Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) leader Kamal Haasan, while campaigning in Puducherry lost his cool when his  microphone stopped working. A video of the incident is doing the rounds on social media.

In the video, the frustrated and angry actor-turned-politician can be seen throwing his party symbol, the torchlight, forcefully at someone inside his campaign vehicle. Haasan has been carrying around a torchlight in his political campaigns and rallies.

With the video now going viral, netizens are taking jibes at Haasan for his temper tantrum.

A first-time politician, Kamal Haasan will be contesting his maiden electoral election from Coimbatore South, while his Makkal Needhi Maiam, a three-year-old party, will be facing the seasoned national parties of BJP and Congress.

The BJP has fielded the national president of Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan and the Congress has fielded Mayura Jayakumar for the Coimbatore South constituency. Jayakumar had emerged as the runner up in Coimbatore South in the 2016 polls.
