TN: Fraudulent Online Firecracker Sales Dupe Public Ahead Of Deepavali

TN: Fraudulent Online Firecracker Sales Dupe Public Ahead Of Deepavali

As Deepavali approaches, firecracker sales are booming in Tamil Nadu, and many online sites advertising firecrackers are duping the gullible public.

According to the firecracker industry, scammers exploit the festive season by offering big discounts, especially on crackers online. Industry sources told IANS that several complaints of fraudulent operators cheating people have surfaced.

The Tamil Nadu Cyber Police has already warned people about online cracker sale fraud, with several dubious websites offering freebies. Police said 17 cases have already been registered on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in).

According to the police, scammers create websites that appear genuine. The cybercrime wing of the Tamil Nadu Police has cautioned people about these fraudulent schemes, where dubious websites offer crackers at discounted rates but abscond with the money.

Police said scammers prey on festive enthusiasm by creating fake social media advertisements on popular platforms. These online advertisements often promote significant discounts on firecrackers or other festive items, luring unsuspecting buyers.

The cyber cell also reported that scammers design attractive advertisements promoting discounted crackers. Victims contact scammers via WhatsApp, phone calls, or through fake websites that look legitimate but are designed to steal money.

Police said these fraudulent sites often display authentic-looking product catalogues, prices, and payment options. These sites may request payment for crackers at discounted prices, but once payment is made, victims are deceived, and the scammers disappear without delivering the crackers. Those who attempt to purchase crackers online may compromise their security by sharing personal financial information.

R. Sakthivel, owner of a firecracker manufacturing company based in Virudhunagar, told IANS that several fly-by-night operators dupe the public. “Deepavali firecrackers are available in licensed shops in all small areas of Tamil Nadu. It is up to the public to decide whether they want genuine firecrackers from these licensed shops or risk being duped by fraudulent operators,” he said.

He also added that the police and government should conduct proper awareness campaigns to inform the public about these scammers who take advantage of unsuspecting people and steal their money during one of the biggest festivals.

Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu has an annual turnover of Rs 6,000 crore, with crackers being supplied nationwide.

Must Identify Areas With Low Polio Vaccination Coverage: Experts

Polio Vaccination Coverage

Even as India celebrates a decade of being polio-free, experts on World Polio Day on Thursday said it is important to identify areas with low polio vaccination coverage to protect children from the devastating disease and pave the way for a healthy future.

World Polio Day is celebrated on October 24 every year to raise awareness about polio, a viral disease that mainly affects children under the age of five.

India has achieved a significant milestone in eradicating polio: The World Health Organization declared the country free of polio in 2014.

However, polio remains a threat, and the pace of the polio vaccine has also slowed down in India, with the coverage levels being poorest in the north-east, as seen in recent data from the National Family Health Survey.

This is also reflected in the recent case in August, where a two-year-old child in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district was confirmed to have a case of vaccine-derived poliovirus (VDPV).

Earlier in 2022, an immunodeficiency-related vaccine-derived poliovirus (iVDPV) specimen was detected in Kolkata through routine surveillance, though this did not equate to a case of polio in the area.

“Given the high vaccination coverage in India, these detections do not result in increased polio cases. However, there is concern that if vaccination rates decline, the polio viruses could re-enter the population and cause disease. Therefore, it is crucial to identify areas with low vaccination coverage and take corrective action,” Dr Rajeev Jayadevan, Chairman of the Kerala State IMA Research Cell, told IANS.

“While India has been polio-free for 10 years, we must remain vigilant, especially with the virus still present in neighbouring countries,” said Deepak Kapur, Chairman of Rotary International’s India National PolioPlus Committee (RI-INPPC), at an event on Thursday.

“With only two endemic countries remaining — Pakistan and Afghanistan — we can finally see the silver lining on the horizon. Therefore, we keep our focus on immunisation,” he added.

The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), launched in 1988, efficiently reduced over 99.9 per cent of polio cases and eradicated wild poliovirus (WPV) types 2 and 3.

“India has achieved significant milestones in polio eradication within the last twenty years. However, the fight is still on as some sensibilities remain because of poor healthcare facilities, reluctance to vaccination, and socio-economic factors,” Dr Parimala V Thirumalesh, Sr. Consultant – Neonatology &Pediatrics, Aster CMI Hospital, Bengaluru, told IANS.

Constant improvement in surveillance, vaccination coverage, and community involvement continues to be crucial in the fight against polio, which can be transmitted via eating or drinking contaminated substances and lead to partial paralysis and even death.

“We must remain vigilant as challenges persist, particularly in regions where vaccine-derived polio remains a threat. We must innovate and adapt our strategies to reach the most vulnerable populations. Empowering local health workers is vital, as they are key to building trust within communities and addressing vaccine hesitancy,” Dr Ritesh Yadav, Consultant, Internal Medicine, Paras Health, Gurugram, told IANS.

Kerala ADM Suicide: Court Adjourns CPI-M Leader’s Anticipatory Bail Plea Till Oct 29

Kerala ADM Suicide: Court Adjourns CPI-M Leader’s Anticipatory Bail Plea Till Oct 29

A court in Kerala’s Kannur adjourned the October 29 hearing on CPI-M leader P P Divya’s pre-arrest bail plea in Kannur Additional District Magistrate Naveen Babu’s suicide case after a preliminary hearing.

Divya’s counsel argued that she had no malicious intentions when she spoke about Babu and was just making a general statement against corruption.

Meanwhile, the prosecution has vehemently opposed her bail plea.

The counsel of Babu’s wife said that it has now become clear that the so-called complaint by Prasanthan to the Chief Minister was made after the suicide, and moreover, today, they have not produced that complaint but came out with another complaint from a person named Gangadharan against Babu.

“There is no problem to arrest Divya. The entire episode of Divya was pre-planned,” said the counsel of Babu’s wife.

Babu, who has been widely appreciated for his clean official life and was to retire in seven months, felt deeply humiliated by her remarks and took an extreme step.

On October 13, Naveen Babu was found hanging in his home while his wife was waiting for him at the Chengannur railway station. He was recently transferred to his home district, Pathanamthitta.

Locals said that Babu was deeply hurt when Divya, the Kannur district panchayath president, made serious corruption charges against him at his send-off function on Monday. Divya had not been invited to the function and had barged in.

Divya said that a person approached her to speak to Babu about the sanctioning of a petrol pump station despite several requests, which he (Babu) had not been giving.

“Just two days before his retirement, Babu gave the sanction. I know how the sanction was given, and I will reveal all the details in two days,” she said.

Following the tragic incident, the person who applied for the petrol pump station was identified as T.P. Prasanth, an electrician at the state-run Medical College at Kannur and a colleague and friend of Divya’s husband.

Eyebrows were raised on how an electrician could afford to open a petrol pump station and more importantly, a person working in a government organisation cannot engage in a private business.

Trouble broke out when the probing media revealed a glaring omission on the part of Prasanth. It surfaced that in the lease rental agreement, the signatory is shown as Prasanth, while in the complaint letter to the Chief Minister, which stated that Babu had taken a bribe of Rs 98,500 from him, it’s written as T.V. Prasanthan. The signatures in the two documents were also different.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan broke his silence and assured that no one would be protected and that strong action would be taken against wrongdoers.

J&K CM Omar Abdullah Meets PM Modi In Delhi

omar abdullah article 370

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday, his first visit to the national capital since taking office last week.

This is Omar Abdullah’s first meeting with PM Modi after being sworn in as the Chief Minister of J&K. On Wednesday, Omar Abdullah met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and according to reports, Omar submitted the resolution passed by the J&K Cabinet for restoration of statehood to the Home Minister.

Omar was expected to submit the statehood resolution to the Prime Minister on Thursday; however, there is no confirmation yet whether he has submitted it.

The Chief Minister also met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during whom the Defence Minister conveyed PM Modi’s interest in ensuring the progress and development of J&K.

The Defence Minister also told the Chief Minister that the Union government is committed to supporting the initiatives that will bring prosperity and stability to the region.

Omar Abdullah also met Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari and discussed the ongoing road projects and future developmental initiatives in J&K. Their meeting focused on expanding road infrastructure, including critical highway projects and enhancing transportation facilities across J&K.

The NC, headed by former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, made the restoration of Article 370 and statehood for J&K the main electoral plank.

The Union Home Minister and the Prime Minister have assured J&K of its restoration to statehood. Even before the Supreme Court, the Union government filed an affidavit stating that statehood would be restored to J&K as soon as possible.

NC won 42, BJP 29, Congress 6, PDP 3, CPI (M) 1, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 1, Peoples Conference 1 and independents 7 seats in the 90-member Legislative Assembly for which the election were held after 10 years in J&K.

Six independent MLAs later joined the NC, while the Congress supports the Omar Abdulla-led government but said it would not join unless J&K regains statehood.

On August 5, 2019, articles 370 and 35A were abrogated and J&K was divided into two UTs of J&K and Ladakh.

Himanta Accuses Hemant Soren Of Betraying Jharkhand, Lying In Name Of His Father

Himanta Accuses Hemant Soren Of Betraying Jharkhand, Lying In Name Of His Father

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mounted a sharp attack on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of deceiving the people by swearing falsely in the name of his father, Shibu Soren. Speaking at an election rally in Jamshedpur on Thursday in support of NDA candidates, Sarma remarked, “Hemant Soren is the only leader in the country who has lied in his father’s name.” Sarma criticised Soren for making grand promises during the previous election campaign, such as providing five lakh jobs for the youth, unemployment allowances of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 per month, and Rs 2,000 monthly ‘stove allowances’ for women, but failed to deliver on any of them.

He said, “The youth have no future under the Hemant Soren government. Every time exams like CGL are held, the papers are sold for money.” Sarma further alleged that Hemant Soren and Minister Banna Gupta have obstructed the smooth conduct of competitive exams in Jharkhand. He vowed that if the BJP forms the next government, its first Cabinet meeting would initiate a CBI enquiry into the JSSC-CGL exam scam. “Those responsible for leaking exam papers during the JMM-Congress regime will face severe consequences under a BJP government,” he asserted. Talking about rising crime and violence against women in the state, Sarma claimed, “Jharkhand has seen the highest number of murders of women in the last five years, and the honour of daughters has been violated. The state ranks number one in crimes against women under the current government of infiltrators, mafia, and brokers.” Outlining the BJP’s vision for the state, Sarma spoke of the party’s “panch pranas (five vows)” for governance.

“Once in power, our first Cabinet meeting will approve the ‘Gogo Didi’ scheme, which will provide Rs 2,100 monthly to women. We also promise to create 1.5 lakh jobs every year,” he said. Sarma expressed confidence that the BJP, in alliance with the Janata Dal United (JD-U), AJSU Party, and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), would win the upcoming elections and form the next government in Jharkhand.

Ahead of the rally, BJP candidate Purnima Das Sahu (Jamshedpur East), Meera Munda (Potka), AJSU Party’s Ramchandra Sahis (Jugsalai), and JD-U candidate Saryu Rai (Jamshedpur West) filed their nomination papers. All four candidates were present on the dais with Himanta Biswa Sarma in Jamshedpur.

Advanced Engineering Solutions, AI Must To Ensure Road Safety: Nitin Gadkari

Advanced Engineering Solutions, AI Must To Ensure Road Safety: Nitin Gadkari

Road safety cannot be achieved without integrating advanced engineering solutions, enforcing laws, and adopting cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday. Addressing the ‘Traffic InfraTech Expo’ in the national capital, the minister emphasised the critical need to improve road safety and the adoption of advanced technologies in the transportation sector.

“The country experiences around 5 lakh accidents each year, resulting in numerous fatalities. More than half of these casualties are in the age group of 18-36 years. The economic loss due to road accidents is estimated at 3 per cent of the country’s GDP,” he said. The minister mentioned efforts to identify traffic violations through AI and other innovative methods, allowing authorities to enforce penalties accurately. Gadkari also outlined plans for upgrading toll collection methods, including the exploration of satellite toll systems, which would improve efficiency and ensure transparency in toll collection. Highlighting the approach to enhancing road safety, the minister further stated that the government has decided to appoint experts from the private sector to collaborate on developing technological solutions. “A dedicated expert committee will evaluate proposals from startups and industry leaders, ensuring that the best ideas are implemented. The committee has been directed to finalise its evaluations within three months, aiming for rapid improvements in the sector,” Gadkari said.

The Road Transport Minister encouraged small firms with innovative technologies to participate in government tenders, stressing the importance of cost-effectiveness while maintaining profit margins without exploitation. “By using the best technologies, India can achieve transparency, reduce costs, and significantly enhance road safety,” said Gadkari, calling upon all stakeholders – government, private sector, and startups – to come together in addressing the urgent issue of road safety in the country.

Khalistani Terrorists Trying To Radicalise Indian Students In Canada, Reveals Recalled Indian Envoy

Khalistani Terrorists Trying To Radicalise Indian Students In Canada: Indian Envoy Sanjay Kumar Varma

Senior diplomat and India’s recalled High Commissioner, Sanjay Kumar Verma, on Thursday advised Indian students in Canada to remain “aware of their surroundings” and resist radicalisation attempts by Khalistani terrorists and extremists in the country. Last week, India had decided to withdraw High Commissioner Verma and “other targeted diplomats and officials” from Canada following Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s continued “hostility” towards India.

Ottawa had insisted that the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats are “persons of interest” in a matter related to the murder investigation of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The move was termed as “preposterous imputations” by New Delhi. “At this time in Canada there is a threat from Khalistani terrorists and extremists to the larger Indian community, including outreach to students. Given the condition of the country’s economy, there are few jobs so students are offered money and food and this is how Khalistani terrorists influence them with their nefarious plans,” Verma told NDTV in an interview after returning to India.

He revealed that some students are also persuaded to hold protests outside the Indian diplomatic buildings in Canada and post their photographs and videos of insulting the Indian flag and raising anti-India slogans on social media platforms. “Then they are told to go and seek asylum because their version will be, ‘If I go back to India now, I will be punished…’ and there have been cases of such students being given asylum,” he said.

Verma, one of India’s senior-most serving diplomats with a distinguished career spanning 36 years, stated that several “negative influences” are pushing Indian students in Canada towards a wrong direction. He also urged the parents of students in Canada to “please talk to them regularly and try to understand” their situation, and to guide them away from “unwise” choices. In what was his first interview since returning home, Verma reiterated that not a “shred of evidence” was shared with him by the Canadian authorities regarding the so-called ongoing investigation.

He said that it was instead India which had shared with the Trudeau government a detailed evidence of radical and extremist groups operating on Canadian soil though no action was taken on it. “Besides the evidence shared with Canada, New Delhi, through its High Commission, also repeatedly sent extradition requests for 26 radical elements and gangsters, but nothing was done about it. “One law applies to you and another law applies to me, that doesn’t work in the world anymore. In the past, countries of the Global South would do as was told to them by the developed nations, but gone are those days,” he said while highlighting the “double standards” of the Trudeau government.

‘Widespread Anxiety’ That West Asia Conflict Would Spread Further: EAM Jaishankar

'Widespread Anxiety' That West Asia Conflict Would Spread Further: EAM Jaishankar

Expressing concerns over the situation in the Middle East and West Asia, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar on Thursday said there remains a “widespread anxiety” that the ongoing conflict would spread further in the region.

“The situation in the Middle East, West Asia for us, is an understandable concern. There is a widespread anxiety that the conflict would spread further in the region. Maritime trade has also been deeply affected. The human and material consequences of further escalation are truly serious. Any approach has to be fair and durable, leading to a two-state solution,” the EAM said at the BRICS Outreach session in Kazan. Representing Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the segment, Jaishankar emphasised that conflicts and tensions have to be handled effectively. “Prime Minister Modi has emphasised that this is not an era of war. Disputes and differences must be settled by dialogue and diplomacy. Agreements, once reached, must be scrupulously respected. International law should be adhered to, without exception. And there should be zero tolerance for terrorism,” he said.

Citing that as the old order changes while inequities of the past continue, the EAM mentioned that BRICS is a statement in itself and can make a real difference. He made five key points to ensure that the benefits of change reach those who are currently left behind and a more equitable global order is created. It included strengthening and expanding platforms of an independent nature to widen choices and avoid being leveraged; Reforming established institutions and mechanisms, especially the UN Security Council in the permanent and non-permanent categories; Democratizing the global economy through creating more production hubs to build resilient, redundant and shorter supply chains; Correct distortions in global infrastructure through connectivity options that enhance logistics and mitigate risks; and, sharing experiences and new initiatives that hold relevance and are of common interest.

“India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, its Unified Payments Interface and the Gati Shakti infrastructure, all hold a larger relevance. The International Solar Alliance, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, the Global Biofuel Alliance, Mission LiFE and the International Big Cat Alliance are similarly initiatives of common interest. As a First Responder, be it for natural calamities, health emergencies or economic crises, we seek to do our fair share,” he mentioned. The plenary session of the 16th BRICS summit in the outreach/BRICS-plus format on Friday was attended by leaders of the CIS countries, delegations from Asian, African, Middle Eastern and Latin American countries, as well as heads of executive bodies of a number of international organisations.

“DMK Will Break Into 2, One Faction Will Be Led By Kanimozhi”: AIADMK Spokesperson Kovai Sathyan Predicts, Says He Got 500+ Calls From DMK Members Echoing The Same

AIADMK Spokesperson Kovai Sathyan Predicts, Says He Got 500+ Calls From DMK Members

AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan has strongly criticized the DMK for elevating its crown prince Udhayanidhi Stalin, asserting that the party is likely to split into two or three factions by the 2026 state legislative assembly elections, when the crown prince Udhayanidhi Stalin is positioned as the face of the DMK and declared the chief ministerial candidate.

During a recent event organized by the AIADMK in Cuddalore, Kovai Sathyan reflected on his earlier speech in Vellore. He mentioned that since that address, he has received praise from DMK members for openly discussing nepotism within their party and for his support of Kanimozhi, the daughter of M. Karunanidhi.

Sathyan stated, “I said Crown Prince Udhayanidhi is going to become the deputy chief minister. After becoming the deputy chief minister he is the chief minister candidate in 2026.  If such a thing happens, now, a rift has started within the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, but there will be a rift within the DMK and it will break into two or three before 2026. I said that one group which breaks is called “KDMK”. Do you know what “KDMK” means? It is Karunanidhi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. I said that the leader for KDMK is Kanimozhi.”

Sathyan recounted that following his speech, he received a barrage of phone calls over the next two weeks. He was surprised because, in the past, after similar speeches, the opposition would typically call to scold him harshly. This time, however, the critics reached out to praise him, highlighting the ongoing disgruntlement within the DMK due to Udhayanidhi’s elevation. Many callers apparently echoed his statements, as they viewed Kanimozhi as their leader, but Udhayanidhi Stalin took the forefront.

It’s not just DMK’s allies that will split—DMK itself will fracture into 2-3 factions. After my speech in Vellore last month where I predicted this, with one breakaway group potentially called KDMK (Karunanidhi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) under Kanimozhi’s leadership, I received over 500 calls within two weeks supporting the idea.“, he said.

He criticized the DMK when he saw cadres pleading for money to support their children’s education during the DMK conference, all while Udhayanidhi’s son sat behind him on stage. This led him to label the DMK cadres as “hereditary slaves.” He questioned what qualifications Udhayanidhi had to become Deputy Chief Minister except for being the son of Stalin and the grandson of Karunanidhi.

7 Instances Of Anti-Hindu Activities At Jamia Millia University, Delhi

An article listing seven anti-Hindu activities at Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University in the recent past.

A scuffle erupted at Jamia Millia Islamia University during Deepavali celebrations on the night of 22 October 2024, involving two groups of students. The altercation occurred amid rangoli-making festivities, with reports indicating that the conflict began when one group vandalized the rangoli. Slogans such as “Allahu Akbar” and “Palestine Zindabad” were allegedly chanted during the chaos. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which organized the event, condemned the administration for inaction and claimed that “outsiders” and “anti-social elements” disrupted the festivities. The Student Federation of India (SFI) accused the administration of inviting outsiders to create communal tension. Police were deployed, and although no formal complaints were filed, a lathi charge was reported, causing injuries and fear among students. This is the first instance. This incident follows previous clashes at the university, let us take a look at 6 other instances of anti-Hindu activities at Jamia Millia Islamia University in the recent past.

2. Inhuman Treatment, Forced Conversion At Jamia Islamia – July 2024

Delhi Police registered an FIR against Jamia Millia Islamia officials, including Registrar Nazim Hussain Al Jafri, Deputy Registrar Mohammed Naseem Haider, and Professor Shahid Tasleem, under SC/ST Act sections 3(1)(p) and 3(1)(q) based on a complaint from Ram Niwas Singh, an assistant in the Natural Sciences department. Singh, who has alleged caste-based discrimination, accused them of using derogatory language, forcing him to convert to Islam and harassment. Singh claimed he faced retaliation after filing a complaint with the SC Commission and sought legal recourse, leading to increased hostility from university officials, including fake complaints against him.

3. Pro-Babri Masjid Slogans Raised At Jamia Millia Islamia – January 2024

On 22 January 2024, tensions flared at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia as videos surfaced of students chanting pro-Babri Masjid slogans on the day of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha celebrations in Ayodhya. In response, Delhi Police deployed personnel outside the campus as a precautionary measure, although no arrests were made due to a lack of official complaints. The university administration reported that academic activities were not disrupted and that only a few students were involved. The slogans, which called for a boycott of classes, sparked controversy given the recent Supreme Court ruling favoring the Ram Janmabhoomi.

4. Protest Blaming Hindus For Nuh Violence – August 2023

A week after violence erupted in Nuh, Haryana in August 2023, following an attack on a Hindu procession, students at Jamia Millia Islamia staged a protest, labeling the attackers as victims and accusing Hindus of aggression. Despite reports of assaults on Hindu devotees, including deaths and injuries, protesters claimed the violence was anti-Muslim. Eyewitness accounts and FIRs revealed a premeditated attack by a mob targeting Hindu participants and locals. The situation has prompted efforts from certain groups to distort the narrative, portraying the attackers as victims while downplaying the violence against Hindus.

5. Muslim Students In Jamia Millia Islamia Intimidate, Threaten Other Students Against Celebrating Holi On Campus – March 2023

On 1 March 2023, during a Holi celebration event called ‘Rangotsav’ at Jamia Millia Islamia University, some Muslim students opposed the festivities, threatening peers who participated. Videos shared on social media showed one student criticizing the administration and intimidating revelers, while an Instagram story from another student condemned participation in Hindu festivals, citing religious beliefs.

6. Muslim Students Of Jamia Millia Raised Slogans Against Hindu Student Organisations – January 2023

Jamia Millia Islamia University took action against students from the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) who proposed to screen a controversial BBC documentary on PM Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots, citing “disruption of peace.” Over 70 students have been detained by Delhi Police in connection with the planned screening and subsequent protests. University Vice-Chancellor Najma Akhtar condemned the SFI’s actions, emphasizing the need to maintain harmony on campus. The administration reiterated that no screenings or gatherings were allowed without prior permission, threatening strict disciplinary measures against organizers for any violations.

7. Principal Asks Dalit Teacher To Wash Utensils, Make Tea – July 2022

In July 2022, Harendra Kumar, a Scheduled Caste employee at Jamia Millia Islamia University, filed a complaint with the National Scheduled Caste Commission alleging that the university failed to implement reservations for Scheduled Castes and Tribes in appointments and promotions. Kumar accused the university’s officials of discrimination and colluding against him, which led to his wrongful termination from a guest computer teacher position. To support his claims, he provided evidence of threats and harassment from university authorities, including demands to perform menial tasks. Kumar’s actions prompted an investigation by a three-member committee formed by the commission to address the grievances he raised.

They not only indulged in anti-Hindu activities, but they also have been involving themselves in anti-national/anti-India activities over the years. Read more here.
