EXPLOSIVE: PTR Audio Leaks Part 2 Releases, Abuses Own Partymen, Admires BJP

In a massive development that is bound to jitter the ruling DMK, another audio clip of Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan has released which was shared by BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai on his social media.

In the alleged audio clip of PTR, he says “I have been a long time proponent of one man one post from the day I entered politics. It is what I like about the BJP. Who looks after the party, who looks after the people, separate those.. right?”

He further goes on to abuse his own partymen saying “Here every (beep) district secretary wants be an MLA and Minister. Who looks after the party? Inaudible.. Ohh. it’s easier to do money management… it is not a system.. They are taking the bulk of the spoils..”

“The party which is the CM’s son and son-in-law, ask them to make the financing.. right? So I decide after watching this for 8 months.. This is not a sustainable model. The great luxury for me if I put my papers in.. In the short term I get out before the shit starts blowing up in their face. I have the like.. kind of.. what do you say.. cleanliness of my conscience that I did not have to like it wasn’t I gave up the fight too early.. I don’t have to say it.. I’m no longer in the post.. it’s not my job.. somebody did it.”, he says.

Earlier an audio clip alleged to be that of DMK Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan had surfaced on social media on 19 April 2023 in which he is believed to have accused members of MK Stalin’s family of making more money in one year than they’ve made during their life time.

“Both Udhay and Sabari have realised, they have made more money in one year than they [unclear] entire lives and now it’s getting to be a problem, how to handle it, how to not get caught, how to get payments here.. [unclear] Its all being made gradually? 10 to 20 crores.. assuming we will say 5000/30000 crores.. [unclear]. How can you [unclear] 5000/30000 crores without paying any [unclear]”, the audio clip supposedly of PTR says. (Some say the amount mentioned in the audio is 5000 crores while others note it is 30000).

The audio clip had surfaced amidst Tamil Nadu BJP K. Annamalai accusing DMK leaders of gaining disproportionate assets over the years.

However PTR gave a lengthy statement denying the audio calling it “malicious”, “fabricated” and “deepfake”.

DMK’s Double U-Turn: 12 Hrs Work Shift Law Implementation Halted, Liquor Min Says Alcohol Won’t Be Served In Marriage Halls

Following pressure from alliance partners, the MK Stalin-led DMK government in Tamil Nadu has made yet another U-Turn on labour law amendments, halting implementation of recently amended labour laws that allow for 12 hour work shifts.

The Tamil Nadu Assembly on April 22nd passed the Factories (Amendment) Act 2023, which provides flexible working hours for employees in factories throughout the state, despite protests and claims by several parties that the Act would increase mandatory working hours from 8 hours to 12 hours.

The passage of the labour law was seen as a U-turn by the DMK, as they had previously opposed amending labour laws to increase working hours while being as an opposition party in 2020.

In a what can be called a 360∘ turn, the DMK government has now halted the implementation of an amended labour law that would have increased working hours from 8 to 12 hours. The implementation was halted within two days of the amendments being approved by a majority of the assembly.

When the bill was brought up for discussion on the final day of the Assembly session, DMK’s allies namely – the Left parties, the Congress, and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK)  – staged a walkout. As the ruling DMK enjoyed a majority in the Tamil Nadu assembly, the bill was passed by voice vote. The government was backed by allies such as the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK).

However, while in opposition in 2020, MK Stalin opposed the BJP-led state governments’ amendment of labour laws to increase work hours from 8 to 12 hours. In 2020, the BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh decided to stay some of the provisions of the labour laws for three years while also announcing a series of changes to boost investments harmed by COVID-19. Gujarat joined the league after relaxing some labour laws and increasing working hours from 8 to 12 hours.

Opposing changes to labour laws by BJP governments in 2020, MK Stalin said, “The Prime Minister should issue a special advisory to all state governments, at least in his capacity as Chairperson of National Disaster Management Authority, that factories must abide by all labour laws and that no state government should disregard any of them.”

He described the amendments as “anti-worker and anti-people autocratic measures,” claiming that they extended the 8-hour workday to 12 hours and denied workers’ rights and protection.

“From the beginning, the BJP government has refused to acknowledge that workers are the backbone of the economy. They are now siding with the employers in order to exploit the workers’ hard work,” Stalin said. “Dispensing with the labour laws only reveals the dangerous ulterior motive of the BJP governments,” Stalin added.

In another U-Turn, Senthilbalaji, the DMK Minister in-charge of liquor sales in Tamil Nadu announced that marriage halls won’t be provided license to serve liquor.

This U-Turn came after the DMK government passed a GO that allowed for serving liquor in conference halls, convention centers, marriage halls, banquet halls, sports stadiums, and household functions if they get special license.

According to the GO, “F.L.12 special license for possession of liquor and serving to the guests, visitors and participants in the international/national summits and events/conferences/celebrations/festivals, etc.”

The DMK government’s GO has received criticism from all sections of the general public as well as opposition parties.

Following this, Liquor Minister Senthilbalaji stated that marriage halls won’t be allowed to serve liquor. However, this has just been an oral statement from the Minister and is yet to be backed by a GO.

The DMK government has made 2 U-Turns in one day with one of the U-Turn resulting in a complete 360* turn.

Opposition Leaders Slam DMK For G.O. Allowing Liquor In Marriage Halls, Stadiums And House Functions

According to the Tamil Nadu state government order, the DMK government has granted a special license to allow liquor service in conference halls, convention centers, marriage halls, banquet halls, sports stadiums, and household functions.

Until now, licenses have only been issued to clubs and five-star hotels. Last month, the Home, Prohibition, and Excise Department issued a notification regarding the special license. According to the GO, “F.L.12 special license for possession of liquor and serving to the guests, visitors and participants in the international/national summits and events/conferences/celebrations/festivals, etc.”

The F.L.12 special license would be valid for one or more days. On payment of license fees, it would be issued by the Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner (Excise) with the Collector’s approval. This permit allows guests, visitors, and participants at international or national events to possess and serve liquor.

The DMK government’s GO has received criticism from all sections of the general public as well as opposition parties. BJP State President Annamalai slammed the DMK’s GO, saying, “This incompetent DMK government has brought an amendment to allow alcohol in places where people gather, including wedding halls and sports grounds. The DMK, which came to power by promising to close liquor factories and reduce the number of TASMAC shops, has been attempting to increase liquor sales by setting a target each year. We strongly condemn the DMK’s continued actions to increase sales in DMK-owned liquor factories, which will cause disorder in society, at a time when the state’s law and order are already a challenge to the public.”

Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu assembly Edappadi K Palanisamy said, “I strongly condemn the DMK government, which has kept liquor shops open for 12 hours after promising that alcohol prohibition is the only goal and has today allowed liquor to be consumed in marriage halls and sports grounds. This Dravida model government has ruined the youth’s future by making them addicted to alcohol. It is only a matter of time before the people teach this government a proper lesson for continuing to engage in such anti-people activities that disrupt public order and increase crime.”

Financial City Project And Stalin’s Singapore Trips: Waste Of Taxpayers’ Money

The Financial City Project was first proposed at Perumbakkam, near Sholinganallur off the OMR by the DMK Government in September 2009. Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) had even identified about 180 acres at Perumbakkam. Due to the inefficient efforts by the DMK Government, the projects failed to take off.

The DMK Government decided to make the Financial City Project in Sholinganaluur from scratches and aimed for only foreign investments for the development.

The then President of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), for TamilNadu chapter Prakash Challa felt that government should make best use of IT parks lying inside the city for kickstarting the Financial City Projects.

As per the Times Of India reports dated on 24 September 2009, Mr.Prakash Challa expresed his displeasure on government’s stand, saying, ”When more than 12 million sq.ft of IT are readily available for occupation at very low rentals, what is the need to create a separate infrastructure starting from scratch for the financial city?”

His opinion is that government needs to just roll out a better financial investment policy, aimed at creating the right kind of environment to attract investments from global banks, insurance firms and financial institutions.

”There is enough and more ready to occupy space in the city to cater to the needs of those who want to set up shops immediately. It would also reduce considerably the gestation period between the conceptualization and implementation of the scheme” he noted.

But the then Karunanidhi Government acted deaf to the opinion of him and went for grabbing foreign investments which lead to the delay of the scheme.

During September 2009, the then Deputy Chief Minister Stalin flew to Singapore for elaborating his plan and grabbing foreign investments but failed.

In June 2014, the then ADMK Government, shifted the project from Perumbakkam to Sriperumbudhur.

During November 2019, the state government led by AIADMK had revived the financial city project but once again changed the location to Nandambakkam. The Government was in the final stages of approving the project and estimated an investment of several thousand crores with employment to 30,000 people.

But due to the change in power in 2021, the DMK Government put the arrangements to a halt at Nandambakkam.

Again in December 2022, Stalin again revived the Financial City Project, but cancelled it in Nandambakkam, starting it afresh at the suburbs of Chennai in Perumbakkam near Sholinganallur .

Again, we can see that history repeating is itself as like in 2009 with CM Stalin planning for a trip to Singapore.

Just like in the popular Tamil film Maanaadu, Stalin seems to be stuck in a time loop – ‘Vandhaan, Suttan, Ponaan, Repeat-u’ (He came, he shot, he went, repeat).

With the Global Investors Summit planned in Tamil Nadu on Jan 10, 11 in 2024, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will tour around abroad after May 20 to attract investments.

If the reports are something to go by, Stalin will visit London, Singapore and Japan on a one-week tour to attract investments for the State. During his visit, he would meet entrepreneurs and government officials.

The official announcement will likely be made following the cabinet meeting scheduled for May 2.

The past experiences simply conclude that there would be no good return to the state of Tamil Nadu by CM Stalin’s Singapore Trip. But will end up a waste of taxpayers money.

Work On New Chennai Port – Maduravoyal Corridor Begins, This Is How It Will Look

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways announced on 23 April 2023, saying that under the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative, a new Greenfield Corridor Project is underway in the state of Tamil Nadu.

This involves the development of a Double Tier 4-lane Elevated Corridor from Chennai Port to Maduravoyal.

The first level of the double-decker corridor would be for light vehicles between Koyambedu and Chennai port, while the second level would be designed specifically for heavy vehicles between Chennai port and Maduravoyal.

The Minister sharing graphical images of what the corridor would look like on completion, informed that the completion of this project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in Chennai by segregating local traffic movement onto one tier of the Elevated highway.

Earlier, in October 2022, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that the Chennai Port – Maduravoyal corridor will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹5800 crore.

The proposed elevated stretch of 20.5 km will be developed in 4 sections and will start inside the Chennai Port and end after the Maduravoyal interchange.

The project was officially launched in 2008 by the then Tamil Nadu government under Chief Minister Karunanidhi.

However, the project became a victim of political vendetta with the AIADMK government coming to power in 2011.

The project saw several delays and cost escalations with unfinished pillars obstructing vehicle traffic.

The project is now expected to be completed by December 2024 and it will serve as a dedicated freight corridor for Chennai bound port traffic and increase the handling capacity of Chennai Port by 48% and subsequently reduce the waiting time at the port by 6 hours.

Additionally, it will double the handling capacity of the port, reduce waiting times at the port, and decrease travel time for vehicles bound for the port by an hour.

“The project is specifically designed to manage the expected increase in port-bound traffic, which is predicted to double by 2040 from current levels. In light of the dynamic leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, Government’s unwavering commitment lies in expediting and optimizing the mobility sector by means of unparalleled infrastructural advancements.”, Minister Gadkari said.

Here’s how the elevated corridor will look.

Kerala Commies Hurt Hindu Beliefs Again, This Time Their Target Is Historical Onattukara Festival

Protests have recently erupted in the southern Indian state of Kerala in response to an instance of offending the Hindu custom of the palanquin parade.  The event occurred during a protest march organised by Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) state secretary MV Govindan, during which a symbolic procession carrying a palanquin with the CPM insignia was carried out.

The Onattukara Jiva Thirumudi Ezhunnallat Samrakshak Samiti, different Hindu organisations, and the temple preservation committee have all spoken out against the CPM for disrespecting temple rituals. The protest demonstration and meeting will be organised jointly by numerous Hindu organisations to express their outrage at the “infidels who insulted and mutilated Jiva Ezhunnallat, the most important part of the Hindu temple rituals of Onnatukara by hurting the sentiments of devotees.”

The organisers have requested that all Hindus unite to oppose such arrogance, which continuously undermines Hindu ceremonies. “We need to understand why they don’t interfere with other religions’ rituals.” We are in this scenario again because we are not prepared to respond. We are opposing this move that takes advantage of our custom, tradition, and faith. Participate in the demonstration and help it succeed as a self-respecting believer, as a Hindu,” the organisers said. Hindu organisations have expressed fury over the event, accusing the CPM of insulting their religious values. The CPM has yet to make a statement about the tragedy or the protests.

A Place Of Utmost Importance For Hindus

Onattukara is considered a culturally significant place for Hindus because it is believed to be the location where Mahabali, also known as Maveli, offered his head to Vamana. This event is celebrated annually during the Onam festival, which is one of the most significant festivals for Hindus in Kerala. Additionally, the region has several temples dedicated to Hindu deities such as Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, and others. These temples have mythological and historical significance and are important pilgrimage sites for Hindus. The presence of a statue of Buddha in the area also highlights the region’s past as a Buddhist civilization, which adds to the cultural diversity and historical significance of Onattukara for Hindus.

Onattukara, a feudal kingdom in Kerala, has a long history dating back to the 12th century. It is known as the ‘Land of Onam’ as it is believed to be where Mahabali, also known as Maveli, offered his head to Vamana. The capital of Onattukara, Mavelikkara, which means ‘The Land of Maveli’, is a culturally significant place and the cultural capital of Alappuzha. Mavelikkara has produced many famous artists and is home to a statue of Buddha, which is rare in Kerala. This statue serves as a reminder of the region’s past as a Buddhist civilization during the Onattukara dynasty.

The Kandiyoor Mahadeva Temple is another popular attraction, dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to have been an ancient Buddhist site due to its unique architecture. The temple also has 12 sub-deities, including Vishnu, Ganapathy, and Subramanyan, and is one of the famous 108 Shiva temples in the world. The Evoor Krishnaswamy Temple is an important temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and is Onattukara’s Guruvayur. It is one of the 26 significant shrines of Lord Vishnu and has mythological associations with Khandava Dahanam, a scene from the Mahabharata. According to legend, Kanva Maharishi, one of the Saptarishis, lived in this area.

Anti-Hindu Left In Kerala

The ‘anti-Hindu’ nature of left in Kerala is anchored on two prime beliefs, one is that, unification of Hindu’s for their own cause will shatter vote base of Communist in the state and second is that, constant anti-Hindu stance might secure them vote of minorities which are alluding the left. But, in both scenario Hindu’s are taken for granted as mere rubber stamps who will vote for the party in the state. (More than 50% of left vote in Kerala are Hindus).

If we look back in to the two terms of current Pinarayi Vijayan government, the pattern of constant ‘Anti-Hindu’- ‘Minority appeasement’ policy measures are visible. During the first term of Pinarayi Vijayan government, there was a diktat against government employees using office hours for Onam celebrations and PWD minister at that time G. Sudhakaran’s also stated that lighting of ‘Nilavilakku’ (tradional lamp) and religious prayer should be avoided at government functions. In both these matters, was following the lines of the Muslim League which views ‘Nilavilakku’ and ‘Pookalam’ (flower rangoli) as a religious symbol.

One must understand that, in traditions and customs of Kerala, both views ‘Nilavilakku’ and ‘Pookalam’ have an indispensable role as it represents good luck for conducting any fuctions. Onam and ‘Nilavilaku’ has always been considered more as symbol of Kerala rather than symbol of religions. By issuing the diktat the CM toed the line of extremist Islamic fringe groups. Later after the Supreme Court’s ruling on Sabarimala issue, the left in Kerala took a stance on entry of women into Sabarimala temple, which was also against the Hindu beliefs and traditions.

Meanwhile, in issues of Muslims in the state, the left always had taken a softer approach. In early 2022, during the event of “Jana Maha Sammelanam”, organised by the Popular Front of India (PFI), the mob assembled warned Hindus and Christians of dire consequences if they did not live peacefully in the country. Most shocking incident was slogans raised by a little boy in the event. The boy shouted, “Be ready for your death rituals if you won’t live in our land quietly. Be ready with rice flakes to fill your mouth, if you won’t live quietly (For Hindus). Be ready to burn amber in your home if you won’t live quietly (For Christians). Because we are coming, we are your death. We won’t go to Pakistan or Bangladesh, you have to live here as we say, or else we know how to make you live quietly, we will kill you even if we are attacked. We take pride in being a martyr, we salute them. If you won’t live quietly, we know how to ask for ‘Azadi’. Be prepared for your death,” the PFI members shouted in Malayalam.

The left government in the state was slow to respond to this dangerous incident showcasing their nature of minority appeasement. One must also not forget when The Kerala government vouched for the legal and Constitutional validity of the Shariat law by holding it as the “real expression of the Prophet” upholding its significance in all aspects of the Muslim Personal Law, especially on law of inheritance. The state appeased minorities by upholding an archaic law which is being rejected even by the Muslims itself. In another instance there was the district administration’s direction to the Vellayani Devi Temple to use politically neutral colours for festival decorations. The restriction on the temple from using only saffron-coloured decorations and flags as part of Kaliyoottu festival was forced up on by Communist administration and the police citing law and order provisions. But ultimately the Court and the devotees stood up against the fascist attitude of ruling communist government. The pattern of abuse of Hindu rituals and customs by ruling Left in Kerala is a disturbing trend which needs to be checked and resisted.

These instances are just tip of an iceberg; the pattern adopted by Communist government in the state is clear. It is based on appeasement of minorities and ‘anti-Hindu’ agenda. The left should not be left alone to do as they please, the hypocrisy of party must be exposed and Hindus in the state must understand how they are being manipulated and divided by those in power.

“Will Not Cowed Down By Threats”:TN BJP Prez Annamalai Responds To Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Legal Notice

Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, in a statement through his counsel, said the legal notice by the DMK over the ‘DMK Files’ episode was an attempt to suppress his voice and refused to apologize for stating the facts.

Annamalai, in response to a legal notice issued by DMK Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over DMK Files, said he would not be cowed down by DMK’s threats and denied having committed any offence.

On 14 April 2023, Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai revealed the details of ₹1.34 lakh crores in property amassed by the DMK leaders. As part of the first list, Annamalai released the property details of first 12 DMK leaders. In response, the ruling DMK’s Udhayanidhi Stalin issued a legal notice and demanded an apology, damages to the tune of ₹50 crores.

Annamalai, replying to this notice through his counsel RC Paul Kanagaraj, said that it was an attempt to suppress his voice.

The statement reads that, the notice was an attempt to somehow prevent the people from knowing the truth. He also denied that Udhayanidhi Stalin is working for the welfare of the constituency. He stated that only enjoying power inherited from his family connection with no merit involved.

While refferring to DMK files, Annamalai in his rejoinder said that it was part of his ongoing bonafide effort in larger public interest to create awareness about the various misdeeds of DMK party and sensitize the people of Tamil Nadu to the issue of corruption.

He has also reffered that Red Giant Movies production house is purely based on Udhayanidhi’s family connection and abuse of political power.

Annamalai also stated that he would do nothing to invade the privacy of innocent children of Udhayanidhi Stalin. The names of Udhayanidhi’s children were mentioned as part of family tree only because he had disclosed assests belonging to his children in his election affidavit.

He also justifies his stand on Noble steels issue and said that he has relevant materials to show the connection between them and noble companies.

He pointed out the recently released controversial audio alleged to be that of PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan.

“The Finance Minister, Thiru. PTR Palanivel Thiaga Rajan has been recently recorded to have said in a conversation with the journalist that ‘both Udhay [Udhayanidhi Stalin, minister and son of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam head and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin] and Sabreesan (V.Sabareesan, the CM’s son-in-law] have realised, they have made more money than their grandfather in a year. They have made Rs. 30,000 crores in a year and they do not know How to handle it.’ This clearly shows that there is complete truth in the statements made by him on the DMK party and the family that runs it”, stated Annamalai’s response.

VCK Vikraman Accused Of Sexual Harassment Again, Woman Lawyer Complains To VCK Chief Thiruma

A woman lawyer named Kiruba Munusamy has accused VCK co-spokesperson and Bigg Boss fame Vikraman of cheating her on the pretext of falling in love with her and extorting money from her. She has also written a letter to VCK leader Thirumavalavan, accusing Vikraman of sexual harassment.

Vikraman, who was a journalist and later jumped into politics, is the current co-spokesperson of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi. He also participated in the Bigg Boss show last season and won the second place.

Kiruba Munusamy, is a Supreme Court advocate, has written a letter to VCK chief Thirumavalavan, saying “As a Supreme Court lawyer, I have been doing my ph.D. in law in London since 2020 through the National Overseas Scholarship, Ministry of Social Justice, Government of India. It is well known to many, including you, that I continue to work in the courts and public domain against caste oppression. Vikraman, a spokesperson of your party, had been friendly with me through political programmes and said he had fallen in love with me after I moved to London. I agreed because he seemed to have a good motive on progressive politics as well. During this three-year period of this relationship, he has called me a prostitute several times with other obscene words. He has alleged that being a Dalit is the only reason why I am getting political mileage.”

Kiruba also said that Vikraman made her spend money by making her feel like they were in a husband-wife relationship. “When I asked about why he spent ₹80,000/- on his credit card he degraded me by saying, ‘You yourself are freeloading by cheating the government and getting a scholarship by providing a fake caste certificate.’ He also allaged that I will use Dalit men in VCK to rape his sister and mother.”, Kiruba wrote in her letter.

Kiruba also stated that when she mentioned about his caste privileges of being born in the Chettiar caste and his casteist attacks on her, he allegedly taunted her back saying that she was using her Dalit card thereby insulting her life experience as a Dalit woman.

“He has slandered not only about me but also about Dalit key members of his party.”, she said.

“In the last three years, he has made me feel guilty and made me feel that it is wrong to talk about caste oppression or my self-respect as an individual. Because of his psychological oppression, he kept me thinking of committing suicide. I have been severely affected by this and have been forced to seek treatment from a mental health professional.”, Kiruba further alleged in her letter.

“I request you to take party-wise disciplinary action against Vikraman, who cheated me by claiming to be in love with me, made casteist remarks, extorted more than ₹12 lakh so far, mentally abused me and incited me to commit suicide” she said in her letter to Thirumavalavan

She also said ”I have proof of all my claims. I cannot imagine the plight of more ordinary women if Vikraman, who is in a key position in the VCK, had so boldly subjected me, a Supreme Court lawyer, a globally recognised caste-legal expert, an activist against caste oppression, and a Dalit woman with so many political connections to such atrocities.”

“So, I have decided to file a police complaint against him. For the public eye, he behaves like a progressive and a politically honest person. If we don’t take party-wise action against Vikraman for personally committing such indecent acts, it will put a question mark on the very basic ideology of the party which stands for the protection of Dalits,” she said in the letter.

This is not the first instance Vikraman has been accused of sexual harassment.

Earlier, he was accused of sexual harassing a man under the pretext of conducting an audition.

Ironically, Vikraman had recently jumped in to protest against the alleged sexual harassment at Kalakshetra. The News Minute had even written a piece extolling him as a progressive politician who had ‘elevated the intellectual standards of Bigg Boss’ by championing anti-casteism and feminism.

Kiruba Munusamy had earlier made sexual harassment allegations against self-styled alleged ‘environmental activist’ Piyush Manush. Apparently, Piyush Manush had sought sexual favours from Kiruba during her internship with him.

DMK Office-Bearer Threatens Ration Shop Worker In Dindigul For Free Supplies

video of DMK official threatening an illegally demanding ration shop items from ration shop worker has gone viral on social media.

Menaka (32) works as a ration shop salesperson in Vedasandur SAP Nagar, Dindigul District. Ameer Basha, a DMK office-bearer, arrived at the shop with several ration cards and demanded ration goods for all of them. Menaka, who was shocked, refused to deliver goods for all of the cards and stated that she could only give for his card. Ameer Basha became enraged and confronted Maneka.

DMK Ameer Basha said, “We used to take ration items like sugar and kerosene in large quantities during Karunanidhi’s regime. This person is aware of it. We now have the rule of Chinna Thalaivar (MK Stalin), but Karunanidhi is Periya Thalaivar (Big leader) for us. We used to take ration items in bulk from this ration shop during Karunanidhi’s regime, using the same DMK’s city secretary Anwar. I, too, took ration items in bulk to my home.”

He further said, “You are now denying me two packets. What the *** were you plucking being a salesman? In another ration shop, they treat me with dignity and ask me to take as much as I want. But, aside from this shop, I didn’t ask for items from any other ration shop. Do you know that the DMK office bearer owns (unofficially) four ration shops in their area? On top of that, I am the presidium chairman of DMK, which is a very important posting. I’ll show you what I’m capable of. can transfer another person to your posting.”
