Edappadi K. Palaniswami launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government over the alleged deterioration of law and order in Tamil Nadu.
In a strongly worded statement, the AIADMK general secretary questioned whether the Chief Minister would “utter even a single word” about what he described as Tamil Nadu turning into a “bloodbath.”
Palaniswami urged the State government to immediately restore law and order and accused the administration of failing to address rising violence and public insecurity.
“If you have even a little concern for the people who voted for you, take action,” he said while addressing the Chief Minister.
The former Chief Minister also alleged that intimidation and “rowdyism” by ruling party members had continued unchecked under the present administration. He claimed that government employees were being threatened and criticised what he described as the ruling party’s “arrogant behaviour.”
Further attacking the government, Palaniswami accused the TVK administration of indulging in “Instagram Reels diversion politics” instead of focusing on governance and public safety.
He also took aim at Chief Minister Joseph Vijay for allegedly avoiding the media, stating that Tamil Nadu still had “a Chief Minister who is unable to face journalists and meet the press.”
Repeating his criticism, Palaniswami again questioned whether the Chief Minister would speak at all about the worsening law and order situation in the State.

The AIADMK leader’s remarks come as the state grapples with back-to-back incidents of violent crime and growing criticism from opposition parties regarding the handling of law and order by the newly formed TVK government.
