Anti-Hindi Protests A Decoy, Says Dr. Krishnasamy

Puthiya Tamilagam Chief Dr. Krishnasamy has slammed the DMK for using the anti-Hindi imposition protest and opposition to Governor RN Ravi as a shield to conceal its defeat in governance.

Puthiya Tamilagam Party held a party functionary meeting at a private wedding hall in Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi district, headed by its President Dr. Krishnasamy. Following this, a protest was held in front of the Kovilpatti taluk office, condemning the DMK government and demanding that the electricity tariff increase be reversed.

Dr. Krishnasamy, who spoke to the Press after the protest, said, ” The DMK stated in its last election manifesto that electricity readings would be taken once a month. However, the DMK government has raised the electricity tariff. The DMK, which claims to be the Dravidian model, must fulfill its promise in words and action.”

He added,” Coimbatore is becoming a hub for terrorists. International conspiracies are centered around Coimbatore. A social harmony rally will be held in Coimbatore on November 17th to create harmony among people from all walks of life. It will be attended by people of all religions.”

He said, “Even after 18 months in power, the DMK has yet to implement a complete prohibition of alcohol in Tamil Nadu, despite having promised to do so. The DMK is breaking all of its promises. The DMK government has been criticizing the governor and using anti-Hindi protests to cover up its governance failures.” He added that the DMK government is fighting against the imposition of unimposed Hindi.

He further said, ” The price of milk has been hiked due to mismanagement in the Aavin department, and not because of an increase in procurement costs. The government should publish a white paper on milk procurement prices. The DMK will face backlash for raising milk prices in the near future.”

“Why didn’t the government take preventative measures when it was clear that rain would cause problems in Chennai? The DMK government is losing ground on a daily basis, and everyone from MPs to MLAs to panchayat leaders is involved in mineral looting,” he stated.

He concluded by saying, “DMK officials are illegally operating bars near TASMAC outlets. Everything is going wrong and against the promises made by the DMK government. When they are unable to carry out their promise of implementing the old pension scheme and resolving transport department issues, they resort to anti-Hindi imposition to conceal their failure in governance. Where is the imposition of Hindi? The DMK is giving the impression that Hindi is being imposed.”

Andhra SC Commission Chairman Accused Of Encouraging Church Planting And Conversions

A petition has been filed with the Governor of Andhra Pradesh against the Chairman of the state Scheduled Caste Commission over charges of encouraging church planting and conversions, falsely invoking SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, derogating Mahatma Gandhi, and acting against the orders of the Supreme Court.

Victor Prasad, the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission, has been accused of directing the Bapatla District Superintendent of Police to invoke sections of SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act against those who had objected to the construction of an illegal and unauthorized church in Pittavanipalem village of the district.

“This action of the Chairman of the AP State Commission for Scheduled Castes is highly detrimental to the larger interests of the people of the Scheduled Caste community in Andhra Pradesh.”, said the complaint filed by SC ST Rights Forum, a legal activism organization that work to safeguard legal and constitutional rights of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities.

The complaint also added that a person holding a constitutional position meant to safeguard the interests of SCs is encouraging church planting and conversions to Christianity by writing such letters as cited above to the police authorities.

“By no stretch of the imagination, objection to church construction can be construed as an ‘Act of Atrocity’ against members of Scheduled Caste. If accepted, the demand for inclusion of the provision of the SC-ST Prevention of Atrocity Act in the instant case will amount to gross abuse of legal and constitutional protection given to members of the SC community.”, the complaint noted, a copy of which has been accessed by The Commune.

Victor Prasad has also been accused of slandering and derogating Mahatma Gandhi. In a Facebook post he allegedly said that between the period of 20th to 24th of September, 1932, thousands of villages in India were attacked, houses of Scheduled Caste people were burnt down and thousands of people belonging to Scheduled Castes were murdered. He also alleged that, after the said incident, Dr B.R Ambedkar was blackmailed into accepting the Poona Pact instead of the Communal Award.

“This post has been preceded/followed up by emotional speeches by Sri Victor Prasad reiterating his position. This has led to serious discord between members of various communities and members of Scheduled Castes.”, the complaint said.

“Members of the Arya Vysya community who objected to remarks on Mahatma Gandhi were also issued serious warnings by members of SC organisations. Taking a cue from the remarks of Sri Victor Prasad, these organisations have been pushing forward the slander campaign against Mahatma Gandhi.”, the complaint filed by SC ST Rights Forum said.

Victor Prasad had also directed all District Collectors and District Superintendents of Police in Andhra Pradesh to give permission, support and protection for the installation of statues of Dr BR Ambedkar in public places stating that the Supreme Court verdict prohibiting the installation of statues in public places does not apply to the installation of statues of Dr BR Ambedkar.

However, the Supreme Court had stated that the State Government shall not grant any permission for installation of any statue or construction of any structure in public roads, pavements, sideways and other public utility places.

Following the above judgment of the Honourable Supreme Court, an order was passed by the Transport, Roads & Buildings Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh that states that permission shall not be granted for installation of any statue or construction of any structure in public roads, pavements, sideways and other public utility places.

The SC ST Rights Forum noted that Victor Prasad’s letter is in direct violation of the Supreme Court verdict and the order of the Andhra Pradesh Government.

“The acts of Shri M. Victor Prasad are tantamount to abuse of his powers and his further continuance in the position as Chairman of AP Scheduled Castes Commission is detrimental to the interests of the Scheduled Caste. Hence, we request you to order an inquiry into the activities of Sri M. Victor Prasad and issue suitable instructions to safeguard the interest of Scheduled Castes and avoid further rupturing of harmonious relations between members of various communities in the state of Andhra Pradesh.”, the complaint said.

TN Assembly Speaker Hails Macaulay, Says Christians Responsible For Social Reforms In TN

The Tirunelveli Social Service Society, an outfit of the Catholic Diocese of Palyamkottai had organized its golden jubilee at KTC Nagar in Tirunelveli on 4 November 2022.

Antonysamy Savarimuthu, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Palayamkottai presided over the event.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M. Appavu, DMK Minister Geetha Jeevan and Congress leader Peter Alphonse who is now the Chairman of State Minorities Commission participated in the event.

Speaking at the event, Appavu hailed Macaulay and the Christian missionaries saying that it was because of him

“I look back at one thing. Not many know how this community was earlier. Today, they’ve come to this level. Not all the people in the state could buy land. Not everybody could study. Only after Lord Macaulay came, he brought in a law that allowed everybody to study.”, the DMK leader said.

He also said that they (Christian missionaries) provided education without discriminating on the basis of caste or religion.

“The reverand brothers, sisters and fathers, they taught not for themselves but for anyone and everyone in this state. They have been teaching for 187 years but are being slandered now. If ‘they’ throw mud on you, this community should rise and ask. This community should question those who slander them.”, Appavu said.

The DMK leader also said that it was the Dravidian movement which spearheaded voting rights and education for women.

He also hailed the Irish Christian Missionary Amy Beatrice Carmichael who established the Dohnarvur Fellowship at Tirunelveli and worked against the Devadasi system by housing young women and children at her missionary.

“If these social reforms happened in the society, the ones solely responsible are the Catholic Diocese fathers, sisters and brothers, Christian organizations like Church of South India.”, Appavu added.

The DMK leader further said that the evolution of schemes like ‘Pudhumai Penn’ (₹1000 stifend for girl students) originated from the Church which the DMK government is implementing.

He told that CM Stalin will always stand by them and protect them.

“If you have any complaints, you can directly approach him.”, Appavu concluded.

This is not the first time that DMK MLA also holds the position of Assembly Speaker has resorted to communalization.

Earlier in June 2022, Speaker Appavu stoked a controversy saying that the MK Stalin-led government in the state was formed by Christians and for Christians.

Appavu openly admitted that the DMK came to power because of the ‘fasting’ and support of Roman Catholic Christians and that Chief Minister MK Stalin  acknowledges that the DMK government was installed with the help of Christians.

DMK Dairy Min Peddles Fake News About GST Being Levied For Milk

Tamil Nadu Minister for Milk and Dairy Development SM Nasar has peddled false information that the Central government has levied Goods & Service Tax (GST) for milk.

The DMK Minister was addressing a press meet on 4 November 2022 about the hike in milk prices of state-owned Aavin. The procurement price of cow milk has been increased from ₹32 to ₹35 and that of buffalo milk from ₹41 to ₹44 following which the price of Aavin’s full-cream milk (orange packet) has been increased by ₹12 to ₹60.

Elaborating on the rise in price, the DMK Minister said “The Union Government has levied GST for milk too. It is an unprecedented incident. As a consequence of levying GST for milk, the selling price of milk has gone up.”

The DMK Minister also justified the price rise saying that the price of the milk is less when compared to states like Gujarat and Karnataka which are ruled by the BJP.

It is to be noted that fresh milk and pasteurised milk are fully exempt from GST. Milk products like curd, lassi, butter milk are also exempted from GST if it is sold in form other than pre-packed and labelled. Only pre-packed and labelled milk products attract a 5% GST. 15% GST is levied on pre-packed and labelled butter, ghee, cheese and condensed milk.

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai lashed out at the DMK Minister for his ignorance about milk being exempted from GST.

“It is because of motor-mouth minister like him that the Tamil Nadu government is suffering from administrative problems.. The dairy development minister of the inefficient DMK regime is the one who does not even know that milk also has no GST. The inefficient DMK government should immediately roll back the milk price hike without telling lies in an irresponsible manner.”

DMK Ministers Skip Rajaraja Chozhan’s Birth Anniv Because Of Jinx?

Tamil Nadu Ministers reportedly boycotted the 1037th Sadhaya-Vizha (Birth Anniversary) of Rajaraja Chola held at Thanjavur Periya Koil.

Rajaraja Cholan’s 1037th birth anniversary was celebrated Thursday (Nov 3rd) at Thanjavur Periya Temple (Brihadeeswara Temple). Newspapers were printed and distributed on behalf of the Sadhaya Vizha committee, stating that Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister PK Shekharbabu and School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poiyamozhi will be present for the ceremony and ensure the success of the Sadaya Vizha.

In this situation, both ministers did not attend the Sadaya Vizha on November 3rd at Thanjavur Periya Koil. However, on the same day, the Thanjavur News Public Relations Department sent a message to the press stating that Information Minister M. P. Saminathan was on his way from Trichy to Kumbakonam to garland the statue of Rajaraja Cholan in Thanjavur. After some time, it was announced that the ministerial program had been cancelled.

Instead of participating in the 1037th Sadhaya Vizha program of Rajaraja Cholan held on behalf of the government in Thanjavur, Ministers M. P. Saminathan and Anbil Mahes Poiyamozhi both participated in the program held by a private organization at Pambapatayur near Kumbakonam.

It is widely assumed that the ministers of Tamil Nadu did not attend the Thanjavur Periya Koil program because they were afraid of the jinx that they would lose their positions if the ruling politicians attended the event in Thanjai Periya Kovil.

Drawing of ISIS flag, Jihad Flow Chart Recovered From Jameesha Mubin’s House In Coimbatore

An LPG cylinder burst inside a Maruti 800 car in Coimbatore at around 4.30 am on Sunday (Oct 23), causing the vehicle to explode. The explosion was initially believed to be an accident. A thorough investigation into the incident, however, showed that the cylinder explosion was a terrorist attack committed by Islamic terrorists during the Diwali festival.

Six men were detained by police and booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the incident. Some of them had previously visited Kerala, according to Coimbatore Commissioner Balakrishnan, and the NIA questioned them in 2019. Later, the case was transferred to National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Tamil Nadu government.

On November 2, the Coimbatore blast investigation has been taken over by the NIA, which carried out several raids. More incriminating evidence has been recovered from the house of the suicide bomber Mubin.

In the latest development in the Coimbatore car blast case, some drawings, including the ISIS flag, have been recovered from the deceased Jamesha Mubin’s residence, implying a clinching flow chart of jihad. According to the flow chart drawing, children and elders are weak, whereas youth are strong, so they must carry out jihad.

According to hand-drawn flow charts discovered in Mubin’s house, humans were classified as Kafirs (Arabic for infidels) and Muslims. One of them read that jihad is the responsibility of young people, not children or the elderly. A third described Hadees (a report attributed to the Prophet Muhammad).

“We will uproot anyone who dares to touch Allah’s house,” slate recovered from Mubeen’s home read.
warning was accompanied by an Arabic phrase.
A senior police officer said, “City police is also continuing searches at the houses of active members and functionaries of Muslim outfits to check if they have any connection with the suspects. Over 137 places have been searched in the last 10 days and surveillance of people suspected to have links with radicalized people and banned outfits continues.”

Governor RN Ravi: Our History Distorted Because Of Our Education System Designed By Foreigners

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has stated that Indian history has been distorted because we have been educated in manner designed by foreigners.

An event commemorating the day Kanyakumari district merged with Tamil Nadu was held in the Iraichakulam area near Nagercoil. He also said, “Indian history has been distorted because it has been studied in a manner written by foreigners. We need to restore it. The world is watching India closely.”

“We should recount the people who shed blood in the war that occurred on this day. Kumari district is a holy land. People should think about why we need to write our own history. The youth should remember that the Prime Minister has said that we will achieve development by 2047, ” he further stated.

DMK Govt Hikes Retail Price of Pasteurized Milk By ₹12

The DMK government has increased the retail price of Orange packet Aavin milk (pasteurized full cream milk) by ₹12 per litre. According to reports, the price increase is in response to a recent increase in government procurement prices by ₹3 in the purchase price of milk. This price change will take effect tomorrow (November 5).

According to the statement issued in this regard by Aavin, “Following the press release dated 03.11.2022, the procurement price of cow milk has been increased from ₹ 32 to ₹ 35 per litre, and the procurement price of buffalo milk has been increased from ₹ 41 to ₹ 44 per litre, effective 05.11.2022. Because of the price increase, the selling price must be increased to cover the additional cost. However, in the interests of consumers, the prices of Toned Milk (blue colour) and Standardized Milk (green colour) will remain unchanged.”

“The existing monthly cardholders will be given pasteurised milk for ₹ 46, but the price of pasteurised milk sold at retail price is revised to ₹ 60 per litre with effect from 05.11.2022. This price increase was necessary to offset the additional costs incurred by producers in providing a higher purchase price,” it added.

“Even after this price increase, Aavin’s pasteurised milk is ₹ 24 cheaper than private milk, and the retail price is ₹ 10 cheaper than private milk. Consumers, retailers and wholesalers are kindly requested to co-operate with Aavin as always, considering that this price change has been made in the interest of the manufacturers,” it concluded.

Kerala HC: Cannot Rely On Islamic Clerics To Decide On Matters Related To Muslim Personal Law

No Criminal Charges For Pre-2013 Waqf Property Occupation: Kerala High court wayanad

The Kerala High Court recently stated that it cannot rely on Muslim clerics who lack legal training to rule on Muslim personal law issues.

The court made the remark after dismissing a petition seeking a review of a previous ruling that held that a Muslim woman has the right to seek divorce unilaterally through a process known as ‘Khula.’

A division bench of justices Muhamed Mushtaq and CS Dias ruled that courts are not required to follow a Muslim scholar’s opinion.

The High Court in its order said,” This is a typical review portraying that Muslim women are subordinate to the will of their male counterparts. This review does not look innocuous at the instance of the appellant, but rather appears to have been fashioned and supported by clergies and the hegemonic masculinity of the Muslim community who are unable to digest the declaration of the right of Muslim women to resort to the extra-judicial divorce of khula, unilaterally.”

The appeal was filed in response to a divorce decree granted to a Muslim wife in accordance with the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act of 1939.

The court also stated that it will not be unduly influenced by the opinions of Islamic clergy who lack legal training. “There is no doubt that their opinion matters to the court in matters relating to beliefs and practises, and the court should give deference to their views,” the HC said.

The court further maintained that the Quranic verse relating to ‘khula’ found in Chapter 2, verse 229, in unequivocally declares that a Muslim wife has the right to terminate her marriage and this right can be restricted citing a hadith.
