Israel Bans UN Chief Guterres From Entering Country

Israel on Wednesday declared UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres persona non grata and banned him from entering the country for his failure to “unequivocally condemn” Iran’s missile attack. “Today, I have declared UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata in Israel and banned him from entering the country. Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil,” announced Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Israel Katz, late Wednesday afternoon.

With the first anniversary of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel just a few days away, Katz slammed the United Nations chief for failing to act against the terror organisations. “This is a Secretary-General who has yet to denounce the massacre and sexual atrocities committed by Hamas murderers on October 7, nor has he led any efforts to declare them a terrorist organisation. A Secretary-General who gives backing to terrorists, rapists, and murderers from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and now Iran—the mothership of global terror—will be remembered as a stain on the history of the UN,” the Israeli Foreign Minister wrote on X.

He added that Israel will continue to defend its citizens and “uphold its national dignity, with or without Antonio Guterres”. The UN Secretary General had on Tuesday said that he is “extremely concerned” with the escalation of the conflict in Lebanon and appealed for an immediate ceasefire. Guterres said that an all-out war must be avoided in Lebanon “at all costs”, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon must be respected.

He posted another message on X a few hours later when Iran attacked Israel with nearly 200 missiles on Tuesday night. “I condemn the broadening of the Middle East conflict, with escalation after escalation. This must stop. We absolutely need a ceasefire,” said Guterres.

Elect BJP Govt To Protect ‘Roti, Beti, Maati’: PM Modi Urges People Of Jharkhand

Elect BJP Govt To Protect 'Roti, Beti, Maati': PM Modi Urges People Of Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asked the people of Jharkhand to bring the BJP to power in the state to protect their “roti, beti, and maati” (livelihood, daughters, and land). Addressing the Parivartan Maharally in Hazaribagh, he termed the BJP’s Parivartan Yatra not as a mere political campaign, but as a movement to safeguard the state’s future, and promised security for Jharkhand’s daughters, land, and livelihoods under a BJP-led government.

“The BJP guarantees that the safety of these three will be ensured if the government is formed here. A new dawn will descend in Jharkhand with today’s Parivartan Sabha,” he said.

PM Modi criticised the current Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government, accusing it of hindering the state’s development. He blamed the Congress-JMM-RJD alliance for rampant corruption and mismanagement, claiming it has betrayed the very people who voted for them in the name of protecting the state’s natural resources.

“Everyone here knows that the ruling coalition has allowed unchecked loot of water, forest and land. Jharkhand will progress only when this government is thrown out of power. BJP’s Parivartan Yatra is not only a political movement, but a Sankalp Yatra to fulfil the dreams of the people,” he said, accusing the Soren government of siphoning off funds intended for tribal welfare programmes.

PM Modi also attacked Jharkhand’s Abua Awas Yojana and Maiya Samman Yojana, labelling them corrupt schemes designed to deceive the public ahead of elections.

“The people of Jharkhand have to be careful of those who sell lies,” he said. Taking aim at the Congress, PM Modi accused the party of neglecting tribal communities while favouring a single family for decades. “Congress did not give importance to the tribal society which made big contributions in the freedom struggle. All the schemes were brought in the name of the members of a single family. Such family-oriented thinking has caused immense harm to the country. Today I am proud that our government has given full respect to the tribal heroes. We all lovingly call Lord Birsa Munda Dharti Aaba. Today, in his name, our government has started ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’,” he said.

PM Modi also raised concerns about the state government’s failure to deliver on promises, such as providing jobs and allowances for youth and women. He alleged that paper leak scandals have severely impacted the state’s youth, with exam papers being sold under the protection of the government, enriching a select few while ruining countless young lives. He urged the people to reject the current government and embrace the BJP’s vision for a prosperous, corruption-free future.

Prashant Kishor Launches Jan Suraaj Party, Sets ‘Humanity’ Its Core Ideology

Prashant Kishor Jan Suraaj Party

Political strategist Prashant Kishor launched his new political party, Jan Suraaj party, on Wednesday with ‘humanity’ as the ‘main ideology’ and quality education as the ‘supreme goal’. Addressing a large gathering, he noted that people had been curious about when his ‘Jan Suraaj’ campaign would officially form a political party. With the Election Commission’s recognition of Jan Suraaj as an official party, he took the opportunity to present his vision for Bihar’s future.

Prashant Kishor said, “This party is a collective movement, representing all communities – Dalits, backward classes, Hindus, and Muslims.” He claimed that the gathering signifies the commitment of people from every background to develop a state that had been neglected by traditional political forces. “People gathered here are focused on restoring the historic pride of Bihar,” he added. He addressed a key question on the party’s ideology, stating that “humanity” will be the core principle, drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, and B.R. Ambedkar. “’Humanity First’ is Jan Suraaj’s guiding philosophy,” he said.

Prashant Kishor also emphasised that the goal is to see Bihar so developed that people from states like Haryana and Gujarat come to Bihar seeking employment. He also questioned the current state of Bihar’s leadership, saying, “What is the way forward? Leaders come here and demean each other without any blueprint for Bihar’s development.” He shared his experience of travelling during the Jan Suraaj campaign, creating awareness among people to choose leaders who would work for the future of their children. “Jan Suraaj’s top priority will be on quality education for children,” he said. He urged people to think about their children’s future, stating, “How many times have you voted for the education and employment of your children? Education quality and employment were never prioritised in Bihar because you never voted for these things.” He alleged that the people, for the greed of 5 kg of cereals, voted for PM Modi. “Loot was done, but cereals were given. The Ayodhya Mandir was built, but no factories or hospitals were built in Bihar,” he said.

He said that many people voted for Lalu Yadav, and during his reign, there were no roadways, electricity, or water. ‘The poor and backward communities were promised progress and respect. Did they get it? Yes, but were their basic needs fulfilled,” he said. He further acknowledged that under Nitish Kumar’s reign, electricity reached every village, though citizens now face issues with smart meters. He also noted that many people voted for PM Modi, seeing the work he did in Gujarat, where he established factories by leveraging funds from across the world. “Biharis are working in these factories, but what matters is the reason for which you vote,” Prashant Kishor added. Kishor asserted that his focus is not just on rhetoric but on actionable plans: “I am not just speaking about development; I am discussing the strategy as well.” He reminded the audience that when people voted for a temple, it was built. When they voted for electricity, it came. “But none of you voted for the education of your children, and that is why no one provided it to Bihar.” His key question to the people was: “Do you care about the future of your children or not? According to scholars, only through education, land, and wealth can poverty be eliminated.”

He pointed out that Bihar lacks all three: “If you look clearly, Bihar has none of these. In the name of education, children go to school for khichdi (mid-day meals) and then leave. In colleges, degrees are being sold for money. Bihar needs quality education, and Jan Suraaj will invest in and prioritise improving education.” Prashant Kishor proposed a significant investment plan to improve Bihar’s education system: “If Bihar’s education is to improve, ₹5 lakh crore is required over the next 10 years. If we lift the ban on alcohol, it will generate revenue that can be used to build the education system, instead of filling the pockets of politicians.”

“Jan Suraaj is not just daydreaming but showing you the way with a blueprint, and we will make Bihar a state with quality education. When education is promoted, it will lead to many other developments,” he added.

KT Rama Rao Behind Naga-Samantha Separation, Says Telangana Congress Minister

KT Rama Rao Behind Naga-Samantha Separation?

On Wednesday, Telangana’s Forests and Environment Minister Konda Surekha alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President, KT Rama Rao, was responsible for actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu calling their marriage off.

Launching a scathing attack on the BRS leader, the minister told the media that KT Rama Rao was behind many actresses leaving films and marrying early.

She claimed that KT Rama Rao was addicted to drugs, and he blackmailed film personalities. The Congress leader suspects the BRS leader was behind a recent offensive post against her.

She claimed that, in the instance of the BRS leader, the party workers made an offensive social media post against her. She said such a derogatory post against a woman from a Backward Class was very unfortunate.

The minister said derogatory posts were also made against Minister Seethakka and Greater Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi. Stating that she worked in the BRS for five years, Konda Surekha said everyone knows her character.

The minister said she had complained to those who posted derogatory comments against her. Earlier, Konda Surekha turned emotional at a press conference while discussing the online abuse she faced following an incident involving BJP leader and Medak MP M Raghunandan Rao.

Raghunandan Rao had placed a garland of handwoven cotton around Surekha’s neck during a recent programme and this triggered a series of derogatory posts on social media. She slammed BRS leaders for allegedly using the incident to demean her, stressing that their comments had blatantly disregarded her gender.

“These BRS leaders are worse than animals, trolling women without any decency. Would they have reacted the same way if it were Kavitha,” she asked, referring to BRS MLC, K. Kavitha, who is KT Rama Rao’s sister. “KTR, you have a sister too, don’t you? Would you have accepted such trolling when she was in jail?” she questioned.

She also demanded an apology from BRS senior leader T Harish Rao, as the accused had been using Harish Rao’s photo as a display on social media platforms.

“Can A Hindu Be In A Church Committee?”, AP Dy CM Pawan Kalyan On Why He Advocates For Hindu-Only Temple Administration

Andhra Dy CM Pawan Kalyan Begins 'Praschit Deeksha' Over Animal Fat In Tirupati Laddu Prasadam

Drawing parallels with religious exclusivity in Christian and Islamic institutions, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has stirred fresh debate with his pointed remarks, questioning why non-Hindus are involved in temple administration. In a candid interview with Thanthi TV, Kalyan compared the situation to the Church, asking if a Hindu could serve on a church committee.

Pawan Kalyan Interview With Thanthi TV

The impurity in the Tirupati Laddu prasadam controversy is just cooling down, but Jana Sena leader’s strong statements are still echoing among the public. Against this backdrop, Thanthi TV aired an interview with Deputy CM Kalyan, and the entire interview had him spit facts and truths on temple administration.

When asked about why only Hindus should administer temples, Kalyan said, “If you go to the Vatican, there will not be a single Hindu. If it is a Catholic there, there will only be Catholic believers there. If you go to any Seventh-Day Adventist, only members from that sect of Christianity will be there. It is so clear. If you go to a Sunni masjid or a Shia masjid, so many subdivisions are there, and each masjid will have its own group. It is not even run by within Muslims also, within Christians also, each place will have only its members. They say only they know about that faith. A Catholic guy will know better about his own system and not someone else, forget about other religions.”

Kalyan continued, “What has happened in our country is, there are Christians and Muslims. It is not about Christianity or Islam. The fundamental question is do you let it happen to a masjid or a church? Can a Hindu be in a Church’s committee? When it comes to decision-making there, can practicing Hindus be a part of the committee? Will they allow it?

Here, it is a government job. We’ve been speaking to Lord Balaji’s devotees. What they say is not to bring people of other religions into the temple administration; it is hurting our sentiments.”

The interviewer then asked about Sanatana Dharma being accommodative of all streams of thought and whether it would not apply in this case. Pawan Kalyan replied, “That is 100% right. But only when I show my love and affection. But to interfere in your puja. You have a puja room, if I go to a masjid dressed like this (points to his saffron robes), do you think they will allow it? Only when it comes to Hinduism, you talk about secularism.”

The interviewer then says it is about belief, that KJ Yesudas’s bhakti is greater than his own, and that we cannot look at him as a Christian; that belief is subjective. Pawan Kalyan replied, “That is not wrong. I respect that. KJ Yesudas is a greater Hindu than anybody else. Yes, we do not see him as a Christian. Yes, belief is subjective, but do you allow it in another place? Agama Shastra says certain people know their job better than anyone else. See it as a way of functioning. Me being a Hindu, can I understand the requirements of a Muslim devotee, it better be a Muslim.”

Dalit Woman’s Funeral Procession Not Allowed On Common Road By Police In Tiruvannamalai Citing Potential Law & Order Problem

Dalit Woman’s Funeral Procession Not Allowed On Common Road By Police In Tiruvannamalai Citing Potential Law & Order Problem

In Mothakkal village, Thandrampet taluk of Tiruvannamalai district, authorities halted the funeral procession of a 56-year-old Dalit woman on Monday, 30 September 2024, preventing it from passing through a common path shared by both Dalits and caste Hindus in the area. The deceased, T. Kiliyammal, had died in Chennai the day before, and her body was brought back to her native village for cremation.

While the SC (Scheduled Caste) community members decided to use the common tar road for her funeral, breaking from the customary mud road historically used by Dalits, local officials intervened, citing possible law and order issues. Permitting them could have resulted in unnecessary law and order problems, an official source told The New Indian Express. However, it was noted that the Hindus in the village had not raised any objections regarding the use of the common route.

Dalit villagers expressed frustration, stating their request to use the common path was reasonable. We have been using the customary route for generations. We requested the authorities to use the common path this time, but police and revenue officials stopped us. This is unacceptable, said a resident from the SC community in Tiruvannamalai.

The deceased’s body was eventually taken along the customary mud road and cremated later that night without any incidents.

Boycotting Dalits – Not New To Village

In 2023, in the same village, Dalits faced systemic discrimination, particularly about accessing barber services. Out of approximately 5,000 residents, 150 families belong to the Dalit community. Dalits reported being denied haircuts by all four barbers in the village, who allegedly face pressure and threats from the upper caste Vanniyar community. One barber shared that after serving Dalit customers, he was threatened, forcing him to comply with caste dictates for fear of losing his livelihood.

Dalit students in the village also were said to face discrimination at school. As reported in TNIE, one student noted that teachers criticized their hairstyle, forcing them to shave their heads, while non-Dalit students were not subjected to the same treatment. Additionally, a teacher allegedly tore a photo of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar from a student’s belongings, with the justification that no images of caste leaders are allowed.

Further, caste-based segregation extended to the use of separate tumblers for Dalits and upper caste members, a practice that persists despite repeated complaints to local authorities. Dalits also faced exclusion from the village panchayat office located in their area, with upper-caste villagers refusing to enter the premises. A new panchayat office was built in response to pressure from dominant castes.

There were also reports of bias in the distribution of government welfare schemes. Dalit students received defective bicycles under a government scheme, and many have dropped out of school due to persistent discrimination. Despite these complaints, local officials, including a school’s headmaster, denied discrimination.

Who Is Sonam Wangchuk? Engineer, Activist, Or A Two-Bit Deep State Stooge?

Sonam Wangchuk hial hunger strike

Sonam Wangchuk has been in the news every now and then. Last we heard; he was fasting unto death. But just a day or so ago, he and his supporters were embarking on a march to Delhi, aiming to urge the Indian government to reopen discussions regarding their demands. Central to their petition is the request to include Ladakh in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution, which would grant greater autonomy and protection to specific tribal regions. This inclusion is said to be essential for better resource management in the area. However, the Delhi Police detained him at the Singhu border.

But who is Sonam Wangchuk? Is he the character portrayed by Aamir Khan in the film 3 Idiots? Or is he someone else?

As per media propaganda, Sonam Wangchuk is an Indian engineer, innovator, education reformist, and climate activist, and the movie ‘3 Idiots’ was based on him. But there are a lot of things that the media didn’t and won’t tell you. Read on…

In Three Idiots, they told you that Rancho was a son of poor Gardner but in real Sonam Wangchuk comes from a very powerful and influential family His father Sonam Wangyal was a Congress leader and Minister in the J&K govt.

In 1988, he started the Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh. In 1995, he started a project, Operation New Hope. All his projects were funded by the Ford Foundation, Tata Trust, Dan Church Aid, and Karuna Trust. He always received huge support from foreign organizations. We wonder why.

In the late 80s or early 90s, he met an American lady named Rebecca Norman and they got married in 1996. We don’t know why this story of Rebecca Norman has been completely erased by the media. We do not know if they remain married today. But after meeting Rebecca, Sonam’s life changed completely.

Rebecca earned her bachelor’s in International Studies degree at the School for International Training (SIT) and a master’s in Education from Harvard University. SIT, is a private non-profit regionally accredited institution headquartered in Brattleboro, US. It has a close connection with the State Department.

SIT is funded by the Ford Foundation, the George Soros Open Source Foundation, and the B&MG Foundation. Additionally, Rebecca is a close supporter of Biden also and a huge critic of Donald Trump.

After marrying Rebecca, Sonam suddenly started getting huge support from foreign organizations. In 2002, he received the Ashoka fellowship which is funded by the Skoll Foundation, Schwab Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation.

In 2004, Manmohan Singh became the Prime Minister of India. Sonam always received special patronage from the Congress party. He was appointed to the Drafting Committee of Ladakh Hill Council Vision Document Ladakh 2025 and entrusted with the formulation of the policy on Education and Tourism in 2004.

The document was formally launched by Manmohan Singh in 2005. In 2005, Wangchuk was appointed as a member of the National Governing Council for Elementary Education in the Ministry of HRD in Manmohan Singh Govt.

From 2007 to 2010, Wangchuk worked as an education advisor for Mellemfolkeligt Samvirk, a Danish NGO working to support the Ministry of Education for education reforms. He received a lot of patronage from the puppet Manmohan Singh government (Sonia Gandhi government). In 2008, Congress signed a secret MoU with China.

China’s popular Hero Amir Khan’s movie 3 Idiots gets released. That film was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. But after some time, one section of the media suddenly started to link this movie with Sonam Wangchuk. The truth is that there is no connection between 3 idiots and Sonam.

Sonam’s best time starts in 2016. In 2016, he received the International Fred M. Packard Award, awarded by the Switzerland-based International Union for Conservation of Nature. This award is funded by Rockefeller, Pew, Packard Foundation, etc.
In 2017, he received the TN Khoshoo Memorial Award which is again funded by the Ford Foundation.

In 2018, he received his biggest award – the Magsaysay Award. We already know the link between Magsaysay, Ford, and the CIA in our Ford Foundation thread Magsaysay Award is especially given to CIA assets

Sonam is associated with an NGO LEAD India which is again funded by … no prizes for guessing…. Ford Foundation!

Sonam is also associated with the International Association for Ladakh Studies which published a four-volume book on Ladakh culture. This project was funded by the Ford Foundation, and it seems there is a special connection between Sonam, the CIA’s Ford Foundation, and Congress.
Earlier he supported the repeal of Article 370 but later he became unhappy with the repeal of Article 370. Pakistan used his statement against India.

He calls himself a climate activist and education reformist. His project Ice Stupas was appreciated by Western media, but his own villagers raised doubt about it.

Currently, he is demanding to add Ladakh to the 6th schedule of the constitution which is not possible because the 6th schedule is only for Northeast states. His other demand is to stop construction activity by the Indian army in Ladakh because it may hurt the climate of Ladakh.

This article is based on an X thread by The Chronology.

Return Of MUDA Sites By CM Siddaramaiah’s Wife Will Be Strong Proof: Activist & Petitioner Krishna

MUDA Scam By CM Siddaramaiah and petitioning Activist Krishna

Snehamayi Krishna, one of the petitioners who brought attention to the alleged irregularities in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), leading to a political storm in Karnataka, says his objective is to reclaim thousands of sites worth Rs 5,000 crore that were illegally allocated by the authority.

Krishna is the complainant in the FIR filed against CM Siddaramaiah by the Karnataka Lokayukta and in the Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

In an interview with IANS, Krishna maintained that attempts were made to imprison him to prevent him from approaching the High Court, and he is prepared to face any consequences that may arise in the future.

IANS: The MUDA case involving CM Siddaramaiah is being investigated by both the Karnataka Lokayukta and the ED based on your petitions. What is your reaction?

Krishna: I am happy with the way things are unfolding. This development is a significant victory for our struggle.

IANS: Now that CM Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathy has returned the sites in question to MUDA, how do you think the case will proceed?

Krishna: It’s a positive development. Until now, they had maintained that they wouldn’t return the sites. By returning them, they are essentially acknowledging the illegal allotment of sites by MUDA. This will serve as strong evidence in the case.

IANS: How long did you spend gathering material and documents for the MUDA case?

Krishna: I spent three months collecting documents related to the MUDA scam. I also received documents from others and used them to file the complaints.

IANS: Initially, your allegations against CM Siddaramaiah were dismissed. Now, with court rulings in your favour, how do you view the recent developments?

Krishna: I proceeded with the battle, supported by proper documentation. Some people initially didn’t understand the case or the evidence we gathered. However, the court has now clearly pointed out the illegalities and the supporting evidence in the MUDA scam. I have more evidence to prove my claims.

IANS: CM Siddaramaiah has said that the MUDA scam doesn’t attract money laundering charges, which are being investigated by the ED. What are your thoughts on that?

Krishna: The sites, which are worth crores, were taken by making payment of a mere Rs 1,000. The Mysuru Deputy Commissioner mentioned this in his letter to the government. I filed a complaint with the ED to investigate the Rs 5,000 crore scam involving the illegal allotment of land by MUDA, using the site allotment to CM Siddaramaiah’s family as an example. I’ve called for a comprehensive investigation by the ED.

IANS: The BJP has demanded security for you. Do you feel you need protection?

Krishna: I don’t need security right now. I don’t trust the Mysuru Police Commissioner, who holds his position due to the Chief Minister’s favour. The police don’t seem inclined to ensure my protection. I requested protection and made a written submission on August 18, 2024, even asking for a gunman. However, if they provide security now, it will be problematic for me. The authorities are already sharing my call details and tracking my movements. I also don’t fear physical assault from the Chief Minister’s supporters, as they now seem convinced of the legitimacy of the MUDA scam allegations and have stopped making statements against me.

IANS: You come from a middle-class family. How is your family supporting you?

Krishna: My family was initially very emotional, fearing that I was endangering my life by challenging the Chief Minister. However, they are now convinced. I’ve reassured them that my struggle is for the greater good, and they’re supporting me.

IANS: Don’t you feel threatened?

Krishna: I follow Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. If you have a clear goal and honesty, you’ll naturally receive support. God will guide and support you, and that’s exactly what happened in my case. Support comes automatically when you pursue a righteous cause with determination. It’s like tasting the sweetness only after chewing the sugar.

IANS: What about the police cases filed against you?

Krishna: There was a plan to send me to jail on false charges to derail my efforts in the MUDA case. The intent was to prevent me from approaching the High Court. These attempts will likely continue, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m imprisoned. The system in our country operates this way. There should be action taken against the filing of false cases. Unfortunately, the police often collaborate with those in power in such circumstances.

IANS: The BJP has been supporting you. How do you feel about their backing?

Krishna: I’m thankful for their support. It’s the duty of a political party to extend their help to someone who is fighting against systemic corruption.

Geert Wilders Presses For Emergency Law To Restrict Asylum Influx

Geert Wilders Presses For Emergency Law To Restrict Asylum Influx

Dutch far-Right Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders, who is leading the largest partner in the four-party ruling coalition, intensified pressure on the government for emergency legislation to curb the influx of asylum seekers, hinting that the coalition could collapse if his demands are not met.

Speaking to Dutch media on Tuesday in The Hague, Wilders stressed that the coalition parties, which include his PVV, the New Social Contract (NSC), the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), and the Farmer-Citizen Movement (BBB), had already agreed on the need for emergency measures in their coalition agreement.

“I hope that people realise that this has not only been agreed but that there is also very little room to manoeuvre for us,” Wilders said.

“If we do not get emergency legislation, then the government will have a problem. I do not know whether we will continue happily for much longer.” In the coming weeks, the Dutch government is set to discuss potential emergency measures related to asylum policy. The PVV is pushing for the Cabinet to declare “exceptional circumstances” to curb the influx of asylum seekers, Xinhua news agency reported.

This issue has heightened tensions within the coalition, particularly with NSC, which is sceptical that the government can provide a sound legal justification for invoking emergency powers, a requirement for their support. While NSC hesitates, Wilders insists that an emergency law must be passed, regardless of the obstacles.

While Wilders ramped up pressure on the government, he stopped short of explicitly threatening to bring down the coalition if his demands weren’t met. However, he later took to X to reiterate his stance.

“The Netherlands is crying out for drastic measures to restrict the asylum influx,” Wilders said on X. “Our country is in danger of becoming one big asylum centre.” “We have made agreements in the coalition, including emergency measures. The whole of the Netherlands sees that the Netherlands is in an asylum crisis. If NSC ducks out again, they will destroy this Cabinet,” he said.

Five Arrested For Drug Smuggling In Chennai

Narcotics Smuggling Racket Busted At Chennai Port, 112 Kgs Drugs Seized

The Greater Chennai Police on Wednesday arrested five individuals on the charges of selling drugs near the Koyambedu market.

The police said that the five were involved in the sale and distribution of narcotic pills to college students and other youngsters in Chennai city and suburban areas.

A total of 49 narcotic pills, Rs 17,400 in cash, a button knife, a machete, a weighing machine, five mobile phones and an expensive motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Acting on a tip-off, Mohandas (24), a salon worker, was arrested by the Koyambedu Police, and on interrogation, he informed about his four accomplices. The team led by Sub Inspector Yuvraj arrested Vijay, an accomplice of Mohandas and also the drug carriers, Ganapathi, Santhosh and Lokesh – all students.

On interrogation, the accused said that they buy the drugs in bulk from Mumbai and sell the contraband in retail packs among the college students of Chennai and surrounding areas. The accused, according to the Koyambedu police, also frequently travelled to Andhra Pradesh to procure ganja and used to sell it to college students and young professionals.

The Greater Chennai Police said that during interrogation, the accused revealed information about drug syndicates in the city and adjoining districts like Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram.

Police officials told IANS that the Greater Chennai Police will be cracking down on all organised drug syndicates in Chennai to make the city narcotics-free. It may be noted that since IPS officer A. Arun assumed office as Commissioner of Greater Chennai Police, the Police Department has been criticised for “encountering” hardcore criminals.

Arun replaced Sandeep Rathore after Tamil Nadu BSP president K. Armstrong was brutally killed near his residence by bike-borne assailants on July 5. Thiruvengadam, one of the main accused in the Armstrong murder case was killed in an encounter with police. In September, history-sheeter Kakkathoppu Balaji was killed in an encounter with the police and 10 kg ganja was seized from his possession. Another criminal involved in the distribution of drugs, Raja, was killed in an encounter with police in September.
