‘Journalist’ Rosy Who Accused Delhi Police ACP Of Harassment Is Cockroach Party’s ‘Coverage Coordinator’

‘Journalist’ Rosy Who Accused Delhi Police ACP Of Harassment Is Cockroach Party’s ‘Coverage Coordinator’

During the unrest caused by Cockroach Party members in Delhi, a woman alleged that she was sexually harassed and molested by a policeman. It has now been revealed that the woman is not journalist but a Cockroach member herself.

Rosy, the woman making the allegations, presented herself as an independent journalist and accused Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat of misconduct. But Rosy herself is a CJP coverage coordinator, according to the organisation’s own social-media posts.

Rosy had alleged that ACP Bhagat misbehaved with her and touched her inappropriately while she was covering the detention of AISA activist Neha Bora during the October 3 protest at Jantar Mantar.

Cockroach Party founder Abhijeet Dipke amplified the allegation on X, describing Rosy as a “female ind journalist” and demanding action against ACP Bhagat. CJP co-convenor Saurav Das also publicly backed Rosy and accused Delhi Police of shielding the officer.

However, Rosy’s claimed identity as an independent journalist has come under question after her association with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was highlighted.

Rosy Listed As CJP Coverage Coordinator

CJP had publicly introduced its social media team in September, with Rosy listed among its coverage coordinators. Her association with the organisation therefore predates the October 3 confrontation involving ACP Bhagat.

Her social-media activity also shows repeated engagement with CJP figures and activities. She has publicly posted about CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, including a July post thanking him for his hospitality and describing their interaction as an “inspiring conversation”.

Rosy has also appeared alongside CJP leaders at events and protests. Photographs circulating from the controversy show her with CJP co-convenor Saurav Das, while her online activity has included content promoting or supporting CJP-linked narratives.

She has described herself as a Cockroach supporter in previous videos on her profile.

The connection becomes particularly relevant because Dipke himself presented Rosy as an independent journalist when amplifying her allegation against ACP Bhagat.

Allegation Against ACP Bhagat Amplified By CJP

Rosy alleged that she was recording the detention of Neha Bora when ACP Bhagat allegedly touched her inappropriately and pushed her away.

Dipke subsequently demanded Bhagat’s immediate arrest, while Saurav Das accused the Delhi Police of protecting the ACP and demanded that an FIR be registered.

Delhi Police has said that three complaints relating to the October 3 confrontation were received and transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation.

At the same time, several videos of the confrontation have circulated online. The videos publicly available so far do not show ACP Bhagat touching Rosy or otherwise corroborate the specific act she alleged. Some footage instead shows protesters confronting and pushing or heckling women police personnel during the confrontation.

AI-Generated Visuals Also Circulated

The controversy was further complicated by the circulation of visuals purportedly showing the alleged incident.

Delhi Police subsequently flagged at least one widely circulated visual as AI-generated/manipulated, specifically warning that the purported CCTV image was fake.

In the end, it is exposed that this Rosy is neither an independent journalist nor was she molested as claimed.

She is a Cockroach herself and falsely claiming that she was harassed by the police officer.
