“I Don’t Even Consider Durai Vaiko As A Politician”, Says MDMK Presidium Chairman S Duraisamy

MDMK presidium chairman S Duraisamy has raised a banner of revolt against Vaiko by asking the party to merge the party with the DMK, as the popularity of the MDMK has suffered due to the DMK stifling the former’s growth and overshadowing it.

In an interview to the Vikatan magazine, MDMK presidium chairman S Duraisamy when asked about the allegations made on him by Durai Vaiko that he tried to seize the buildings of MDMK in the 2021 elections, he said, ‘I grew up in Anna’s politics. I don’t need to answer all the complaints of Durai Vaiko who came into politics the other day. I don’t consider him a politician.”

When asked about the reason for his sudden voice to merge the MDMK with the DMK, he quoted Vaiko who in 1993 said,”I have been thrown out of the party because I would obstruct the Crown Prince”, and added that the vintage Vaiko is no more today.

He also accused Vaiko of promoting his son without worrying about the people who have lost everything by trusting him.

“There are many who trusted him and went behind him but have lost all their belongings today. But he doesn’t care about that and is working full-time in projecting his son.”, he said.

”After 2011, the enrollment of members in support of the party happened in March 2022, and Vaiko is claiming that nearly 1,284 people attended the meeting. To prove his claims Vaiko should release the list of MDMK party members along with their Aadhar Numbers for Verification” said MDMK presidium Chairman S. Duraisamy.

The Kerala Story: Here’s The Evidence Showing The Brutal Reality Of Love Jihad

‘The Kerala Story’ film has found itself at the centre of a controversy ever since the release of its teaser. The story depicts the hardship of thousands of Indian girls, primarily from Kerala, who have been converted and transported to Islamic State regimes in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

The ruling Communists of Kerala and the woke ‘Liberal-Left’ intelligentsia in the state and the country were quick to jump in to criticise the movie and portray the story as another propaganda attempt by the RSS and BJP.

Apart from that Muslim League (IUML) has declared a reward of ₹1 crore if anyone can prove Love Jihad in Kerala.

If a movie’s trailer can invoke such reactionary elements in the society, then the subject must be debated instead of cancelling it. The ferocity with which CPIM, IUML and Congress have attacked the movie and their eagerness to not to debate on the subject is questionable and arouse suspicion. Even though the trailer has stoked critical nerves of Jihadi forces, it has brought the issue of Love Jihad to the public fore like never before and it gives us an opportunity to examine the brutal reality behind the Love Jihad waged by Islamic terrorists on non-Muslims.

The whole notion of political jihad that is waged by Islamic terrorists revolves solely around the notion of unleashing destruction to people belonging to other religions. The methods which are employed for this purpose varies from may be, exploding a bomb to cooking up a relationship. The Jihad waged on Hindus in India takes different overtures and sometimes it presents itself in the form of Love Jihad. Innocent Hindu girls are lured in to the ploy of love concocted by Jihadi forces and when these girls are cornered without help, they are made to convert to Islam in the name of love.

People Who Have Spoken About The Menace

A wise man once said to ‘call a spade a spade’ but if one applies logic and does that they are cancelled and classified as right-wing reactionary forces. In the Islamic belts of Kerala and Karnataka, Love Jihad is a rampant phenomenon which has created friction between Hindus and Muslims. The Hindu reaction to the issue of Love Jihad shall be seen only as a reaction to the act of Jihadi forces and interestingly this reaction is not confined to Hindus alone. The Christians in Kerala are also on their nerves due to this issue.

For example, the Syro Malabar Church Pala diocese bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangatt had recently stated that Catholic girls in Kerala are now becoming the victims of ‘narcotics jihad’ and ‘love jihad.’ So, if concerns about a similar subject by all communities except the Muslims themselves, then there is some truth behind this subject which needs to be unearthed.

Pala diocese bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangatt stated at that time that, “Wherever arms cannot be used, narcotics are being used and Catholic girls become the victims. And to help this there is a group in Kerala which is functioning. To understand this, one needs to just analyse, how come ladies from other religions reached the IS camps.”.

This issue of love jihad is apolitical in its consequences in the society. Back in 2018 the parents of ‘love jihad’ victims of Kerala had floated a collective to bring back their daughters and somehow influence the government to take action against the culprits.

Speaking at a press conference on the issue, Ashokan KM, the father of Hadiya (born Akhila) and Bindu K, the mother of ‘Nimisha’ (who allegedly joined ISIS), stated that the children of 30 families were ‘love jihad’ victims. “It is sad that government and police are adopting an attitude that is favouring the terrorists in such cases. This forced us to form this collective,” Ashokan said.

He further stated that “Many girls have committed suicide whereas some of them were killed or subjected to sexual abuse. Nobody knows where they are now. NIA and police investigated cases and revealed names of many individuals and organizations who are the real culprits and accomplices. Still, police and government have failed to act,”.

A petition filed by Nimisha’s parents before the apex court states that their daughter was lured into a relationship, abused, impregnated, forced to abort, converted to Islam, and finally abandoned by one Sajjad Rehman, while she was studying in college. Later, she was forced into marriage by one Isa (Baxen), who had converted to Islam from Christianity. Now, she is believed to be in one of the provinces under control of ISIS in Afghanistan. The sad part of the above-mentioned story is that it is not a standalone incident but only one among many incidents across India. The testimonies of the victims and the ordeals of parents are nerve chilling and it makes us even question the government machinery which act as an accomplice in this issue.

In another instance, prominent Christian politician from Kerala P C George had stated that ‘love jihad’ exists and said that around 47 girls in his former constituency have fallen victims to this phenomenon. George said that among the victims, 12 are Hindus and 35 are Christians. He also said that he is not going ahead with any complaints or approaching the court as the families of most of these girls are on the verge of committing suicide. He also said that he is convinced that love jihad exists. Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had also spoke about the issue of conversions. But mostly concerns of these politicians and leaders belonging to non-Muslim communities had fallen in to the deaf ears of proponents of ‘appeasement politics.’

Love Jihad Instances

There is plethora of instances which narrates the plight of the girls who fell victim to love jihad and those stories also narrates the evil nature of vulture eyed Islamic jihadis circling to entrap these women.

In Uttar Pradesh, at one such instance, six people were arrested for entrapping Hindu women. In this case Arbaaz, the hookah bar owner, used to allow only Muslim boys & minor Hindu girls to visit the bar, then intoxicate Hindu girls & have sex with them.

In Madhya Pradesh a video went viral with claim “Wajid Ali along with family members was beaten due to Muslim identity”. But the truth is: Wajid Ali had taken away a Hindu girl from his own village.

Not so long ago in the mega city of Mumbai, a man belonging to the Muslim community killed his wife, who is from the Hindu community for allegedly refusing to wear a burqa and following Islamic tradition.

College going girls belonging to other religions are targeted by Islamic forces for propagation of their religion. From Kerala itself the police recently had registered a case of abetment of suicide against Altaf, a classmate and a Malayali, in the incident of 22-year-old Bhuvana Babu’s death by hanging at her residence in Thrissur Ilanthuruth Karyattukara Kuttikattuparam

Mostly the victims are not famous personalities but famous personalities are not immune from this phenomenon. For example, television actress Dhivya, known for her role in Tamil serial “Sevvanthi,” accused actor Nainar Mohamed, alias Arnav, of deceiving her and forcing her into Islam under the guise of marriage.

The story of the victims is never ending but there is one story which reveals us the whole pattern behind the love jihad operation, that is the story of Hadiya. The story is actually about an atheist ex-serviceman K.M. Ashokan, his wife Ponnamma and his only daughter Akhila. She lived with her parents and studied at local schools until 12th standard, which she passed in her second attempt.

After 12th her parents enrolled her in Sivaraj Homeopathic Medical College at Salem, Tamil Nadu for graduation in 2010. Akhila was a simple girl, like her parents she was also atheist and did not like religion as well as politics. At college she met to two Muslim girls Faseena and Jaseela and all 3 became good friends. In 2012 Akhila came to home on summer vacation and she kept fast in Ramzan. She told her parents that she was doing this for her friends. On Eid her friends called at their home. She went to Malappuram to celebrate Eid with Faseena and Jaseela where she met their father Aboo Backer. After Eid all three went back to her college at Salem for studies.

On November 2015, Akhila got to know her grandmother had died. She went to home but she refused to join the funeral rituals. Her parents thought due to study pressure and immaturity that she is acting in a different manner but the truth was much more sinister.

On 1 January 2016, Akhil asked to her father “Papa Islam is a beautiful religion, Can I convert to Islam?” Her father was shocked. He scolded her. She said she is going back to my college at Salem but she lied to her parents and did not go to Salem. She went to Malappuram. She met her friend’s father Aboo Backer.

Akhila’s father got to know that she didnt reach to Salem. He enquired n found out that she is at Mallpuram with Aboo Backer. He filed FIR against Aboo Backer and police arrested him and presented him in the court. Akhila was produced and what she said there created sensation. Akhila said that she is no more Akhila, she has converted to Islam and her new name is Hadhiya. She said she didnt want to live with her parents and wanted to live with her new gradian Zainaba.

When she met to Aboo Backer she said she wanted to learn more about Islam. He asked her to join a Islamic institute. She went to Kozhikode and joined an institute ‘Sathya Sarani’ where she met Zainaba, PFI’s women wing president. Zainaba was teaching Hadiya Islam. In August 2016, fresh petition was filed by Hadiya’s father in court to get back her daughter but Hadiya said again she wanted to stay with Zainaba and did not want to go to her parents. Court allowed her decision. And in December 2016 during court proceedings, she came with a man and told court that she is now married to that man. That man was Shefin Jahan. The circle of love-indoctrination-jihad was now complete. Shefin was an active member of SDPI. Hadhiya told in court that she met to Shefin on a matrimony site and married him with her wish. Her father said that she was influenced by Zainaba and she is the real mastermind and this is the case of love jihad.

In May 2017 Kerala High court accepted that it is a case of love jihad and cancelled the marriage. Court said, “A girl aged 24 is weak and vulnerable, capable of being exploited in many ways.” It sent Hadiya back to her parents and puts her under police surveillance. It became the first legally convicted case of love jihad in India. It created sensation in leftist Islamist ecosystem. They challenged it in Supreme Court. Kapil Sibal fought case from Hadiya side. Case was very intriguing, how an atheist girl all of a sudden became an entirely differdnt in few years! Even though the liberal machinery of Supreme Court stepped in for Hadiya, the case clearly revealed the length and breadth in which Islamic forces go to wage their jihad.

Islamist’s Own Country

Kerala is a state which is cursed by radical Islamic tendencies and it is turning in to Islamist’s own country. The politics and approach of minority appeasement adopted by the ruling CPI(M) has also aggravated the situation. The politics of appeasement adopted by CPI(M) can be traced back in time when the current CM was in power previously.

Back in 2018, when news came that Kerala had asked for a ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI), Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and then Director General of Police Loknath Behera were quick to deny the report.

“It is not the Kerala government’s policy to ban any communal or terrorist outfit. If any outfit that creates riots in India and divides society on communal lines needs to be banned, then it should be the RSS first. Such organisations cannot be countered with a ban and this has been proved by our experience in the past.”, he said.

The CM’s statement did not come as a surprise for political critics in the state, since the CPI(M)’s lenient attitude towards the PFI and its political outfit, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has been an open secret.

CPI(M) has even been accused of closing its eyes or even quietly supporting the radical activities of the PFI and its allied outfits for many years. The CPI(M) lacks a credible ground base support from Islamic parties in Kerala and does not have allies to march into a substantial Islamic voter base in Kerala.

Veteran journalist, political critic, and social activist BRP Bhaskar says, “There has always been an electoral angle to the CPI (M)’s approach to various parties, especially parties with a communal orientation. So far as the Muslim and Christian communities are concerned, the CPI (M) has been particularly eager to attract the parties with a mass support.”

He further pointed out, “This is because the representation of minorities in the party’s membership is comparatively low. Kerala has 54% Hindu population and the non-Hindus in the CPI (M) membership constitute only 8%. This shows that they have not been able, over the years, to attract the minority communities to the extent they would like and to make up for the shortfall, they are looking for other parties, Muslim parties.”

It was speculated then that, the reason for the CPI(M) supporting PFI was the weakening of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), another Muslim political outfit, after its head Abdul Nasser Madani’s arrest in connection with the Bengaluru serial blasts case. “The only other Muslim political outfit was the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), which has aligned with the CPI (M)’s opponent Congress. By siding with PFI, the CPI (M) clearly eyed the votes of the community people who back PFI,” he added.

According to Bhaskar, the CPI (M) tried wooing IUML earlier but failed to offer the party a Cabinet post and bring it into the mainstream.

Kerala is on a brink due to these radical forces. Plenty of Kerala men and women are said to have joined the ISKP (Islamic State of Khorasan Province) in recent years. The United Nations warned in its 2020 terrorism report that there are a substantial number of ISIS terrorists in the Indian state of Kerala and Karnataka.

The report says that the ISIL Indian affiliate (Hind Wilayah), which was announced on May 10, 2019, has between 180 and 200 members with significant numbers of ISIL operatives in Kerala and Karnataka states

The threat of radicalism and terrorism are few among major challenges faced by the world today and it poses substantial risk to stability and harmony of our society. Terrorism certainly poses major challenges in our society too whether it is in the form of violence or love. Former PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee once stated that, ‘Terrorism has become a festering wound. It is an enemy of humanity.’

It is high time the Kerala government start taking the issue seriously without being swayed by vote bank or appeasement and start taking stern actions against fringe elements on ground for the sake of India’s national security.

Family Of TN Man Who Died In RaGa’s BJ Yatra Allegedly Made To Run Pillar-To-Post To Get Solatium, TNCC Denies

Congress workers and family of Yathirai Ganesan, who died during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra are reportedly upset that the party leadership is making them run pillar to post to get the compensation amount announced by Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Leader KS Alagiri.

Ganesan hails from Keezavasal Bhumal Ravuththan Koil Street in Thanjavur. He has been involved in the Congress Party since his childhood and has held various positions in the Congress Party for about thirty years. He is known as ‘Yathirai Ganesan’ as he has participated in various walks organized by the party.

Ganesan, who took part in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, died in an accident near Nagpur, Maharashtra, on 11 November 2022. Following this, national and state leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, offered their condolences to Ganesan. In addition, the Maharashtra Congress Committee and the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee both announced that they would provide ₹5 lakh in relief. However, no relief has been provided to Ganesan’s family thus far, and there has been a complaint that his family is constantly being harassed to get the amount.

“My brother is a devoted supporter of the Congress. At the age of 59, he took part in Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra. When he died after being hit by a truck, the party announced a compensation of ₹10 lakh. However, his family is yet to receive a single rupee. To make matters worse, the party provided no assistance in obtaining the death certificate. When his body was received from the Nagpur Hospital mortuary, they gave us a certificate in Hindi. We have no idea what that is for. We presented that certificate to the Tamil Nadu government offices here, but they refused to accept it as it was not a death certificate.”, Ganesan’s brother Srinivasan was quoted saying in a report by Junior Vikatan

He added, “We complained about it to Thanjavur Congress District President Rajendran. He did, however, direct us to meet with the president of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, KS Alagiri. We met him a few weeks ago. After hearing us, KS Alagiri asked us to meet with the Thanjavur district president again. When we told this to the Thanjavur district president, he asked us to complain to Karur MP Jothimani. When we contacted Jothimani MP’s assistant Loganathan through WhatsApp, he asked us to be patient and said he would notify MP Jothimani about the situation. But we never heard from them again.”

Thanjavur Congress Committee workers were quoted saying that KS Alagiri has ‘mentally retired’ from politics before the party formally sidelines. They accused Alagiri of being unconcerned about the welfare of the party or its volunteers. and that he is unconcerned

“That is why he ignores Yathirai Ganesan’s family. If they don’t get justice soon, we will go on a walk to condemn KS Azhagiri.”, they told.

Junior Vikatan quoted Thanjavur Congress District President Rajendran as saying, “We have taken the necessary steps to provide financial assistance to Yatrai Ganesan’s family. Due to the Karnataka elections, many party leaders are involved in election work there. I instructed them to take a lawyer with them when they reveived the body from Nagpur. I am an ordinary person. I can’t fix everything on my own.”

He further added, “The Tamil Nadu Congress Committee has decided to give the money. However, it didn’t happen due to a wedding in President KS Alagiri’s family. That is why there has been a minor hiccup. The Maharashtra Congress has not stated that it will provide relief. Only a party executive in that state said that it would give relief. I am following it continuously. I will receive it soon.”

However, a tweet from the official handle of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee shows that Thanjavur district president Rajendran had erred and that the Maharashtra Congress promised ₹5 lakhs. The tweet reads, “₹5 lakhs will be given on behalf of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee and another ₹5 lakhs will be given on behalf of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Mr. Ashok Chavan.”

Tamil Nadu BJP state secretary SG Suryah came down heavily on Congress saying that the grand old party is looting its own solatium. SG Suryah said in his Twitter handle that the family of Yathirai Ganesan who passed away in an accident while participating in Rahul Gandhi’s ‘flop’ Bharat Jodo Yatra, was made to run from pillar to post to get that solatium.

“But now his family is made to run from pillar to post to get that solatium. What a shame this Grand Old Party is looting its own solatium,” SG Suryah said.

Following the backlash, an alleged press release of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee was shared by the party’s state Genneral Secretary in which it was stated that a compensation of ₹5 lakhs was given to Yathirai Ganesan’s brother Srinivasan and sister TR Ramani on April 21st.

However, this press release was not found on TNCC’s official social media handle until the time of publishing this article.

Responding to Lakshmi Ramachandran, SG Suryah questioned whether the remaining promised amount was looted and shared amongst the party’s office bearers.

Dhrupad Maestro Ustad Dagar Accuses AR Rahman Of Plagiarising PS-2 Song ‘Veera Raja Veera’

ar rahman veera raja veera ponniyin selvan 2 delhi high court

Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, a Dhrupad maestro, alleged that music composer and singer AR Rahman plagiarised a song from his family’s composition to compose ‘Veera Raja Veera’ song for his latest film Ponniyin Selvan – 2.

He claimed that the melody used by AR Rahman in the Veera song is very similar to traditional Dhrupad composition by his father and uncle but not copyrighted. Dagar said, “He took the entire composition, and used it as he pleased. Just used it (pura composition hi le liya? Kisi bhi tarah istemaal, bas istemaal)”.

According to his students, an email was sent, and many days later, the Ustad and the Oscar-winning composer finally spoke over the phone for about 30 seconds after allegedly making Dagar wait for three minutes. They added that nothing came of the meeting between AR Rahman and Dagar.

They also stated that the lawyers from Mani Ratnam’s company Madras Talkies, which produced PS 1 and PS 2, have rejected the claim that ‘Veera Raja Veera’ is a copy of ‘Shiva Stuti’ and was composed by Narayana Panditacharyain in the 13th century. The notice also stated that Shiva Stuti has been performed several times and that the letter by Dagar is only a “fishing expedition for monetary gain and publicity”.

According to the Dagar’s student, the song was not originally credited to the Dagarvani tradition and was added to the description about 10 days later. They also stated that the song was incorrectly credited as ‘Dargavani’ in the video, despite the fact that there is no such tradition by that name.

In the above screenshot of the song, it can be seen that the Dagar family’s tradition Dagarvani has been misspelt as Dargavani.

Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar claimed that his father Ustad Faiyazuddin Dagar and uncle Ustad Zahiruddin Dagar, popularly known as the Junior Dagar Brothers, had composed the song on the raga Adana, which later came to be called ‘Shiva Stuti’.

The Dagar gharana, which spans 20 generations, is the most prominent Dhrupad family in Hindustani classical music. Its origins can be traced back to the 15th century.

Shivam Bhardwaj, a disciple of Dagar who has been credited in the supporting vocals category of the Ponniyin Selvan song, had reportedly informed AR Rahman’s team about the conversations that were happening before Dagar’s side sent an email informing about the plagiarism.

According to Arman Ali Dehlvi, another disciple of Dagar who has been credited in the Hindi version the Veera Raja Veera song, he recommended ‘Raag Adana’ and sang the composition in a Tarana form when Rahman asked for suggestions for a war like song, which apparently he liked.

He said that Rahman “immediately agreed” to acknowledge the Dagarvani tradition of Dhrupad but as evident, he didn’t do it appropriately.

Another disciple of Dagar, Anand was quoted saying that while Rahman’s song clocks millions of views and rupees, the original composition has been reduced to a footnote.

“Rahman excels in using ragas innovatively. So this brazen effort to copy-paste an entire bandish and pass it off as his doing is shocking. He’s just an arranger in this case.”, he was quoted saying.

Wasifuddin Dagar thought about making a video about the similarities between the two songs and posting it on Facebook at first but his family cautioned him to stay out of trouble saying cinema people are very powerful. He will be up against heavyweights in the South Indian film industry if he does that.

Listen to the original song here.

Karnataka: Congress Promises ₹9000 Cr For Mekedatu Project; DMK & TN Cong Look The Other Way

The Congress party’s actions and conflicting stances on the Mekedatu Dam project and DMK’s Stoic silence reveal their hypocrisy.

The Cauvery river water dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, which has been ongoing for decades, came to an end after the Modi government formed the Cauvery Water Management Authority.

But the proposed construction of the Mekedatu Dam has reignited the dispute over the river as the dam is expected to cause a significant impact on the farmers in the Tamil Nadu delta region and its surroundings.

The Congress party, which joined forces with the DMK in Tamil Nadu, has shown its true colors by taking different stances on the Cauvery River dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

In August 2021, the Tamil Nadu BJP chief K. Annamalai staged a one-day hunger strike in protest against the decision of the Karnataka government and other parties in the state to construct the dam. However, DMK MP Dhayanidhi Maran criticized the protest and urged the Tamil Nadu BJP President to convey his message to the Karnataka government instead of causing unrest. In response, Tamil BJP chief Annamalai demanded that Maran send his private jet to transport Tamil Nadu farmers to demand the Karnataka Chief Minister to change his decision.

On 21st March 2022, the Tamil Nadu government tabled a resolution against the proposed project, which was supported by all political parties, including the BJP and Congress. However, before this, the Karnataka Congress had organized a rally in support of the project.

After the Karnataka Congress rally, the Tamil Nadu Congress staged a protest against the project, exposing their double standards on the matter. The Karnataka Congress Working Chief also expressed his displeasure at the Karnataka BJP government for filing an FIR against them for the rally.

As the dates for the Karnataka polls approach on 2 May 2023, the Karnataka Congress released its manifesto promising ₹9,000 crore to implement the Mekedatu Dam project, despite knowing that it would cause tensions with Tamil Nadu. However, the Tamil Nadu Congress maintains pin drop silence on the Karnataka Congress’ manifesto supporting the project.

The DMK, which is part of the Congress alliance in Tamil Nadu, also remains silent on the matter, raising questions about their stance on the issue. Is the DMK indirectly supporting the Congress’s promise by campaigning for them with the manifesto in their hands? Are they putting the alliance first and the state’s needs last? The DMK’s silence on this matter may imply that they are putting the alliance first and the state’s needs last.

Every Scene Is Based On The Testimonies Of Victims, Says Producer Of The Kerala Story

As The Kerala Story, a movie based on the indoctrination of girls by ISIS terrorists, is scheduled to release on 5 May 2023, the cast and crew of The Kerala story revealed in their recent interview to The New Indian, that the scenes in the movie are based on the testimonies given by the victims.

The director of the movie Sudipto Sen revealed that this movie was based on the 2017 Hadiya Case.

Hadiya was a homeopathic medical student from Vaikom, Kerala who was reported missing by her father Asokan K.M, in early 2016. She appaarently abandoned her home since her father forbade her from professing Islam. She left her home wearing hijab and stayed at ith A.S. Zainaba, president of now-banned terror outfit Popular Front of India (PFI)’s women’s wing. She later converted to Islam and married a Muslim man named Shafin Jahan, an active member of the PFI-affiliated Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). While her family holds that she was brainwashed at Satya Sarani (an Islamic conversion centre in Malappuram), forcefully converted and married, Hadiya maintains that she married of her own volition. The marriage which was first annulled by the Kerala High Court was held valid by the Supreme Court based on Jehan’s appeal.

”After research, I realised that it is the sinister plan of ISIS and Al-Qaeda to traffic the girls from Kerala who are vulnerable. In Kerala, the Muslim population is very high, and Christians and Hindus are very few. This triggered Islamic extremists to target Kerala girls. That became The Kerala Story.” said Director Sudipto Sen in an interview to The New Indian.

While speaking about the film, the producer Vipul Shah said that this human tragedy should be told and that the purpose of the movie would be fulfilled if it saves a few girls from falling into the trap.

”When I met girls who were victims but got lucky and came back home, I was in tears listening to their stories. I know when the film releases, I will be told it’s a propaganda film, we are stooges of A, B, C, D, you took money from XYZ to malign a certain religion and community, but the truth is uncomfortable. This truth is going to shake certain institutions.” said Producer about meeting the victims of ISIS.

Vipul Shah also stated that they thought no one would come and act in this film because of the threat that come with it.

The main lead actress of the movie, Adah Sharma said she felt like a lawyer for these girls. ”I am the one who gets to speak for these girls. I am the medium through which this story can be told.” she said.

While addressing the controversy about 32,000 girls, he clarified that ”If you are making a film like this and your facts are not correct, then you will get discredited. The film will be discredited. Because of all of our mistakes, the girls who are suffering will suffer more injustice.”

“There was a reference to the number of women who have been trafficked from Kerala to the Middle East to become suicide bombers – 32,000. This number was doubted when the teaser was released. We have a lot of evidence, but we decided to file an RTI. We got an address to a website that unfortunately doesn’t exist. Everybody can interpret it in their own way.”, he said.

”We went to 14 districts in Kerala and went to the police headquarters to ask for the number of girls missing in the last 10 years, the number of girls rescued, and the number of girls registered. We were told DGP Kerala would get back to us in 15 days. It’s been 4 months since there has been no response.” said director Sudipto Sen.

‘Mathew Garments’ And ‘Mother Teresa’ Image Printed On Vibuthi Packets Of Annamalaiyar Temple Stirs Row In Tiruvannamalai

The incident in which Mother Teresa’s image was printed on packets to distribute sacred ash from the world-famous Tiruvannamalaiyar temple has caused quite a stir among devotees.

Every day, thousands of devotees flock to Tiruvannamalai’s famous Annamalaiyar temple. Given that the week was jam-packed with holidays, devotees from all over the state turned to the temple for darshan.

Mathew Garments, a well-known clothing manufacturing company, donated ‘Vibuthi’ (sacred ash) packets to the temple.

However, the packets were printed with an image of Mother Teresa on one side and Mathew Garments on the other, which sparked an outrage. According to reports, the donations were made directly to the temple Archakas without the knowledge of temple management.

After learning of the incident, Hindu Munnani leaders arrived at the Tiruvannamalai temple in large numbers and demanded that the temple’s Joint Commissioner Kumaresan take strict action against those responsible.

Claiming that it was a conversion attempt, Hindu Munnani staged a protest in front of the temple, demanding appropriate and immediate action.

Kumaresan, the temple’s Joint Commissioner (JC), who investigated the matter, has now ordered the suspension of two priests, Somanatha and Muthukumaraswamy, for six months. He also stated that during the suspension period, neither Archakas are permitted to enter the temple or perform any poojas or rituals to the deity.

In a statement released on May 2nd, JC Kumaresan said, “On May 1st, two Archakas in the Arulmigu Arunachaleshwarar temple in Tiruvannamalai, Somanatha Gurukkal and Muthukumaraswamy Gurukkal, have brought disrepute to the temple administration by distributing the controversial Vibhuti Kunguma prasada cover without any order from the court or higher officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department. Disciplinary action has been taken against two Archakas, who have been suspended from work for six months and are not permitted to perform any pujas.”

YSRCP Abusing Superstar Rajinikanth For Praising CBN Shows Jagan Is Jittered

Tamil Nadu’s pride “Thalaivar” Rajinikanth, an Indian superstar who has fans traversing boundaries has often alluded to admiration, respect and reverence for the late Telugu superstar and multi talented man of many achievements, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (popularly NTR).

NTR Sr. (not to be confused with NTR Jr, his grandson and current Telugu actor) was a larger-than-life figure for the general public in the united Andhra Pradesh state as well as the people that interacted with him within the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi film Industries and from political parties through out India. He was a successful, prolific actor, director, politician and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, who set new records in Tollywood and in the world of Indian politics.

In the realm of Indian cinema, he is still remembered and revered for the sheer number of films based on the Hindu epics and ancient texts which were hugely popular in the Telugu states. The Hindi film and television industry borrowed plenty of ideas from NTR’s extensively researched, well executed, elaborately made movies based on characters and stories from the various Hindu texts. He starred in over three hundred films, received three National Film Awards and a Padmashree award.

In the shady, unpredictable world of Indian politics, he openly challenged a stalwart like Indira Gandhi, built a brand new political party from scratch within a few weeks and single handedly defeated Indira’s Congress party in the united A.P within a year of the new party’s creation. Such an accomplishment was unheard of, in modern Indian political history. The Congress party’s defeat was so massive and thorough that it caused Indira Gandhi and her party, major embarrassment at both the state and national level. NTR’s formation of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its dramatic, historic win at the party’s very first state elections, causing a crushing, humiliating defeat to the Congress party is legendary and is a
note-worthy chapter written into Indian text books for Political Science students.

As a human being from a humble background, he stole people’s hearts with his determination and grit, his hard work, his honest dealings, his equal treatment of all people involved, his genuine concern for the struggles of the common man and his reputation as a man who kept his word, a man that unfailingly helped people under all circumstances.

It is out of respect for the memory of the much admired N T Rama Rao that the Tamil superstar, a favorite with the Telugu audiences too, agreed to attend a ceremony to mark NTR’s birth centenary celebrations in Vijayawada.

One of NTR’s son-in-laws, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and current TDP leader, N Chandrababu Naidu had invited Rajnikant to grace the occasion of NTR’s birth centenary celebrations.

The event to mark and celebrate NTR’s achievements took place on April 28 2023 at Vijayawada’s Poranki locality. It was a star studded event with hordes of common people and celebrities from various fields coming together to honour a modern-day legend of the Telugu states. Apart from the impressive guest list and thousands of people thronging the event, there was added excitement around the announcement of the Central Mint of India’s decision to unveil a special coin with the Sr NTR imprinted on it, marking the centenary celebrations of the iconic actor – a significant gesture by the Government of India, honoring and showcasing the people’s immense love and respect for NTR.

By all accounts, Rajnikant’s interactions and conversations with members of the NTR family and on the public dias, steered clear of controversial comments of any type. As is natural for all dignitaries that accept an invitation to participate/ speak at a commemorative event, Rajnikant talked of the admirable qualities of NTR that both common people, leaders and actors like himself, admired and respected. He spoke from the heart and sounded sincere when he talked of NTR’s traits, strengths, beliefs, his values and principles that made him a great man, endearing him to millions of fans and admirers. Rajnikant stayed away from any controversial remarks and certainly did not get into aspects of NTR’s entry and success in the field of politics.

He remarked on the foresight and vision of the TDP leader, Chandrababu Naidu in terms of his previously envisioned and successfully implemented plans for the growth and development of Hyderabad city and his futuristic vision for the current bifurcated/ residual state of Andhra Pradesh. While he spoke about Naidu’s well known, praise-worthy efforts in inviting major IT, technical and financial companies to Hyderabad city in the 1990s which turned it into a competitive metropolitan destination for business and employment he stayed away from commenting on other political parties, leaders or the incumbent YSRCP party.

The YSRCP and its leaders, already steeped in a bad reputation for unnecessary interference and inappropriate remarks on everything that happens in A.P including religious and non-political events, over stepped their boundaries yet again. Among the unnecessary and disrespectful comments were those made by Telugu-Tamil actor, YSCRP MLA and State Tourism Minister R.K Roja, who took objection to Rajnikant’s positive comments for TDP leader, Chandrababu Naidu. She indicated sarcastically that Rajnikant was an actor who was not well versed with the politics of A.P and Telangana. She also tried denying Chandrababu Naidu’s widely acknowledged role in the economic development of Hyderabad city when it was the capital of the larger, united Andhra Pradesh.

Another YSR Congress Party MLA, Kodali Venkateshwar Rao (a.k.a Kodali Nani) remarked that Rajnikant may be a hero in Tamil Nadu but he is a “zero” in A.P especially after his positive comments for Naidu. Kodali Nani, known for his acerbic, objectionable, often vulgar comments on opposition leaders, also alluded to the age and health of Rajnikant when he mentioned that the actor shoots for three days but requires hospital care for six days. Another YSRCP leader and Water Resources Minister, Ambati Rambabu labelled Rajinikanth a “coward”, mentioning the actor’s intention to enter into Tamil Nadu politics but lacking the courage to implement his political plans.

Fans of Rajnikanth from both Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states are now demanding disciplinary action on YSRCP leaders from C M Jagan Reddy, for their unnecessary, rude remarks on Rajnikant especially when the much loved, veteran actor had carefully avoided any comments on the YSRCP or the current political climate in A.P. They are strongly questioning the YSRCP for its aggressive stand on Rajnikant’s personal views on former CM, Naidu and demanding to know if anybody in Andhra has the constitutionally guaranteed right to freely express their personal opinions on someone or something, without offending others. Many people questioned the law & order situation in the state and the dictatorial attitude of Jagan Reddy and his YSRCP leaders.

With Naidu trying to extend a fig leaf to the BJP to join the NDA, Rajinikant’s comments will make Jagan Reddy sweat in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections.

YSRCP leaders abusing Rajinikant for appreciating Chandra Babu Naidu shows that Jagan Reddy is jittered.

Following Backlash, Amar Chitra Katha Issues Clarification On Its Post About Arundhati Roy

After receiving severe backlash for a Facebook post eulogising left-wing extremist writer Arundhati Roy, Amar Chitra Katha Studio was forced to clarify that it had no plans to create a book or collaborate in any way with Arundhati Roy.

Amar Chitra Katha (ACK), a revered comics publisher well-known for its religious and historical comics and graphic novels, published a Facebook post about the contentious ultra-left-wing propagandist Arundhati Roy on Thursday, April 27. The Amar Chitra Katha Studio wrote on Facebook about Roy’s life and work.

Amar Chitra Katha Studio’s Facebook post read, “Born in Shillong in 1961, Arundhati Roy is an architect, screenplay writer, and author. Her first novel, The God of Small Things, became a global phenomenon, winning the Booker Prize in 1997. Apart from her work in fiction, she has authored non-fictional books and essays, about various political and social causes. Her work in screenplay writing has also been appreciated, with her first screenplay winning the National Film Award.”

Also, they listed significant works by Arundhati Roy, including “The God of Small Things,” “The Algebra of Infinite Justice,” and “The Ministry of Utmost Happiness.”

It is important to note that Arundhati Roy is known for being a left-wing extremism and an Islamic terror apologist peddling anti-Hindu narratives. Her book, Walking with the Comrades, is an account of the face-off between Maoists and the Indian government. It deliberately supports the Maoists’ receiving weapons training.

In light of this, the Amar Chitra Katha Studio’s Facebook post received severe backlash for praising a left-wing extremist author and was widely shared on social media. As the Facebook post went viral, Amar Chitra Katha Studio was forced to issue a clarification on May 1st, in which it attempted to distance itself from the controversial writer Arundhati Roy.

The clarification read, “Over the last few months we have been showcasing famous artists, musicians, poets and writers (like Amrita Shergil, Anita Desai, Khushwant Singh, Satish Gujral etc.) from India in a series of social media posts. The post about writer Arundhati Roy was just one in this series about Indian writers.”

They went on to say, “We wish to clarify that we have never planned to create a book or collaborate with Arundhati Roy in any way, whatsoever. Furthermore, we do not endorse the political views of any of the people featured in our books, blogs or social media posts. Our mission has always been and will always be to provide Indian children with a route to their roots. We thank our readers for their support and urge them to check out our new titles at a bookstore or on the ACK Comics app.”

“Nothing Wrong In Missionaries Spreading Christianity”: DMK Govt Tells Supreme Court

The DMK-led Tamil Nadu government has filed an affidavit with the Supreme Court saying that there is nothing illegal in the acts of missionaries spreading Christianity as Article 25 guarantees every citizen to propagate his/her religion.

The affidavit was filed by the Tamil Nadu government in response to a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay.

The PIL sought to declare fraudulent conversion and conversion by intimidation, threat, deception and allurement (through gifts and monetary benefits), as violation of fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. It also called for directing the Centre and states to take stringent steps against fraudulent and forced religious conversion.

The DMK government in its reply said “The acts of missionaries spreading Christianity by itself cannot be seen as something against law. But if their act of spreading their religion is against public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of Part III of the Constitution, it has to be viewed seriously.”.

The DMK government also said that in Tamil Nadu, there have been no incidents of forced conversion in the past many years.

On the petitioner’s contention that means like “intimidation, threat, deceivingly luring through gifts and monetary benefits” were used for conversions, the DMK government said that those allegations are related to some incidents only in certain tribal areas in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and India’s Hindi belt and, it did not apply to Tamil Nadu.

It also said that anti-conversion laws are prone to misuse against minorities and that citizens should be allowed to freely choose their religion adding that it would not be appropriate if the government put spokes to their beliefs and privacy.

Upadhyay in his petition had also mentioned about the alleged forced conversion and the suicide case of the 17-yr-old Lavanya from Thanjavur which is currently under the purview of Central Bureau of Investigation.

Calling the plea by Upadhyay as “religiously motivated petition”, the DMK government while urging to dismiss the plea, said the petitioner has abused particular religions and has sought orders in tune with his policies.
