Mamata calls on BJP district VP and pleads him to help her win Nandigram assembly seat

As West Bengal went to the polls, a very desperate Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday (27 March) called on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Vice President Proloy Pal seeking his help in Nandigram. The 2 minutes 41 seconds phone conversation is now out in the open on social media where one can hear how desperate Didi is.

Mamata Banerjee made the call after she was informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will do a roadshow for Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram on March 30.

West Bengal will have 8 phases of polling due to security concerns.

For Mamata Banerjee, this is a ‘do or die’ election as her political fate lies in balance. To further compound the problem, she is also a candidate from Nandigram fighting against her own former minister in her government, who has now joined the BJP.

In the alleged phone call, Banerjee is heard pleading with Pal to help her in the Nandigram seat. During the conversation, Pal reminds Mamata of all the insults he had to face and talked about the culture of violence at the party.
