In a bizarre twist to the ongoing Sonam Wangchuk protest saga, adult film actress and social media personality Poonam Pandey has openly extended support to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its controversial campaign at Jantar Mantar.
Pandey, known more for her bold content and publicity stunts than political activism, jumped into the fray with posts and stories backing the group led by Abhijeet Dipke. Her endorsement comes as influencers and a section of celebrities try to build momentum for the July 20 gathering and planned march to Parliament.
Actress Poonam Pandey said, “I am here solely to support the students and fight for their cause. I know nothing about politics — I’m only here for the students, especially those kids who have committed suicide. I urge everyone not to turn this into a religious or political issue. Let it remain about the children. Many have already lost their lives…”
