Andhra CM Jagan’s sister YS Sharmila to launch party in Telangana

YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Friday said she would launch her political party in Telangana.

Addressing a public meeting in Khammam, about 200 KM from Hyderabad, Sharmila said more details like the outfit’s name and agenda would be announced on July 8.

She also said she would undertake a hunger strike in Hyderabad for three days from April 15 if notification for government jobs is not issued by the administration. The relay hunger strike would continue in every district by her party’s cadre and leaders until the demand is met, she further said.

YS Sharmila said that there is a necessity to float a political party to question the alleged corruption in the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government in Telangana. Her party is very much needed to question the KCR government on anti-people policies, she claimed.

“Though Telangana was formed seven years ago, peoples ambitions were not fulfilled,” she added.

Sharmila’s father late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, widely known as YSR, was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009 until he died in a chopper crash which took place in September 2009. Her brother Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Reddy is alleged to be responsible for the state-sponsored Christianization of the southern state.
