“One Who Understands Sutra Is Shudra, One Who Understands Brahman is Brahmin”: Filmmaker Pravin Gandhi Busts Leftist-Dravidianist Rhetoric On Caste, Slams Pa. Ranjith And Vetrimaaran

At the audio launch event of the upcoming film ‘Kuzhandhai C/O Goundampalayam’, directed by yesteryear actor Ranjith, film director Praveen Gandhi delivered a thought-provoking speech addressing the concept of caste.

In his speech, Praveen Gandhi said “I’ve always given statement against those directors who make caste films. Caste should say their caste Caste should never be spoken about. Nobody knows the caste of the person sitting here.”

Hitting out at Dravidianist directors like Pa. Ranjith and Vetrimaaran, Praveen Gandhi said “There’s a director called Pa. Ranjith and another called Vetrimaaran and there are a few more. Only after these directors grew, cinema started to wither. Who knows who is sitting beside me! All of us clap and whistle together in a cinema hall. One should never say caste in cinema.

He said that those who speak caste in movies should be boycotted socially. He also showered praises on actor Ranjith (the director of Kuzhandhai C/O Goundampalayam, not to be confused with Pa. Ranjith) for speaking against the ‘Happy Street’ events that happened in Coimbatore and other cities which was called out for showcasing cultural degeneracy.

Pointing out to a dialogue from the film which goes like – “Farmers don’t just plant seeds in land. They also do it in the womb“, Praveen Gandhi said that this dialogue didn’t come out of the blue for the director but just a reflection of how a large number of people have been indoctrinated and mislead by leaders belonging to the Dalit community for the mere sake of votes.

Praveen Gandhi then went on to emphasize the interconnectedness of humanity and questioned the historical emergence of the concept of Shudra. He remarked, “We are all interconnected… Who exactly is a Shudra? Do you know when the concept of Shudra emerged? We didn’t invent it… Hindus didn’t invent it… Those who invaded us in hordes – Islamic invaders and British colonizers. They introduced it. I

He continued, shedding light on the true essence of the Shudra, stating, “A Shudra is someone who understands the Sutra, who comprehends the essence of God.” Gandhi also touched upon the role of Brahmins, explaining, “A Brahmin is someone who understands Brahman… There’s no distinction. They used to tend to livestock. A Shudra is simply a farmer, nothing more. Who pushed them down? It was the invaders who came and oppressed them.

Praveen Gandhi’s bold statements didn’t go unnoticed. The Hindu Munnani, took to Twitter to commend the director. They tweeted, “Famous actor and director Ranjith directed the child. Speaking at the audio launch of the film ‘C/O Goundampalayam’, filmmaker Praveen Gandhi has publicly broken some facts. It is our custom that no one should see or listen to caste, and it was the Muslims and white Christians who invaded our country that created the caste distinction of Shudra.”

Praising Praveen Gandhi’s stance against caste divisions, the Hindu Munnani further stated, “In Tamil cinema, which talks about caste divisions and sows anti-Hindu thoughts, it is good for our society that directors like Praveen Gandhi have spoken like this. It was Muslims and Christians who created caste divisions among us. Hindu Munnani congratulates Praveen Gandhi.”

“Sanction To Prosecute For Recalling An Event, Plum Position For Drug Peddlers”: Annamalai Slam DMK Govt For Issuing Sanction To Prosecute Him For Remarks About Annadurai

The DMK government in Tamil Nadu has sought sanction to prosecute BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai for a speech he made recalling an incident involving DMK founder CN Annadurai and freedom fighter Muthuramalinga Thevar.

Speaking at a BJP meeting in September 2023, Annamalai had said that during a conference held in June 1956 at Madurai’s Meenakshi temple, a child sang a song from the Sangam era for Annadurai to which the DMK founder had apparently commended the child’s singing but added that if her talent had been showcased centuries ago, people might have attributed it to her consumption of holy milk from Goddess Umaiyaval.

Annadurai also expressed the view that it was a positive development that people no longer believed in such stories due to their common sense, as per the allegations made by the Tamil Nadu BJP chief.

According to Annamalai, Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar, a revered leader of the Thevar community and a freedom fighter, opposed Annadurai’s remarks. He said that Muthuramalinga spoke the following day, daring who would speak ill of Goddess Umaiyava in a temple where Sivapuranam was composed.

Thevar allegedly went on to state that if anyone who didn’t believe in God criticized those who did, it could lead to dire consequences, metaphorically referring to “blood abhishekam” for Meenakshi Amman instead of the traditional “milk abhishekam.” Annamalai alleged that Annadurai was kept in hiding in Madurai and only managed to escape after issuing an apology.

Documented evidence testify that the said incident happened. The Hindu edition dated 3 June 1956 also carried an article on the same event. However, the report just mentions that Thevar took exception to Annadurai’s speech and that there was no reference to any apology. The New Indian Express report quoting its archives mention that Thevar’s “blood had boiled” over Annadurai’s remarks.

The book titled “Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar – Or Aaivu Kannottam,” published by the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Research Centre details about the incident mentioned by Annamalai.

Former AIADMK MLA Thiruchy Soundararajan, who had close ties with Annadurai, also attested to Thevar’s strong condemnation of Annadurai’s speech at the Madurai event.

However, it’s important to note that there is no newspaper report corroborating Thevar’s statement about conducting an abhishekam with human blood.

For this political speech of Annamalai made in September 2023, the DMK government has sought sanction to prosecute based on a complaint by V. Piyush, an alleged ‘activist’ and a Dravidianist for ‘hate speech’.

In its order, K. Nanathakumar the Secretary to the Government says that Annamalai spoke with an intention to promote disharmony and enmity between groups and considers it as punishable offence.

Reacting to this Annamalai said that the DMK government is going against someone for recalling a past event while awarding plum positions in the party to drug kingpins, hinting at former DMK’s NRI wing functionary and druglord Jaffer Sadiq.

He said, “In the last 3 years, the draconian DMK Govt has filed plenty of cases against me & our BJP Karyakarthas for speaking the truth & has recently issued a sanction to prosecute me yet again. Issue sanctions to prosecute for recalling an event in the past & awarding plum party positions to Drug peddlers reflects the true nature of this DMK Govt in TN. I wholeheartedly thank the DMK Govt for allowing us to recall what Deivathirumaganar Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar said in 1956, which they wish to erase from people’s memories.

He further added “Our message to the DMK Govt: You can’t stop us from exposing what is what. File as many cases as you want!”

Amit Shah And Arvind Kejriwal: The Curious Case Of Indian Judiciary

The recent developments surrounding Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have stirred up considerable discussion on social media. On 10 May 2024, the Supreme Court provided Kejriwal with temporary relief by granting him interim bail until 1 June 2024 in a case related to excise policy scam. This decision has sparked a flurry of reactions, with supporters and critics voicing their opinions.

A bench consisting of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Dutta extended interim bail to the Delhi Chief Minister in a money laundering case initiated by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED). Interestingly, despite the ED’s opposition to granting interim bail to Kejriwal, the Supreme Court imposed relatively lenient conditions on his bail. These conditions include restrictions on his access to the Chief Minister’s office and the Delhi secretariat, except in cases where his signature is essential for obtaining approval from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

The timeline of events leading to this situation is notable. Starting from October 2023, when the ED issued its first summons to Kejriwal, to the subsequent summons and legal actions taken by the ED against him, including complaints filed and summonses issued by magisterial courts, each step has been tactfully evaded. Even after Kejriwal’s arrest by the ED, followed by his petition challenging the arrest in the Delhi High Court, which was subsequently dismissed. Kejriwal then appealed to the Supreme Court against the Delhi HC order. The Supreme Court, while questioning the timing of Kejriwal’s arrest, refrained from providing immediate relief but issued a notice to the ED. Subsequently, as the elections approached, the Supreme Court indicated a possibility of granting interim bail to Kejriwal, acknowledging the significance of his involvement in the electoral process, leading to granting interim bail to accused in custody for campaigning purposes was a first instance.

Overall, the legal proceedings and the Supreme Court’s involvement in Kejriwal’s case have generated considerable interest and debate, underscoring the complexities of the Indian political and legal landscape bacause the recent legal proceedings involving Arvind Kejriwal, are distinct from those concerning the current Home Minister and BJP leader, Amit Shah in 2010.

When Amit Shah Was Banished From Gujarat

On 30 October 2010, the Supreme Court issued a directive to Amit Shah, a former Gujarat minister, requiring him to depart from Gujarat by the following morning, opined that Shah could potentially tamper with evidence. However, despite this instruction, the Court did not revoke his bail, and a hearing regarding this matter was scheduled for 15 November 2010.

This unusual decision was made during a special session held at Justice Aftab Alam’s residence, in response to a plea by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking the annulment of Shah’s bail, which had been granted by the Gujarat High Court the previous day in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. The Bench, which also included Justice R M Lodha, ordered Shah to vacate the state by the next morning and remain outside its jurisdiction until further notice. The case was adjourned for further consideration on 15 November 2024.  He lived in exile, for a span of two years until 2012.

In both instances, an interesting comparison emerges: while Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP leader, skillfully avoided arrest using various legal maneuvers, ultimately securing bail due to the proximity of elections, despite opposition from the ED citing evidence, in contrast, Amit Shah complied with all legal proceedings and directives but spent two years in exile.

Man Arrested For Instigating Anti-CAA Riots Organized Rahul Gandhi’s Event In Lucknow

Rahul Gandhi, the scion of Congress, has once again sparked debate by admitting to certain “mistakes” made by the party and emphasizing the need for political change in the future. This statement emerged during an event held in Lucknow on 10 May 2024. However, what truly grabbed attention was the presence of Deepak Kabir, who was arrested for allegedly inciting riots during anti-CAA protests. His appearance at the event raised eyebrows, particularly since posters featuring him were displayed in Lucknow after members of the now-banned terror outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) confirmed his involvement in the riots.

During the event held in Lucknow, Rahul Gandhi characterized Prime Minister Narendra Modi as more of a monarch than a democratic leader, alleging that he acts as a front for “two-three financiers.” Addressing a query about the Constitution at the event organized by the Samruddha Bharat Foundation, Rahul emphasized the need for the Congress party to evolve its political approach in the future, acknowledging past mistakes within the party. However, he didn’t delve into specifics regarding the changes he believed were necessary. Rahul Gandhi opined, “The Congress party will also have to change its politics in the coming times. This will have to be done. I also want to say that the Congress party has also made mistakes and I am saying this while being from the Congress party.”

Later, Rahul Gandhi asserted his belief that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling BJP would be confined to fewer than 180 seats. Reiterating a prediction made in previous joint rallies with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul confidently stated, “I can give you in writing if you want, that Narendra Modi is not going to be the PM again.” He highlighted his disinterest in political power, viewing it merely as a means to serve the public.

He argued that marginalized groups such as SC/ST, OBC, Dalits, tribals, and minority communities, which constitute around 90% of India’s population, are often denied equal opportunities. He advocated for a caste-based census, asserting that the nation cannot progress without the inclusion of these marginalized sections in various spheres of society. Accusing the Prime Minister of subverting the Constitution, Rahul remarked, “Modi ji is not a prime minister, he is a king.” He alleged that Modi operates as a proxy for a select few financiers who wield real power behind the scenes.

Later, during the Q&A session, Rahul Gandhi  reiterated his readiness to debate with anyone, including the Prime Minister, although he believed Modi would refuse. He suggested that party president Mallikarjun Kharge should also participate in such debates. In response to a question about the exclusion of the Old Pension Scheme from the party manifesto, Gandhi indicated that it could be reconsidered.

Rahul Gandhi said “I am 100 per cent ready to debate with anyone, with the prime minister. But I know the prime minister will not debate with me.”

Rahul acknowledged the difficulty of undoing the privatization of institutions initiated by the Modi administration but committed to averting the complete privatization of significant establishments.

Presence of Controversial Figure Deepak Kabir Linked to Riots Amid Anti-CAA Demonstrations

In 2019, the Uttar Pradesh police detained three officials of the Popular Front of India (PFI) after Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma accused the organization of involvement in violence during anti-CAA demonstrations. These individuals, including Wasim Ahmad, Nadeem Ali, and Ashfaq, who held positions within the UP unit of PFI, admitted to participating in the unrest in Lucknow on December 19. Subsequent inquiries led to the apprehension of others implicated in organizing protests and fueling unrest. Law enforcement confiscated “objectionable” materials, such as pamphlets covering various topics, from the detained individuals. Further investigations resulted in the arrest of Mohammad Shoaib, Deepak Kabir, Robin Verma, and others, allegedly connected to PFI leadership and engaged in mobilizing supporters via social media.

The police asserted that PFI employed a multifaceted approach to fomenting violence during demonstrations, including rallying supporters and directing certain groups to confront law enforcement and media personnel. Alleged evidence, including WhatsApp conversations and images, purportedly demonstrated PFI members’ involvement in organizing and inciting violence. The organization’s presence extended across several districts in Uttar Pradesh, with cases filed against them for distributing provocative materials like posters and banners in specific locations.

Subsequently, Deepak Kabir and 56 others were featured on billboards erected throughout the capital of Uttar Pradesh in relation to the alleged incitement of violence in Lucknow during the 2019 protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Initially considered absconders, Kabir was later arrested and released on bail.

TN BJP Chief Annamalai Recalls Nazi-Type Vilification Of Tamil Brahmin Community By DMK & Dravidianists

“Brahmins Faced ‘Persecution Like Jews, Brahmin-Bashing Still Continues”, Says BJP Leader Annamalai

In a recent interview to The New Indian Express, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai addressed the historical vilification faced by Tamil Brahmins in Tamil Nadu during the 1960s and 70s. He highlighted, “Any Tamil Brahmin who lived in Tamil Nadu during the 1960s and 70s might resonate with what I’m saying. The vilification, the abuse, the act of cutting someone’s hair, ridiculing people’s faith, and even putting a garland of slippers around a portrait of Ram—it was rampant. Every political party meeting, especially those of the DMK in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, was filled with this kind of abuse. There was a concerted effort to target a particular segment of the community, the Brahmin community, just to vilify them and paint them as villains. This strategy was akin to what Hitler did with his propaganda—portraying one group as superior and another as inferior, thereby justifying the need to unite against the so-called villains.

He added, “If we examine the narrative that the DMK promoted during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, unfortunately, this was a time before social media or even traditional electronic media, so many incidents went unreported. For instance, there were instances where Ganapati idols were broken in front of temple priests. This era is poorly documented, and I am eagerly waiting for someone to write a well-researched book that critically analyzes what happened during that time.

He recalled the exodus of Tamil Brahmins, “This period saw the exodus of Tamil Brahmins from Tamil Nadu to places like Mumbai, Delhi, and the California coast. Why did they leave? They felt insecure. The political environment in Tamil Nadu was hostile, with Tamil Brahmins being vilified in political speeches and even in schools, not just by individuals, but by politicians themselves.

He stated the new strategy of vilification by DMK, “However, things have changed now. While the vilification is now more verbal than physical, it still exists. Even today, top leaders of the DMK, if they want to make fun of Tamil Brahmins, resort to a particular dialect to mock them. This kind of catcalling still persists.

My comparison is quite appropriate. I call a spade a spade. I don’t consider caste; I see everyone as equals. Whether someone is performing a pooja in a temple or inside the sanctum worshipping the god, their roles are equally important. For me, there’s no concept of superior or inferior. The DMK tries to assert superiority, but I believe everyone’s work is significant. Whether someone is taking care of an elephant or making garlands for the god, their contributions are equally valuable. So, where does the idea of inferiority and superiority come from?” he Annamalai.

Dear “Educated” Urbanized Hindus, Do Not Be An Enabler Of Your Own End

Prologue

At the beginning, a very much needed disclaimer: This article is not, we repeat, IS NOT against any religion. We do not intend anything harmful to other faiths. It is against our basic doctrine. We wish everyone well. We plead with all the impartial members of other faiths to look at the contents of this article with a balanced, judicious, prudent angle and actively collaborate with their hindu brethren for building a cordial, congenial and concordant society. ‘Live and let live’ is the core catchphrase. This is a cry for survival for hindus, not antithetical to any other faith. There is nothing wrong in telling my son to work hard and be successful in life as long as I do not incite him to inflict injury to his classmate. Is it not?

The Situation Now

The recent working paper by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PM-EAC) that shows how Hindu population has shrunk by 7.8% while the Muslim population grew by 43% is alarming, to say the least. It palpably portends portentous posterity for our progeny, unless we launch resolute remedial action right now. In fact, it is now or never.

Historical Facts

Quite often we read reports that idols of our Hindu deities are excavated/discovered in far off foreign lands, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia etc. On such news, we chuckle with pride and claim that our Sanatana Dharma was followed in the entire globe once upon a time. But, this is not a news to be happy; far from it. We have to ponder over and question ourselves as to why it has vanished now? Also, what is the guarantee that it will continue to exist in our nation? If we don’t act now, are we not paving the way when our future generation will excavate idols of our sacred deities from the remains at Thanjavur, Chidambaram, Srirangam etc.? We shudder to even imagine such a picture. Such an intense reaction of revulsion, recoil, repulsion should instantly develop in our hearts even when we read such archaeological reports. The alarming fact is that our Sanatana Dharma represented by Hindu faith is dwindling fast geographically. Forget about far off Mexico, Russia, South America; It is no longer in nearer places like South East Asian lands, nor in Afghanistan, nor Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. Kashmir was once upon a time the matchless jewel of Sanatana Dharma, a cradle of Vedic education, producer of unrivalled scholars, a beacon of knowledge beckoning students from all over the globe. Now, we know the present situation on which the less said is the better.

Reasons And Remedies

Now, there is no blaming of others. Nothing concrete will come out by throwing the ball in other’s court, while remaining inactive. As long as we attempt to pass the blame, we don’t improve. Hindus themselves are at fault with a major part of their contribution for this pathetic predicament. Let us look at their active and passive errors one by one.

Modern Hindu boys and girls prefer to postpone their marriage and family life as many years as they can. They are more focussed in ‘settling’ in life, gather all furniture and furnishings, facilities and fittings for a fashionable life before planning for marriage. Several crucial years are wasted in the process and when they start the search they are mostly in their late thirties and even early forties. This misconstrued mindset is a mortal mistake and it is the first brick they lay in burying our Sanatana Dharma. The longer they continue this slant, the more difficult the restoration is going to be.

A corollary to late marriage is restriction of begetting children. The number invariably does not go beyond a solitary one. This is suicidal. They are hastening the process of reducing Hindu population.

So, our young Hindu boys and girls should get married as soon as possible, i.e., immediately after reaching the legally permitted age and should not hesitate to beget children in large numbers as soon as they can. They should also eschew the modern mistaken preference for nuclear family and revert to joint family system. This step needs a change in their mindset, an attitude to adjust with each other, adoption of a policy of give and take in every situation.

Elders in the family have a major role to play here. They should not waste their time in useless gossip but involve themselves in teaching moral values to their grandchildren, assisting other member in the daily chores, providing valuable suggestions and advices wherever needed and conduct themselves unobtrusively in such a manner so that they will not be considered as a liability to the family. The earning younger members should bestow all their attention and affection on the aged parents, as a commitment of repaying for their toil in bringing them up. There should be a bond of selfless love and sacrifice among all the members, the home blossoming into a beautiful, blissful Shangri-La.

Complete faith in the tenets of our scriptures by all the members is a sine qua non for the survival and growth of our Sanatana Dharma. In fact, it is much more than faith; it is acceptance of basic verities of life as irrefragable commands. Not only a mental acceptance, but a regular daily practice of all the prescribed duties is a must. Hinduism can flourish only through actual observance of all the laid down rules and not by mere propagation nor preaching.

Even after decades of independence, we blindly continue to adopt the customs and manners of the westerners in dress, in social gatherings, in our daily habits, including eating. Let us switch over to our traditional dress in public, display boldly our sacred bhasma/tilak on our forehead, visit temples and other places daily in our customary attire, thus exhibiting that we mean strict business. Fortunately in all such matters, followers of other faiths have demonstrated themselves as exemplary pioneers. Let us follow them instead of the foreigners.

We should visit our temples with family more often and if possible on a daily basis, arrange lectures on our ithihasas like Ramayanam, Maha Bharatam, Bhagavatam, history of our seers and saints etc. We should ensure that our young children are made aware of our richest repertoire of illuminating injunctions contained in our shastras and their scientific relevance even today.

Nowadays, we witness lot of divisive forces suddenly cropping up among us in various hues and although ostensibly they are claiming to work for the welfare of the respective section, the sinister, deeper agenda of the promoters is to confuse us with contradictory data, to divide us into dissenting groups, create rift among us and destroy our unity as a single entity, viz., Hindus, in other words, followers of Sanatana Dharma. Let us be wary of their intent, be ever watchful and not fall a prey to them. We seem to have forgotten the fundamental formula that we learnt in our first standard that ‘Unity is Strength’. The Hindu society is divided into many constituents and most often they compete among themselves with all animosity and acrimony, allowing the aliens to exploit them. For instance, in Tamil Nadu alone, there are Kongu Vellalars, Yadhavas, Mukkulatthors, Chettiars, Nadars etc. It is a pathetic spectacle that in every election, parties should be careful enough to select a candidate of the local caste, irrespective of his credentials to ensure victory. This is indeed, sad. In Mahabharata, once Duryodana and his brothers were taken as prisoners by Gandharvas. While others rejoiced at this spectacle, Yudhishtira was very clear. He directed Arjuna to go immediately, fight with the Gandharvas and release Duryodana and others. Yudhishtira said, ‘We may be having quarrels with Duryodana; but, when it comes to dealing with an outsider, we are one, we are brothers’. Therefore, whatever be the inner sect, philosophy, caste, creed etc. to which we may belong, when the crucial moment like election comes, we should be firm that we are ONE. We will voice our opinion as one. In other religions also there are umpteen divisions and they fight with each other with all their force, but when the occasion demands they unite as one voice. Let us follow their example to the ‘T’.

Conclusion

It is now or never. It is in the hands of our young force to realise the present perilous condition, develop staunch attachment to our Sanatana Dharma and act as soldiers to protect it from predators and preserve it for posterity. No useful purpose is served by looking at the frightening statistical figures and feeling forlorn. Let us start shaping our own history for the benefit of all. We reiterate the discalimer with which we started that we are not against any religion. Our motto is ‘Sarve Janna Sukhino Bhavanthu’. We wish, as ordained in our Sanaana Dharma, every prosperity for all mankind.

सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामया, सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चिद् दुख भागभवेत।

Andhra Pradesh’s Political Turmoil: The Battle for Survival

In Jagan Reddy’s Andhra Pradesh that Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP vows to save and salvage, post the 13th May 2024 elections, anything is game in the fight for political survival. Andhra’s political shenanigans are at its worst. A.P politics have been in the news, for silly reasons. In a new low, Naidu’s TDP (Telugu Desam Party) and Reddy’s YSRCP (YSR Congress party) have been accusing each other of entering people’s bedrooms, ahead of the state’s one day-single phase elections for both the state assembly and the Lok Sabha – they are blame-gaming each other for advertising their parties on condom packages!

The incumbent YSRCP, a first-time winner in politics post the 2019 elections, has been accused of a long list of electoral strategies, blatantly flouting the MCC (Model Code of Conduct), the Election Commission of India’s set of clearly defined rules for appropriate conduct in public, during the crucial pre-election phase. Jagan has too much to lose both personally and politically, if his YSR Congress party ends up losing the 2024 elections.

Currently out on an extended bail for a number of already proven financial and criminal cases, Jagan Reddy is sure to get arrested by the CBI and the ED, if he loses this election. His political loss would be significant too. His new, fledgling party with an experience of just two electoral participations and one win, may die an early death, if its only founder, ends up in prison, for a longer term than the year and a half that Jagan had already spent in jail, before the 2019 elections. Apparently, in anticipation of a tough election and the likelihood of a win for the opposition TDP party and its NDA alliance, Jagan Reddy, his immediate family and his closest aide, Vijay Sai Reddy, have already applied for visas to the U.K!

Aside from the ridiculous ‘condom campaign’ adverts, the YSRCP has been caught with various other campaign techniques including the usual bets of food, liquor, clothing and money distribution. Among Jagan Reddy’s unique, hitherto unheard of attempts, to bypass the Election Commission’s rules for the election process and its published rules of conduct under the MCC, are the following:

– Attempts to influence the ECI (Election Commission of India) in selecting YSRCP party “volunteers” to act as election agents at polling booths. Jagan Reddy tried arguing that the volunteers (high school graduates at a minimum) were already engaged in the distribution of government welfare benefits and hence qualified to be trained and employed for election duty.

– A phone/ internet based link or barcode provided during the YSRCP’s door-to-door campaign. The voter is asked to pledge support to the YSRCP and given access to a payment link / barcode. Clicking on the link ensures a payment of anywhere between two to four thousand rupees per person, deposited into the voter’s bank account besides the thousands given away last month.

– Advertising to the electorate about promised sums of money if they abstain from voting or promise not to vote for the TDP-JSP-BJP (NDA) alliance in Andhra.

– Fear mongering among the Scheduled classes about all welfare schemes, both state and central, coming to an absolute end, if the TDP comes to power.

– Continued disregard for directions from both the A.P High Court as well as the ECI (Election Commission of India) against the YSRCP’s use of its “volunteers” taking the place of regular government employees, for the disbursement of free goods and funds, in the name of welfare schemes.

– Continued disregard for painting all government offices and service providers with the colours of the YSRCP party.

– Open and blatant misuse of the state’s police and its agencies to such an extent that, after several warnings to the current YSRCP government, the ECI insisted on replacing the DGP (Director General of Police) of Andhra Pradesh with another senior IPS officer, less than two weeks ahead of the May 13 election date. In all fairness to the replaced top cop of the state, the public knows him as a decent professional by and large, wanting to abide by the law yet unable to curb excessive interference from Jagan Reddy and his leaders.

– Claiming that the Opposition leader, Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP, has asked various financial institutions and central government agencies to disregard his own state and refuse financial aid to A.P.

– In spite of warnings from the ECI, enticing the public with announcements of paying all delayed or missing pension and welfare-benefits payments (many claim the delay to be an intentional one) just one or two days before the election date of May 13.

– The ECI took serious offense to the above announcement, in spite of its earlier warnings against such late payments during the pre-election period. On being strictly forbidden from implementing his plan, Jagan Reddy stated that his party wanted to generously pay regular as well as additional pension and benefit amounts but that the opposition parties were preventing him from doing his “duty” for the people.

– Granting a senior YSRCP MLA, Peddi Reddy and his son, another YSRCP MLA, permission to illegally prevent any opposition parties from campaigning in their constituencies, with violent means such as intimidating and thrashing the opposition’s rally participants and damaging their campaign vehicles. In a shocking incident, reminiscent of medieval times, the local YSRCP leader and his family, openly used violence in stopping the campaign of the opposition, while the police were asked to remain silent bystanders.

– Having his party make remarks about his own sister, Y S Sharmila of the A.P Congress party unit, regarding her birth and paternity. The outrageous remarks crossing a line of decency and personal attacks on character, were made out of frustration, for her role in a probable split of the Minority and Scheduled caste vote bank, between his own YSR Congress party and her Indian National Congress (INC) party, likely resulting in an advantage for the TDP and the NDA alliance.

Youth Trio Nabbed For Ganja Consumption With OCB Sheets And Crusher In Broad Daylight In Marina Beach

It was quite alarming to witness the reports emerging from Chennai, detailing the brazen consumption of marijuana by three young individuals using sophisticated crushers and OCB sheets, openly indulging in broad daylight amidst the crowd at Marina Beach.

The incident unfolded near the GU Pope statue on Chennai’s Marina Beach, where the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) had erected shaded areas with barriers to restrict access. Despite these measures, the three youths managed to enter and were seated under the shade, engaging in suspicious conversations and laughter. When Chief Editor Jebarson of News Tamil 24X7 approached, he was astonished to observe them consuming ganja, aided by sophisticated marijuana crushers and OCB sheets. Concerned, he promptly alerted the patrol police.

Initially, the police hesitated to respond, claiming the area fell outside their jurisdiction. However, they eventually arrived to investigate. As officials probed the youths about the source of the ganja, they remained tight-lipped. Upon the police’s arrival, the youths attempted to flee but were apprehended. Subsequently, they were taken into custody, filed a complaint, and eventually released to their families on parole.

The activists are sounding the alarm about the troubling increase in drug use among young people, emphasizing the negative implications for society. They argue that since youths are the cornerstone of the economy, it’s imperative to aggressively tackle the prevalence of drugs. The pressing question is that this time these youths were apprehended before reaching their peak. What if the reporter had questioned them after they were in an altered state? There’s a possibility of assault against the reporter, or they might have harmed the public for amusement, as they are unaware of their actions when under the influence.

A recent incident during the Chithirai festival in the Othakkadai area of Madurai involved youths intoxicated with ganja severely assaulting a family man returning from work. This incident sparked widespread condemnation, with the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court criticizing the police for their perceived lack of action in preventing drug-related incidents. It’s widely agreed that this menace must be swiftly addressed to safeguard the community.

Transgender Student Denied Admission By Multiple Colleges Offered Free Seat For BSc Psychology By Kongu Nadu Arts And Science College

A transgender student named D. Ajitha who achieved a score of 373 marks in her Class XII board exams, has been diligently seeking admission to a college for higher studies. Unfortunately, her applications were rejected by several colleges, leaving her disappointed. However, her luck changed when a private college offered her a seat in the BSc Psychology course, and without any fees.

Ajitha completed her Class XII education at North Coimbatore Corporation Higher Secondary School. After media reports highlighted her struggles to secure admission for a graduate course, the management of Kongu Nadu Arts and Science College (KASC) reached out to her and offered her a seat in the course she had been aspiring to pursue.

Reflecting on her experience, Ajitha said, “After receiving my results, I applied to several colleges, but none of them were willing to grant me admission. At that point, I received a call from KASC. I was overjoyed. I hope other colleges take this as an example and provide free education to transgender individuals in need.

She also pointed out the difficulties transgender individuals face in accessing education and employment opportunities, often forcing them into begging or prostitution. “If we are provided with education and job opportunities, we can improve our livelihoods.”

C. A. Vasuki, the secretary of KASC, stated, “We not only acknowledge her academic merit but also reaffirm our commitment to promoting diversity and ensuring access to education for everyone.”

TN BJP Prez Annamalai Condemns Forced Eviction & Abuse Of Forest Dwellers By TN Govt Officials In Hogenakkal Forest Area

In a startling event in Dharmapuri, the forceful eviction of families residing in the forested area near Pennagaram by forest officials has stirred up widespread shock.

These families, including fishermen and farmers from areas like Yamanur, Singapuram, and Sandal Thetu, have dwelled in these lands for generations. Among them, over 15 families residing in Edattaru and Veppamarattu Kombu near Hogenakkal, have lived there for at least five generations, primarily engaging in cattle breeding and fishing.

The recent eviction saw over 10 forest officials orchestrating the removal, resorting to abusive behavior, demolishing houses, and employing various oppressive tactics. Visuals show distressing sight of roofs being torn off houses and women being forcibly dragged out. As a result, three individuals, including two women, a kid sustained injuries and were subsequently admitted to Pennagaram Government Hospital.

Social activists and politicians are raising voices against this atrocity, emphasizing the necessity for the forest department to adopt more humane approaches and decrying such chaotic actions as utterly condemnable.

In this regard, the Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai, has strongly criticized the ruling DMK government, stating that, “The news and videos of Tamil Nadu forest department forcefully evicting the indigenous people of Pennagaram Hogenakkal forest area in Dharmapuri district are shocking. Throwing away the belongings of the natives, tearing apart the roofs, and forcibly evicted the women and children without even looking at them. The DMK government is showing its authority only on the poor and needy people, ignoring those who corrupt and loot the people’s money, smuggles counterfeit liquor and drugs. The forest is for the indigenous people. I strongly condemn this repression of the DMK government, which abuses its power and removes them without providing them with proper housing facilities.”
