On the 130th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, leaders from various political parties paid tribute to his statue on April 14. During this garlanding event yesterday, VCK goons attacked BJP and IMK cadres.
Following this incident, Arjun Sampath has called for a statewide protest on the 18th of this month, to condemn the assault on the BJP/IMK by VCK goons who prevented them from paying their respects to Dr. Ambedkar statue. IMK in a tweet said:

IMK also said, “we are Hindu dharma warriors who are never afraid of oppression. Revolutionary Ambedkar is not the property of any party. VCK cannot shrink him to a caste leader. we will continue to pay homage to the revolutionary with the saffron flag”
