He had allegedly been in a long-distance relationship with this woman since 2018. Promising to marry her, he had duped ₹70 lakh from her. He had then cut all contact with her.

Vidja, had sent an e-mail to Prime Minister Modi on February 13 based on which the Ministry of Home affairs has ordered the Tamil Nadu Home Secretary to take necessary action in the case.

In the complaint she alleges that actor Arya alias Jamshad had cheated her ₹70 lakhs. She has said that the actor convinced her that he loves her and wanted to get married to her. Apparently, Arya’s had told her that he has some financial problems and sought her help. She had sent money to Arya’s managers (as directed by Arya) – Mohammed Armaan and Husseiny via Western Union, Money Gram & Ria Money Transfer at regular intervals. A total of ₹70.5 lakhs has been send to them from her in a span of 3 years.

“Arya and his  mother Jameela asked me for financial help, citing financial problems in the family. They wished me to be one in their family and to be a future daughter-in-law. After hearing that actor Arya had married Sayyesha, she realized that she had been cheated . When she asked to return her money, Arya had threatened to kill her and her family. She also alleged that Arya and his mother Jameela verbally abused her on multiple occasions. “She called my father ‘a Sri Lankan dog’ who moves from country to country because of war.

“He was already in a relationship during the show Enga Veettu Maappilai , and he told me that he only did the show because he was highly paid for it.” Vidja said.

“Actor Arya, cheated me and extorted money. I know that he has cheated many other girls and betrayed them. Court should take legal action against these four people, including his mother Jameela . I need justice” she added.

In this light, Arya’s manager Mohammad Arman had filed an anticipatory bail application in the Chennai Sessions Court in connection with the complaint. When the case came up for hearing last time, the police said that the complaint has been transferred from the Chennai Cyber Crime to the CB-CID.

When the case came up for re-trial again again before the First Sessions Court Judge Selvakumar, the plaintiff was represented by Advocate P. Anandan who argued against granting bail to Arman. But no counsel appeared on behalf of the defendant. Following this, Judge Selvakumar dismissed the bail petition of Arya’s manager Arman.

Stalin’s cabinet has no Ministers from Cauvery Delta region which gave a sweep to DMK

The absence of a single person from the delta districts in the DMK’s cabinet list has disappointed the people of region which gave a lot of seats to the DMK in the recently concluded Assembly Elections.

Along with DMK leader MK Stalin taking over as Chief Minister, 33 other Ministers took oath of office today. The DMK, which captured 15 of the total 18 constituencies in the delta districts, has given no ministerial berths to any of its MLAs elected from this region. All of the party’s senior executives in the delta districts seem to be dissatisfied with not even a single representation in the Cabinet. At the same time, those close to Stalin’s family have been accommodated in the cabinet despite their less age and experience.

The DMK’s seeming boycott of the delta has not gone down well with the party leaders and cadres of the region.

RaGa writes to PM Modi, says ‘complete lockdown inevitable’, questions efficacy of India’s vaccine again

rahul gandhi Indian democracy

As the country is grappling with the second wave of the Wuhan Virus,  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a list of suggestions one of which is calling for a complete lockdowon of the country.  He also raised doubts over the efficacy of made-in-India vaccines and asked him to share the study findings with the world.

Rahul Gandhi also said the government’s failures in containing the pandemic have made “another devastating national lockdown almost inevitable”. This is the second letter he has written to the PM after the second wave of Covid-19 hit India.

“Your government’s lack of a clear and coherent Covid and vaccination strategy… has placed India in a highly dangerous position,” Gandhi said.

By writing this letter, Rahul Gandhi has again questioned India’s ability to develop an indigenous vaccine. When Bharat Biotech announced it has developed Covaxin, the Congress party went all out to question its efficacy and in that process create doubt in the minds of average Indians.

In his letter to the PM Gandhi said, “The pandemic has demonstrated that our size, genetic diversity and complexity make India fertile ground for the virus to rapidly mutate, transforming itself into a more contagious and more dangerous form. The double and triple mutant strains that we are currently grappling with are only the beginning, I fear,”.

Meet Shyam Baba, the prisoner who is involved in cremating COVID victims

A prisoner from the state of Madhya Pradesh has been released on bail and is helping in burying COVID victims. Shyam Baba, originally from Madhya Pradesh, was convicted of murder in 2009 and was recently released from prison on bail.

Shyam Baba, who saw the daily death toll from the coronavirus as he was released, began to assist in burying the bodies in a local cemetery in Thar district, 60 km from Indore. Shyam Baba volunteered to perform the funeral rites for the corpses of the corona victims as the family was reluctant to perform the funeral rites due to the risk of infection as it was necessary to follow some strict procedures to carry out the last rites of the corona victims.

Shyam Baba, who currently spends most of his time in the cemetery, is involved in unloading bodies from ambulances, stacking bodies and performing funeral rites for bodies as and when required. The prison administration, which saw Shyam Baba’s commitment during the pandemic, has ordered his bail to be extended for another two months at his request.

However, he said he was concerned about such deaths and prayed to God that a pandemic like this should not happen again soon. Hemendra Singh Banwar, a social activist, praised Shyam Baba for coming out of jail on parole and engaging in such social service during the Corona outbreak last year.

Jharkhand CM tweets about his conversation with PM, stirs row

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren took to Twitter and took jibe at Prime Minister Modi on Thursday saying that the PM shared his ‘mann ki baat’. He went on to say that the Prime Minister did not listen to his point of view on the pandemic and went on to accuse him of not prioritising the welfare of the country. This blew up overnight and resulted in triggering a lot of hate tweets against the Prime Minister.

Her tweet read, “Has it really come to this now? In a pandemic when PM @narendramodi calls up a CM to enquire about the COVID situation in the state this is what a CM says? Is propriety dead? Is respect/courtesy extinct? Petty posturing more imp than human lives? PM abused for helping? Shocking.” News18’s Amish Devgan also took Navika’s side and commented that politics had stooped to a new low.

Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal came under criticism after violating official protocol. He had live broadcasted the meeting that the PM had held with the Chief Ministers of all the states.

As per observations made by India at the LAC China continues to maintain a big force and has witnessed plenty of activity in the past couple of days as the PLA can move forces must faster to the LAC due to better road connectivity and associated infrastructures supporting its logistics.

Talks after talks between senior military commanders have failed as the Chinese side did not agree to pull back troops at patrolling posts 15, 17 and 17A in the Hot Springs-Gogra-Kongka La areas.

A statement from India said that both sides agreed to resolve issues. “It was highlighted that completion of disengagement in other areas would pave the way for two sides to consider de-escalation forces and ensure full restoration of peace and tranquillity and enable progress in bilateral relations,” the statement read.

“The two sides agreed on the need to resolve the outstanding issues in an expeditious manner in accordance with the existing agreements and protocols,” a statement by the Defence Ministry read.
