Cong Leaders Unconditionally Apologise To Ex-Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani Over False Allegations

Vijay Rupani

In a major development, Gujarat Congress leaders on Tuesday unconditionally apologised to former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for levelling baseless charges against the latter and admitted on record that their accusations were politically motivated and lacked any evidence. Vijay Rupani’s counsel, Ansh Bhardwaj, confirmed the unconditional apology issued by the Congress leaders in writing in a video message.

He further said that the former Gujarat CM has accepted their apology and has sought court’s permission to withdraw the defamation lawsuit that he filed against them. Two years ago, Vijay Rupani had slapped a legal notice to Congress leaders including Sukhram Rathwa and his associates for claiming that the former chief minister was part of a land scam worth Rs 500 crore. The Congress leaders in a press conference had claimed that the then BJP government under Vijay Rupani changed the zoning of land belonging to the Rajkot Urban Development Authority (RUDA) from residential to industrial for benefitting a corporate group.

Rupani’s legal counsel Ansh Bhardwarj informed that the Congress leaders led by the then Leader of Opposition Sukhram Rathwa have admitted on record that there was no evidence behind their wild charges and it was mere political accusation to show the then BJP government in bad light.

“Vijay Rupani had objected to their unwarranted charges in 2022 and demanded that they retract their allegations and file an apology. When they refused to oblige, a criminal defamation case was filed in Gandhinagar court by Vijay Rupani. Eyewitnesses recorded their statements and the trial continued. Now, all four Congress leaders have submitted an unconditional apology to Vijay Rupani for making unfounded claims,” said Ansh Bhardwaj. He further mentioned that Vijay Rupani has sought court’s nod for withdrawing the defamation suit against the Congress leaders.

Mahayuti Will Return To Power; Work For Solo BJP Govt In Maha In 2029: HM Shah

Mahayuti Will Return To Power; Work For Solo BJP Govt In Maha In 2029: HM Shah

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence that the Mahayuti (grand alliance) comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP will return to power after the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra. However, he gave an ambitious target to the BJP workers to muster a grand victory for the party in the 2029 Assembly elections and form a solo BJP government in the state.

In his address at the interactive meeting with party functionaries at Dadar in north-central Mumbai, HM Shah said the Mahayuti government is certainly retaining power in Maharashtra. “Only governments that do good work win elections. We have formed the third government in a row at the Centre. No party has the strength to stop the Mahayuti from returning to power again in the state.

HM Shah asked the party functionaries not to think of pre-poll surveys. His message to the party workers was to step up outreach with voters and increase the booth-wise voting percentage for the victory of Mahayuti in the state. “As there is a government, there will be resentment against it. Try to remove the resentment against the Corporators, Legislators and MPs. We need ten workers at each booth.

From Dussehra till the end of the campaign, these activists will continue to move in their given booths. “Get like-minded voters to vote. Make at least 20 people BJP members at each booth. Do not ask for votes while making them party members. After becoming a member, they will automatically understand the importance of voting,” said HM Shah.

He asked the BJP workers to implement the election plan that the Maharashtra BJP will develop. “Deliver that plan at Mandal and Ward level. Victory will be yours,” he claimed. “For the first time in the last 60 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the record for consecutively forming the government for the third time. Maharashtra Assembly election is an election that will change the state and direction of the country, and the Mahayuti will win it,” Shah said. He further asked the party workers to increase voting by 10 per cent. “I rose from an activist to the post of National President. So I am very happy when I interact with workers. Some elections determine the direction of politics in this country. Speaking from my experience, the election of Maharashtra will change the direction and condition of the country’s politics. No political party has won in the past three times in a row,” said HM Shah.

He said that the BJP was not in power to merely rule but to work on ideology, adding that the party came to power to construct the Ram temple and scrap Article 370. “After winning the election in Maharashtra, the Uniform Civil Code will be implemented in the country. No one can stop us from bringing the Uniform Civil Code if we come to power in Maharashtra,” HM Shah added.

He told party workers that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis could solve the problems in Maharashtra. “Terrorism and Naxalism were eliminated in the last ten years after the BJP came to power. Due to the leadership of PM Modi, the prestige of Indians worldwide has increased,” he opined.

Despite the BJP winning only two seats in the Lok Sabha, no worker had left the party. This is our history. The activists of the 1980s knew that they were going to lose the elections but they did not care. We have come to build a great India in politics, not for the Prime Minister or any other post. Governments come and go. Parties leave policies and ideas. Our government lasted for ten years. But we have not given up thoughts or policies”, claimed HM Shah.

The PM-Drive scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on September 11 to promote electric mobility in the country.

Launching the ambitious scheme, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, HD Kumaraswamy, said this is a landmark day as we transition from the FAME Scheme and the Electric Vehicle Promotion Scheme (EMPS) to the PM E-DRIVE scheme. “On the eve of the 155th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, we are contributing not only to ‘Swachh Bharat’ as per the clarion call of PM Modi but also to ‘Swachh Vahan’. Through this initiative, we fulfil the government’s promise to launch the scheme within 100 days,” said the minister. The PM E-DRIVE scheme will play a pivotal role in accelerating EV adoption and building critical charging infrastructure nationwide, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future, added Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma. As part of the scheme, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has introduced e-vouchers for EV customers to avail of demand incentives.

The e-vouchers streamline the process of accessing incentives, providing a seamless experience for both consumers and manufacturers. “This initiative is set to accelerate EV adoption across the country and further boost domestic innovation and manufacturing,” said Kumaraswamy. Under the scheme, ₹ 3,679 crore have been allocated for e-2Ws, e-3Ws, e-ambulances, e-trucks and emerging EVs — supporting 24.79 lakh e-2Ws, 3.16 lakh e-3Ws and 14,028 e-buses. ₹500 crore have been allocated for e-ambulance deployment and the standards will be set in consultation with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Prasadam Row: Pawan Kalyan Begins His Journey On Foot To Tirumala Temple Tirupati

Pawan Kalyan Begins His Journey On Foot To Tirumala Temple Tirupati

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan began his journey on foot to Tirumala Tirupati temple on Tuesday evening. After performing puja at Alipiri Padala Mandapam, he began his journey to the famous hill shrine. On Wednesday, he will end his 11-day ‘Praschit Deeksha’ (penance) for alleged adulteration of animal fat in Tirupati laddu after darshan at Sri Venkateswara temple, also known as Balaji temple. Many leaders and workers of Jana Sena and its allies Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reached Alipiri to welcome the actor-politician.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan began his foot march amid tight security by the police and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). After darshan, Pawan Kalyan will also visit Anna Prasadam centre, where devotees are offered free meals. Pawan Kalyan began the ‘Deeksha’ at the Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy temple in Nambur, Guntur district on September 22 after performing puja and rituals conducted by the priests. The actor-politician said after the Deeksha, he would seek the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala to pray to God to give him the strength to cleanse the sins committed by past rulers. The Deputy Chief Minister said he was personally pained over the use of ghee adulterated with fish oil and animal fat for Laddu Prasdam and hence he undertook the ‘Praschit Deekhsha’.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had claimed on September 18 that ghee adulterated with animal fat was used in making laddu prasadam during the YSR Congress party regime. The state government also constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations. However, on Tuesday, Director General of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao announced that SIT temporarily suspended its probe following the Supreme Court order. The Supreme Court had said on Monday that there is currently nothing to show that animal fat was used in preparing Tirupati laddus during the previous YSR Congress regime led by (former Chief Minister) Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. It verbally asked SIT to “hold its hands” till October 3, the next day of the hearing.

The apex court said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should have ‘kept the gods away from politics’ before rushing in to make public statements based on unsure facts that lard was used to prepare the laddus in the previous regime. Headed by Guntur range Inspector General of Police (IG) Sarvashresth Tripathi, the SIT conducted probe for last three days. On Monday, it inspected ghee tankers and the lab at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). The SIT spoke to TTD officials concerned about the method they adopt to check the quality of the materials they procure. They enquired about the quality check procedure followed in respect of ghee.

Decomposed Body Of Young Woman Found In Suitcase Near Salem

In a shocking discovery, a decomposed body of a young woman was found in a suitcase under a roadside bridge near Avarangampalayam, located on the national highway between Salem and Coimbatore, close to Sankagiri in Salem district. The incident has caused widespread fear and concern among local residents.

The matter came to light when residents of the area noticed a foul smell emanating from beneath the bridge and reported it to Vaikuntam Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Jayakumar. Acting on the complaint, Jayakumar immediately informed the Sankagiri Police Station. Salem District Superintendent of Police, Gautham Goyal, along with the Sankagiri Deputy Superintendent of Police, rushed to the spot to investigate.

Upon opening the suitcase, the police were shocked to find the naked body of a young woman in an advanced stage of decomposition. The body was recovered and sent to the Salem Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased woman was aged between 20 and 30 years. Authorities are now focusing on identifying the victim and determining where she was from. An investigation is also underway to trace who discarded the suitcase in the area and to find the person responsible for the murder.

The grisly discovery has unsettled the local community, and police are intensifying their efforts to uncover the truth behind the crime.

Woman’s Dismembered Body Found In Chennai

Just a couple of weeks ago, in Chennai’s Thoraipakkam area was witness to the discovery of the dismembered body of a woman found stuffed in a suitcase. Residents of the Kumaran Kudil area detected a foul smell from the suitcase on the roadside and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the Thoraipakkam police discovered the severed body parts that day as Deepa had been reported missing three days earlier.

The police quickly launched an investigation, with CCTV footage helping to identify 25-year-old Manikandan from Sivaganga district as a suspect. Manikandan, who had been staying nearby, was seen abandoning the suitcase. Investigators found that Deepa, involved in sex work, had come to the area through an intermediary. Manikandan had hired her, but a payment dispute led him to kill her in a fit of rage.

Palani Temple Rajagopuram Damaged; Hindu Munnani Condemns, Blames Rushed Kumbabhishekam, Questions Temple Administration’s Accountability

Devotees of the famous Palani Dandayuthapani Swami Hill Temple were left shocked after part of the Rajagopuram (temple tower) was found damaged. The temple, one of the six sacred abodes (Arupadai Veedu) of Lord Murugan, draws thousands of visitors daily from across Tamil Nadu and other states. Annual festivals such as Thaipusam and Panguni Uthiram are celebrated with great devotion, attracting large crowds.

The temple’s Kumbabhishekam, a sacred consecration ceremony, was last performed on 27 January 2023, after a 16-year gap. However, just a year and a half later, a portion of the top of the Rajagopuram broke off, particularly in the horn-like area on both sides. This unexpected damage has left many devotees deeply concerned.

Temple officials have acknowledged the damage, assuring devotees that steps are being taken to repair the tower. It is true that a part of the Rajagopuram has been damaged. We are in the process of rehabilitating the area, and a small-scale Kumbabhishekam and reparation puja will be performed after the repairs. Devotees should not be alarmed, a temple official reportedly said.

The Palani Temple Devasthanam has requested the Stapati Committee to assess and address the damaged Rajagopuram. Experts are investigating the cause of the structural failure, and the restoration efforts will be closely monitored to ensure the temple’s safety and sanctity.

The temple had undergone major renovations, with the Palanayam ritual held on 2 December 2019, marking the start of the Kumbabhishekam works. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was delayed by three years before finally taking place in January 2023.

Devotees have urged the temple administration to expedite repairs and ensure the structural integrity of the Rajagopuram is maintained, hoping for swift restoration of this sacred structure.

Hindu Munnani Issues Condemnation

The Hindu Munnani expressed strong condemnation regarding the damage to the Rajagopuram of the Palani Sri Dandayuthapani Swami Temple, which they described as one of Tamil Nadu’s most iconic and revenue-generating temples. The organization highlighted that less than two years after the Kumbabhishekam was hastily conducted, the structural integrity of the temple had already been compromised. Hindu Munnani pointed out that they had previously warned against conducting the Kumbabhishekam in an emergency, without proper preparation, and emphasized that the ritual, as per Agama traditions, should only be performed once every 12 years, following a thorough assessment of the temple’s condition.

They also criticized the temple administration for offering what they called an “absurd excuse,” blaming monkeys for the damage to the Rajagopuram. According to Hindu Munnani, the temple’s structure should not be so fragile that monkeys could cause harm, and they raised concerns about the safety of pilgrims. The organization urged that the stability of the entire temple should be reassessed immediately, with repairs and maintenance undertaken before any further poojas or rituals were carried out.

Hindu Munnani questioned the Charities Minister’s claims that Kumbabhishekam had been conducted at over 2000 temples under the Dravida Model, asking whether these ceremonies were similarly rushed and substandard. They cited various incidents in other temples, including the overturning of chariots, the untimely death of temple elephants, and structural damages, which had heightened fears among Tamil Nadu’s devotees.

The organization demanded transparency and accountability from the Palani temple administration, questioning whether the Kumbabhishekam was conducted properly or rushed for political or financial reasons. They rejected the explanation that monkeys were responsible for the damage, insisting that poor maintenance and substandard execution were likely the real issues. Hindu Munnani concluded by calling for an immediate inquiry into the incident, along with a reassessment of the temple’s safety to prevent further endangerment of devotees and to preserve the sanctity of Tamil Nadu’s temples.

DMK Min TRB Rajaa Shares Data Claiming DMK Govt Was Providing More Jobs For Youth, Gets Debunked, ‘Hides’ Reply

TRB Rajaa

DMK Minister for Industries, the party’s IT Wing secretary TRB Rajaa shared a post on how TN Chief Minister MK Stalin providesquality jobsfor the youth. He wrote on his X handle, #Jobs, jobs, and more #JobsForTN! As our Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal has always emphasised, every rupee of the lakhs of crores in investments we bring in is aimed at creating quality jobs for our youth and the results speak for themselves! This is the #DravidianModel in action! #InvestInTN”

However, the data shared by Rajaa turned out to be half-truth. An article reveals that According to the latest (2019-20) data in the report sourced from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation’s Annual Survey of Industries (ASI), Tamil Nadu had 38,837 factories, up 45 percent from 26,790 factories as of 2009-10 and 1.85 percent from 38,131 factories as of 2018-19. In comparison, Gujarat had a 28,479 factory count, growing at a faster rate of 82 percent from 15,576 as of 2009-10 and 6 percent from 26,842 as of 2018-19.

Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh had 25,610, 16,924, and 16,184 factories as of 2019-20. Importantly, out of the total number of factories in India, 2,46,504 as of 2019-20, which jumped by 55 percent from 1,58,877 as of 2009-10, Tamil Nadu had a share of 15.7 percent, compared to Gujarat’s 11.5 percent, Maharashtra’s 10.3 percent, Andhra Pradesh’s 6.8 percent, and Uttar Pradesh’s 6.5 percent.

Upon comparing percentages, it was revealed that in 2019-20, Tamil Nadu’s share of the total was 15.75%, with the state contributing 38,837 out of a total of 246,504 factories. By 2022-23, Tamil Nadu’s share had decreased to 15.66%, with the state contributing 39,672 factories out of a total of 253,334 factories. This represents a reduction in Tamil Nadu’s share by 0.09% over this period.

However, TRB Rajaa did not seem to like his lie being exposed. Instantly, hehidthis particular reply from his comments section so others are not able to see the truth.

TN Govt School Students Shine In NEET Examination Reveals RTI Response Debunking DMK’s Claims

TN Govt School Students Shine In NEET Examination

In a remarkable achievement, government school students have excelled in this year’s NEET examination, significantly increasing their representation in medical colleges. According to statistics obtained through a recent RTI query, 78 students were admitted to medical colleges without utilizing the internal quota, accounting for 7.5% of the total admissions. This is a notable improvement from 2017 when only 34 government school students secured medical college placements prior to the NEET exam.

Additionally, it has been revealed that 3,248 students—representing 49% of the total—enrolled in medical courses under the state government quota without attending NEET coaching classes. This data was disclosed in response to an RTI petition filed referencing official documents from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The RTI inquiry sought detailed information regarding the availability of medical seats under the state medical quota, as well as the number of students from government schools who gained admission. Key findings include:

  • Total Medical Seats Available: 8,316 seats under the state medical quota (including government and self-financing institutions).
  • Admissions from Government Schools:
    •  Excluding 7.5% Reservation: 78 students
    •  Including 7.5% Reservation: 683 students
  • Admissions by Education Board:
    •   Tamil Nadu State Board: 4,140 students
    •   CBSE: 4,030 students
    •   ICSE: 81 students
    •   Other Boards: 39 students
  • Students with NEET Coaching: 3,305 students
  • Students without NEET Coaching: 3,248 students
  • Applications for Medical Seats with NEET Coaching: 11,008 students
  • Applications for Medical Seats without NEET Coaching: 17,822 students

These figures highlight the increasing success of government school students in competitive examinations and underline the importance of educational support and resources. The data reflects a growing trend of government school students overcoming barriers to access higher education in the medical field thereby debunking the DMK’s claims that NEET was detrimental to students of government schools in Tamil Nadu.

Madras High Court Clears All Ways For RSS Pathasanchalan, DMK Govt Gets A Knock On The Head

RSS Pathasanchalan

The Madras High Court has permitted RSS Pathasanchalan (route march) in all 58 places across Tamil Nadu.

This comes a day after the court criticized the DMK government for its unsatisfactory response to not giving permission for the route march.

The Madras High Court criticized the State police for denying protection to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) route marches, while recently providing security for the ruling DMK’s 75th anniversary event. The court asked the government to not test its patience and ordered the police to reconsider their decision rejecting protection for the RSS marches.

Justice G. Jayachandran warned that if the police failed to consider all RSS applications for route marches based on court and Supreme Court guidelines, they could face contempt proceedings. This was in response to petitions from RSS members seeking permission for Pathasanchalan and public meetings at 58 locations on Vijayadasami.

The judge noted it was a serious issue that the ruling party was granted permission for its event, but RSS was being denied similar approval.

Representing the police, Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) KMD Muhilan stated that 42 out of 58 RSS applications were approved with conditions, and 16 were rejected due to a lack of police resources in certain areas.

The petitioners’ counsel argued that the police should admit their incapacity since the marches were allowed elsewhere in the country. They alleged rejections were for improper reasons, citing the example of Tiruchy, where an event scheduled for a Sunday was denied on the basis that it would inconvenience students and office workers.

Following the submissions, the judge emphasized that the Supreme Court and High Court had established clear guidelines for approving such marches, and there was no need for rejection or additional conditions. The police were instructed to review all applications.

On October 1, 2024, senior advocate Karthikeyan, representing the RSS, informed reporters that the police had updated the court, stating they had granted permission for 10 of the remaining 16 routes, rejecting only six. He added that, as the state failed to provide adequate justification for the rejections, the court ultimately approved the rallies in all six previously denied locations.

The court remarked that atleast from next year, the police should address such matters independently and grant permissions without requiring the RSS to seek judicial intervention.
