Tamil Nadu BJP Functionary Hacked To Death, Miscreants Threw Bomb At His Car And Stabbed Multiple Times

PPG Shankar (42), a BJP Tamil Nadu functionary was hacked to death by miscreants when he was travelling in his car to his home on the night of 27 April 2023.

Shankar hails from Valarpuram area next to Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram district. He was the President of Varapuram Panchayat Council and the State Treasurer of BJP Tamil Nadu Scheduled Caste wing.

On Thursday morning Shankar had come to Chennai and went home at night in his car with the driver. His car was cornered near Nasarathpet signal on the Chennai – Bengaluru highway when a mysterious gang hurled a country bomb at the car, causing damage to the entire front part of the car.

Knowing that his life was in threat, he got out of the car and ran on the road to survive. The men who were in hiding chased Shankar, massacred him to death, and later fled the spot.

Police later arrived at the crime scene and are investigating the motive behind the brutal murder.  They are examining the surveillance camera footage from the area and searching for the killers. A special team has been formed to nab the killers.

PPG Shankar’s brother (some reports say friend) PPG Kumaran, who was Sriperumbudur’s union councilor and a businessman was hacked to death by rowdies in the same manner (with bombs thrown and armed gang hacking to death) in October 2012.

It is said that PPG Shankar was planning to take revenge on Vairam from Kunradthur area who was involved in the assassination of PPG Kumaran and hence Vairam’s supporters preemptively killed him. The police are also investigating this angle.

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai expressed shock and condemned the brutal murder of PPG Shankar calling it yet another instance of Tamil Nadu’s law and order going for a toss.

BJP Tamil Nadu State Secretary SG Suryah said that if a man is being killed by hurling bombs in the middle of the road, it shows the incompetence of the police that is under MK Stalin’s control.

ED Raids TANGEDCO Officials, ₹360 Crore Lying As FD In SIC Seized

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated on Thursday that it searched multiple locations in Chennai belonging to officials of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) and South India Corporation (SIC), a Chettinad Group group company.

The ED said in a statement that a total of ₹360 crore was recovered during the raids. The searches were carried out last Friday, and the locations included the former director (coal) of TANGEDCO, government officials, and key management personnel of SIC and Western Agencies (Madras), according to the ED.

“Various incriminating documents, digital evidence, property documents, and ₹360 Crore lying as fixed deposits in the accounts of South India Corporation were seized during the searches,” the Enforcement Directorate said.

The investigation was opened in response to an FIR filed by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption in Chennai alleging fraudulently defrauding TANGEDCO, a PSU of the Tamil Nadu government, by claiming excessive payments for coal transportation from the Visakhapatnam port totaling hundreds of crores.

This loss to TANGEDCO occurred in collusion with TANGEDCO officials between 2001 and 2019. The initial six-month tender was extended for a period of 19 years due to an injunction petition filed by one of the related parties.

Apart from TANGEDCO, searches were carried out at a number of locations associated with Chennai-based Chettinad Group as part of an anti-money laundering investigation. The group is involved in a variety of businesses, including cement manufacturing, logistics, and construction, among others. The group’s offices in Chennai, Trichy (Tiruchirappalli), and a few other locations were raided. In December 2020, the Income-tax Department searched the company and claimed to have discovered tax evasion totaling more than Rs 700 crore.

Hypocrisy Much? How DMK Govt Has Pushed Aadhaar Aggressively Than BJP Govt

The DMK which opposed linking Aadhar to various schemes when the BJP government at the Centre pushed for it, is now pushing Aadhar aggressively for state government schemes. This article is intended to call out the double standards of the MK Stalin-led DMK.

M.K. Stalin, who was then the opposition leader, opposed the plan to link the subsidy for cooking gas cylinders to Aadhaar in 2016 and claimed it would be difficult for the poor, particularly women.

Not only did he oppose the move to link Aadhar with central government schemes when he was in opposition, but also Chief Minister MK Stalin had recently opposed the Election Commission’s move to link Aadhar with voter ID to weed out multiple votes for a person.

However, after assuming power the DMK government under MK Stalin’s leadership has vigorously used Aadhar than the BJP for various state government schemes. Here is a list of state schemes that the DMK government under MK Stalin has made Aadhar mandatory.

Labor welfare and skill development department

This department is administering the welfare schemes to the unorganized workers of Tamil Nadu which are being implemented through the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security Welfare Board and 15 other Welfare Boards. The department has made Aadhaar mandatory for an individual eligible to receive benefits under the schemes. The notification is dated September 1, 2021.

Health and family welfare department

According to the DMK government notification dated 25th October 2021, any person registering end-stage organ failure patients waiting for cadaver organs in the Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu registry will be required to produce Aadhar. Also, an Aadhar card is compulsory for the transfer of wait-listed patients from one hospital to another and the registration of deceased organ donors.

Social welfare and women empowerment department:

According to the notification of the DMK government dated 16th November 2021, the beneficiaries of schemes like Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS), Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS), Differently Abled Pension Scheme (DAPS), Destitute Widow Pension Scheme (DWPS), Destitute / Deserted Wives Pension Scheme (DDWPS), Chief Minister’s Uzhavar Padhukappu Thittam (CMUPT), and Pension to Poor Unmarried Women of age 50 years and above (UWP), who receive a sum of Rs.1,000/- per month is required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication.

Adi Dravidar and tribal welfare department

The SC/ST students getting State Post Matric Scholarship, those getting free education up to Post Graduate level (Women) belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Caste students converted to Christianity students are required to furnish Aadhar details according to the notification of DMK government dated 1st December 2021.

Tamil Nadu health systems project

On February 11, 2022, the DMK government made Aadhar mandatory for Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme Integrated with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

Backward classes, most backward classes, and minorities welfare department

The department has made Aadhar mandatory for various schemes like Free Education Scholarships to Degree Level, Free Education Scholarships to Polytechnic Level, and Free Education Scholarships to Professional Level for BC, MBC, and Denotified Community students based on a notification dated March 23, 2022.

Labor welfare and skill development department

As per the notification dated 30th May 2022, the department mandates Aadhar for Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Welfare Scheme.

Youth welfare and sports development department

Notification dated 31st May 2022 made Aadhar mandatory for the following schemes:

Special Scholarship for Elite Sportspersons (ESP),
Special Scholarship for Mission International Medal Scheme (MIMS),
Special Scholarship for Champion Development Scheme (CDS),
High Cash Incentive to the medal winners in the National and International level competitions,
Prize Money to the first three winners in the State Games for Chief Minster’s Trophy,
Prize money to Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu competitions,
Cash Award to Chief Minister’s State Sports Award
Cash Award to Chief Minister’s State Youth Award

Agriculture and farmers welfare department

Aadhar has become a requirement for 19 programs run by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, including the National Agriculture Development Programme (NADP), the National Food Security Mission (NFSM), and the National Mission on Edible Oils-Oil (NMEO). The notification was dated 8/6/2022.

Social welfare and women empowerment department

Notification dated 19th October 2022, made Aadhar mandatory for the following schemes under the department:

E.V.R Maniyammaiyar Memorial Widow’s Daughter Marriage Assistance Scheme
Annai Theresa Memorial Orphan Girls Marriage Assistance Scheme.
Dr. Dharmambal Ammaiyar Memorial Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme.
Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Memorial Inter-caste Marriage Assistance Scheme.

On 29th July 2022, the DMK government made Aadhar mandatory for the registration of birth and death. In addition, various schemes under the different ministry have made Aadhar mandatory to become the beneficiary of the scheme. The most recent example is where Aadhar is linked with electricity connection in Tamil Nadu.

It is worth noting that except for the GST amendment, in which Aadhaar was required for GST registration, all notifications issued to date have been by bureaucrats and have not involved any sort of interaction with the assembly.

This demonstrates how hard the DMK government has pushed for the integration of state government programs with Aadhar.

Puthiya Tamizhagam Chief Dr Krishnasamy Urges DMK Govt Not To Discriminate When Providing Ex Gratia

Puthiya Tamizhagam Chief Dr. Krishnasamy questioned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on the discrimination in giving Ex-Gratia amount and urged CM MK Stalin to give Rs 10 lakhs to each of the families who lost their lives in the Munnar incident.

In a statement released on 27th April, Dr. Krishnasamy said, “On April 22, 2023, three people from the Manoor area of Tirunelveli district died on the spot in a vehicle accident in Munnar, Kerala state. More than 20 people were seriously injured. Two of the treated patients died. They are all from poor, simple agricultural labor families.”

He added, “We have requested that ₹10 lakhs be distributed from the Chief Minister Relief Fund to the families of the five people killed in the incident. Even after nearly a week, the government is yet to provide the Ex Gratia amount to the families.”

The victims of the accident include 55-year-old Janaki, 59-year-old Perumal, and his 79-year-old mother Valliammal, 8-year-old boy Suseendran and 4-year-old Susilendran.

Dr. Krishnasamy further added, “When two people died in a fire 5000 km away in an Arabian country, the Tamil Nadu government announced a ₹10 lakh compensation. The Tamil Nadu government has the responsibility to assist Tamils regardless of where they belong to. The government, which compensated the families of those who died in the fire accident in Arabia, should also compensate the families of those who died in the Munnar incident.”

He ended by saying, “Furthermore, no government should act in a discriminatory manner. It is, however, in no way appropriate not to compensate the five Tamil families who may have been pushed into poverty as a result of the Munnar vehicle accident last week. This demonstrates that the government acted discriminatorily. Therefore, I reiterate that ₹10 lakhs should be given to the families of the victims who died in the Munnar road accident as soon as possible.”

It is worth noting that the DMK government has given the family of VAO Loorth Francis, who was killed by the sand mafia in Thoothukudi, an Ex Gratia amount of 1 crore. However, the family of D Lakshmanan, deceased army personnel who died in an August 2022 terrorist attack in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, received only 20 lakhs.

SC Lawyer Who Helped Child Rapist Firoz Says “Upanayana” Ceremony Is Unconstitutional And A Criminal Offense

Controversial Supreme Court lawyer Nitin Meshram who appeared for child rapist has been facing backlash for a tweet in which he said that Upanayana ceremony must be made a criminal offense as it violates the Indian Constitution.

Nitin Meshram was responding to a tweet of a Twitterati named Rupa Murthy who had shared a picture of her son’s Upanayana ceremony.

Upanayanam is a Hindu ritual in which a boy is invested with the sacred thread (poonool/janeu) and is initiated to receive Vedic education thereby starting his brahmacharyasrama, the first ashrama of an individual’s life.

It is not just performed by Brahmins but many other Hindu communities.

Responding to the above tweet, Nitin Meshram wrote that “Upanayana violates Articles 15 and 17 of the Constitution and must be made a criminal offense.”

He said that “the moment someone is declared Brahmin, the varna and caste hierarchy begins to reincarnate, which violates the principle of equality under Article 14.”

He went on to even recommend 3 years of rigorous imprisonment and ₹3 lakh.

https://twitter.com/nitinmeshram_/status/1650831131426816001

Many on social media lashed out at the lawyer for his insensitive and outrageous comment.

Pankaj Saxena, Co-founder and Director of Culture Research at Brhat said that Nitin’s tweet incites hate against Brahmins and urged authorities to take action.

A few others pointed out if he has the galls to go after circumcision ceremony of Muslims since it also professes discrimination against non-Muslims.

This is not the first time the radical leftist has courted controversy.

Earlier, he boasted on Twitter that had obtained stay on the death penalty of a child rapist named Firoz and even justified it when critics of the infamous judgement lashed out at him.

Mohamed Firoz had raped a 4-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh in April 2013. The trial court had awarded a death sentence to Firoz. However, it was  commutted to a life imprisonment by the Supreme Court saying “every sinner has a future”.

On the other hand, this same Nitin Meshram had advocated death sentence in a similar case where the accused was a Pandit.

“The Kerala Story”: Gripping Trailer Minces No Words In Calling Out Islamic Terrorism

The trailer of the much-awaited movie ‘The Kerala Story’ is out. Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the story is about the plight of several of thousands of girls from India particularly from the state of Kerala who have been converted and trafficked to the Islamic State regimes in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

The film claims to be based on true events that happened in Kerala. The story traces the life of the protagankst Shalini Unnikrishnan who becomes Fatima Ba and ends up as an Islamic State terrorist in Afghanistan.

“Rather than knowing when I joined ISIS, it is more important to know why ans how I joined ISIS sir”, the protagonist tells Indian security agencies with subsequent shots showing grooming and conversion of gullible non-Muslim women by Islamists.

The trailer also shows unapologetically how fanatic Islamists indulge in forceful conversion by degrading other religions.

“Only Allah runs the word. Only Allah.”, a hijab-clad friend of the protagonist says in one scene.

In another scene, a Muslim man can be seen instigating Muslim youth to target and isolate the girls from their family, develop physical relations to make them pregnant and later convert them.

The film is slated for release on 5 May 2023 worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu.

The problem of radicalisation in Kerala is nothing new. It has been often spoken about, but successive governments have buried the issue and pretended as though everything is perfect. This movie seems to shed light into this issue.

In an old speech, former Kerala Chief Minister, V S Achuthanandan is heard saying that the plan of the Popular Front of India is to make Kerala a Muslim state in the next 20 years. The movie trailer also speaks about the plight of thousands of girls and claims that many have been trafficked to the Islamic State and other Islamic war zones in the past 10 years.

In July 2018, a case was registered against two persons for helping accused Muhammad Riyaz convert a woman and attempting to take her to Syria and sell her off as a sex slave. The lady alleged that she was forced to attend a training programme at a Madrasa in Bengaluru. She also said that she got to know that Riyaz was planning on selling her off as a sex slave in Syria. She also said that Riyaz had received money from unidentified sources following her conversion.

3 Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants Nabbed In Tiruppur To Be Deported, Court Orders

Three Bangladeshi nationals, who were staying in Tiruppur without proper documents, have been ordered to be sent back to their home country.

Mohammed Kabir Hussain(34), Mohammed Azad Mia(28) and Mohammed Rishad Mullah(29) were arrested by Tamil Nadu police during a regular patrol in the Tiruppur district, last year. They were residing in Kuppaiyankadu near Anupparpalayam and were working in the neighbourhood. They were caught because they didn’t have any documents to justify their presence.

Police booked them under the Foreigners Act and lodged in Central Prison in Chennai. The case was heard by the Tiruppur district court which has ordered authorities to deport the 3 Bangladeshis.

Thier arrest was reported by The Hindu, last year. The report says, ‘The three men on the street started running after seeing the police. When they were caught and inquired, they confessed to the police that they were immigrants from Bangladesh and working in a garment company in Tiruppur without proper documents such as passport and visa”.

Tiruppur being a textile district, has become a safe haven for illegal immigrants as it attracts people from all parts of the country in search of employment. Bangladeshis who enter India illegally, obtain government-issued identity documents with the help of agents who arrange for their passage and gobble up resources meant for Bharatiyas. They easily pass themselves off as residents of West Bengal and indulge in crimes. In February, TN police issued a security alert after Bangladeshis who illegally entered Bharat holding legit passports and other documents obtained through illegal means.

The security alert was issued after a majority of them were caught indulging in criminal activities. A police officer in the know of the things informed The Hindu that “A majority of the illegal immigrants are in the 20-35 age group and vulnerable to brainwashing by extremist elements. It is possible that they could be recruited by terrorist organisations to execute their evil designs”.

In January, a Bangladeshi national trying to pass off as a Bharatiya was caught by immigration officials at Coimbatore airport. He had a valid passport and Aadhar card, but officials became suspicious as the address mentioned in both documents was in Kolkata. He gave contradictory answers during the investigation and was caught when the officials asked him to sing the national anthem. He illegally entered Bharat through West Bengal and worked in TN as a tailor till 2020. Later he went to UAE and returned to Coimbatore with the hopes of settling down in the state.

PM Modi’s Development Push And Christian Outreach In Kerala Is Bound To Jitter Commies And Congies In Kerala

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Kerala hopes to utilise the Prime Minister’s visit as a launch for an outreach drive targeted at attracting young and the Christian community in Kerala. After a roadshow in Kochi, the PM visited a youth development project called Yuvam 2023, which the BJP thinks would be a game changer in Kerala politics. The Prime Minister’s meeting with church leaders, on the other hand, would be the most politically significant event. According to the BJP, the outreach programme has been well welcomed, with numerous members of the Christian community lately joining the party and more reportedly coming to join even before the PM’s arrival. Apart from the Christian outreach the PM himself is setting the tone for development push in God’s own country in a scale never seen before. The deadly combo of outreach to Christian community and the promises of development in a stagnant political landscape is expected to mark a shift in Kerala politics which has been dominated by only LDF and UDF until now and this change might put the Left and the Congress in the state in a tricky political position.

BJP’s Christian Outreach

BJP’s outreach to Christian community making significant strides. On the eve of Modi’s visit in a Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that it was not the first time that church leaders were meeting the PM. While speaking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram, he said that after Modi became PM in 2015, many church leaders had met him in Kochi when he arrived in the state to go to Thrissur. BJP is slowly and steadily increasing its presence among the community.

BJP’s outreach campaign received a shot in the arm when a senior Bishop Thalassery archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany of the influential Syro-Malabar Catholic Church said that if the Centre promised to increase the rate of rubber procurement to ₹300 per kilogram, the party’s dearth of an MP from the southern state would be addressed. Subsequently, the visits to Christian priests by BJP leaders increased in number.

As portrayed by ‘Left-Liberal’ media outlets BJP is a Hindutva party working to establish a Hindu nation. The tag of ‘exclusive party’ has been a burden for BJP since its emergence. But a chain of electoral victories in minority community dominated areas, including the recent elections is helping the BJP to shed its anti-minority tag. The election results were declared for Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland has been significant in this direction. These are states having significant Christian community population; Meghalaya- 75% Christians, Tripura- 5% Christians, Nagaland- 88% Christians. In India, North East (28%), Kerala (19%) and Goa (25%) have a significant Christian population. Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal, and Goa are states with significant Christian populations in India. In all these states BJP is in power in coalition or on its own. In Kerala BJP is poised to shake the age-old structure of LDF-UDF rule in the state.

Then, there are electoral and population realities behind the coming together of Christian community in Kerala and the BJP. According to the 2011 Census of India, Christians make up approximately 18.4% of the population of Kerala. However, the population of Christians in Kerala has been stagnating in recent years, with only a slight increase in their proportion of the total population since the last census in 2001. One of the main factors contributing to the stagnation of the Christian population in Kerala is a low birth rate. According to the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) conducted in 2015-16, the total fertility rate (TFR) among Christian women in Kerala was 1.6, which is below the replacement level of 2.1.

This means that the number of children born to Christian women in Kerala is not enough to replace the existing population, which is leading to a decline in their overall numbers. In comparison, the TFR among Muslim women in Kerala was 2.3, which is higher than the TFR among Christian women. This has led to a higher growth rate of the Muslim population in Kerala compared to the Christian population. According to the NFHS-4 data, the Muslim population in Kerala grew by 12.8% between 2001 and 2015-16, while the Christian population grew by only 1.5% during the same period. This trend is expected to continue, with projections indicating that the Muslim population in Kerala will surpass the Christian population soon. With almost 30% of the total population the Muslim population is growing faster than both Hindu and Christian community. The population arithmetic in Kerala is generally creating rumblings with in the Christian community.

Hindu electorate in Kerala is politically ambiguous as their vote is split between hardcore communism and traditional loyalty to Congress but that might also change soon as Christian community will help the BJP build an identity base in Kerala as an agent of change. Kerala Congress, representing interesting of various Christian communities is currently supporting the LDF government, but there is general dissatisfaction with the government, the LDF’s overtures to Muslim League to join LDF is also causing disturbances within then Christian community. The remarks by Pala Bishop not so long ago on ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Narcotic Jihad’ and concerns of Christians regarding growing Islamic extremism in Kerala is also fuelling Christian community’s tilt towards the BJP.

Stagnant ‘Kerala Model’ Wrapped In Lavish Expenditure, Corruption, And Terrorism

The Left government is on its 2nd leg, throughout their 7 years continuous rule of Kerala the LDF government has demonstrated how to not rule a state.  The reign of the 2nd Left Democratic Front (LDF) government started with controversy. The swearing in ceremony of the government was conducted physically during the peak of the second Covid wave which devastated the country and the newly sworn in government excluded famed health minister of Kerala K.K. Shailaja who had won with a record margin (more than the Chief Minister). The new cabinet excluded everyone except the reigning Chief minister. This was a symbolic example of what was to come as it consolidated the all-mighty hold of Pinarayi Vijayan’s left government over the state government. Kerala is a top achiever in the field of education and human development blessed with bounty of natural resources. But continuous ignorance of necessities and misplaced priorities of ruling dispensation is hurting the prospects of the state in the future.

Around 6 million Keralites are working abroad making the economy largely dependent on remittances from foreign nations. This is due to lack of development in the state. If a sector wise comparison is analysed agriculture only contributes towards 12% of State GDP, while industry contributes 23% and services contributes 66%. The booming service industry is mainly fuelled by consumption rather than wealth generation. This is true if we consider the fact that a staggering 4.2% of the revenue of Kerala’s budget comes from liquor sales. The employment scenario in the state is also weak which has fuelled migration to abroad at a staggering rate, with 12.5 percentage of labour force being unemployed Kerala stands as one of the worst performers in employment indices in India.

But the ruling dispensation remains blind towards the reality and continues to fill their coffers in an unabated manner. For example, in 2019-20, the government had spent ₹34.79 crore as salary and travel expenses for the personal staff of ministers. A total of ₹7.13 crore was spent on pension to retired staffers and ₹1.79 lakh as gratuity. A comparison with 2013-14 shows that the spending on the salary and travel expenses of the personal staff of ministers rose by 25.30% in six years. Of this, the salary and other benefits of the CM’s personal staffers recorded a whopping 190.61% increase. The pension expenses doubled — from ₹3.53 crore in 2013-14 to ₹7.13 crore in 2019-20.

Factoring in the long-life expectancy and periodic revision in salary and pension, this burden is set to increase steeply in the coming years. The staggering rise in these expenditures comes in the backdrop of precarious financial situations and mounting debt of the state. “As per the Fiscal Responsibility Act of Kerala, 2011, sustainable debt level is estimated to be 23% of GSDP. During 2019-20, Kerala spent 75.6% of borrowed money for revenue expenditure while 20.13 per cent was spent for repaying past borrowings. Only 3.85 per cent of the borrowed money was used for capital expenditure. Kerala, along with Punjab and Rajasthan, was classified as a ‘very high debt ratio state’ in the states of growth report by Crisil in 2019. These were the only states where the debt-to-GSDP ratio had exceeded 30 per cent. An opinion can mislead and lie but data remains truthful and all the data sets of importance point towards collapse of famed ‘Kerala-Left Model.’

A state in grip of communal forces like SDPI, PFI etc, a state in which employment opportunities are scarce and a state in which ruling dispensation shows utter disregard towards governance stares at an uncertain future. To summarise the state of governance in Kerala it is worth noting an important parallel between the real state of Kerala and a village called Kerala in Gujarat. When asked about the difference between the State of Kerala and the village a villager candidly remarked, “They have education, but we have employment and development.” And this rings true considering the sorry situation in Kerala. The BJP’s is hoping to address these grievances.

Indications Of Changing Political Landscape

During his recent visit PM Modi inaugurated slew of developmental projects worth more than 3,200 crore and the development push coupled with outreach to Christian community is expected to help the BJP in making a dent in Kerala politics. The growth of BJP is still in the nascent stage in Kerala. For example, in the last assembly election BJP lost its sole seat in Kerala due to chronic mismanagement by local leadership. The Kerala BJP leadership is tying down the ambitions of the party. If the BJP really wants to make a dent in Kerala politics, along with the outreach to minorities and development projects, the Kerala BJP unit shall change from within taking cue from Annamalai’s transformational work in Tamil Nadu. In any manner the BJP is making slow and steady gains in the state and PM’s push will indeed add to its momentum.

PTR Calls Leaked Audio Fake But Sings Paeans For Stalin, Udhayanidhi And Sabarisan

In what seems to be a desperate bid to save his job, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan denied the authenticity of the second audio clip released by state BJP president K Annamalai on Tuesday, calling it an attempt to sever ties between him and Stalin’s family.

After showing a few “deepfake” videos of Barack Obama, Donald Trump and BJP leader Manoj Tiwari, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PTR stated, “If such authentic-looking videos can be machine-generated, imagine what all can be done with audio files. I strongly and specifically deny it. I have not said to any individual, personally or on the phone, at any point in time, what is contained in the audio clip circulated on social media since yesterday, the source of which nobody accepts ownership for. The state president of BJP has descended to posting audio of somebody telling nobody about some others. This is the base level of his politics.”

However, PTR for the most part of the video sang praises about MK Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin and MK Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarisan.

Praising MK Stalin, the DMK Minister stated, “Under the leadership of our honorable Chief Minister MK Stalin, we have delivered record-breaking, innovative, and compassionate administration for 2 years since we came to office. What we call the Dravidian Model of governance. To achieve this lofty goal, we have brought in major financial reforms and we achieved it in 2 years which was not attempted in the past decade. The results are also superior to what the union government has achieved in the last decade. A direct comparison will show the true worth of the Dravidian Model. Certain forces are unable to digest these achievements. So they are indulging in using advanced technologies and cheap tactics such as releasing fabricated audio to disrupt our good work.”

Praising MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi, PTR said, “Our Hon’ble Chief Minister is not only the guiding light of Tamil Nadu but the hope of our country. Hon’ble Sports Minister Udhayanidhi is our hope for the next generation, who has received a great reception from the Tamil people. Of the many who urged his elevation to the state cabinet, based on his appeal as a youth icon, I was the foremost. His outstanding performance as the minister has surpassed all our expectations. He is also a hands-on and grassroots-level administrator, very much keeping up with the style of the Hon Chief Minister. He is making Tamil Nadu the center of attention of the international sports world. how is it possible that I could say anything negative about this outstanding performer.”

PTR further added, “Similarly, all the ministers in the `Dravidian model’ government are working as a cohesive team to achieve spectacular results. Why would I say anything negative about any of them?”

Praising Sabarisan, son-in-law of CM MK Stalin, PTR said, “From my first day in public life, Mr Sabarisan has always been my most trusted advisor and my pillar of support. Even opposition parties have not laid accusations on Thiru Sabarisan and Thiru Udhayanidhi. Therefore such fabricated audios are being created to cast aspirations on them.”

PTR ended by saying, “There is a desperate attempt by a blackmail gang to achieve their political ambitions by creating a rift within us. Such cowardly attempts will never succeed. From the inception of the DMK, we have always lived as one movement, one party, and one extended family and we will always continue to do so.”

Earlier, in the alleged audio clip of PTR, he says “I have been a long-time proponent of one man one post from the day I entered politics. It is what I like about the BJP. Who looks after the party, who looks after the people, separate those.. right?”

He further goes on to abuse his own partymen saying “Here every (beep) district secretary wants to be an MLA and Minister. Who looks after the party? Inaudible.. Ohh. it’s easier to do money management… it is not a system.. They are taking the bulk of the spoils..”

“The party which is the CM’s son and son-in-law, ask them to make the financing.. right? So I decided after watching this for 8 months.. This is not a sustainable model. The great luxury for me if I put my papers in.. In the short term, I get out before the shit starts blowing up in their face. I have the like.. kind of.. what do you say.. cleanliness of my conscience that I did not have to like it wasn’t I gave up the fight too early.. I don’t have to say it..
