Tamil Nadu’s voters did something no one saw coming: they parked DMK and AIADMK on the opposition benches and elevated Thalapathy Vijay’s TVK to power. Within days, however, the new regime’s promise of “clean governance” is facing an uncomfortable question: who exactly is the Telugu businessman standing just behind the new Chief Minister in every key photograph?
At the centre of this story is one man: Vishnu Reddy.
The Telugu Advisor in Vijay’s CMO
Recent reports on the new administration note that Vijay has appointed two key advisers: John Arokiasamy as political advisor, and Vishnu Reddy as Advisor for Public Events and General Matters. According to these reports, Vishnu’s brief covers the Chief Minister’s public engagements, events, grievance meetings and related logistics, effectively making him the operations controller for Vijay’s public face.
He is also described as an Andhra‑origin granite businessman, who has been a close associate of Vijay for years, handling crowd logistics and ground arrangements through the campaign. His constant presence behind Vijay, including at the post‑results meeting with the Governor, triggered social‑media curiosity about “the Telugu guy” in every frame.
Indo Rocks LLP And The Chennai Link
Corporate records add a sharper edge to this story.
Data from multiple MCA‑based platforms show a Chennai‑registered entity called Indo Rocks LLP, classified under metals and minerals / mining and quarrying, with its registered office on Anna Salai, Chennai. The same databases list two designated partners (or equivalent directors) for Indo Rocks:
- Vishnu Reddy Yerradoddi
- Yeduguri Sandhinti (Sandhinti) Anil Reddy

This confirms that Vishnu Reddy, the Andhra granite businessman now sitting inside Vijay’s CMO, is also a co‑owner of a Chennai‑based rocks/granite LLP with a partner from the “Yeduguri Sandhinti” family – YS Anil Reddy.
YS Anil Reddy is reported to be the brother of former Andhra Pradesh CM YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy, who resides in Chennai.
It is noteworthy that YS Anil Reddy, whose name has surfaced in reporting on the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam, was seen meeting Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay in Chennai a few days ago. The meeting drew attention because of the controversy around his name and the political significance of his appearance with the Chief Minister.

ETV Bharat reported that the SIT found evidence pointing to his involvement, alleging that bribes of about Rs 50–60 crore a month were collected from distilleries and routed through intermediaries linked to him. Other reports say investigators raided his companies and examined possible shell-firm routes.
It is reported that Anil Reddy was previously involved in the liquor trade in Africa. He has also faced allegations of links to the sand mining scam during the YSRCP government, which was allegedly operated through JCKC and Pratima companies. It is also claimed that he conducted large-scale election surveys for the party and handled cash distribution to candidates.
As we have warned before, the Andhra liquor lobby’s entry into the TVK government is now official.
Close business partner of YS Anil Reddy has been appointed as advisor to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

The Bigger Question Is Who Really Gets Access To Power In The New Regime
For a government that came to power promising a break from the entrenched political-business nexus of the Dravidian era, the optics are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. The questions are no longer merely about who Vishnu Reddy is, but about why a businessman with deep corporate and political links outside Tamil Nadu now occupies such visible proximity to the Chief Minister’s inner circle.
The presence of a politically connected Andhra businessman inside the nerve centre of Tamil Nadu’s new administration, combined with documented business ties to a member of the YS family and the backdrop of serious allegations surrounding Andhra’s liquor and sand scandals, raises larger concerns about influence, access and accountability.
Vijay built his political rise on the promise that TVK would not become another power structure captured by unelected fixers, businessmen and backroom operators. Yet within days of taking office, the emergence of Vishnu Reddy as an unelected but highly visible gatekeeper around the Chief Minister has triggered precisely those anxieties.
