Police have arrested the son of a DMK office bearer who was hoarding and selling illicit liquor in Arani, Thiruvannamalai district.
Ramu is the son of Vasantha, a former DMK councilor from Kalathumedu Street. The district police received a tip off that Ramu was hoarding and selling illicit liquor near the lake area.
Police rushed to the spot and seized around 110 liters of illicit liquor stored in 20-liter cans. The then arrested Ramu and filed a case for hoarding illicit liquor. Police are now investigating the case.
