Security tightened for Ajit Doval as intel reveals he is target for Pak extremist groups

Security and surveillance at the office of Ajit Doval, the Secretary for National Security, have been beefed up following intel inputs from a captured militant of a threat targeting Ajit Doval’s life.

After the precision attack and the Balakot air-strikes that taught Pakistan a lesson, Ajit Doval remains the target of Pakistani terrorist organizations.

In this context, Jaish militant Hidayatullah Malik, who was caught last February in Jammu and Kashmir, had said that he had spied on Ajit Doval’s office in the high-security ring and videotaped the security arrangements. Following his arrest, Malik made a startling disclosure and told interrogators that on the directions of his Pakistani handler identified as ‘Doctor’, on May 25, 2019, he had recorded videos of important installations at New Delhi, including Doval’s office. The militant also claimed to have used secret codes, names and phone numbers of 10 people from Pakistan. It was also found that Malik is a categorised terrorist from the Shopian district and is the Chief of Lashkar-e-Mustafa, which is an offshoot of Jaish-e-Mohammad in the Kashmir valley.

It is to be noted that Ajit Doval is one of the most protected persons in the country and the threats to his life have increased ever since the Balakot airstrikes and the Uri surgical strikes.
