CEPPS And USAID: The $21M Plan Of Deep State To Interfere In Indian Elections

The newly formed DOGE cancelled $21M funding for NGO CEPPS for a program ‘voter turnout in India’. The CEPPS website is defunct now.

Was it the first attempt at electoral interference in India by USAID? The answer is – NO.

The USAID program “Elections and Political Processes” was to “promote legitimate contestation for ideas and political power through democratic political processes that reflect the will of the people”. Gimmicks! The real agenda is influencing the elections. In 2013, USAID pledged half a million dollars for India under the same category.

  • Funding Agency – Dept of State
  • Managing agency – USAID
  • Implementing Partner – Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS).

The funds were disbursed monthly, in and around, the general election in India, 2014. Post-election the funding faded.

Though CEPPS continued to fund different projects in India under different heads. I’ve verified these in the Annual Finance Reports of CEPPS for at least 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. The amount every year is around $320,000.

This CEPPS is part of the larger umbrella of IFES (International Foundation of Electoral System) which is funded/partnered with USAID, US St Deptartment, Open Society (Soros’), etc.

You may find the ECI (Election Commission of India) logo as well here. The possible reason is here:

In 2012 ECI signed an MoU with IFES for joint initiatives for exchanging information, experiences, and research. Basically, there is a lot of data. This data is a gold mine. At that time Dr SY Quraishi was chief election commissioner.

If you don’t know SY Qureshi, there is a teaser – endorsing a post -“wishing” Coronavirus infection to PM Modi. Anyway!

However, just a short while ago, former CEC, Quraishi said that the MoU was signed but no funds were taken. Leaving it as it is.

Another shocker, I found a whitepaper published by IFES on Dalits’ role in the election in India. The white paper’s keywords had an uncanny resemblance to Rahul Gandhi’s rhetorics of ‘jiski jitni aabadi’ (representation), participation, influence in parliament, etc.

It is not rocket science to understand that these agencies are not a Messiah who wanted to establish democracy in India at American taxpayers’ cost. A well-established ecosystem of deep state to influence and directly interfere in India’s election. There is no question as to who colludes with them from India.

USAID paid $21 million to influence Indian elections by targeting voter turnout, says Mike Benz.

The award was piped through the NGO named “Consortium for Elections & Political Process Strengthening”. When the grants were checked, it was found that the US has piped billions of taxpayer funds to CEPPS over the last 15 years.

The CEPPS operates through 3 fronts, including the National Democracy Institute (NDI), which in turn supports the Asian Network for Free Elections. Note the Indian map without J&K and Ladakh they published in March 2024.

Curiously, the CEPPS handle on X has been deactivated as has its webpage. But on going to its proxy – the Advancing Electoral Democracy in Asia website, we find that Lokniti CSDS are its local partners. Notice who its Bangladesh partner is? – Odhikar.org which is claiming that the Sheikh Hasina government is responsible for the deaths of people during the “revolution” last year!

Vasu Mohan, who has been serving IFES for 21 years in various capacities, deleted/deactivated his X profile. What does it indicate?

Kerala: Hamas Terrorists’ Posters Displayed At Thrithala Mosque Festival, Palakkad

A mosque in Thrithala, Palakkad, sparked controversy and received severe criticism for displaying images of terrorist leaders of Hamas during its annual Urus celebrations. The pictures of Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, key figures of the terrorist group Hamas, were prominently featured in the elephant procession, with the images paraded atop three elephants.

The controversial display of these images, including banners with the titles ‘Tharavadis, Thekkebhagam’ drew widespread outrage. During the procession, which was attended by over 3,000 people, young children were seen holding posters of Sinwar and Haniyeh, while the crowd cheered on. The incident sparked significant debate on social media, with many questioning the organizers for allowing such displays.

The participation of political figures, including Minister MB Rajesh and Congress leader VT Balram, has raised concerns, though the organizers have not responded to the controversy surrounding the banners.

This incident comes amid a series of recent events related to pro-Palestine sentiments in Kerala. In 2024, the Kerala University youth festival faced backlash for using the term “Intifada,” which has been associated with the Palestine-Israel conflict and Hamas. This led to a directive from the Vice-Chancellor to remove the term from all promotional material.

In October 2023, a rally in Malappuram, organized by the Jamaat-e-Islami youth wing, Solidarity Youth Movement, featured Khaled Mashal, a former leader of Hamas, who virtually addressed the gathering due to visa issues. The BJP strongly condemned the participation of Hamas leaders in these events, with state president K Surendran demanding an investigation into the matter, calling the involvement of Hamas extremists in Kerala “extremist.”

“If Such People Come To Politics..”: TVK Functionaries Including Siblings Accused In Tragic Suicide Of 13-Year-Old Girl, One Arrested, Other Absconding

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday (13 February 2025) for allegedly harassing, intimidating, and abetting the suicide of a 13-year-old girl in Narasingarayanpettai, Gingee taluk.

As reported in The New Indian Express, the accused, T Saravanan, is the branch treasurer of Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and the brother-in-law of TVK Villupuram West and North District Secretary Guna Saravanan. His sister, Sangeetha, who was also booked in the case, is currently absconding. Sangeetha is the District Secretary of TVK as indicated by the victim’s mother.

According to Gingee police, Saravanan had been stalking and harassing the minor for the past three months. On Monday (10 February 2025), he and his sister allegedly confronted the girl in public, pressuring her to accept his proposal and marry him. Hours later, she died by suicide at 10:30 PM after returning home.

Following an investigation, police booked Saravanan and Sangeetha under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment of Women Act, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Saravanan was arrested on Thursday, while efforts are underway to locate Sangeetha.

Grieving relatives spoke to the media and said,They must remove him from the Vijay Fan Club. See how he behaves when they are still in the nascent stage in politics. If they go full-fledged, wonder how it will be. My 13-year-old daughter was harassed by a 25-year-old man, Saravanan. Yesterday he took my daughter to a function. I don’t know what he did there. His sister Sangeetha is a District Secretary in Vijay’s party (TVK). Guna Saravanan, Sangeetha and he took my daughter somewhere and I don’t know what they did to her. She came home crying and upon asking what happened, she did not say anything in response. I thought I can deal with it the next morning and asked her to go to sleep. Suddenly when I went into the room, I found her hanging. He has been troubling her for 3 months now.”

Aarattu Puja Site Desecrated: Kerala CPIM Govt’s Kudumbashree Mission Cooks Meat At Sacred Kalmandapam Of Sree Padmanabhaswamy In Shankhumukham Leading To Event Shutdown

The organizers of a recent event were compelled to shut it down after protests erupted over the cooking of meat at the Kalmandapam in Shankhumukham, where the Aarattu Puja of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple was being conducted. The incident occurred during a food festival organized by Kerala Government’s Kudumbashree Mission.

The controversy began when it was reported that meat was being prepared at the Kalmandapam, a sacred site associated with the Aarattu Puja. This act sparked strong protests, with many viewing it as deliberate and provocative. Demonstrators called for urgent intervention from the Home Department, accusing certain groups of attempting to incite division and unrest. They demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and legal action against the organizers, asserting that this was not a simple mistake but a planned provocation.

The issue gained further attention after it was covered by local media, prompting Karamana Jayan, president of the BJP Thiruvananthapuram Central District Committee and member of the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple Management Committee, to get involved. Eventually, the cooking of meat at the Kalmandapam was halted, but no legal action has been taken against those responsible, including those believed to be behind the conspiracy.

Following the coverage, the cooking equipment was removed, and a team led by Shankhumukham SL visited the site, demolishing a temporary toilet. Cleanup operations are now underway. BJP and Hindu organizations have indicated that they may pursue legal action against the municipal authorities who permitted the cooking in the Kalmandapam.

The historic Shankhumukham area, which includes the Kalmandapam, the Shankhumukham Palace, and the old house, is facing threats to its preservation. The site, popular for its scenic views, especially at sunset, is seen as lacking adequate protection by the government.

Hindu Aikya Vedi is planning to take legal action in response to the cooking incident at the Aarattu Mandapam. State Secretary Sandeep Thampanoor stated that the situation is being closely monitored, and if no action is taken, the organization will escalate their protest.

Additionally, the Kerala Temple Protection Committee will protest in front of the Corporation Office on 17 February 2025 at 3 PM, criticizing the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation for desecrating the sacred Aarattu Mandapam and insulting the Hindu community. The BJP has also joined in protesting the incident. In the morning, BJP councilors staged a blockade at the Corporation Office, voicing their objections to the incident.

“Want To Kiss Without Leaving An Inch”, Dravidianist Actor/Anchor & DMK Functionary Posts For Kiss Day, Dravidianist-Commie Retd Madras HC Judge Gives Her Lessons

Former Madras High Court Justice K Chandru, known for his leftist and Dravidianist views has once again found himself making inappropriate comments on his social media account.

This time he was commenting on a Dravidian actor/anchor and DMK functionary who had posted a passionate post for “Kiss Day” of the Valentine week.

The DMK functionary had posted “Want to kiss without leaving an inch. Until ‘your part’ dissolves. Until love ends. On the forehead.. Until lust ends. In everything. Happy Kiss Day“.

Responding to this, the self-styled champion of social justice and a former judge wrote “Now we have the metric system. Inches, feet, and yards are all gone. Now everything is in millimeters, centimeters, and meters. Now write poetry in metric measurements!!

Taken aback by the response, the Dravidainist anchor/actor/DMK functionary wrote “I thought you were only a judge. I didn’t know that you were Ramanujan (referring to mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan). Even if you were, I didn’t expect you to come to this page.

This is not the first time that former Justice Chandru who fashions himself as a social justice champion has made inappropriate comments on his Facebook account.

In the past, he has made casteist and sexist remarks about Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in his social media posts.

In a Facebook post, former Judge of the Madras High Court had commented that Annamalai is making a route for a Rajya Sabha seat through Karnataka just like “Oorugaai Ammaiyaar” – a casteist and a sexist reference to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Brahmin and woman identity.

Oorugaai Ammaiyaar in Tamil means “a woman who makes pickles”. This reference is used because it is said that women from Tamil Brahmin community make good pickles.

It is not just a casteist reference but is also sexist and highly misogynistic that indirectly implies that women from Brahmin commmunity are good for only making pickles.

Following this, many on social media called out the casteist and sexist mindset who had once wielded the pen of justice.

Sacred Service, Stolen Dues: How HR&CE’s Grip Exploits Tamil Nadu’s Temple Archakas And Why Archana Plate Offerings Matter

In Tamil Nadu, where temples stand as timeless symbols of spirituality, culture, and heritage, the guardians of these sacred spaces—the archakas (priests)—are fighting a silent battle for survival. Despite their indispensable role in preserving religious traditions and serving devotees, archakas are often reduced to living in abject poverty, their salaries a pittance, and their dignity stripped away by bureaucratic overreach. The recent controversy surrounding the HR&CE (Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments) Department’s attempts to control temple offerings is just the tip of the iceberg in a systemic issue that demands urgent attention.

The HR&CE’s Overreach: Denying Archakas Their Due

In February 2025, the HR&CE Department issued a notice to the Lord Dhandayuthapani Temple in Madurai, prohibiting priests from collecting offerings made by devotees on plates. The department argued that since archakas receive a salary, all offerings belong to the temple and must be deposited into the hundi (donation box). This move sparked outrage among Hindus, forcing the department to retract the notice. However, this is not an isolated incident. Earlier in 2024, a similar directive was issued at the Kuzhandai Velappar Temple because of the allegations that priests at the temple were pressuring devotees to place their offerings on the Archanai plate instead of the hundi.

The question arises: why are archakas forced to depend on plate offerings in the first place? The answer lies in the shockingly low salaries they receive, often far below the minimum wage. The HR&CE’s justification for controlling offerings is not only unjust but also highlights the department’s failure to provide archakas with a livable income.

A Glimpse Into Archakas’ Struggles

The financial plight of archakas in Tamil Nadu is an open secret. While white-collar professionals advocate for higher minimum wages, archakas—who perform a highly skilled and spiritually significant role—are paid salaries that are not even “humanly”. Let’s look at some glaring examples:

Periya Nambi Narasimha Gopalan: The head priest of Sri Rajagopalaswamy Kulasekara Azhwar Temple in Mannarkoil, Tirunelveli, filed a writ petition in 2018 challenging the meagre salaries of temple priests. Despite serving for decades, his salary was a mere ₹750 per month, a significant increase from the ₹250 he earned earlier. Other priests in the region earned as little as ₹19 to ₹215 per month. Gopalan’s petition highlighted the HR&CE’s unjust rule limiting salaries to 40% of a temple’s income, which forces priests in remote temples to manage multiple shrines single-handedly. In April 2023, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court ruled in his favor, directing the government to ensure fair pay and benefits for temple staff.

Sowri Rajan Bhattar: For over six decades, Sowri Rajan and his father served as priests at the Varadaraja Perumal Temple in Ayyur, Tiruvarur, earning a meagre ₹100 and paddy. Despite their dedication, the temple fell into disrepair, and the HR&CE neglected restoration efforts. Sowri Rajan, now over 50, continues daily rituals at six temples without payment for four years. His 86-year-old father dreams of witnessing the temple’s restoration before his passing.

Ananthu Bhattar: A priest at the Thenthiruperai Divya Desam, Ananthu Bhattar has served for 22 years with unwavering devotion. His salary stagnated at ₹950 for 16 years, and he has never received official confirmation from the HR&CE. Despite his financial struggles, he continues to serve without complaint, rooted in the Bhagavad Gita’s principle of selfless duty.

Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Chennai: In 2021, it was revealed that 20 priests at this iconic temple were paid ₹650 per month, while the rest received no salary at all.

Meanwhile, temple funds were misused to purchase an Innova car for the Endowments Minister, with expenses like fuel, repairs, and insurance also borne by the temple.

Here’s another example of a temple priest who states that he is paid ₹28 per day! In this day and age, can anyone live a decent life with these earnings? Don’t archakas also have families to take care of?

Priest from Tamil Nadu: “We get a salary of only ₹28 per day and with that we are expected to perform all temple duties. If we ask for a salary increase we are told ‘ You are from higher caste, you have already lived well!’ “
by inIndiaSpeaks

These are just a few examples whose stories that have been narrated in social media. There are countless more examples whose stories would never be heard.

The HR&CE’s Misuse of Temple Funds

The HR&CE Department controls 46,241 temples in Tamil Nadu, including 43,712 Hindu temples. Of these, 34,725 temples have an annual income of less than Rs. 10,000, while only 586 temples earn over Rs. 10 lakh annually. Despite this vast network, the department has failed to ensure fair wages for archakas. Instead, temple funds are often misused for non-religious purposes, as seen in the Kapaleeshwarar Temple case.

The HR&CE’s rule limiting salaries to 40% of a temple’s income is particularly egregious. It disregards the fact that priests in remote temples often manage multiple shrines and perform duties beyond their job descriptions, including cleaning, security, and maintenance. This rule not only violates the Minimum Wages Act but also Article 21 of the Constitution, which guarantees the right to a decent life.

Why Plate Offerings Matter

The HR&CE’s attempt to control plate offerings is not just about money; it’s about dignity. When a devotee offers a plate of food or money to a priest, it is a gesture of gratitude for their service. Denying archakas this income is akin to denying a waiter their tips. As renowned Tamil news reader Shobana Ravi aptly put it, “God will not tolerate priests who are hungry.”

The comparison to a waiter is not meant to be demeaning – A waiter earns a set salary and keeps the tips left by customers. While archakas do not earn decent pay, why can’t they, who perform a far more specialized and spiritually significant role, receive the same treatment? Why must the HR&CE confiscate what devotees willingly give them as sambhavanai?

What The Govt Must Do

The plight of Tamil Nadu’s archakas is not just a religious issue; it is a labour issue. The HR&CE Department has no right to deny archakas their due or control their earnings. The matter belongs in labour courts, where the rights of these dedicated individuals can be upheld.

The government must:

Ensure Fair Wages: Archakas must be paid at least the minimum wage, with salaries commensurate with their skills and responsibilities.

Revise the 40% Rule: The arbitrary cap on salaries must be abolished, and temple funds should be used to support priests and temple maintenance.

Restore Autonomy: Temples should be allowed to manage their finances independently, with local communities playing a role in their upkeep.

End Misuse of Funds: Strict measures must be taken to prevent the misuse of temple funds for non-religious purposes.

The archakas of Tamil Nadu are not just employees; they are the custodians of our spiritual heritage and Hindu culture. It is time to honour their service with the dignity and respect they deserve. The HR&CE’s actions are not just an affront to the priests but to the millions of devotees who hold these temples dear. Let us stand together to ensure that those who serve the gods are not left to suffer in silence.

Kadhalikka Neramillai: The Casteist Dravidianist Fantasy That Deliberately Uses A TamBrahm Heroine For ‘Revolutionary’ Experiments

Kadhalikka Neramillaia lighthearted film on the surface that espouses the Dravidianist question of Is marriage really necessary?”

Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, the film has apuratchi pudhumai penn(a revolutionary modern woman) at its helm, and yes she is not a random girl, but a TamBrahm.

An analysis:

This rom-com has Shriya Chandramohan as its central character – she has a boyfriend, registers her marriage months before the engagement – (WHY?), drinks, has premarital fun, doesn’t know how to wear a saree, smokes after a breakup, etc.

In summary, a modern-day career-centric, jolly good woman. No issues. But is she arandommodern-day woman? Nope.

In egalitarian EVR (read Periyarist) land where there are no caste surnames, the film portrays her family as TamBrahms with no hesitation whatsoever.

Shriya finds out, days before herofficialengagement, that her legally wedded husband is cheating on her.

So, in a case of role reversal, she drinks, and tries smoking in an attempt to move on, likemen”. Her father is sort of cool with it. Her aunt (played by Vinodhini) jokingly hints at havingproperlysmoked before.

Just moments before, there’s a deliberate scene where the aunt calls Shriya’s fatherAthimber(a word used by Dravidianists to mock TamBrahms). But why this depiction of community is necessary? Read on.

Even though Shriya is modern and calls off her engagement, her family members are upset, and yes, they are rituals/Shastra-obsessedregressivefolks who think that education makes women arrogant.

The subtle implication: TamBrahm mamas would blame women’s education for becoming cultural degenerates.

Now it starts to make sense why her caste was represented transparently.

Dejected, Shriya just wants a kid without marriage, so she gets IVF treatment in Chennai, from an anonymous sperm donor (who is Jayam Ravi).

While pregnant, she uses her relative’s contact to break hospital rules (!!!), retrieves details about the sperm donor, and travels to Bengaluru to find out details about thedad“.

But it is a dead-end, as Jayam Ravi had faked his name and gave a fake address of a pub as his own. In Dravidaverse, this logic applies. Anybody can donate sperm by mentioning pub addresses as your own and the sperm banks don’t bother verifying at all. They don’t even verify your name. It is cinematic liberty certified by White Dwarf (pun intended), you see.

In a chance encounter at the Bengaluru pub, she meets Jayam Ravi (whose community is not mentioned) for the first time and his 2 friends – the gay Vinay called Sethuraman, (a half Malayali), and Yogi Babu – who is named Gowda. Just Gowda.

Implication: Why can’t you Kannadigas learn from the egalitarian TN?

In the real world, if a girl just meets a stranger guy and his 2 friends at a pub who offer dinner at the guy’s place, what would the girl do? Politely excuse yourself or…?

But no, Shriya is a happy-go-lucky TamBrahm woman – she not only goes to Jayam Ravi’s home with his 2 strange friends in a car, but she also dines at his place and gives a certificate for how good a fish Jayam Ravi’s dad has cooked.

Only if you believe all this will you get your 200 bucks. Will you eat it or…?

The second half cuts to 8 years later, where the independent, career-oriented single mom Shriya who lives with her aunt raises a boy child, admirably well.

In a happy coincidence, Jayam Ravi and Shriya’s paths cross again, where Jayam Ravi fills the missing dad role in the son’s life, without realizing that he’s his biological father. It all ends well with both Shriya and Jayam Ravi getting together without ever realizing their shared secret.

Sethuraman gets married to his male partner, in a Christian-style wedding (they also have a girl child – born of Sethu). But, in the very next scene, the straight Shriya says she doesn’t want amarriagewith Jayam Ravi, as their companionship suffices. Oh, the irony.

While on the surface this looks like afeel goodrom-com, it actually espouses the Dravidianist question ofIs marriage really necessary?– a question asked since EVR times, and repeated by Dravidianist ideologues like Vairamuthu, etc.

While they are free to make films espousing their ideology (however hypocritical/dangerous they may be), what is the need to identify the community of the heroine?

Irrespective of your political inclinations, ask this question: Why are all feminist, revolutionary women in Tamil films represented from this comm alone? Don’t Dravidianists have any admirable feminists among them? Asking this question is the starting point to understand Dravidianism and Dravidianists.

DMK MP A Raja’s Acquittal Under Scrutiny: Delhi High Court Sets Hearing Dates For CBI’s 2G Spectrum Case Appeal

On 14 February 2025, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed the Delhi High Court that its appeal challenging the acquittal of former Union Telecom Minister A Raja and 16 others in the notorious 2G spectrum allocation case is now ready for hearing.

Sanjay Jain, a senior advocate representing the CBI, requested Justice Vikas Mahajan to schedule several hearing dates due to the extensive records involved. “I urge the court to allocate a series of hearing dates,” Jain said. Acknowledging the request, Justice Mahajan scheduled the next hearing for 18 March 2025.

The 2G spectrum case, once considered one of India’s largest corruption scandals, took a dramatic turn in December 2017 when a special CBI court acquitted Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and 15 others in both CBI and Enforcement Directorate cases related to the alleged scam.

The CBI, which had estimated a massive loss of ₹30,984 crore to the public exchequer due to manipulated 2G license allocations in 2008, filed an appeal against the acquittals in the Delhi High Court in March 2018. The agency contended that the allocation process, conducted on a first-come-first-served basis, was manipulated to benefit certain companies. The Supreme Court had annulled the licenses in 2012, citing procedural irregularities.

In March 2024, the High Court admitted the CBI’s appeal, highlighting “contradictions” in the trial court’s judgment that required further legal examination.

During the height of the 2G spectrum case, a series of leaked tapes came to light, including conversations between DMK Member of Parliament A. Raja and former Intelligence Chief Jaffar Sait, as well as phone calls between political lobbyist Niira Radia and A. Raja. These conversations were recorded by the Indian Income Tax Department in 2008-09. In 2010, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) revealed they had obtained 5,851 recordings of Radia’s phone calls, some of which revealed her attempts to broker deals linked to the 2G spectrum sale. However, in 2017, a special CBI court acquitted Raja and others. Now, this reexamination of evidence has reopened the case, shedding light on the true scale of the 2G scandal, which continues to cause political headache for the DMK.

“I Am a Man of Faith, Prayer Teaches Me to Be Even-Handed” Former CJI DY Chandrachud Slaps Down BBC’s Stephen Sackur

The BBC has once again tried to undermine landmark judgements delivered by the Supreme Court over the past few years, especially those during the Modi tenure, in the latest interview with former CJI DY Chandrachud.

Stephen Sackur, on his programme HARDtalk, interviewed DY Chandrachud and Sackur comes across as an ill-informed interviewer asking questions based on leftist and anti-national viewpoints. Some of the topics he touched upon in the interview include Article 370 abrogation, Ram Janmabhoomi judgement, and the CAA. When one listens to the questions and the “observations” and opinionated, prejudiced comments that Sackur makes, the people he quotes, one can easily conclude that this is nothing but a hit job on the former CJI and the country. Whatever the case, DY Chandrachud very calmly responded despite having to sit across from Sackur who made clueless statements – something that shouldn’t have been the case given his experience as a journalist.

Sackur touched upon the Ram mandir judgement and said, “One more key judgement that you were involved in – your decision to give a green light to the building of a Hindu temple in Ayodhya on what was the rubble, the remains of a mosque that was destroyed in 1992. The decision you took resonated throughout the country, you said at the time that you had asked God for a solution to this mosque Ram temple dispute.”

Chandrachud called it ‘erroneous’ but Sackur continued to quote this alleged statement and said, “The quote is ‘I sat before the deity and told him he needs to find a solution.'”

Chandrachud dismissed the claim as “completely erroneous and incorrect,” asserting that it was a misrepresentation circulated on social media. “That’s what has been said on a part of social media, and let me clarify this again, as before, that this is completely incorrect,” he stated.

To this, Sackur shot back asking, “So you didn’t pray? Because you are Hindu, this seems to be an exclusionary act and you were saying in essence that you sought religious guidance as a Hindu to decide what to do in a court of law.”

However, Chandrachud maintained that his faith does not compromise his judicial impartiality. He said, “If you look at social media and you try and derive what was said by a judge from social media, you’ll get the wrong answers. What I said was this, I was asked specifically. I make no bones of the fact that I am a man of faith. Our Constitution does not require you to be an atheist to be an independent judge, and I value my faith. But what my faith teaches me is the universality of religion. And irrespective of who comes to my court, and I dare say that applies to other judges in the Supreme Court as well, irrespective of who comes to you as a litigant, you dispense equal and even-handed justice.”

Chandrachud continued, “Judicial creativity is not just about intellectual ability and skill. It’s also about perception. And we work in areas of conflict. We work in areas of intense conflict. Now, within that area of conflict, how do you find a sense of calm, of equanimity? Different judges have different ways to approach that need for calm and equanimity. For me, my time in meditation and prayer is very important. But my time in meditation and prayer teaches me to be even-handed to every religious group and community in the country.”

The Supreme Court’s judgment on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, delivered on 9 November 2019, paved the way for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The five-judge bench, which included Chandrachud, settled a case that had been in litigation for ages.

It is also noteworthy that the BBC received funding from USAID and also has indulged in smear campaigns against Hinduism, our national leaders such as PM Modi, Yogi Adityanath, etc. They even called the Mahakumbh a “bathing spectacle” led by “naked ascetics”.

Following backlash, they changed the title to read, “Ash-smeared holy men lead India bathing spectacle”.

Dravidianist Rag Vikatan Insults PM Modi Showing Him With Chains

The latest cover of Vikatan, a Dravidianist propaganda rag, has sunk to new lows in its relentless campaign to demean Prime Minister Narendra Modi and, by extension, the nation he represents. The cartoon, depicting a chained and somber PM Modi while a cheerful Donald Trump looks on, is not just a pathetic attempt at satire but a disgrace to journalistic integrity and national pride. This malicious portrayal stands in stark contrast to the reality of PM Modi’s highly successful visit to the United States, where he was treated with immense respect and admiration by President Donald Trump and the American media alike.

A Masterclass In Diplomacy

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the US was nothing short of a diplomatic masterclass. From the moment he arrived, it was evident that the relationship between India and the United States had reached new heights. President Trump, known for his tough stance on trade and negotiations, was effusive in his praise for PM Modi. In a rare gesture of respect, Trump even pulled out a chair for PM Modi during their meeting, a symbolic act that underscored the warmth and mutual regard between the two leaders.

The American media, often critical of foreign leaders, was unanimous in its praise for PM Modi. Describing his interactions with Trump as a “masterclass for other world leaders,” they highlighted how Modi deftly navigated the complexities of international diplomacy. This was no small feat, especially on a day when Trump announced sweeping reciprocal tariffs on US allies and competitors. Yet, PM Modi turned the bilateral meeting into an opportunity, securing significant agreements on trade, energy, defense, security, manufacturing, and technology.

Trump’s Unprecedented Praise

President Trump, who has previously called India a “tariff king” and a “massive abuser of tariffs,” was visibly impressed by PM Modi’s negotiating skills. At a press briefing following their hour-long bilateral talks, Trump was asked who the tougher negotiator was. His response was unequivocal: “He (PM Modi) is a much tougher negotiator than me, and he is a much better negotiator than me. There is not even a contest.”

This acknowledgment from a leader known for his hard-nosed approach to deals is a testament to PM Modi’s acumen and strategic brilliance. Trump also lauded Modi’s slogan, MIGA + MAGA = MEGA. The joint statement issued by both nations reflected the depth of the partnership, with agreements that promise to strengthen ties across multiple sectors.

Addressing Bangladesh and Global Terrorism

During the meeting, PM Modi and President Trump also discussed critical regional issues, including Bangladesh. Trump acknowledged PM Modi’s efforts in addressing the situation in Bangladesh, stating, “The Prime Minister has been working on this for a long time, and I will leave Bangladesh to the Prime Minister.” This statement not only highlighted PM Modi’s leadership in the region but also reinforced India’s role as a key player in South Asian geopolitics.

Additionally, Trump announced the extradition of one of the plotters of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks to face justice in India. This move was a significant win for India’s fight against terrorism and a clear indication of the strengthening security partnership between the two nations.

The Dravidianist Media’s Desperation

While the world celebrated PM Modi’s diplomatic success, the Dravidianist media, especially the likes of Vikatan, chose to peddle a narrative of subjugation and despair. The cartoon, which portrays PM Modi as a prisoner, is deeply disrespectful to the office of the Prime Minister and the nation he represents. It is a shameful attempt to undermine a leader who has consistently elevated India’s global standing.

This is not the first time the Dravidianist media has resorted to such tactics. Their agenda-driven reporting often seeks to belittle PM Modi’s achievements and sow discord among the people. However, their efforts have repeatedly fallen flat, as the public recognizes the transformative impact of Modi’s leadership both domestically and internationally.

A Stark Contrast: Respect vs. Ridicule

The contrast between how PM Modi was treated in the US and how he is portrayed by the Dravidianist media could not be more striking. In Washington, he was welcomed as a global statesman, a leader who commands respect and admiration. Back home, the Dravidianist media, unable to reconcile with his success, resorts to caricatures and false narratives.

The Dravidianist media’s latest attempt to tarnish PM Modi’s image is not just an attack on him but an insult to the millions of Indians who take pride in his accomplishments. It is time for such outlets to be held accountable for their malicious and misleading content. The public deserves media that celebrates India’s achievements rather than undermining them.

PM Modi’s US visit was a resounding success, a testament to his vision and leadership. No amount of distorted cartoons or biased reporting can change that fact.
