in daily learning hours for children of school-going age.

Sweet Success Of DBT & JAM – A Pathbreaking Milestone In Social & Economic Inclusion

The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity has emerged as a transformative force, significantly impacting citizens even in the remotest corners of the country. A staggering number of over 50 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been opened in India to date, underscoring the monumental reach of this initiative.

Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the JAM vision embodies the ethos of “Just Achieving Maximum,” striving for maximum value for every rupee spent, maximum empowerment for the underprivileged, and maximum technology penetration among the masses. Notably, one out of every two accounts opened between March 2014 and March 2020 was a Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) account.

During the nationwide lockdown, more than 20 crore women holding PMJDY accounts received ex-gratia payments within just 10 days, showcasing the swift and impactful nature of the JAM trinity. PMJDY has not only integrated the unbanked population into the formal financial system but has also provided a channel for savings, remittances to families in rural areas, and liberation from exploitative money lenders.

The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, complemented by governance reforms, has facilitated the transfer of a staggering ₹5,91,214 crore in FY 2023-24 alone, spanning 314 schemes across 53 ministries and encompassing 722 crore transactions. These reforms have effectively eliminated duplicate and fake beneficiaries, curbing leakages and ensuring targeted delivery of benefits to genuine recipients. The estimated savings and benefits resulting from the implementation of JAM stand at an impressive ₹3,48,564.66 crore, a figure nearly equivalent to Tamil Nadu’s annual budgeted revenue expenditure, highlighting the fiscal prudence and efficacy of these initiatives.

Embracing Digital India: Empowering Every Indian

In the digital age, access to information is power, and Modi’s Digital India initiative has empowered millions with that power. From promoting digital literacy to expanding internet connectivity, his vision has bridged the digital divide, empowering every Indian to participate in the digital revolution. As we exercise our democratic right, let us not forget those who sniggered at this initiative when it was proposed. At the same time, let us stand in solidarity with Modi’s vision of a digitally inclusive India, where no one is left behind.

Healthcare For All: A Promise Of Hope

In the face of adversity, Modi’s government has stood as a beacon of hope, ensuring access to quality healthcare for all. Let us not forget that there was one man who stood between COVID-19 and the Common Man – it was our beloved Prime Minister Modi. Like Hanuman who delivered the Sanjeevani, it was our beloved PM who ensured that the Vaccine reached every one of us – Let us not forget – many of us owe our lives to this great man!

Initiatives such as the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the world’s largest health insurance scheme, expanded access to affordable healthcare for millions of Indians. Let us honor this commitment to our fellow citizens by reaffirming our support for a healthcare system that leaves no one behind, for health is the bedrock of a prosperous nation.

Preserving Our Past, Protecting Our Future & Protecting Our Planet

Let us not forget – the hero of the Ayodya’s Ram Mandir, the reviver of Kashi, and the architect of the Statues of Unity and Equality. Let us not forget the hero who embraces our past but has his eyes firmly fixed on the future

It is also our PM’s firm belief in the concept of “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam”. Modi’s emphasis on renewable energy and environmental conservation is a testament to his vision of sustainable development for the whole world. Let us rally behind his call to action, embracing renewable energy and preserving our natural heritage for future generations.

Building The Infrastructure Of Tomorrow

Infrastructure is the lifeblood of our nation, and Modi’s government has spared no effort in building the arteries of progress. From the Bharatmala Pariyojana to the Sagarmala Project, his vision has connected every corner of our nation, unlocking opportunities and driving growth. Let us pledge to support this vision, for it is through infrastructure that we lay the foundation for a prosperous future.

India As The “Vishwa-Guru”

“Modi is the Boss,” remarked the Hon’ble Australian PM. In an increasingly interconnected world, India’s role as a global leader has never been more vital. Modi’s proactive foreign policy approach has elevated India’s stature on the world stage, forging strategic partnerships and fostering regional stability. Let us stand united in support of his vision, for a stronger India is not just our aspiration but our duty to the world.

Embrace The Vision, Shape The Future

As we stand on the threshold of a new dawn, let us not waver in our resolve to uphold the vision of Narendra Bhai Modi. His leadership has not only transformed India but ignited the hopes and dreams of millions. Let us pledge to uphold his legacy, for in our hands lies the power to shape the future of our beloved nation.
