“Bro-Sis Having Sex Not New, Mother-Son, Father-Daughter Having Sex Is Personal Matter If There Is Mutual Consent”: Periyarist And Dravidianist Writer Says, Clarifies After Outrage

Dravidianists and so-called feminists who subscribe to the ideologies of EV Ramasamy Naicker (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers) are known for advocating illicit extramarital affairs and have limitless sexual lives for women to break from the bondage of family and patriarchy.

Afterall, EVR himself had married Maniyammai, a woman way younger than him, whom he considered as his own daughter. EVR had also said that married women go to temples during festivals to get groped by other women. Dravidainists like Suba Veerapandian get dismayed at the term “adultery” and advocate for the usage of “relations outside of marriage”.

So, sexual perversion is not new to Dravidianists who follow the path of EVR.

However, in a new low, a Periyarist woman named Kotravai has seemingly called for normalizing incestual relationships and sexual relationships between mother-son, father-daughter, etc., if there is “mutual consent”.

In an interview to Avalglitz (a sub-channel of Indiaglitz), the Periyarist woman says “Today, people are talking about incest relationships. People are questioning why it is being opposed. Their question is reasonable. Is it right or wrong? With respect to sexual relationships, I will never come to a position of whether it is right or wrong. But, how do we handle this? As a society, what is the answer that we have to this question? Because, brother and sister having sex is not something new. If you look at Greek history, in the ancient times, relationships were based on a clan or a racial community. After a point of time, we’re changing the arrangements. The society is refining itself.

She further goes on to say “The concept of chastity comes in relationships. It’s not a matter of whether it is right or wrong. Every sexual relationship, if it happens through mutual consent, nobody can call it wrong. Only when it is forced, it become a problem. So am I supporting sexual relations between father-daughter or mother-son? We can never go into that. It is their personal matter. Forcing oneself, raping, these are the problems for us. Beyond that whatever they discuss as “chastity” – whether he should be with her or she should be with him – it is not your problem. As long as they’re into it and they’ve given consent to each other, it is not our problem. If the society comes to this mindset, people can satisfy their needs with whomever they want. But if you keep suppressing it, it is getting exploded the other way.

After the clip went viral, she took to her social media to clarify that all she meant was not to “moral police” people for their sexual choices or orientation and that her intention was not to normalize incestual or taboo relationship.

In the above video she says “Who are we to comment based on morality? I am strong in that position of mine. For that, I am not saying that those relationships or right and it is neither my job to promote such relations. I am person who approaches scientifically and respects human rights. Society has many approaches and we shouldn’t judge people. We’ve to approach to psychologically, scientifically, biologically and physiologically. That’s my argument. Only if you watch the full video, you’ll understand the context. The second part of the interview is yet to come. Only if you watch it till end, you’ll know what I am saying.

ED Urges TN DGP To Act On Illegal Sand Mining Scam On Evidence Under PMLA Sec 66(2)

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has forwarded a report to the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police highlighting suspected collusion between state officials and private contractors who own excavators in an alleged sand mining scandal worth ₹4,730 crore. The agency also indicated that the state government did not take corrective action against the illegal activities, which purportedly led to significant financial losses for the government.

In a recent communication sent under Section 66(2) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the central agency detailed findings from a nine-month investigation. They estimated that approximately 23.64 lakh units (66.21 lakh cubic meters) of sand were unlawfully extracted between 2020 and 2023.

According to the ED, private contractors with excavator machinery conducted unauthorized sand mining in areas adjacent to those officially leased by the Public Works Department (PWD). At four specific quarries, these contractors mined sand at rates exceeding the permitted quantities by 10-30 times. Despite government permits covering only 4.9 hectares, mining activities were observed across 105 hectares, encompassing adjacent areas. Violations related to excavation depth were also documented.

The ED’s dossier further stated that while contracts were issued for approximately 190 hectares across 28 sites in five districts, the actual mined area amounted to an estimated 987 hectares. This calculation was based on a technical analysis conducted by Terraqua UAV Solutions, a firm associated with IIT-Kanpur, which utilized advanced technologies such as high-resolution satellite imagery, drone footage, LIDAR data, and bathymetric surveys to assess the extent of excessive mining.

Overall, the ED’s investigation underscores alleged irregularities in the sand mining sector in Tamil Nadu, implicating collusion between officials and contractors and significant financial repercussions for the state exchequer.

The ED has further substantiated instances of excessive mining by examining GPS coordinates from 273 excavator machines sold by M/s Kobelco and JCB to 16 customers in Tamil Nadu, which were utilized for sand mining activities. Analysis of geolocation data revealed that multiple machines were simultaneously extracting sand from a single site, contrary to Tamil Nadu government regulations which permit only two machines per quarry at any given time. Additionally, the ED scrutinized the operational hours, idling periods, and fuel consumption of these machines to bolster its findings. In its correspondence, the ED also provided a list of four companies that have been awarded contracts for sand quarrying and transportation to depots.

ED ‘s Focus on Tamil Nadu Sand Mining Scandal

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has accused contractors of accumulating substantial illicit wealth through illegal sand mining activities in Tamil Nadu. Alongside identifying customers who purchased excavator machines from two specific companies in the state, the ED asserted that apart from causing financial losses to the government, the rampant illegal mining has facilitated the accumulation of significant unlawful wealth by these contractors.

In connection with this case, the ED has provisionally attached assets valued at ₹130 crore, including 209 sand excavators valued at ₹128.34 crore. Additionally, deposits totaling ₹2.25 crore across 35 bank accounts linked to individuals such as Shanmugam Ramachandran, Karuppaiah Rethinam, Pannerselvam Karikalan, and others allegedly involved, have been seized.

Furthermore, on 25 April 2024, district collectors from Ariyalur, Karur, Thanjavur, Tiruchy, and Vellore appeared before the ED following summonses for questioning.

TN BJP Chief Annamalai Slams I.N.D.I Alliance Over SP MP’s Remarks To Remove Sengol From Parliament

Indian politicians adept at garnering attention through controversial statements have become proficient in capturing public and media interest through provocative means.

Recently, RK Chaudhary, an MP from the Samajwadi Party (SP), sparked controversy with his remarks on the installation of the Sengol in Parliament. He criticized its presence, labeling it a symbol of monarchy and contrasting it with the democratic symbol of the Constitution. Chaudhary emphasized that after independence, the country should be governed by constitutional principles rather than symbols associated with princely rule.

Speaking to the ANI news channel, sitting MP RK Chaudhary of Mohanlalganj, Uttar Pradesh, stated that, “The Constitution is the symbol of democracy. In its previous tenure, the BJP govt under the leadership of PM Modi installed ‘Sengol’ in Parliament. ‘Sengol’ means ‘Raj-Dand’. It also means ‘Raja ka Danda’. After ending the princely order, the country became independent. Will the country be run by ‘Raja ka danda’ or the Constitution? I demand that Sengol be removed from Parliament to save the Constitution.”

I.N.D.I Alliance Stand

With no surprise, the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav supported Chaudhary’s statement, suggesting it was a reminder to Prime Minister Modi about the significance of the Sengol, which Modi had acknowledged during its installation. “When the Sengol was installed, the PM bowed before it. He might have forgotten this while taking the oath. Maybe our MP’s remark was to remind him of that,” Yadav said.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore echoed Chaudhary’s demand for the removal of the Sengol, criticizing the government’s theatrical approach during the Parliament’s inauguration.

NDA Stand

In response, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla strongly condemned the SP’s stance, accusing them of disrespecting Indian and Tamil culture, and challenging the DMK to clarify their position. Poonawalla asserted, “The Samajwadi Party opposes Sengol in Parliament, calling it ‘Raja ka Dand’. If it was so, why did Jawaharlal Nehru accept it? This shows their mindset. They attack Ramcharitmanas and now Sengol. Does DMK support this insult? They must clarify.”

BJP MP Ravi Kishan criticized Chaudhary and the opposition, likening their objection to the Sengol to attempting to replace revered cultural symbols like lord Ram. Ravi Kishan stated, “They want to replace Lord Ram, the other day they compared their MP with Lord Ram”.

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi defended PM Modi’s actions, asserting their correctness in honoring the Sengol.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Chirag Paswan questioned the appropriateness of Chaudhary’s approach, urging a focus on development rather than divisive politics. Paswan emphasized the newfound recognition of the Sengol by the Prime Minister after decades of neglect.

Voice From Tamil Nadu

Representing Tamil Nadu’s culture, TN BJP President K. Annamalai criticized the statements made by the Samajwadi MP on his official X account. He pointed out that following the elections, the I.N.D.I. Alliance has resumed its criticism of the nation’s culture and traditions. Annamalai questioned whether this reflects the collective stance of the I.N.D.I. Alliance and called for the DMK to provide their views on the matter.

Annamalai wrote, “Now that the elections are over, the I.N.D.I. Alliance is back with their rants against the culture & customs of our Nation. Is this the collective stand of the I.N.D.I. Alliance & we look forward to DMK’s comments on this. We wish to educate the ill-informed Samajwadi MP that Sengol is a symbol of righteousness, which was banished by Pandit Nehru and is restored to its rightful place today by our Hon PM Thiru @narendramodi avl. The reinstatement of the Sengol in the Parliament happened in the presence & the blessings of the Adheenams from Tamil Nadu. The jibe at the Sengol by the SP MP is an insult to the Adheenams of Tamil Nadu, who come from the Backward class community. These comments from SP MP come as no surprise with the reappointment of Thiru Sam Pitroda, who equated South Indians to Africans & reflected how truly I.N.D.I. Alliance members think of South Indians & our culture.”

Former governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan also condemned the statements of Samajwadi MP stating, Sengol is a symbol of justice, fairness, impartiality & righteousness Mentioned in Ancient Tamil history of chola kings! Thank our Hon’ble @PMOIndia for installing it new parliament. Samajwadi party MPs ignorance is understandable, But DMK Cong Leaders from TN support is unpardonable They stand exposed as their love for Tamil & it’s traditions are only for elections to get votes not in their soul. Modi ji baiters always find fault in everything done in good faith by hob @narendramodiji Their attitude is condemnable”

Sengol – The Pride Of Indian Culture

A sengol is a royal sceptre imbued with symbolism of kingship, righteousness, justice, and authority, reflecting the responsible exercise of power. Originating in Tamil Nadu, it historically served as an emblem of royalty. For instance, among the Madurai Nayakas, the sengol was ceremonially placed before the goddess Meenakshi at the grand temple during significant events, then transferred to the throne room, symbolizing the king’s divine mandate.

Moreover, the sengol functioned as a tool of legitimacy. When the Sethupatis of Ramnad ascended to royal status in the seventeenth century, they obtained a ritually sanctified sengol from priests at the Rameswaram temple. This act underscored the ruler’s accountability to the deity in wielding authority and marked their elevation from local chiefdom to a higher royal stature. Thus, within its historical framework, the sengol epitomizes a concept of righteous kingship.

On 28 May 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi installed this significant sengol in the Lok Sabha chamber, positioned near the Speaker’s chair in the newly constructed Parliament building, following a traditional ceremony. This particular sengol, presented to PM Modi by Adheenams, had previously been accepted by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, on the eve of 14 August 1947.

Kallakurichi Hooch Tragedy: It Is Time To Make Prohibition An Electoral Issue Again

As of 27 June 2024, the death toll from the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy has risen to 63, as reported by the District Collectorate. Currently, 78 individuals are receiving treatment across various hospitals in the state. Among them, 48 are being treated at the Government Kallakurichi Medical College and Hospital, and 66 have been discharged from this hospital, according to hospital authorities.

Additionally, 9 people are undergoing treatment in Puducherry, 18 in Salem District, 1 at Royapettah Hospital in Chennai, and 2 in Villupuram District, all at government hospitals. The total number of people affected by consuming illicit liquor has now reached 229. Across Tamil Nadu, a total of 88 individuals have been discharged from hospitals following treatment.

Tamil Nadu witnessed a heartbreaking scene during the tsunami in 2004, with numerous bodies being cremated together. That was a natural disaster. However, the recent deaths due to illicit alcohol have created an artificial disaster orchestrated by a corrupt nexus involving police, officials, and politicians. The sight of bodies lined up for cremation on the banks of the Komugi River in Kallakurichi’s Karunapuram has deeply pained the community as every household displays banners featuring the deceased, who died of illicit liquor.

The cries of grief have yet to subside. Widows and mothers who lost their husbands and sons are overwhelmed by their irreparable loss. In Karunapuram, Veeracholapuram, Madhavachery, Siruvangur, Madur, and Seshasamudram, 63 individuals have lost their lives, while another 156 are hospitalized. The illicit liquor has devastated the families of about 60 daily wage laborers in Kallakurichi who relied on labor for their next meal. It has robbed women of their husbands, elderly parents of their sons, and hungry children of their fathers. Families with uncertain incomes are left in despair.

This isn’t the first instance of deaths due to bootleg liquor in Tamil Nadu, and there seems to be no assurance it won’t recur. The deaths in Kallakurichi, Vikatan reports, are a stark reminder that the government, under Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has not learned from previous tragedies like those in Marakkanam and Chengalpattu last year. The blame for these deaths cannot solely rest with the manufacturers and sellers of illicit liquor. Politicians, police, and government officials who colluded and supported this crime are equally culpable. The fact that such a large number of deaths occurred just 150 meters from a police station in a district capital is a shameful indictment of the entire police force.

While the government claims district collectors are monitoring methanol stocks in factories, illicit liquor continues to circulate freely. Panchayats in towns could prevent the influx of bootleg liquor if they chose to, but in many villages, liquor sales rights are still being auctioned.

The issue of illicit liquor persists alongside the government’s reliance on revenue from legal liquor sales, which it argues funds essential welfare schemes. The Prohibition and Excise Department reported a significant increase in revenue from liquor sales during 2023-24, totaling ₹45,855.67 crore, including ₹35,081.39 crore from VAT and ₹10,774.28 crore from excise duties, surpassing the previous year’s revenue by ₹1,734.54 crore. This stance contrasts with neighboring Kerala’s phased approach to prohibition, which still regulates alcohol sales confined to only hotels, bars, and airports, and continues to legally sell toddy.

Historically, total prohibition existed in Madras State until 1971 when the DMK government, under M. Karunanidhi, allowed the sale of arrack and toddy. In 1983, TASMAC, the state-owned liquor distribution entity, was established, monopolizing both wholesale and retail alcohol sales benefitting the few in power.

It is reported that there is a growing consensus in Tamil Nadu, particularly among women from daily labor communities, for the closure of all TASMAC outlets, citing the destructive impact of alcohol on families. Political figures like TN BJP chief Annamalai advocate for a gradual phase-out, proposing toddy as an alternative. Economists suggest government-controlled mineral extraction and sales to offset revenue losses. The Economist also mentions Amul Dairy, the Gujarat-based Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd., and similar cooperatives like Aavin, a Tamil Nadu State Government-owned cooperative, which achieved its highest-ever business turnover of ₹12,880 crore in the fiscal year 2023-24, showing a notable 9 percent increase from the previous financial year. This highlights an opportunity for the Tamil Nadu government to collaborate with cooperatives to enhance and align their revenues accordingly. They argue for initial political consensus followed by public support for a phased approach to implement these changes.

INC Kerala Peddles Misleading Information On Passenger Death In Train, Gets Fact-Checked

A 62-year-old passenger named Ali Khan was traveling in the sleeper coach of the Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Millennium Superfast Express (12645). While Khan was resting on the lower berth, the upper berth, which was occupied by another passenger, unexpectedly collapsed onto him. The impact and the weight of the passenger resulted in severe injuries to Khan. Railway authorities promptly took him to a hospital in Hyderabad, but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries during surgery.

In response to the incident, Indian Railways issued a statement clarifying that the accident was not due to a faulty berth. According to the railways, an inspection revealed that the upper berth’s occupant had failed to properly secure the berth using the chains, leading to the mishap.

This clarification came on 26 June 2024 following a media report that claimed a man traveling from Kerala to New Delhi died after an occupied upper berth fell on him. The railways further detailed that after receiving a message at around 6:34 PM on 15 June 2024, the on-duty station master at Ramagundam station quickly arranged for assistance through a 108 Ambulance and facilitated an unscheduled train stop at Ramagundam. Khan was then transferred from the coach to the ambulance and admitted to a nearby hospital.

Kerala Congress however chose to twist this incident to showcase the railways and the Railway Minister in poor light. They blamed safety as an issue among others. On their X handle, they wrote, “Condition of railways under @AshwiniVaishnaw and @narendramodi:

-Not enough trains or seats

-You can’t safely get onto a train

-If you manage to get in, no seat

-Even if you get a seat, you could be killed in a train crash, ‘berth crash’ or poor hygiene

Press Information Bureau, the fact-checking unit of the government (PIB fact-checked this and stated that due to imporper chaining of the middle berth, it fell on the passenger in the lower berth causing the fatal accident. They wrote, “A post on X by @INCKerala claims that the berth crashed on a passenger of Train 12645 Ernakulam to H. Nizamuddin #PIBFactCheck. The concerned passenger was traveling on lower berth of S/6 coach. Due to improper chaining of seat of upper berth by passenger, the seat fell down.”

Kerala BJP called out INC Kerala for peddling a false narrative regarding the safety of Indian Railways. They wrote, “Shameless @INCIndia has once again shown its inclination to undermine the central government at any cost, even at the expense of truth and decency. They attempted to politicize a tragic incident resulting in loss of life by distorting the facts. In reality, the fatal incident occurred due to a passenger’s wrongly fastened chain, causing the seat on the upper berth to fall. Despite this, Congress propagated a false narrative that the death was caused by the collapse of the berth, blaming the central government for mismanagement. This disgraceful act by Congress, disrespecting the late Ali Khan and his grieving family, deserves strong condemnation. Our heartfelt condolence go out to the late Ali Khan.”

It is noteworthy that INC Kerala has been in the news either for bullying or spreading false information or for derogating PM Modi and NSA Ajit Doval.

“When Savarkar Came To Chennai, I Met Him”: Ma Po Si’s Tribute To Veer Savarkar’s Legacy

In Tamil Nadu, the sentiment, akin to Napoleon Bonaparte’s statement, “History is a set of lies agreed upon,” is ingrained in the masses through educational materials that truncate real history to uphold the Dravidian political lineage. Many Indian nationalists who fought for the country have been cast in a dark light and neglected, as only the Dravidian ideology dominates history books and publications in Tamil Nadu, purely for political sustenance.

There’s a narrative perpetuated that apart from Gandhi and Nehru, there were no connections or alliances among various leaders across nation, creating a manipulated belief that Tamil Nadu only ever supported one ideology—the Dravidian ideology. This is a blatant falsehood. One such man whose activities ingrained the nationalist spirit in Tamil people was Ma. Po. Si.

The Mourning of a Nationalist for Another Nationalist’s Demise

Mylai Ponnuswamy Sivagnanam Pillai (MaPoSi) was a pioneering Tamil nationalist leader who embraced the notion that Tamils constituted a distinct race with their own culture and integrity, rejecting the notion of Dravidians as artificial. In the context of MaPoSi’s legacy and his contemporaneous involvement in national issues, it’s noteworthy that MaPoSi and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement, were contemporaries who adhered to different ideological frameworks. While Savarkar advocated for Hindutva and the concept of a unified Hindu rashtra, MaPoSi concentrated on asserting Tamil national identity and promoting social reform within the Tamil context. Their divergent views on nationalism and identity highlight the richness of ideological diversity, yet they shared a common commitment to the broader struggle for Indian independence.

Drawing inspiration akin to Muthuramalinga Thevar’s proclamation, “The nation and divinity are my two eyes,” MaPoSi exemplified this ethos by incorporating Tamil culture into his life. When news of Savarkar’s passing on 26 February 1966, reached Madras, MaPoSi penned a comprehensive tribute on 6 March 1966 in his magazine, “Sengol,” titled “A Historical Hero Savarkar Has Become Immortal. Our Tribute to the Great Hero Who Lived by His Conscience.”

Summary of the Article

MaPoSi reflected on Veer Savarkar’s passing at the age of 83, noting his austere life dedicated to higher ideals rather than ordinary pleasures. Studying law in London, Savarkar became a revolutionary who shared his knowledge with fellow Indians there. Fearing persecution under oppressive rule, he endured years in exile, foregoing personal happiness with his wife. His attempts to evade regime oppression in London led to imprisonment. Transported back to India under guard, he endured unimaginable tortures, eventually escaping through a prison hole. Reflecting on these experiences today evokes deep empathy among Indian patriots, few of whom have suffered as he did in the pursuit of liberty.

The suffering endured by those escaping ships and reaching foreign shores resonates deeply with older patriots today, surpassing the comprehension of modern generations. Savarkar’s flight across borders, evading relentless pursuit, forms an epic chapter in Bharat’s liberation. Upon reaching French territory, he believed himself safe from British arrest under international law but was apprehended by the French and handed over to British custody, despite appeals to the International Court of Justice. This ordeal underscored the challenges faced by a prisoner seeking global justice. Only a stalwart nationalist could endure such hardships with unwavering resolve, resulting in a life sentence imposed by a British court during his Andaman Islands imprisonment, where his brother also received a life sentence.

Gandhi, in Young India, condemned the injustice and advocated for the Savarkar brothers’ release, denouncing British tyranny. Later, as a historian, Savarkar debunked myths about the 1857 revolt, affirming it as a widespread uprising, not a mere mutiny. His work “The First War of Indian Independence” ignited the liberation flame, influencing my own “Veerapandiya Kattabomman.”

Meeting Savarkar in Chennai in 1934, I debated against his methods but admired his eloquence and convictions. Today’s ruling patriots overlook the Savarkar brothers’ sacrifices, their heroic narrative fading from our national story. Yet, Veer Savarkar remains a towering figure, his legacy transcending time, rooted in Hindu nationalism drawn from epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, advocating for “hereditary heroism.”

Between 1906 and 1908, amid Congress political landscape prioritizing job-seeking over national rights, Savarkar championed armed revolution, though Gandhi’s non-violent approach overshadowed his efforts. Future historians must grant Savarkar’s valor a significant place in India’s independence struggle. A man of conscience, he sought no reward, driven by belief in hereditary valor and a Hindu nation.

In his final years, Savarkar, bedridden and overlooked by leaders, passed unnoticed, denied the honors of a free Bharat. Times changed with leaders valuing ministers over patriots, yet Savarkar’s legacy endures, upholding Hindu traditions throughout his life. Had Gandhi lived to see Savarkar’s passing, he might have penned a tribute to this warrior. Such acknowledgments are rare from the timid.

With Veer Savarkar’s passing, an era ends in Bharat’s societal evolution, predating Gandhi’s influence. Long live the glory of Veera Savarkar!

Exerpts From the Article

MaPoSi narrates, “Veer Savarkar has passed away! At the age of (83), who lived in this earthly world, have no luck to enjoy the pleasures of life. Yes; He went to London to study as a barrister, where he became a revolutionary, stayed in the country and taught the art of revolution to many of the Indian students who camped there. Thinking that if he returned to his motherland freedom will be taken away by the oppression regime (British), losing the opportunity to strive for the liberation of the motherland, he stayed in other country for a few years and lived like a wanderer. Even though he was married, he sentenced himself to exile by not enjoying the pleasures of youth together with his wife.

Unable to stay in London, he tried to escape when the regime’s oppression targeted him, but he was unable to escape and got imprisoned. When he was brought to India by ship under police guard, he subjected himself to tortures beyond human endurance and escaped through a hole. Even if you think that incident today, it will melt your heart. He can be the only one among the Indian patriotic to suffer such great suffering.

Not only that, to even imagine what the great suffering that they received when they escaped from the ship would have been like could be understood by the old patriots who remain today. It is beyond imagination to the modern patriots. The escapee’s flight to touch the French border, and his menace created for the police who chased him, is a separate story to be included in a epic. All these for what? For the liberation of Bharat.

After reaching the limit of French, Veer Savarkar believed that the British police could not arrest him according to the international law but the French empire arrested him in violation of the international convention and handed him over to the British imperial police. Even after complaining to the International Court of Justice about this cruelty of the imperial French, justice was denied. Few people can understand the difficulty of getting the facilities and opportunities to file a case and claim in the International Court of Justice, being a prisoner. Only it is possible to the old nationalist who could accept hardships with strength. The International Court of Justice failed to provide justice to him. As a result, the devilish British court sentenced him to life imprisonment to the hero.

In the same time, when Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was imprisoned his brother Ganesh Damodar Savarkar, who had taken the heavy burden of running the family, was also sentenced to life imprisonment. Yes, it was a period when families became victims of patriotism, and both of the born brothers stayed in the Andaman island for many years.

The Savarkar brothers lived in the Andaman island for as long as Ram lived the forest life. Yes; fourteen years. A barrister spent 14 years in the Andaman Islands, an unimaginable ordeal. Condemning this atrocity and condemning the British tyranny, Gandhi wrote an editorial in his Young India magazine praising the sacrifice and urging the Viceroy to release the Savarkar brothers.

Veer Savarkar was a professor of history who had the ability to penetrate the truth in the history of the past. The British described the 1857 freedom revolt as a mutiny by a group of superstitious soldiers due to religious fanaticism, it was taught as lesson in the educational institution here ridiculing the freedom fighters. To get rid of this nonsense, Savarkar wrote a book named ‘Volcano’ (The Indian War of Independence 1957) in 1857, proved it was not a riot but a revolution led by so many people from house to house showing proper evidence . From the feeling that raised in my heart after reading that volcano, I wrote Veerapandiya Kattabomman novel, the British showcased Veerapandiya Kattabomman, who first voiced for independence, was described as a dacoit before independence. The slave intellectuals were propagating the same here .

When Savarkar came to Chennai in 1934, I met him in the office of the Arya Samaj as the secretary of the Chennai District Congress and had the privilege of talking to him for three quarters of an hour. I rejected his methods and argued that Gandhiji’s method was correct. I was impressed by his argumentative skills, I could see the firmness of a warrior’s words that came from his mouth.

When Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was suffering in the Andaman islands, wife of Savarkar’s brother passed away, his two daughters died, and the family suffered untold hardships. However, all the sufferings Savarkar brothers suffered for the liberation of this country have been ignored by today’s patriots in power.

What is Savarkar? The heroic adventure history of the patriotic tradition has become a lie, a dream, a fruit story. On this day, after the end of the war of independence, not even a generation has changed. Meanwhile, such a great accident in history. Savarkar was not a ordinary patriot, he was a historic hero. He was a “Hindu” minded nationalist. Not only today, but forever. Savarkar’s Hindu nationalism became obsolete as independent India was declared a secular state.

Savarkar was not non-violent, he was deeply committed to violence. His sense of violence was not derived from the American Revolution or the French Republican Revolution. It is derived from the Ramayana-Bharata (Mahabharat) epics given by the Hindu community. Rather than calling it “forced violence” , it would be more appropriate to say “hereditary heroism”.

Between 1906 and 1908, he planned to engage in armed revolution. At that time there was no political revolution in this country. The Congress of that day functioned as an organization to find jobs for Indians. But, a new youth community inside and outside the Congress was with revolutionary mind and the youth community realized the difference between seeking jobs for educated people and seeking rights for the country of India. The group of bulls who had studied the historical reports with attention knew that unless the enslaved society went on the path of revolution, it would be impossible to achieve independence. Yes; There is no proof that an enslaved nation can be freed by a moral struggle in those days. The new record was added to the history books only after 1919. Therefore, the non-violent people born in the later period do not blame the revolutionary movement that appeared in the earlier period.

Whatever the reason, the period between 1906 and 1908 the senior political leaders did not guide the revolutionary spirited bulls . In that situation, Savarkar himself, who was on the bulls age, bravely came forward and showed the way to the world of bulls. However, his armed revolutionary cause was defeated. Not by British imperialism, but the alternative given by Gandhiji. Savarkar became a defeat in his own way, However, his personal pride did not diminish. His methods were not accepted by the later people and his ambition to liberate the country of Bharat was successful.

Those who write the history of the war of independence, with neutrality, should give separate space to Savarkar’s heroism. Savarkar, a conscientious hero, did not expect anything from anyone as a reward for his sacrifice. His belief in hereditary valor and his determination to establish a Hindu nation in independent India, though unacceptable to us, we salute him for being a great leader who lived with conscience.

Savarkar was seriously ill lying in bed for more than two years. At that time not one of the ministers of this country went to his palace to see this great hero. Even after the death of his body was not decorated with flower garland of independent Bharat’s regime. Even if there was British rule in this country today, he would have been saluted as his true opponent. Yes; Times have changed. No. Congress rulers have changed the times. Henceforth, the patriots will not be respected. The government will respect only those die as a minister. Savarkar is called a ‘hero’ by the people of this country. Even this great man has decreed that his last rites should not be held extravagantly. He did not allow the Vaithikam ritual of Hinduism. He is unique among the patriots, he protected the uniqueness (of hinduism-persumably as the letters are not visible) throughout his life.

If non violent Ahimsa Gandhi lived on this day of the death of Savarkar, who believed in the force of arms, he would have issued a condolence statement with the heart beating emotion of a poet. Only a warrior can astound another warrior, and we can’t expect it from cowards. With the death of Veer Savarkar, the era of Bharat society has ended. The era belonged to pre-Gandhi period. Long live the glory of Veera Savarkar.”

NTK’s Seeman Seeks AIADMK & DMDK Support For Vikravandi By-election Evoking J Jayalalithaa & Vijayakanth As Three-Way Contest Unfolds

The All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has chosen not to participate in the 2024 Vikravandi by-election, leading to a three-way electoral contest among the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the NDA alliance, and the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK).

On 16 June 2024, AIADMK announced its boycott of the Vikravandi Assembly bypoll, citing concerns that the election would not be conducted fairly. AIADMK’s general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami stated that the ruling DMK and its sitting ministers might misuse state resources and engage in irregularities, using both physical and financial influence.

Nominations for the election and the deadline for withdrawal closed on 14 June 2024, and 26 June 2024 respectively with voting scheduled for 10 July 2024 and counting on 13 July 2024.

Amidst these developments, Seeman, the chief coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK), has a stirred a wave by calling for ADMK’s support, emphasizing the need to unite against their common rival, DMK. He remarked, “ADMK’s decision not to contest this election should translate into support for us.”

Speaking at the candidate introduction campaign in the Vikravandi assembly constituency on 25 June 2024, Seeman stated, “Even after everyone has left Vikravandi election, we are standing in the field. I ask to my dear people and relations belonging to the ADMK and DMDK organisations, and I ask the leaders that we respect a lot, the comrades and the brothers in this Vikravandi constituency is…. “

“Before I established the party, we supported ADMK in 2009, we worked for Jayalalithaa on ‘two leaves’ to defeat the Congress and DMK who were killing my relations. After that I supported your alliance in 2011 and then in 2014, I worked supporting you in the Parliamentary elections.  Not expecting any favors in return, you didn’t give me even a single rupee, You didn’t give me anything , I did’t get anything, I relied solely on donations from others (undiyal kuluki). That son is standing today, this is a situation, DMK is our common enemy, there is a chance, the only chance, to bring them down.”

Seeman later elaborated on his past support for Vijayakanth during his alliance with Jayalalithaa, spanning across 45 constituencies. He expressed deep respect for him, stating, “I worked tirelessly across all constituencies to support Vijayakanth. We hold him in high regard,” Then continued, “Without cutting down the poisonous tree called the DMK, genuine politics will not be born in our state and the good governance will not flourish.” After strategically garnered the support of AIADMK and DMDK cadres, Seeman urged voters to stand with his candidate Abinaya Ponnivalavan this one time, promising them to witness the transformation in 2026.

This appeal by NTK”s chief Seeman has sparked speculation about a potential alliance between AIADMK and NTK in the future. This move underscores their collective effort to counter DMK’s perceived dominance and influence in Tamil Nadu politics.

Hindu Munnani Condemns TNPSC For Listing EVR As Freedom Fighter In Group 1 Exam Syllabus

The Hindu Munnani has strongly condemned the recent inclusion of E.V. Ramasamy (Periyar) in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group 1 exam syllabus. The syllabus mentions his name among other prominent leaders who fought against British rule and for India’s freedom, causing a stir among various groups.

The TNPSC Group 1 syllabus lists E.V. Ramasamy as a notable figure in the National Renaissance, alongside esteemed freedom fighters such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, V.O. Chidambaranar, Subramania Bharati, K. Kamaraj, and Subhas Chandra Bose. The inclusion of EVR has sparked controversy due to his well-documented anti-freedom statements and perceived cooperation with the British government.

In a post on social media platform X, Hindu Munnani expressed its disapproval, stating, “It is shocking that EV Ramasamy is listed among the great freedom fighters of this land. He who had said that August 15 was a black day, and that India would not be able to make a pin if the British left, does not deserve this honor.”

The organization further highlighted EVR’s controversial stance during the freedom struggle. “He did not believe in nationalism from the beginning and if he is included in the syllabus as the spark of national upheaval, it will enable students to read wrong histories,” the tweet continued.

EVR’s infamous resolution, where he suggested that even if India were granted freedom, the British should continue to rule from London and directly govern Chennai, was cited as a prime example of his anti-national sentiments. “It is condemnable that the name of EVR, who insulted freedom, is included in the list of elders who sacrificed their body, material, and spirit to get freedom for our nation,” the Hindu Munnani asserted.

DMK Government To Give ₹25,000 Haj Subsidy For First-Time Haj Pilgrims From TN Despite Supreme Court Verdict, Other Welfare Measures Spending Increased

The Minority Welfare Minister, Senji Mastan, unveiled ten new initiatives during the recent Legislative Assembly session, which commenced on 20 June 2024. These proposals, presented on 25 June 2024 during the debate on the Minority Welfare Department’s grant request, aim to “enhance support” for minority communities:

  • A plan to distribute 2,500 motorized sewing machines to women from minority groups, with an allocated budget of ₹1.6 crores.
  • An increase in pension payments for registered members of the Ulama and Staff Welfare Board, raising the amount from ₹1,000 to ₹1,200. Additionally, the eyewear allowance will be increased from ₹500 to ₹750 rupees.
  • A boost in stipends for registered members of the Christian church preachers and staff welfare board. This includes a new educational stipend of ₹1,000 for students in grades 6-9 from members’ families.
  • The development of a dedicated software and web portal by the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency to streamline welfare assistance distribution for both the Ulama and Staff Welfare Board and the Christian church workers’ welfare boards. This project has a budget of ₹25 lakhs.
  • Construction of a dedicated building for the minority welfare college student hostel in Cuddalore district, with a budget of ₹3.96 crores.
  • Establishment of a new minority welfare college student hostel in Pudukottai district, designed to accommodate 100 students, with an allocation of ₹56 lakhs.
  • Creation of additional Muslim Women’s Aid Societies in eight districts (Tirupur, Tiruvallur, Vellore, Dindigul, Thanjavur, Chengalpattu, Madurai, and Erode) and new Christian Women’s Aid Societies in two districts (Tiruvallur and Sivagangai). This initiative has a budget of ₹10 lakhs.
  • Allocation of ₹5 crores to improve facilities at six historically significant dargahs that attract numerous visitors.
  • A fund of ₹1 crore dedicated to the assessment and measurement of Waqf properties.

Interestingly, along with these initiatives, the Tamil Nadu government has also announced a subsidy of ₹25,000 for first-time Haj pilgrims, despite a Supreme Court ruling and subsequent actions to eliminate such subsidies. The Supreme Court of India, in its 2012 verdict, ordered that the Haj subsidy must end by 2022, deeming it unconstitutional and inconsistent with the teachings of the Quran. Following this ruling, the central government ceased giving Haj subsidies in 2017.

However, the Tamil Nadu government has continued to provide financial aid for Haj pilgrims, recently enhancing the subsidy amount. This decision has sparked criticism, particularly from those who argue that taxpayer money should not be used for funding religious pilgrimages. Critics point out that while the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department earns revenue from Hindu temples through special darshan and Archana tickets, Hindus receive no similar subsidies for their pilgrimages.

Critics argue that the state’s allocation of taxpayer funds for Haj subsidies while neglecting Hindu pilgrimages, highlights a disparity. They also accuse the HR&CE department of exploiting temple revenues for government coffers rather than supporting the Hindu community’s religious activities.

Hindu Munnani State President Kadeswara Subramaniam Criticizes DMK Govt For Naming Awards After Karunanidhi

Hindu Munnani State President Kadeswara Subramaniam has criticized the Tamil Nadu government’s decision to name awards after former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, labeling it a dictatorial move aimed at consolidating political power rather than genuinely honoring the development of Tamil.

In his statement, he wrote, “Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced in the Assembly that an annual award in the name of former Chief Minister Kalaignar will be given to Tamil scholars who serve the Tamil language. However, there is concern over this decision. For instance, scholars like Manakudavar, Parimelazhagar Sir, and Thirukkural Munusamy have interpreted the Thirukkural as saying “Humility is immortal and incontinence will rise in the darkness.” In contrast, Kalaignar has allegedly distorted this message to promote his pseudo-atheism by writing that humility brings immortal fame.”

He added, “Furthermore, it is well-known that Kalaignar’s early works were criticized. If there is genuine love for Tamil, awarding in the name of someone who promoted atheism in Tamil literature and disrespected the language is seen as demeaning to Tamil and its grammar. Thousands of students have failed Tamil in the 10th and 12th standard public examinations, and many do not know how to write in Tamil without errors. This situation has developed under the DMK government led by Kalaignar.”

He also emphasized, “Prominent Tamil scholars like Swaminatha Iyer, a prolific writer and public speaker, and Thiru V. Ramachandran, known as Tamil Thendral for his Tamil style, are examples of true contributors to the language. Mahakavi Bharathiyar inspired freedom fighters with his passionate songs, and Parithimar Kalaignar, who changed his name to Suryanarayana Sastrigal out of deep love for Tamil, also deserves recognition. Ignoring such scholars and naming an award after someone who allegedly undermined Tamil for political gains is seen as inappropriate. Tamil and spirituality are inseparable, like two sides of the same coin.”

He concluded, “Thus, how can someone who distorted the true meaning of the Thirukkural for pseudo-atheist views be considered a developer and servant of Tamil? The DMK’s decision to name the award after Kalaignar is viewed as self-aggrandizing. Therefore, Hindu Munnani strongly opposes this decision and insists that the award should be named after genuine Tamil scholars like U Vesa, and Bharathiyar.”
