Goons attack bus driver attacked in Madurai for not giving way to a car, chop off hand

Yesterday, a Madurai-Tirupur bus that was on its way from Aarapaalayam to Kalavasal was blocked by a bunch of goons and was attacked for not giving way.

At that point, the bus driver who could not give way to the Innova car behind him because of the traffic on the road  was attacked and his hand chopped off.

In the video that has gone viral, a person from the Innova car can be seen stepping out of the car and moving towards the bus and attacking the man behind the wheel.

It was reported that the Innova driver had broken the bus window on the driver’s side and had spoken profanely to the bus driver. He then threw stones at the driver and had also attacked him vehemently with a metal rod. The bus driver Madhukrishnan was extremely bruised because of this and his hands were bleeding.

This incident instigated fear in the passengers of the bus. On learning about the attack, government bus drivers and operators rushed to the spot and tried to round up the occupants of the Innova car. But the driver of the car left the place swiftly. Subsequently, bus drivers protested against the attack.

On learning about the incident, SS Colony Police Officers rushed to the place of the incident, filed a complaint and had started finding the attackers. Through the CCTV footage of the area, they found the number plate of the Innova car and have identified the attacker, a man named Suresh and have arrested him.

The footage of the car driver attacking the bus driver has gone viral on social media. Tamil Nadu opposition leader and ex-Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami shared the video on his twitter with caption that reported the incident. He ended the tweet by saying, ” This incident shows that law and order has been completely disrupted in Tamil Nadu. What is the response of the Chief Minister in charge of the Police Department?” Check out the tweet here:
