TVK Model: Govt School Students Allegedly Taken To Joseph Vijay Birthday Event During Class Hours In Kanchipuram; Video Triggers Outrage

A controversy has erupted near Kanchipuram after government school students were allegedly taken out of classes and transported to a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) function organised in connection with Chief Minister Vijay’s birthday celebrations.

According to reports, around 40 students studying at a Panchayat Union Middle School in JJ Nagar near Kanchipuram were taken from the school premises during class hours and transported by auto-rickshaws to a venue located approximately one kilometre away, where a TVK event was being held.

A video reportedly showing the students being taken to the function has since surfaced on social media, triggering criticism and raising questions about the use of schoolchildren for political events.

The incident has drawn strong reactions from parents and social activists, who questioned why students were allegedly removed from classrooms during instructional hours and taken to a political programme.

Parents and netizens have demanded a thorough inquiry into the circumstances under which the students were allegedly taken to the function. They have called for action against the teachers and school authorities responsible, if the allegations are found to be true.

Demands have also been made for action against the TVK functionaries involved in organising the event, with allegations that students’ educational interests were compromised for a political programme linked to the Chief Minister’s birthday celebrations.
