Narco-terror still a problem, ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan remain stable

Pakistan drones

Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt told Rajya Sabha on Monday (March 21) that the military and security agencies along the western borders remain largely stable, however, narco-terror nexus sponsored by inimical elements across the border aimed at causing instability still is a threat to India.

“Security situation along Western Borders (IB Sector) remains largely stable. However, there are indications of an emerging narco-terror nexus sponsored by inimical elements across the border aimed at causing instability, especially along border areas. Our forces along Western borders are adequately poised to respond to any challenge posed by adversary across entire conflict spectrum,” he said.

The minister also told the Upper House in a written reply that the Line of Control (LoC) remains stable after the DGMOs (Director General Military Operations) of India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire in February 2021.

On the situation at the Line of Control, the minister said, “The situation along Line of Control remains stable post the Directorate General of Military Operations (DGsMO) Understanding of February 2021. Both the Armies have exercised restraint in the interest of maintaining peace along the LC. However, the situation is being closely monitored and the Indian Army remains prepared to thwart any threat from inimical elements as also to respond in case of any escalation along the Line of Control,”.

Christians convert Christians: Evangelical missionaries indulge in converting people fleeing war-ravaged Ukraine

As the Russia-Ukraine war continues, it has created a massive refugee crisis in Europe as hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are fleeing for their lives, and Christian evangelical missionaries are targeting vulnerable Ukrainians who are predominantly orthodox, reports Mission Kaali.

Ben Lewis, chief international correspondent of Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) is presumably reporting from the Ukraine-Poland border in a tweet said, “At the Ukraine/Poland border. Tired women and children leaving their country. They’re being pestered by American preachers telling them they all need to accept Jesus as their saviour and their lives will be better. Receiving a lot of eye rolls in response,”.

There are copious videos and photos of American missionaries preaching as tired and haggard Ukrainians are getting off the trains at the Poland-Ukrainian border. The conflict has created nearly 2 million refugees who have come into Poland.

Overall there are 3 million refugees have fled Ukraine to other border states, including Hungary, Moldova, and Romania.

However, missionary groups are trying to take advantage of this situation by asking them to convert instead of offering any real material help like food, clothing, medical care, and shelter.

Franklin Graham son of Billy Braham who was perhaps the greatest evangelist in a recent article on Samaritan’s Purse said, “are deploying life-saving medical care to aid people who are suffering. We want to meet the needs of these families in their darkest moments while pointing them to the light and hope of Jesus Christ”.

It is a matter of Christians trying to convert Christians because the American Evangelical Missionaries do not consider the Orthodox sect or Roman Catholics as legitimate.

In a shameful but not surprising gesture the American missionary organisation, Awakening Europe, is offering empty faith healing, as boasted about on their Facebook page.

American journalist Josh Marshall who is the founder of TPM Media in a tweet said, “State Rep who wrote a plan to organize a mass killing of liberals to found a Christian theocracy in America just showed up in Poland with dozens of Ukrainian children he wants to bring to America for adoption,”.

The most concerning development coming out of the Russian invasion is of a former American state representative possibly trying to steal Ukrainian children and bring them to the USA.  Former Washington state representative Matt Shea has been in the town of Kazimerz Dolyny, in Poland.  He is with a group of Ukrainian children supposedly in different stages of the adoption process, supposedly on the behalf of a US nonprofit called “Loving Families and Homes For Orphans”.

Matt Shea is reportedly involved in multiple domestic terror incidents in the US. The organization ‘Loving Families and Homes for Orphans’ also seems to be a problematic organization as it was registered in Florida just a month ago.

Defence Ministry approves Indian Army’s request for a dedicated surveillance satellite to monitor LoC and LAC

The Defence Ministry on Tuesday (March 22) has cleared a Rs 4,000 crore proposal by the Indian Army that has asked for a dedicated surveillance satellite to keep an eye on the borders with China and Pakistan.

“Islamic terrorists are waiting to infiltrate from launch pads in Pakistan and PoK”: Union Minister Nityanand Rai

The Indian Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said in Lok Sabha on Tuesday (March 21) that a significant number of terrorists are waiting in various launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

However, there is a decrease in the number of infiltration from across the border to 34 in 2021 as compared to 51 in 2020, 138 in 2019, and 143 in 2018.

Pakistan and India have been observing a ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) for over a year now, however, it has still not given up its support for Islamic terrorist organisations like Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) and the Lashkar e Taiban (leT) and that is why it is still in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) gray list.

As the minister briefed the Parliament, he was asked whether Pakistan has built infrastructure along the LoC and terrorists had tried to infiltrate from the launch pads. To this question, the minister said, “information sought to be a sensitive operational matter concerning national security and cannot be divulged in the interest of national security,”.

In his address in the Parliament Rai made it very clear that the central government regularly reviews the security situation along the LoC and takes all precautionary measures to eliminate threat elements, including terrorists.

Christian Dalit woman raped by 8 people including 2 DMK functionaries

In yet another incident of crime against women in Tamil Nadu, a 22-year-old Dalit woman in Virudhunagar district was allegedly raped repeatedly for months by eight people, which includes two DMK functionaries and four school students. All eight members accused of the crime have been arrested by the police.

The survivor is reportedly a Christian Dalit (Pallar) woman.  The arrested persons have been identified as Junaith Ahamed (27), Hariharan (27), Praveen (21), Madasamy (37) and four other minor boys studying in Classes 10, 11 and 12. All of them hail from Virudhunagar.

The arrested Hariharan is a local DMK youth wing functionary who lured the 22-year-old woman into a relationship and took her to a secluded place, where he forced her to have sex with him. He filmed the same and circulated it among his friends. He and his friends reportedly threatened to share the video in internet and continued to exploit the girl sexually by blackmailing her. This Junaith Ahamed who is also a local DMK youth wing functionary and the four minor boys.

The accused had sexually abused the woman for several times over a period of one year.

A case has been registerd on charges of rape under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against all the eight people.

Hariharan, Junaith Ahamed, Praveen and Madasamy were produced before the Special Court and remanded in judicial custody. The four minor boys were produced before a magistrate and sent to a juvenile correction home.

The horrific crime bears striking similarity to the case that happened in Pollachi near Coimbatore where women were lured into relationships and sexually exploited by men. The issue gained lot of media traction with the then Opposition leader and DMK chief MK Stalin training his guns on the AIADMK.

While DMK MP Kanimozhi has tweeted condemning the incident, AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan has questioned why she has refrained from naming the accused who are functionaries of her party.

BJP Tamil Nadu spokesperson SG Suryah has questioned the silence of journalists who are treading lightly on the incident.

Sadhguru Kicks Off 100-Day Motorcycle Journey From London To Save Soil

Sadhguru kick started the Save Soil Journey this afternoon from Trafalgar Square amidst a teeming crowd of onlookers. People gathered at the Square to offer him their best wishes and hear his last words before he hit the road on the arduous 100-day motorcycle journey. The Square throbbed to the well-loved tune of the Soil Song as the audience created a wave of swaying arms. A 7-year-old girl flagged off the 30,000 kilometre, 27 nation, 3 continent long-journey.

In a recent address to UK Parliamentarians, Sadhguru ardently voiced the importance of a girl child in this movement as a way of transcending social divisions of nationality, race, religion and caste, and creed. “When they see a child, a girl child,” he said, “I believe people’s hearts will become little more tender.” He urged women to take up the movement, speaking of the critical role they play because of the greater concern they have for future generations. “If you want to say ‘I love you’ to your child, you must just say ‘Save Soil’ because it is a more committed way of saying ‘I love you.’

To the crowd at the largest public event held in London yesterday at ExCeL, Sadhguru said about the Journey, in a heartfelt address, “In case I don’t make it, you must take it up. Let’s make it happen.”

Passing through the UK, Europe, the Middle East and India, Sadhguru will visit 27 nations over the next few months, where he will engage with world leaders, the media and leading experts across the globe to emphasize the urgent need for concerted action to Save Soil.

According to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), over 90% of the earth’s soil could become degraded by 2050 leading to catastrophic crises worldwide including food and water shortages, droughts and famines, adverse climate changes, mass migrations and unprecedented rates of species extinction. This ‘soil extinction’ is the gravest threat to Humanity right now, as our planet is losing the ability to grow food because of rapid soil degradation.

The Save Soil Movement seeks to activate and demonstrate citizen support across nations, and empower governments to initiate policy-driven action to revitalize soil and halt further degradation. To enable this, the Movement will aim to reach 3.5 billion people – 60% of the world’s electorate.

In the past week, six Caribbean nations took the historic first step of signing memorandums of understanding with Conscious Planet, in an expression of impassioned commitment to the Save Soil movement.

Save Soil is a global movement to inspire a conscious approach to saving our soil and planet. This is, first and foremost, a people’s movement. The aim is to demonstrate the support of over 3.5 billion people (more than 60% of the world’s voting population) around the world and empower governments to initiate policy-driven action to revitalize soil and halt further degradation World leaders, influencers, artists, experts, farmers, spiritual leaders, NGOs and citizens are vocally supporting the movement to re-establish Humanity’s relationship with Soil.
