
BJP Tamil Nadu in-charge Ram Madhav has reportedly hailed Chief Minister Vijay’s rise to power, saying that the formation of a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government in Tamil Nadu is a favourable development for the BJP, as per a Junior Vikatan report.

According to reports, Madhav instructed BJP functionaries to conduct booth- and mandal-level reviews, identify weak booths and work towards strengthening them. He also reportedly advised party members against discussing internal matters in public and creating unnecessary controversies.
As part of the BJP’s programme to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public service, the party’s youth wing is set to organise rallies across Tamil Nadu on October 7. Party functionaries have reportedly been instructed to carry lamps during the rallies.
Madhav also reportedly discussed the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Chennai on October 11 for the inauguration of the Poonamallee–Vadapalani Metro Rail project. Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay are expected to travel by Metro from Poonamallee to Porur as part of the programme.
The BJP is reportedly planning receptions for Modi at four locations in Chennai during the visit. Madhav is said to have instructed party workers to ensure that the BJP’s reception for the Prime Minister is a major show of strength.
Ram Madhav Reportedly Hails Vijay’s Rise
During a meeting with senior party functionaries, Madhav also reportedly commented on the rise of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and Chief Minister Vijay.
According to the report, he said that the formation of a TVK government in Tamil Nadu was beneficial to the BJP and claimed that it had opened a “new chapter” by displacing the established Dravidian parties.
Madhav reportedly said that if the DMK were to finish third in an upcoming by-election, it could severely weaken the party.
He is also reported to have said Vijay had accomplished what the BJP could not and that his becoming Chief Minister was a favourable development for the BJP.
