Citizens of Nepal hold protests against Chinese encroachment of its territories in Humla district

After unleashing the Wuhan virus pandemic on to the world China is now taking advantage of the crisis by trying to grab more territories of other countries. While India has been resisting its expansion on Eastern Ladakh, China seems to have occupied large swathes of land inside Nepal. Protests have broken out in Nepal over the occupation of its land by China. Nepalese youth raised slogan in front of the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu against the construction made by China on encroached land in Humla district of Northern Nepal.

The protestors flashed banners with slogans like “Go Back China” and “Back off China” and shouted the slogans of “Down with Chinese Imperialism”, “Return the Encroached Nepali Land” and so on.

This protests will create huge problem for the Nepal Prime Minster KP Sharma Oli who is seen as a Chinese stooge.

As Nepal falls deeper into Chinese debt trap, China resorted to same tactics of expansion by claiming new territories as its own and has carried out construction work on it.

Chinese Embassy spokesperson in Kathmandu Wang Xiaolong claimed that China has the evidence and the documents to show that the land belongs to it.

China has reportedly erected 11 building on the Nepalese territory of Humla. However, all the buildings are unoccupied except one building in which Chinese forces are living.

Nepali Prime Minister Oli who involved in a tussle with India over so called encroached territories has not said any thing  with regards to Chinese encroachment on Nepalese territory.
