TN CM Stalin Congratulates Anti-Hindu Abusive Man Accused Of Forging Degree

Yet another time, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has entertained Hindu-baiting rabid Dravidian Stockist Kannabiran Ravishankar, a man accused of forging his doctorate degree.

Periyar International (PI) along with the Center for Inquiry Canada (CFIC), Humanist Canada (HC) and the Humanist Association of Toronto (HAT) organized a two-day conference titled “International Humanism Conference on Social Justice” on September 24-25, 2022.

Self-proclaimed author Kannabiran Ravishankar (KRS) who has been accused of faking his doctorate degree was one of the key speakers as well as an organizer of the conference.

High on accents, KRS introduced Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin before the latter’s video address on 24 September 2022.

During the address, CM Stalin spoke about his much-hyped “Dravida Model” of governance while hailing E.V. Ramasamy Naicker (known as Periyar by his followers).

Towards the end of his speech, CM Stalin congratulated KRS and others for undertaking the task of “Globalizing Periyar”, a vision Dravida Kazhagam President Veeramani who is known for his rabid anti-Hindu speeches and writings.

“I congratulate the following people who are undertaking this great task: Dr. Soma Ilangovan, ‘Dr.’ Kannabiran Ravishankar, Dr. Lakshman Tamil, Arulselvi Veeramani, V. Kumaresan, V. Anburaj,”, CM Stalin noted.

In his statement, Stalin addressed Kannabiran Ravishankar as a doctorate, which has been found to be bogus.

Who is Kannabiran Ravishankar?

KRS is a rabid anti-Hindu Brahmin-baiting ‘Dravidian Stockist’ promoted for long by the top brass of the DMK. He has been accused of faking his educational qualifications claiming to have a doctoral degree from University of California, Berkeley.

It has been confirmed by UC Berkeley that KRS did not attend or receive any degree from any department of UC Berkeley.

Kannabiran who goes by the handle @kryes on Twitter, is the Editor-in-Chief of Dravida Pozhil, which according to its website is “a quarterly, bi-lingual, academic research journal with focus on Dravidian studies”. He is a high decibel foul-mouthed Dravidian Stockist promoted and platformed by the DK-DMK ecosystem.

He claims himself to be an ‘Investment Banker’ full time and an ‘Adjunct Professor’ in Comparative Literature (Tamil) part-time. He had presented himself as a Ph.D holder from UC Berkeley in many of his tweets, books and and forums. He had claimed that received a doctorate in ‘Comparative Literature’ from University of California, Berkeley. In a tweet, Kannabiran claimed that his department was School of South and South East Asian studies at UC Berkeley. However, it was found that KRS’s name is neither listed in the Ph.D Alumni Directory nor in the ongoing Graduate Students list of UC Berkeley.

This is not the first time MK Stalin has shared stage with the rabid anti-Hindu Dravidian Stockist.

In October 2021, KRS called on CM Stalin and gifted a book on the late DMK patriarch Karunanidhi. In the picutre shared he is identified as a professor of Paris University, another claim which also has been disputed.

History Says Geography Matters But Congress Is ‘Walking’ With Eyes Closed

sonia rahul gandhi national herald congress india

As a student of political history, it is important to look at the past events and predictions from a psephological spectrum.

In the 1980’s and 90’s India’s leading and only psephologist was Dr. Prannoy Roy. Although he comes from a political and ideological affiliation, his analysis commanded respec from all hues.

1991 general elections were conducted over 3 phases and it was an unwonted election since the 1st phase happened on May 20th a day before Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated and the remaining two phases were conducted on June 15 and 19.

While the 1 st phase saw a 5.7% negative swing away from Congress party there was a sympathy wave in favor of Congress party in the final 2 phases post the brutal bomb attack on former Prime Minister which saw a 1.6% swing in favor of Congress which helped the party to form the government.

Post the government formation there was an interview published by India Today on July 15, 1991 with Dr. Prannoy Roy which deserves our attention today. When the founder of NDTV was asked what was the biggest surprise of 1991 polls he was categorical in his reply that BJP getting 20% of popular vote and doubling its vote share from 1989 elections was the biggest surprise.

He said, “It came second, after Congress (I) of course, winning 119 seats. Pertinently, the party had gone to the polls without any alliance, except with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra or seat arrangements as in the 1989 elections. The party has also chalked up impressive percentile gains – even where it received none or only a few seats – in states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. For example, its vote percentage in the Marxist bastion West Bengal rose from 1.5 to 9.5 per cent.”

In fact BJP had got 9% in erstwhile united state of Andhra Pradesh.

There were two other important points from that old interview. When he was asked “What will it take for the BJP to emerge as a majority party at the Centre?” His reply was, “It takes about 40 per cent of the national vote (assuming that the elections are fought with a divided opposition) to gain a majority of seats in the Lok Sabha. The BJP is still a long distance from that threshold and it will need even more dramatic swings to bring it to that level and be in a position to form a government at the Centre.”

Dr. Roy’s prescription for the Congress party then was, “For Congress party it will have to crawl out of its deep hole in the large states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar while maintaining its strength in the south and the west.”

Saffron Surge Under Modi

The reason I am sharing this piece of information after 31 years is because of the fact that under the leadership of Modi the BJP achieved nearly 40% in 2014 and in 2019. In 17 states and Union Territories BJP breached 50% vote share. Out of the 303 seats won in 2019 in 223 seats BJP won by bagging over 50% of votes which was an incredible performance by any standards.

Defeats in 2004 & 2009 Lok Sabha elections turned out to be a wake call and blessing in disguise since the party decided to overhaul its machinery. Under the leadership of Modi the party is conquering the unchartered territory and has earnestly started to identify 144 seats lost in 2019 by small margins.

Ministers are being deputed to ensure that the booth committees are strengthened in these constituencies. The saffron outfit has turned into a 24×7 robust party machine which aims to win every election starting from panchayat to that of Lok Sabha.

Bottomless Pit For Congress

On the contrary Congress party has got so used to electoral defeats that they are still waiting to find their abyss point of depression. They seem to have fallen into a bottomless pit but their leadership seems to turn a Nelson’s eye towards the electoral trounces. One of the primary reason for their misfortune is their steady downfall in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

As Dr. Roy had rightly mentioned in 1991 that the reversal of fortune for the Grand Old Party of Indian subcontinent can happen only when there is a revival of party machinery in Uttar Pradesh.

The ability of Congress party to come to power either on their own or through a coalition can happen only when they perform well at Uttar Pradesh. As far as Bihar is concerned the less talked the better it is since there have been no attempts to revive the party since 1991 and is at the mercy of RJD.

A cursory look at the picture would show that it is when the party touches the double digit in the most populous state that it becomes a ruling party at the centre. The only two exceptions were in 1991 and 2004 when the party managed to form the Government at  Delhi in spite of a poor performance at UP.

The reason is that in 1991 it was due to the sympathy wave and in 2004 the gap between BJP & Congress was hardly 7 seats.

In the 2022 assembly elections Priyanka Vadra addressed nearly 209 rallies and then too the party came a cropper by bagging just 2 assembly seats with a dismal vote share of 2.33%. The party lost even from Sonia Gandhi’s constituency Rae Bareli and its candidate was pushed to 3rd position bagging just 6.5% votes. There are no signs of revival for the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh.

Amidst this gloom and doom Rahul Gandhi is undertaking his “Bharath Jodo Yatra” where he is set to spend 2 days at Uttar Pradesh while he spends more than 18 days at Kerala which forced the CPI (M) to mock at the Congress leader’s yatra.

It is amply clear that the party is least concerned in reviving in the Hindi Heartland. Dr. Roy’s diagnosis is over 3 decades old but yet the patient is lying in the ICU dreaming that some fairytale would propel the party to power in 2024. Added to that is the fact out of 190 seats where Congress faced a head on collision with BJP in 2019 the Congress party could win only in 15 seats.

We can safely assume that in 2024 the party would face its worst drubbing and reading the writing on the wall the party is preparing to make a non-Gandhi as its President who would then be made a scapegoat.

Manu Smriti: A Misconceived, Maximum-Maligned Manuscript

Disclaimer: The aim of this article is to bring out the lesser-known and deliberately overlooked aspects of Manu Smriti, one of the many smritis of Hinduism. The article doesn’t advocate or endorse the aspects mentioned in Manu Smriti which doesn’t stand the morales of today’s society. The beauty and magnanimity of Hinduism lies in evolving and adapting to the changing times unlike the rigidity professed by other dominant monotheistic Abrahamic religions. As Bhagwan Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita, change is the law of nature.

Preface

The very mention of the name Manu, even before proceeding any further, is greeted with utmost acerbity in Tamil Nadu. Inciting the emotions of the gullible masses with repeated falsehood and pitching them against the voiceless innocent has been the loathsome pastime of the Dravidian Stockists who thrive on hatred towards Hindu faith. The disturbing, disgusting fact is that almost all those critics do not possess any iota of knowledge either about Manu or his work. The poison has been ingrained so deep that their revulsion is a ridiculous reflex reaction. They have neither patience nor proclivity to pore over or probe into the truths and revise their perspective.

It All Started When

The westerners who visited our nation centuries ago found out to their utter shock that we were enjoying a harmonious social system with all sections of the society functioning with charm, charity and cordiality, while they were leading a vagabond, vagrant, uncultured dog-eats-dog life. They could not swallow that ours has been an admirable system. In order to spoil it, they studied our scriptures with nefarious intention, translated them in such a way as to convey a completely wrong message. Also during the 1857 revolt the British saw the Hindus’ unity throughout the nation which they knew was a threat to their political dominance and a stumbling block for their evangelical mission. So, with the sole aim of dividing them, they focussed on Hindu scriptures to falsify them and create enmity among different sections. Manu Smriti became their weapon. As it is, there are as many as fifty versions of Manu Smriti with many translations in English, many of them with the sole, sinister aim of presenting it as a work detrimental to the desideratum of the common people. Today, our present militant activists, propelled by their missionary masters, have chosen the most damaging version among them written by the likes of the notorious Max Mueller, William Jones etc. to give legitimacy to their spirited tirade.

Who Is Manu?

Contrary to popular perception, Manu is not a person but a position. There are 14 Manus according to Hindu philosophy. In the Hindu cosmology, time is divided into kalpa (aeon), in which the universe undergoes cycles of birth and death. The birth of the universe marks the beginning of a new kalpa. Each kalpa consists of fourteen Manvantaras, and each Manvantara is headed by a different Manu.

When performing a ritual, mantras are recited during the sankalpam which is used to represent space time. The phrase “Vaivaswata Manvantare” that comes as part of the sankalpam mantra is basically saying that we are in Vaivaswata Manu period, denoting a point in space-time. Vaivaswata Manu is the 7th in the list of 14 Manus.

And guess who is Vaivasta?

Vaivasvata was the king of Dravida (present day south India) when the great deluge happened. Upon being warned by Matsya (the fish avatar of Lord Vishnu), he built a boat that carried the Vedas, his family and the seven sages of Hinduism to safety, with Matsya helping them tide over the deluge.

So, basically Vaivasvata Manu is a pakka Tamil Dravidian if one has to view him on puritan lens.

What Is Manu Smriti?

The date of Manu Smriti cannot be ascertained but it is one of the earliest text in literature. It may pre-date even the two ithihasas, Ramayana and Mahabharata. The author of the Smriti is considered as Swayambhuva Manu, the first among the fourteen Manus.

The codes developed by Manu were for administration of society of the prevalent times. In the authentic original Sanskrit version of Manu Smriti, there are twelve chapters consisting of 2435 verses.

The Science In Manu Smriti

The first chapter describes the origin of the universe and the evolution of the species in a cogent, convincing manner. While going through it, the reader will be struck with admiration and awe at the accuracy with which those facts are validated by the present scientific discoveries.

Precise analysis of above said Shlokas, reveals, particularly Shloka 12 & 13, these are exactly what Big Bang Theory says!

The big bang theory is as follows: Our universe is thought to have begun as an entity; which was minuscule, infinitely hot, infinitely dense. Where did it come from? We don’t know. Why did it appear? We don’t know. This subtle entity; apparently; exploded and expanded and the universe came into existence. After very, very long time, it got cooled. It continues to expand till date. All planets and other heavenly bodies were formed step by step. This is the Big Bang theory. Before big bang there was nothing, not even time.

Shloka 5 to 13 of Manu Smriti, explains exactly what Big bang theory explained and in even a better way, as Big Bang theory is unable to answer, what is an “entity” and where did it come from. But, Manu; in shloka 5 to 13; explained it in a better way and thoroughly. That entity was christened as ‘Brahmam’.

Thus, one can find science of the evolution of universe in written in these Hindu scriptures eons ago. Such similar phenomenon is written in many other scriptures, also like Vishnu Purana, Varaha Purana, Brahmanda Purana and Brahmavaivarta Purana etc. Later, Manu explained, in shloka 63 to 74, the expected time of creation of our earth before 4.32 billion years, which is almost equal to what is said in big bang theory, i.e., 4.5 billion years.

Science In Bible And Quran

The holy books of other religions, though much more recent than Manu Smriti,  contain numerous scientifically absurd notions, bordering on idiocy.

Bible states that the earth was created in six days. Man was created at the end of the sixth day.

Value of ‘Pi’ is mentioned as ‘3’ in the Bible. Kings 7:23-26 (King James Version of The Bible) and also in Chronicles 4:2-5 (KJV)

The firmament above is claimed to be a solid “roof” over the world. It is described in Genesis 1:6-8 (KJV).

Bible implies that the sun moves around the Earth, rather than the Earth rotating.

”The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. —Ecclesiastes 1:5

Quran 71:19

And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out).

Our local ‘reformers’ dare not mention even a single one from them. They are very much aware that if they enter into that area, volcanoes will erupt and heads will fall (Sar Tan Se Juda). But, they will freely take the liberty of nitpicking a few ideas from Hindu edicts, which may not be suitable for application in present day world, blow them out of proportion and condemn the entire work.

Statecraft In Manu Smriti

In the subsequent chapters, rules and regulations for each section of the society, duties of the householder, wife, children, king’s responsibilities, law and order, crime and punishment, law of karma, duties and their rewards, purpose of life and finally guidance for ultimate realisation are all described in great detail.

Manu is quite strict while prescribing the attributes of a king (can be considered for a political leader in the present day).

Slokam 7.44

इन्द्रियाणां जये योगं समातिष्ठेद्दिवानिशम् ।

जितैन्द्रियो हि शक्नोति वशे स्थापयितुं प्रजाः ॥ ७.४४॥

Meaning: Day and night he must strenuously exert himself to conquer his senses; for he (alone) who has conquered his own senses, can keep his subjects in obedience.

Meaning: For a king who is attached to the vices springing from love of pleasure, loses his wealth and his virtue, but (he who is given) to those arising from anger, (loses) even his life.

Meaning: Tale-bearing, violence, treachery, envy, slandering, (unjust) seizure of property, reviling, and assault are the eightfold set (of vices) produced by wrath.

Slokam 7.49

द्वयोरप्येतयोर्मूलं यं सर्वे कवयो विदुः ।

तं यत्नेन जयेत्लोभं तज्जावेतावुभौ गणौ ॥ ७.४९॥

Meaning: That greediness which all wise men declare to be the root even of both these (sets), let him carefully conquer; both sets (of vices) are produced by that.

Meaning: (On a comparison) between vice and death, vice is declared to be more pernicious; a vicious man sinks to the nethermost (hell), he who dies, free from vice, ascends to heaven.

Manu Smriti And Thirukkural

There are many parallels between Manu Smriti and Thirukkural. Some of the aspects of morality, statecraft, and the greatness of a ruler mentioned in Manu Smriti are scattered across several chapters of Thiruvalluvar’s Thirukkural. The above mentioned Slokas on moral qualities of a ruler finds place in the following Kurals.

Kural 920

இருமனப் பெண்டிரும் கள்ளும் கவறும்
திருநீக்கப் பட்டார் தொடர்பு.

Meaning: Fortune leaves those whose friends are wantons, wine and dice.

Kural 126

ஒருமையுள் ஆமைபோல் ஐந்தடக்கல் ஆற்றின்
எழுமையும் ஏமாப் புடைத்து

Meaning: Like a tortoise, withdraw your five senses in one birth, to protect you in the next seven.

Here are some other commonalities between Thirukkural and Manu Smriti.

Social Equality In Manu Smriti

Manu Smriti contains lot of progressive, reformative, futuristic statements.

A few instances are provided below:

It is said that nobody is a Brahmin simply by birth. All are Shudras only. Eligibility for Brahmin-hood is observance of strict rules.

जन्मना जायते शूद्रः कर्माण द्विज उच्यते

By birth, everyone is sudra. Only by action, one becomes a dwijan.

शूद्रो ब्राह्मणतामेति ब्राह्मणश्चैति शूद्रताम।

क्षत्रियाज्जातमेवं तु विद्याद्वैश्यात्तथैव च।

A sudra can become a brahmin and a brahmin, sudra. Also, a kshatriya or a vaisya can also turn into other varna. It is all by their knowledge only.

Skanda Puranam also makes a similar statement:

जन्मना जायते शूद्रः संस्काराद्द्विज उच्यते ॥

(स्कन्दपुराण)

A person is a sudra by birth, it is through good activities that one is called a Brahmin

Here is a bombshell for our local zealots by the famous German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche!

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 – 1900) claimed that the Hindu caste system was simply the ratification of an order of nature in his book The Anti-Christ (1895) – “The order of castes, the supreme, the dominating law, is only the sanctioning of a natural order” (Nietzsche, 2003a: p. 189).

Arguably, this claim by Nietzsche is an expression of how much he admires the Hindu caste system.

Women Empowerment In Manu Smriti

Our half baked critics claim that women were not treated properly by Manu in his work. They will be surprised to note that he excels even present day reformists in his progressive dicta! Here they are:

Verse 9.89

काममामरणात्तिष्ठेद्गृहे कन्यार्तुमत्यपि ।

न चैवैनां प्रयच्छेत्तु गुणहीनाय कर्हि चित् ॥ ९.८९॥

Meaning: Father should not hurriedly give his daughter in marriage to a bad guy.

Verse 9.90

त्रीणि वर्षाण्युदीक्षेत कुमार्यर्तुमती सती ।

ऊर्ध्वं तु कालादेतस्माद्विन्देत सदृशं पतिम् ॥ ९.९०॥

Meaning: After waiting for three years, a girl can choose her partner.

Verse 9.91

अदीयमाना भर्तारमधिगच्छेद्यदि स्वयम् ।

नैनः किं चिदवाप्नोति न च यं साऽधिगच्छति ॥ ९.९१॥

Meaning: By doing so, neither she nor the groom is guilty

Compare this with the status/treatment of women in the two dominant Abrahamic religions.

Wives, Submit to Your Husbands — Ephesians 5:22-33

Women Should be at Home — Titus 2:3-5

Women Should Be Silent — 1 Corinthians 14:26-40

The Quran states clearly that women are to be subordinate to men in verse 4.34:

“Men stand superior to women in that God hath preferred some of them over others, and in that they expend of their wealth; and the virtuous women, devoted, careful (in their husbands’) absence, as God has cared for them. But those whose perverseness ye fear, admonish them and remove them into bed-chambers and beat them; but if they submit to you, then do not seek a way against them; verily, God is high and great.”

The Quran in Sura 2:228 says:
. . . Wives have the same rights as the husbands have on them in accordance with the generally
known principles. Of course, men are a degree above them in status . . . (Sayyid Abul A’La
Maududi, The Meaning of the Qur’an, vol. 1, p. 165)

The Quran in Sura 65:4 allows for older men to marry even girl who haven’t hit puberty.

This is what the Quran says for property rights of women. Sura 4:11 says that the share of the male shall be twice that of a female.

And then there is the practice of Triple Talaq.

There may be ideas and codes mentioned in the Manu Smriti that are irrelevant and may not be congruent to ideals of human rights that are there today. But, these codes are not eternal as evident from the fact that there are 14 Manus and none of them being in practice today.

Brahmins In Manu Smriti

There is a canard that Manu is pro-Brahmin and the Manu Smriti is meant for exerting the dominance of Brahmins over other communities. But, Manu is extremely strict with the conduct of Brahmins. Just one example: Brahmins are not supposed to drink liquor. If they do, here is the graphic description of the punishment:

सुरां पीत्वा द्विजो मोहादग्निवर्णां सुरां पिबेत् ।

तया स काये निर्दग्धे मुच्यते किल्बिषात्ततः ॥ ११.९०॥

If by chance, a brahmin consumes liquor, he will have to drink the same liquid boiling hot so that his body is completely scalded by it.

गोमूत्रमग्निवर्णं वा पिबेदुदकमेव वा ।

पयो घृतं वाऽ मरणाद्गोशकृद्रसमेव वा ॥ ११.९१॥

Or drink boiling ‘Panchakavyam’ till he dies.

An organised propaganda has been carried over several decades that the Brahmins are selfish, that they have framed laws to their complete advantage, detrimental to other sections of the society. The truth is exactly the opposite of it! As per the tenets of Sanatana Dharma, the strictest, stringent way of life is prescribed for them. He is not supposed to acquire wealth nor lead a comfortable life.

ब्राह्मणस्य तु देहोऽयं नोपभोगाय कल्पते । इह क्लेशाय महते प्रेत्यानन्तसुखायच ॥

The body of a brahmin is not for the purpose of enjoyment, but for a life of suffering and sacrifice, so that he can enjoy eternal bliss after shedding this mortal body.

How many of us know that, when he performs Sandhyavandanam three times a day, he is doing it not for his own welfare but for the entire society? Whether he is aware of it or not, he prays,

गायत्री छन्दसां मातेदं ब्रह्म जुषस्व नः|

Oh Gayatri Devi! You are the mother of all mantras. I meditate upon you for the welfare of all.

In fact, a Brahmin is not supposed to pray to God for his own benefit!

Till the advent of the British and the introduction of Macaulay education Brahmins had been living a frugal, exemplary life and guiding the society. In most of our old tales, you will only hear about “poor Brahmin”. In spite of the fact that they were treated with highest esteem in society, including the kings, they lived the most stoic, spartan, sparing life, eschewing any comfort, let alone luxuries. For instance, Chanakya, minister for emperor Chandragupta lived in a simple hut at the end of the town and during a cold night, denied himself use of woollen blankets kept with him meant for distribution to poor people the next day.

But, with the advent of English education, a can of worms had been opened and a permanent, irreversible pandemonium had set in. Yes, Brahmins because of their cultural and social capital have found it easy to accustom to changing times. To blame Brahmins for the present predicament of caste inequalities is preposterous.

Today, a large section of the Brahmins themselves don’t care or live by Manu Smriti. They are working across different domains and their way of life too has changed. Same is the case for other communities.  But even today, there exists a miniscule minority of a few poor brahmins who are silently swimming against the current and running Veda patashalas and this is an eyesore for the Dravidians/missionaries who are attempting to erase every sign of Sanatana Dharma.

Conclusion

Codes, laws and guidelines are meant to change over time. Reforms within Hindu society have happened and will continue to happen to adjust to the changing times.

At present, nobody is advocating observance of Manu’s tenets. We have our Indian constitution to follow. Manu Smriti is just a treatise in the library. So, where is the need to take it from the shelf, laboriously look for lapses and adopt it as an alibi for accusing Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma? Do they have any spine to even mention the copious nonsensical observations in the holy books of other religions? It is funny to note that if anyone else dare to point them out, the same fellows feverishly rush to the defence of other religions and condemn and castigate that individual!

The protagonists who attempt to propagate hatred and divide the Hindu society should realise that they cannot continue their game any longer. The present generation is well informed about all facts through the ocean of information available now. The days of blind subservience to the dictates of diabolical leaders are past. They cannot simply pander to the minorities, presuming that the Hindus will always be divided and can therefore be taken for granted. In short, their game is over.

“Close the Bible and open the Manu Smriti. It has an affirmation of life, a triumphing agreeable sensation in life and that to draw up a lawbook such as Manu means to permit oneself to get the upper hand, to become perfection, to be ambitious of the highest art of living.”

The Will to Power – Friedrich Nietzsche

DMK Lok Sabha MP Accused Of ‘Kicking’ Sacred Bricks, Abuses Own Party Cadres For Having Hindu Prayers At Bhoomi Pooja Ceremony

Amidst the furore over DMK MP A. Raja’s anti-Hindu comments, yet another Lok Sabha MP of the DMK has resorted to abusing the Hindu faith.

At a Bhoomi Pooja ceremony organized in his constituency, DMK MP from Dharmapuri S. Senthilkumar has reportedly kicked the sacred bricks and abused his own party cadres for conducting Bhoomi Pooja as per Hindu traditions.

A library is being constructed at a cost of ₹50 lakh on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government at the Vallal Athiyaman complex in Athiyamankottai near Dharmapuri.

Dharmapuri District Collector Shanthi, Dharmapuri MLA S.P. Venkateswaran, DMK MP Senthilkumar and others participated in the event.

DMK MP Senthilkumar is said to have kicked the sacred bricks laced with turmeric and vermilion kept for the Bhoomi Pooja opposing the Hindu rituals being conducted.

This reportedly led to a commotion with even DMK cadres objecting to the MP’s anti-Hindu and abusive behaviour. They said that it is better if the MP doesn’t come to such functions in future.

In a video shared widely on social media, the DMK MP while seated in his car can be seen abusing his  people for perfoming Bhoomi Pooja with Hindu rituals. He had angrily told the DMK’s Union Secretary Shanmugam to not call him for such event hence forth.

“I can tell once or twice. Do you want me to create a ruckus everytime? These wretched people!”, the DMK MP can be seen abusing as he leaves in his car.

Senior DMK member from Nalampalli Panchayat said that Senthilkumar had come and kicked the sacred bricks kept for the ceremony. He noted that the MP’s behaviour was very disrespectful and that the DMK cadres condemn this behaviour.

People also noted that they will give a befitting lesson when he comes asking for votes next time.

A report by The New Indian Express quoted the DMK MP saying that he won’t participate if there is a ‘Bhoomi Pooja’.

“I also specifically said that I will not participate if there is any saffron or turmeric painted on the brick. But the instructions were not followed. DMK practices Dravidian model and in this everyone must be included. Favouring one ceremony belonging to a particular religion is unfair.

He also noted that he stands by his actions and that he prefers not to be invited where such Bhoomi Pooja functions are held.

This is not the first time that the DMK MP had made a scene for organizing Bhoomi Pooja ceremony.

Earlier in July 2022, the DMK MP who had gone to attend a Bhumi Pooja function of a lake restoration project in his constituency blurted out at government officials and forcefully stopped the traditional Hindu prayers from happening in an attempt to ‘secularize’ the event.

BJP Supporter And Political Researcher Arrested For Posters Mocking TN CM MK Stalin

Krishna Kumar Murugan, a political researcher who is known for tweeting data points countering DMK, was arrested on Wednesday (21 September 2022) in the case of alleged ‘defamatory’ posters caricaturing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Tamil magazine Junior Vikatan, in its issue dated 7 September 2022 had featured a caricatural image of BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai hanging from a deflated balloon with the caption “Annamalai busssss”.

The alleged investigative article had made critical remarks about the BJP Tamil Nadu head.

In an attempt to counter this, posters were stuck at different places across Chennai on 11 September 2022, which had a similar caricature with Annamalai’s face and name replaced with that of MK Stalin’s.

This poster had enraged DMK cadres with the DMK’s Harbour East Secretary registering a police complaint.

Apparently, there are restrictions to paste posters in areas under the Greater Chennai Corporation. Rajkumar, Assistant Engineer of Chennai Corporation Zone Five, had reportedly lodged a complaint with the police in regard to the poster. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.

According to reports, the police, who investigated the matter, arrested three people, Philipraj from Washermanpet, Hindu Jananayaga Munnani Chennai Secretary Satyanathan and Sivagrunathan.

The investigation revealed that Sivagrunathan had printed 5,000 posters in Sivakasi and sent them to Satyanathan and Philipraj in Chennai. Sivagurunathan, Satynathan and Philipraj reportedly have various cases against them. Reportedly, these posters were pasted on the instructions of Krishna Kumar Murugan.

Contrary to media reports claiming that Krishna Kumar went into hiding, he was picked up by the police during the day when he was at his office in Adyar.

Krishna Kumar is currently lodged at the Central Jail in Puzhal.

This is not the first time that the DMK government has cracked down on its critics.

Recently, YouTuber Karthik Gopinath was arrested over the issue of raising money for temples at Siruvachur in Perambalur district.

Earlier, Maridhas was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police for a video about Tablighi Jamaat and for a tweet that came in the light of the late Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat.

However, the DMK government received a knock on the head from the Madras High Court which quashed the FIRs registered against the YouTuber.

Prior to that Kishore K Swamy, another vocal critic of the DMK was slapped with Goondas Act and was incarcerated for 6 months.

Very recently, the Tamil Nadu Police had filed FIRs against the editors of Tamil magazine Vikatan, Maridhas and political commentator ‘Savukku’ Shankar for speaking about G Square, a real-estate firm with alleged ties to the DMK family.

“Will Peel Your Skin With Your Manusmriti & Bhagwad Gita”: Scam-Tainted DMK MP Barks Again, Tries To Split Hindus Pitting Other Castes Against Brahmins

Even before the dust could settle on his earlier unpleasant remarks on Hindus, DMK MP A. Raja has added more fuel to the fire unleashing a tirade against Hindus and the Tamil Brahmin community in particular.

Speaking at the ‘Mupperum Vizha’ of the DMK, the scam-tainted former Union Minister sought to divide Hindus by villainizing Tamil Brahmins and pitting other Hindu communities against them.

Throughout his speech, Raja singled out and targeted the Tamil Brahmin community saying that they are ‘Sanatana Hindus’ while other Hindu communities like Gounders, Vanniyars, Thevars, Chettiars, Nadars are ‘Saamaniya (ordinary) Hindus’.

Taking a jibe at Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Minister Sekarbabu, DMK MP A. Raja said “…Sekarbabu, wears that (saffron) veshti, smears sacred ash on the forehead and then raises slogans like ‘Long live Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin, long live Kalaignar, long live Anna, Periyar is our base’, won’t it be like a thunder to them (referring to Tamil Hindus)? It is to give that thunder this Mupperum Vizha is organized”.

Narrating about the incident surrounding the passage of Hindu Code Bill, the DMK MP took to slandering conservative Hindus of Nehru cabinet addressing them in singular saying “those Hindus who opposed the bill were full and full those sacred thread wearing (Brahmins) Hindus.”

Citing Agnihotram Ramanuja Thathacharya’s Hindu Matham Enge Pogiradhu, he went on to peddle that the Brahmins in the Agraharams were raging about the Hindu Code Bill as they considered giving property rights might cause women to lose their character.

“Gounder isn’t angry, Chettiar isn’t angry, Naidu isn’t angry, Nadar isn’t angry, Vanniyar isn’t angry. Who is angry? Avaal (Brahmins)”, the DMK MP said. Avaa/Avaal is a Dravidian Stockist term used to stereotype and slander Tamil Brahmin community.

He claimed that while science and ‘Dravidian Movement’ has broken caste-based professions, the last vestiges of Brahminical forces still remains in temples.

In an attempt to further demonize Tamil Brahmin community, he said that members of the community usurped lands of Mukkulathors (Thevars), Paraiyars, Pallars, during Chola times as Chaturvedimangalam villages and went on to imply that Tamil Brahmin community people are ‘freeloaders’.

Peddling the Aryan invasion myth, the DMK MP said “Getting everything for free and squatting here coming from distant lands ruling in the name of religion, today you are saying there should be no freebies”.

“You call us enemies of Hindus. I am not able to understand. For the past 100 years in Tamil Nadu, you Brahmins, if any good has happened to Hindus, if not for us – the Dravidian Movement, tell me who else is the reason for it!”, the DMK MP shouted antagonizing the Brahmin community.

“In 1951, when reservation for the backward classes was brought, not for the depressed classes who were given reservation by the British… when reservation for Mukkalthors, Nadars, Vanniyars, Chettiyars, Kongu Vellala Gounders, Naatu Gounders, Mudaliars, was brought who stopped it? They are all Hindus right?”, the DMK MP said.

The DMK MP resorted to demagoguery saying “When demand for reservation was made for these 50% Hindus, who are those 2 Brahmins who went to court to deny it? They are also Hindu right?”

Driving a wedge in the Hindu community by pitting other communities against Tamil Brahmins, the DMK MP said “The 3% Hindus who are going against 50% Hindus, who are those 3% Hindus? Those who put case that 50% Hindus should not study, or go to college, or get employment, are they Muslims or Christians? It was the Hindu who put case right? So, there comes 2 Hindus isn’t it? Working class Hindus are on one side, the other side is the Hindus who eat without working. They are ‘Sanatana Hindus’. The other working Hindus are ‘Samaniya Hindus’ (ordinary Hindus).”

“We are now changing our slogan. We are Hindus only. But you are a different Hindu, I am a different Hindu. Those Hindus who don’t speak of equality are Sanatana Hindus. The Hindus who say ‘everybody is equal, everybody should study, everything should be given for everyone’ heading towards Bharathidasan’s dreams! To these Hindus for whom the leaders are Thanthai Periyar, Anna, Kalaignar, MK Stalin. They aren’t leaders for you (Sanatana Hindus). For you, the leader is ‘Sankarachari’. Keep it. Who bothers!”, he said.

“From now on let’s peddle that there are two Hindus. Sekarbabu, you don’t have a problem right? So from today, Sanatana Hindu (referring to Tamil Brahmins) is our enemy. The cursed ordinary Hindu –  who was oppressed by caste, who lived as an oppressed and depressed without out education and literacy, the one who was made a slave for hundreds of years, the one who was protected by Periyar, Anna, Kalaignar, Dravidian Movement – to these cursed ordinary Hindu, we are everything. Yes, we are Hindus not in your sense.”, the DMK MP exclaimed.

He also said that there are many who are confusing people saying Hindus have changed since the coming of Constitution. “So, you mean to say you were not wearing poonool (sacred thread) before Constitution and wearing only now? What have you changed? To whom are you bluffing?”, the DMK MP said.

“They’re threatening to put a case on me saying that I’ve made defamatory remarks. I am waiting for that day. Come, put a case on me. By reading your Manusmriti and Bhagwad Gita, if I don’t expose you by peeling your skin, I am not Kalaignar’s son.”, the DMK MP challenged implying that he will quote verses from Bhagwad Gita in court to justify his stance.

Earlier while speaking at an event organized by Dravida Kazhagam, the scam-tainted MP said “You’re a Shudra till you remain a Hindu. You’re a son of the prostitute till you remain a Shudra. You’re a Panchaman (Dalit) till you remain a Hindu. You’re an untouchable till you remain a Hindu. How many of you wish to stay as children of prostitutes? How many of you wish to remain untouchable? Only if we’re vocal about these questions, it will become elemental in breaking Santhana (Sanatana Dharma).”

After his speech snow-balled into a controversy with local Hindus in his constituency Nilgiris and adjacent regions downing the shutters of their businesses as a mark of protest, the DMK MP resorted to defending his stance at another even by quoting EV Ramasamy Naicker.

“Let Women Decide How They Want To Be Attired”: Sadhguru On Iran Hijab Row

At a time when women in Iran are protesting against the compulsory wearing of hijab, Yoga guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has extended his solidarity saying that women should decide for themselves how they want to dress themselves.

In a tweet, Sadhguru said “Neither the religious nor the lecherous should determine how women should dress. Let women decide how they want to be attired. May this retributive culture of punishing someone for what they wear be put to an end, religious or otherwise.”

Iran is seeing unrest with women taking to the streets condemning the death of Mahsa Amini a 22-year-old woman who died in Tehran, Iran, under suspicious circumstances while in police custody, potentially due to police brutality.

Dravidian Model Atheism: A Derisive, Derogatory, Deceitful, Dishonest Model

‘You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.’ – Abraham Lincoln.

Prelude – Atheism And Moral Values

Here are a few quotes from famous atheists from which we can deduce their respective philosophical approach to life.

Aristotle Greek philosopher – “Men create gods after their own image”

Benjamin Disraeli English politician and novelist – “Where knowledge ends, religion begins.”

Thomas Edison American inventor – “Religion is all bunk.”

Benjamin Franklin American statesman and inventor – ‘The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason.”

Thomas Jefferson American president – “Question with boldness even the existence of a god.”

Bertrand Russell British mathematician and philosopher – “Where there is evidence, no one speaks of ‘faith.’ We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round.”

George Bernard Shaw Irish-born English playwright – “The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one.”

Percy Bysshe Shelley English poet – “There is no God.”

Mark Twain American writer – “Faith is believing what you know ain’t so.”

Just look at the clean and succint way in which these stalwarts have put forth their views on God.

Atheism In Sanatana Dharma

Coming to our Our Sanatana Dharma, it also deliberates and debates on ‘Atheism’. Our sages, seers and saints were so sure, sanguine, confident about their precepts, premises, postulates, perspectives and prescriptions that they freely encouraged discussion on atheism among the disciples and their guru. It is christened as charvaka [sweet tongue] or lokayata [materialistic] philosophy. There are six ways [called ‘Shat Dharsanam’] of investigating in detail, analysing threadbare and interpreting the ultimate truth about the relationship among the three facets of life viz., the individual, the universe and the Almighty.

Atheism And Moral Values

There is an erroneous impression that all atheists are, ipso facto, loathsome, libertine, licentious, ignoble, immoral infidels, inasmuch as they feel comfortable at the belief that they are free from answering to any invisible authority. But, it is not so. There are immaculate, righteous atheists as well as dishonest, wicked theists. Virtue and vice are not axiomatically synonyms for theism and atheism. Most of the famous atheists in history had lived an exemplary social life, serving mankind with vigour, veracity and vitality. It is pertinent to note that Buddhism and Jainism are rebellious off shoots of Sanatana Dharma, preaching atheism, but they impose strictest mandates on moral values.

Dravidian Model Atheism: A Derisive, Derogatory, Deceitful, Dishonest Model

Now, coming to Dravidian atheism, it does not conform to any pedantic hypothesis. It is just an absurd and anomalous, aberrant and abhorrent amalgam of assorted assumptions that will conveniently change its colour in a chameleon fashion to cheat credulous masses. Their choice of the atheist paradigm is propelled primarily by the postulate that acceptance of a divine power will hinder one from freely indulging in immoral, illicit, ignoble activities. It is not any intellectual pursuit. To christen it as ‘atheism’ itself is an affront to genuine atheism. Only in Tamil Nadu, one can witness the bizarre spectacle of ‘rational’ leaders pasquinading at orthodox hindus’ worship of deities during their birth dates and simultaneously visiting the tombs of their respective luminary and performing all the paraphernalia as if that dead fellow is watching them from inside! They have absolutely no qualms in stealthily conducting the annual religious rituals with all formalities, engaging the same brahmin priests whom they publicly abuse. Recently, we witnessed the ridiculous spectacle of their offering ‘Curd Vada’ at the altar of their rationalist leader, since it happened to be his favourite delicacy during his life time! This is ‘Dravidian Model’ of atheism!

Their original mentor, EV Ramaswamy, though born in an orthodox family with an ancestry soaked in religious activities, himself was, even as described by his own biographers, a black sheep in his family; an artless, lowbrow, philistine, roaming around irreverently, insolently, irresponsibly. The elders’ attempt to rehabilitate him through the bondage of marriage, so that he turns into a sober and sedate person was futile. Since acceptance of a super power supervising our activities and dispensing reward and punishment was not a comfortable feeling, he embraced atheism. It must be noted that his atheism is confined only to defame and denigrate hindu gods and beliefs. He dare not enter into beliefs of other religions.

The Missionary Dravidian Nexus

The backdrop in Tamil Nadu during his time was significant. Christian missionaries were frantically, fiercely engaged in proselytizing the hindu masses and forcing them into conversion through manifold methods. The biggest stumbling block for them was the abiding, ageless, amaranthine faith of the values ingrained in the people and the spiritual guidance provided by the learned brahmin community. So, they condemned hindu religion and they fortunately found an articulate ally in EV Ramaswamy. A copacetic relationship developed between the evangelists and the dravidian clan.

E.V. Ramasamy Naicker

EV Ramaswamy reviled and ridiculed not only hindu deities, but hurt and humiliated all their precepts and practices. He went to the extent of proclaiming, ‘He who created god was a fool; he who spreads his name is a scoundrel and he who worships him is a barbarian’. His views on other matters like Tamil literature, traditional practices, freedom movement, or other popular leaders of his time were so outlandishly comical and crazy that one will go to the extent of suspecting his sanity! But, his followers have subsequently ensured with meticulous care, that such extreme eccentric expressions are not prominently publicised.

Brahmins, a sober and sedate, stoic and stolid section of the hindus were his select targets and ergo they suffered untold harm from him and from the thugs who were his followers. They cut the tuft, holy thread of the brahmins, burnt their holy scriptures, vandalised their veda patashalas. The violence was so overwhelming that the poor brahmins either left their religious practices or left Tamil Nadu for better and brighter livelihood elsewhere.

But, EVR must be ‘credited’ with one attribute. He was doggedly obdurate in his core principles which he articulated in a rude, rough, rigid fashion, unmindful of the sentiments of the audience. While it was ambrosia for his few followers, it was anathema to the other general public. He continued to be unyielding, unrelenting, steadfast, stubborn throughout his public life. He had a coterie of cretinous disciples as he himself had brazenly declared that he wants only nitwits since they will obey his nonsensical commands without questioning. And he had plenty of them!

CN Annadurai

EVR’s successor CN Annadurai was of a slightly different stuff. He had the gift of the gab in abundance with which he could mesmerise the masses effortlessly. Initially, he was also as assertive and absolute as his master in expressing anti-hindu atheistic ideas in an aggressive, annoying, abominable manner. He had extensively criticised hindu pantheon of Gods and Goddesses in all his speeches and writings ad libitum. Later, especially after becoming the Chief Minister, with the motive of retaining the political popularity earned through his flowery flow of elocution, he modified his credo into ‘Onre kulam; oruvane devan’. [Only one race of mankind and only one God.]

M Karunanidhi

M Karunanidhi, who took over charge at the demise of CN Annadurai continued to commit himself to the concept of dravidian atheism smoothly and successfully. Sharp and skilful in stinging, sarcastic, sardonic satire that he was, his speeches and writings were potent and powerful, poignant and piercing. He continued the tirade against hindu deities, customs and practices with verve and vigour in the same fashion as his predecessors. In fact, he was more acrid and acerbic, blunt and boorish than Annadurai, who had had the knack of blending his expressions with liberal sense of humour. He went to the extent of branding all hindus as thieves. With the advantage of the advent of television and other modern modes of communication, Karunanidhi knavishly gained control of the complete media through which he injected slow poison deep into the minds of the people with salacious, scornful, scurrilous scripts on all the sacred hindu beliefs.

Dravidian Model Atheism Belongs In The Dustbin

After the exit of Karunanidhi, with the advent of internet network and the availability of infinite information at fingertips, the climate has completely metamorphosed. ‘Dravidian model’ atheism had passed its expiry date. Now, people do not fall an easy prey to florid, flowery, flamboyant falsehood of fraudsters anymore. While the dravidian parties depended on solid minority vote bank, simultaneously taking for granted the votes of the dispersed hindu votes, it is no longer so. Therefore, to baffle and befuddle the hindus and to ensure that they do not congregate into a united force, novel modus operandis are being conceived now. Attempts are made to revive the fabricated defunct fiction of Aryan-Dravidan theory again. A divide is being made between deities and claims are proferred that one set of deities belong to Tamil Nadu while a few are brought down from the ‘north’, viz., Tirumal vs Vishnu, Murugan vs Subramanian, Sivan vs Rudran etc. through fake orators masquerading as religious exponents. Also, to confuse and confound the credulous masses further, during election seasons, either the leaders themselves or their relatives visit temples, mutts and other holy places with extensive visual coverage through media. Only in Tamil Nadu one can witness a perplexing phenomenon of dravidian leaders visiting temples with their kith and kin, performing in private, special pujas for liquidation of their political rivals and simultaneously doing everything to the detriment of the temples and their properties as well as hurting the sentiments and beliefs of the devotees.

Their aim evidently is two-fold:

To plunder the enormous wealth of hindu temples for their personal gain and at the end render them bankrupt and destroy them.

To baffle and befuddle the hindu devotees, by constantly ridiculing their deities, their religious practices and customs, so that they gradually lose faith in them, thus creating an accordant atmosphere that will provide a free and fertile field for favourable harvesting by the christian missionaries.

Postscript

Apropos the saying of Abraham Lincoln at the beginning, let us see how fast and how facilely Tamil Nadu people wake up from the stupor of pestilential Dravidian Tasmac toxicity, regain their sanity and sobriety and eliminate and expurgate the vile, vicious virus. After all, ‘If winter comes, can spring be far behind?’

Christian Group Holds Illegal Prayer Meetings, Perform Rites To Bodies In Residential Locality Near Avinashi

A Christian group named The Layman’s Evangelical Fellowship International has reportedly been organizing illegal prayer meetings and perfoming funeral rites to dead bodies at a residential locality near Avinashi in Tirupur district.

Locals of Nehru Nagar, a residential area near Avinashi town, note that many outsiders have been coming to their area and organizing ‘Jeba Kootam’ (evangelical prayer meetings) at causing nuisance.

They also note that dead bodies are being brought from outside and funeral rights being performed causing mental agony to the residents.

As a mark of their protest against the Christian group, the residents have tied black flags outside their homes.

They also registered their protest by playing Hindu devotional songs outside the illegal prayer house.

“They’re bringing dead bodies here. Children are getting scared. They also abuse the ladies and our Gods. They are abusing us as stone worshippers. They say those who watch TV are sinners. Children feel scared to even come out. We’ve petitioned different authorities but no one has taken any action. So, we’ve decided to raise black flags and carrying out peaceful protest.”, a resident said addressing  reporters.

Another lady noted that they had given a petition to the District Collector. The Tahsildar had asked the Christian group to get the necessary permission to hold these prayer meetings but they’ve continued to act in violation, she said.

The locals have threatened to protest at the main road if no action is taken against the Christian group.
