Actor Trisha Krishnan faces mounting questions over the alleged use of police convoy and official security during multiple appearances with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in May 2026, triggering a wider debate on the use of public resources for a leader’s personal circle.
Oath Ceremony: Convoy Allegations Before And After Event
On 10 May 2026, Vijay took oath as Chief Minister at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in a high‑profile ceremony attended by political leaders and film stars. Trisha Krishnan arrived at the venue with her mother and quickly became the focus of public attention inside the stadium.
The controversy, however, was outside the dais. While the convoy is sanctioned for the Chief Minister’s security, social‑media clips showed Trisha’s vehicle apparently moving as part of, or shielded by, that same police convoy, raising the charge that state security infrastructure was extended to a private actor due to her proximity to the CM.

This video clearly shows that police accompanied her to her residence.
Condolence Visit To Ajith’s Home: Security By Association
Barely weeks later, on 30–31 May 2026, Vijay and Trisha were again seen together, this time at a sombre occasion. Following the death of actor Ajith Kumar’s mother, Mohini Mani, the Chief Minister visited Ajith’s ECR residence in Chennai to offer condolences.
Reports and videos show Vijay arriving at Ajith’s house amid tight security, with official protection as CM, and embracing Ajith at the gate before going inside. Trisha accompanying the CM for the condolence visit, entering the residence in a black salwar suit and paying respects to Ajith’s family.
It appears from this video that Trisha arrived in CM Vijay’s vehicle.
Who is she, and in what official capacity is she using a government convoy?

It is argued that every time Vijay travels with a full security detail, those moving alongside him, including Trisha, automatically enjoy the cover of CM‑level security and escorted movement, effectively extending public security resources to his alleged partner.
The issue is not whether Trisha attended events with Chief Minister Vijay, but whether a private citizen with no elected office, government position or official role was allowed to use security and convoy facilities funded by taxpayers. If the allegations are true, under what authority were such privileges extended, and who approved them?
Public security resources exist to protect constitutional functionaries and individuals facing assessed threats, not members of a leader’s personal circle. If Trisha was merely moving within the Chief Minister’s security bubble, the government can clarify that. But if state security infrastructure was specifically used for her benefit, the public has every right to ask in what official capacity she was entitled to taxpayer-funded convoy protection.
