Shocking: Posters of illegal Bangladeshi Muslims wishing for Miladi-un-Nabi spotted in Hyderabad

Posters erected by Bangladeshi Muslims wishing for Miladi-un-Nabi were found near MRO Office in Saroornagar locality in Hyderabad.

Noting this, the locals have registered a complaint at Police station and appealed to the authorities to investigate the matter and punish the law breakers.

After police took cognizance of the complaint, the banner heading was changed from ‘BANGLADESH YOUTH’ to ‘MIYA BHAI YOUTH’.

#VaccinationCentury: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says it is a matter of pride for all Indians and govt deserves credit

In a rare show of solidarity and appreciation, Congress party leader Shashi Tharoor said that the credit should be given to the government and this is a matter of pride for the entire country after the cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country surpassed the 100-crore milestone on Thursday (October 21).

“This is a matter of pride for all Indians. Let’s give the Government credit. After severe mismanagement of the second #Covid wave & botching the vaccination orders that might have prevented it, Govt has now partly redeemed itself. It remains accountable for its earlier failures,” Tharoor said in a tweet.

According to the data from CoWin portal, a total of 100 crore vaccine doses has been administered so far to the eligible population under the vaccination drive in India which means around 75 per cent of India’s all eligible adult population has been administered at least the first dose.

However, the government will now concentrate on ensuring that the second dose is administered on time and as of now just over 31 per cent of people have received both doses of the vaccine.

It is truly remarkable for a country like India to achieve this record because it took 85 days to touch the 10-crore (100 Million) vaccination mark, and 45 more days to cross the 20-crore mark and 29 more days to reach the 30-crore mark, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

Since then India as a nation as gone from strength to strength in ensuring its citizens are vacinated and also now the number of Covid infection and deaths have come down drastically.

As India crosses 100 crore vaccination mark, WHO calls on India to resume supply of Covid Vaccine

fake coronavirus vaccines

After haranguing India on the importance of not cutting any corners with regards to the issue of the emergency use listing of Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin, the World Health Organisation (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on the resumption of supplies of the Serum Institute of India-manufactured AstraZeneca vaccine to the COVAX facility.

Had a call with @mansukhmandviya, India’s Health Minister, to discuss #India’s ongoing #COVID19 vaccination programme; the need for a global pandemic agreement; digital health; & traditional medicine. We welcome India’s support to strengthen WHO, incl. via flexible, sustainable financing, Ghebreyesus tweeted on Tuesday.

The other topics that were discussed with Mandaviya was vaccine equity issues and the Covaxin Emergency Use Listing process, and technology and license sharing through C-TAP.

COVID-19 Technology Access Pool (C-TAP) was launched in May last year for facilitating timely, equitable and affordable access of COVID-19 health products by boosting their supply.

India on Thursday (October 21) also crossed a monumental milestone when it vaccinated 100 crore people (One Billion) and according to official figures, around 74.45 per cent of India’s eligible adult population has been administered at least one dose of the Covid vaccine and around 30.63 per cent have received both doses.

On Monday, WHO said it is expecting one additional piece of information from Bharat Biotech regarding its COVID-19 vaccine COVAXIN and said that it follows a thorough evaluation process to ensure vaccines are safe and cannot cut corners before recommending a vaccine for emergency use.

We are aware that many people are waiting for WHO’s recommendation for Covaxin to be included in the #COVID19 Emergency Use Listing, but we cannot cut corners – before recommending a product for emergency use, we must evaluate it thoroughly to make sure it is safe and effective, the global health organisation had said in a tweet.

Also, the world is waiting for India to resume the export of surplus COVID-19 vaccines in the fourth quarter of 2021 under the Vaccine Maitri’ programme and to meet its commitment to the COVAX global pool.

So far India has exported over 66 million vaccine doses to nearly 100 countries through grants, commercial shipments and the COVAX facility.

Protests mount against TN Govt’s attempt to usurp ancient temple of Baduga tribe

The DMK government in Tamil Nadu has been on a frenzy to interfere in temple affairs and impose its atheistic political ideology upon the Hindus of the state.

After laying its hands on temple jewelry in order to fill its coffers, the MK Stalin-led government in the state is now trying to usurp temples owned and maintained by different communities which pulls in a lot of crowd.

One such temple is the Hethaiyamman Temple located in the Nilgiris district which is the kula deivam (community/family deity) of the Baduga community.

This temple is being usurped by the Tamil Nadu government’s Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department without consulting the community.

This move of the DMK government is being resisted by the people of the community with protests breaking over in the district in the past week.

Members belonging to the community have taken to the streets demanding the government to exit from their ancient temple. The BJP and Hindu Munnani have also been spearheading protests.

Speaking to The Commune, BJP Tamil Nadu spokesperson SG Suryah said that the anti-Hindu DMK government is to destroy the centuries old culture and tradition of the Hindus. “By capturing ethno-linguistic community, usurping temple wealthy imposing their whims on Hindu temples, the anti-Hindu DMK is sounding the death knell for Hindus in the state.”, he said.

Another local from Kotagiri said “The HR&CE department can’t even maintain the 30,000 odd temples that is already under their control. Many temples are struggling to do even one pooja a day. All the temples are in shambles. Apart from that, the DMK is a party that swears by atheism and attacks the Hindu faith to appease its votebank. How can we expect such a party to take good care of our temple?”

BJP TN head Annamalai levels corruption charges against state electricity minister Senthil Balaji

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai has accused the state electricity department, functioning under the auspices of its Minister V. Senthil Balaji, of indulging in corruption in the procurement of power from private power stations.

In a press conference held in Chennai yesterday (October 19), mentioned that the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board is signing agreements with private power producers in the state to purchase electricity at a higher price. He said that the DMK will pocket crores of rupees while increasing the financial burden on the people of Tamil Nadu. He mentioned that the actions of the electricity department in the coming days is going spell doom for the power sector itself.

Responding to this, Minister Senthil Balaji while addressing reporters after an event on Wednesday (October 20), said that BJP Tamil Nadu head should prove the allegations within 24 hours.

Within a few hours of the Minister’s press meet, Annamalai posted in his social media in which he pointed out that the contractors of Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TTPS) weren’t released payments for the past many months and that a payment of ₹29.64 Cr has been released suddenly in the recent days after taking 4% commission for bill clearance.

In another post, he said that the 5 ‘consultants’ sitting in the Minister’s Chennai home will know where this 4% commission is collected and kept.

In another post, Annamalai said that the state electricity board purchased power even upto ₹20 per unit which he said was 5 times the cost of generation.

Meanwhile, Senthil Balaji has refuted the allegations and said that the pending payments were made recently to the power generation companies after receiving funds from Powergrid Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation on October 1.

In light of this, the hashtag #ResignEBMin has been trending on Twitter.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Uttar Pradesh Police has finally released the pictures of the men who allegedly lynched three BJP workers during farmers protest on October 3.

The incident took place in Lakhimpur Kheri wherein three BJP workers and a journalist were beaten to death with blunt instruments and the faces of the suspected persons are visible in the photographs and videos of the incident in the possession of SIT.

Violence erupted after protesters accused that a convoy of vehicles including one owned by Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra ran over the protesters killing four farmers on the spot.

subsequently the protesters lynched BJP workers and the murdered BJP workers were identified as Shubham Mishra, Shyam Sunder Nishad, and Hari Om Mishra and the name of the deceased journalist was Raman Kashyap.

The police is currently investigating if the attack on BJP workers was planned or ‘retaliatory’ and the poll bound Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had formed the SIT following the incident.

SIT has asked people to identify suspects in the photographs and released four mobile numbers on which the general public can give information to SIT about them and have promised that the name of informers will not be disclosed, and there will be cash prizes on useful information without mentioning the amount as cash prize.

However, some human rights activists and Congress-left supporters have criticised the SIT for releasing the photos of the alleged attackers and have said, “sharing pictures of farmers without identifying their names or without evidence of their role in the violence may put them in peril.

But Additional Director General (Lucknow zone) SN Sabat said that the display of the picture was part of the legal process that doesn’t violate human rights.

The Indian Army has won the Gold Medal in the Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2021 at Brecon Beacons in Wales at the conclusion of phase six of the exercises, held between October 13 and 15.
