“PM Modi is the real brand ambassador of Tamil language, culture and heritage”: BJP leader Tarun Vijay

Commenting on the Mann Ki Baat delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (June 27), former Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay  said that he is overwhelmed with joy to see PM Modi declaring Tamil as world’s oldest language. He said that each and every Indian must learn Tamil.

Tarun Vijay said that he knows Prime Minister Modi for the last thirty five years and can vouch that he is a genuine devotee of Tamil culture and heritage. He said that PM Modi is inspired by the timeless Thirukkural.

“In most of his speeches Tamil scriptures, relevant couplets from the Thirukkural is quoted. That is the impact the literary work has had on him”, Tarun Vijay said.

He also said that when he met him in Gujarat in 2013 on his birthday he presented  him a portrait of Tamil poet and freedom fighter Subramania Bharathiyar which he received with great delight.

Tarun Vijay said that PM Modi is the real ambassador of Tamil language, culture and heritage. He added that it was the Modi’s passion towards Tamil that inspired him to work for taking Thirukkural to nook and corner of the world.
