SDPI and DMK members clash in Coimbatore

A clash has broke out between cadres of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and that of DMK, in a region called Kottaimedu in Coimbatore, two days ago. This had happened just two days in advance of the local body polls, that is currently happening across Tamil Nadu.

The news was shared along with a video on Twitter, where members of the SDPI party, holding the SDPI flag and other party symbols, are seen thrashing members of the DMK, at ward 82. The DMK has now alleged that the SDPI attempted to assault the DMK candidate contesting from that ward, and therefore the violence.
