Dravidian Model: Cry Foul About Imaginary Hindi Imposition, Embrace Urdu Imposition

Dravidian Model: Cry Foul About Imaginary Hindi Imposition, Embrace Urdu Imposition

The entire Dravidian ecosystem seems to have come together once again to reignite the long-debated issue of “Hindi imposition” by alleging that Tamil Nadu’s Governor, RN Ravi, had omitted the phrase “Dravida Nal Thirunadu” from the official state song, ‘Tamizh Thaai Vazhthu.’ This sparked a heated exchange between Chief Minister MK Stalin and Governor Ravi. They leveraged this oversight to fuel a controversy surrounding allegations of Hindi imposition in the Tamil-speaking state and wrote a letter to the prime minister.

Background

The controversy erupted during the Hindi Month valedictory function at Doordarshan Kendra in Chennai, where the singers mistakenly omitted the line “Thekkanamum adhil sirantha Dravida nal thiru naadum,” which translates to “the great Dravidian nation in the Deccan,” from the state anthem.

Chief Minister MK Stalin swiftly condemned this omission and wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He argued that celebrating Hindi Month in non-Hindi speaking states is perceived as diminishing other languages and suggested that such events should be discontinued. Instead, he advocated for the promotion of local language months in their respective states.

Cheif Minister MK Stalin via his official X account stated, “I strongly condemn the celebration of Hindi Month valedictory function along with the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Chennai Doordarshan. Hon’ble @PMOIndia, The Constitution of India does not grant national language status to any language. In a multilingual nation, celebrating Hindi Month in non-Hindi speaking states is seen as an attempt to belittle other languages.”

He recommended that, “Therefore, I suggest that holding such Hindi-oriented events in non-Hindi speaking states could be avoided, and instead, the celebration of the local language month in the respective states should be encouraged.”

However, Stalin’s criticisms extended beyond the celebration of Hindi month valedictory; he also accused Governor RN Ravi of removing the term “Dravidian” from the anthem under the pretext of celebrating Hindi.

Describing the governor as having a “Dravidian allergy,” Stalin called for his recall, claiming he had “deliberately insulted” the people of Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister MK Stalin stated in another post, “Is he Governor? or Aryan? Removing the word Dravidian and reciting Tamil Thai anthem is against the law of Tamil Nadu! A person who acts according to his will and not act according to the law is not fit to hold that office. In the guise of celebrating Hindi, the governor is insulting the unity of the country and the people of different races living in this land!”

“Will the governor, who suffers from Dravidian allergy, leave out Dravidian in the national anthem? The Union Government should immediately recall the Governor who is deliberately insulting Tamil Nadu and the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu!” He further added.

Governor Ravi’s Reaction To CM Stalin’s Remarks

This accusation did not sit well with Governor Ravi, who retorted that Stalin’s comments were “unfortunately cheap” and argued that such accusations “lower the dignity” of the constitutional office of the Chief Minister. He stated that there are forces, both domestically and internationally, that seek to obstruct the country’s progress.

Governor RN Ravi stated, Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru. @mkstalin has issued a regrettable tweet this evening in which he made a racist remark against me and levelled false allegation of showing disrespect to Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu. He knows it well that I recite full Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu at every function and do so with reverence, pride and precision. He also knows that under leadership Hon’ble Prime Minister Thiru. @narendramodi the Central govt has proudly created several institutions for spread of Tamil language and heritage within India including Tamil Nadu and several countries of the world. #PMModi took Tamil even to the United Nations.”

Emphasizing his own efforts Ravi stated, “As a proud Indian I myself have taken numerous substantive initiatives to spread Tamil, the oldest and richest living language, in other states of the country, the latest being to set up, with cooperation of the Assam govt, a Tamil diploma course in Gauhati University for spread of Tamil in the North East.”

In a final blow to the DMK’s agenda, Ravi stated, “Making racist remark and alleging incorrect imputations against governor by the chief minister is unfortunately cheap and lowers the dignity of the high constitutional office of the chief minister. Since he rushed to public with his racist remarks and false imputations I am constrained to respond.” – Governor Ravi.”

Hypocrisy Of Dravidian Model Governance

Do you think the DMK government genuinely cares about the Tamil language, or is it merely a political maneuver?

Let’s uncover the truth behind the Dravidian model. When the DMK suddenly cries out against Hindi imposition, we should note that the central government promotes the language internationally through World Hindi Diwas on 10 January and nationally on 14 September, regardless of which party is in power. Does the state government have a Tamil Day to promote its language?

Did the DMK voice concerns when it was part of the UPA from 2004 to 2014? During that time, the same Hindi imposition occurred under DMK’s rule alongside Congress. What was Stalin doing then?

When Chief Minister MK Stalin suddenly bats, “The Constitution of India does not grant national language status to any language. In a multilingual nation, celebrating Hindi Month in non-Hindi speaking states is seen as an attempt to belittle other languages,” he overlooks that the same Constitution, under Article 351, directs the central government to promote Hindi. Does he not understand his constitutional responsibilities?

The height of hypocrisy is evident when Tamil Nadu CM Stalin writes to the Prime Minister requesting not to impose Hindi, while his education minister promotes his proficiency in Urdu, a language closely related to Hindi, in state-run government schools.

Yes, on 10 October 2024, DMK Minister Anbil Mahesh Poiyamozhi conducted a surprise inspection at the government-aided Mazharul Uloom Urdu Higher Secondary School in the Ambur constituency. He participated in an Urdu language class to observe the teaching and learning process. To the delight of the Urdu students, he wrote his name, “Anbil,” in Urdu and asked them to read it aloud. The Urdu teacher then wrote the minister’s full name in Urdu, expressing gratitude and congratulations to him.

Not just that, the Dravidian model, which emphasizes “Tamil,” insists that everyone to prove their proficiency in the language, yet it shows a leniency toward Urdu-speaking Muslims who are exempt from taking the Tamil exam in the state. This raises concerns about their heightened ignorance.

Furthermore, if Hindi and Sanskrit are considered enemies of Tamil, then promoting them can be seen as an imposition. In that case, what does that make Urdu, which has vocabulary rooted in languages like Sanskrit and Prakrit and shares origins with Hindi? Urdu is often referred to as a ‘sister’ language due to its similar grammatical structures. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is, how will the Dravidian leaders justify this contradiction?

Does the DMK thinks that only Muslims in the state should have the right to use and practice Hindi, given its close ties to Urdu, while others are excluded?

Boat: Yet Another Dravidian Propaganda Film With Brahmins Made The Punching Bag

Boat: Yet Another Dravidian Propaganda Film With Brahmins Made The Punching Bag

Boat – a 1940s Dravidian propaganda stage play, masquerading as a Tamil feature filmHere is a thread that reviews this film with a clear agenda.

On 11 October 1943, Japanese warplanes bombed the Madras presidency in a nighttime raid. Fearing another attack, 9 random people get on a boat to secure themselves in mid-ocean, with one uninvited British guest who joins them later, with a gun. ‘Did they all survive?’ is the plot.

The 9 characters stuck on a boat are carefully chosen to represent a Mini-India.

The fisherman & his grandma help onboard a pregnant Telugu woman and her sick son, a Sait, a regular Muslim, a regular Hindu, and the usual villains of Tamil cinema – a casteist Tamil Brahmin uncle and his daughter.

They have chosen an innocent, hardworking, good fisherman – who confronts a blatant casteist uncle who justifies the non-entry of the downtrodden into the temples.

This character is basically a punching bag – his bigotry is contrasted with goodness from other sensible characters. If evil casteist Tamil Brahmins are the bigoted villains, then according to Tamil cinema, who is the brave savior of Tamils? EVR, of course.

Curd rice-eating casteist uncle is the supervillain who is defeated by a superhero – atheist EVR who reformed us – this is textbook Dravidianist propaganda.

There’s a clear motive in the characterization – they wantonly depict this despicable Tamil Brahmin character as someone who praises a Britisher and takes his side.

This is Goebell-level reinforcement of the Dravidianist agenda – to villainize and gaslight a community in all ways possible.

In reality – Tamil Brahmins were at the forefront of the Indian independence movement, even as EVR called 15 August 1947 a black day.

Karma theory – a belief by Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists alike – is derided as something that applies only to those who think they are superior.

In reality, Karma theory is a native belief in causality that is a rough explanation for human suffering. Abrahamic faiths offer no better explanation for why suffering and blessings are so unevenly distributed – if the One God was so fair.

Seeing the film’s opening image and who is being thanked might help put the pieces together – why is the Indic native belief system in Karma derided in this film?

No other character/community is villainized the way the Tamil Brahmin character is. The Muslim is a peaceful person who offers namaz even in a boat and couldn’t even tolerate that he killed a rat by mistake, in anger.

“One who can control his anger is the great man,” says his Prophet. Oh, is it?

Tipu is listed as a freedom fighter alongside real freedom fighters like Poolithevan, Velu Nachiyaar, Azhagumuthukone, and Marudhu brothers.

Propaganda 101 – When you are lying, ensure the lie is surrounded with truthful facts so that it doesn’t stand out.

When the Britisher says your country will split into two, the Hindu character says that even if our country splits into 10, in every Muslim area, there will be a Hindu temple, and vice versa. How many temples remain in Pakistan and Bangladesh? How many Hindus live safely in these countries?

And he makes predictions about the future – spitting upon rogues who use religion for politics, from 1945. The film is against dividing people on a religious basis but goes soft on Jinnah. The irony. Why did Partition happen, and on what basis?

The film highlights using a radio news announcement that EVR stands in alignment with Ambedkar and Jinnah’s ideologies. This sums up the Dravidian vote bank, and who this film targeted this message for. It is not about activism or progress, but about consolidation.

The film seeks to consolidate its Dravidianist in-group against the Aryan outgroups. It kept a fully muted/censored scene with this dialogue where the casteist uncle says at gunpoint: “That freedom fighting guy is not from my comm. Bharathi is Iyer, We are Iyengar, we are not the same.” Would any sensible Dravidianist associate themselves with such a despicable Aryan group? – is the subconscious messaging. But wait – not all Aryans are to be hated.

The fisherman and the casteist uncle’s daughter develop mild feelings for each other. This girl does not see inequality and falls head over heels with the fisherman’s strength and his way of life. She even sings a Carnatic song with North Madras phrases to prove this. Aryan males are the enemies of D, but not the females. Could not have summarized the ideology better.

Bonus: A deleted Scene from the film shows how we will realize the worth of Britishers and what they did for us, only after they leave.

Truly, EVR’s “grandsons” in thought, word and deed💯

“Satyameva Jayate”: Isha Foundation’s Sanyasis Maa Mathi And Maa Maayu Give Statement After Vindication By Supreme Court, Refute Media Allegations

Isha Foundation's Sanyasis Maa Mathi And Maa Maayu Give Statement After Vindication By Supreme Court

After enduring a barrage of false accusations from Dravidian media, the women who were previously reported missing, Maa Mathi and Maa Maayu, have issued a statement firmly refuting the allegations. They expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for affirming their right to live on their own terms and shared their experiences of being part of the ancient traditions of brahmacharya and Sanatana Dharma.

In a video shared by the Isha Foundation on 19 October 2024, one of the sanyasis, Ma Maayu stated, “Just now Dusshera got over. They say the Dusshera is a celebration of the victory of good over evil; this is something I feel: the victory of truth, ‘Satyameva Jayate.’ Truth is not something that I see as speaking facts or distorting the facts. For us, truth is on a much deeper level, as in truth is what is throbbing within me and what is throbbing within every human being.”

She then thanked the Supreme Court for upholding her rights, stating, “My truth is that the way I see myself is the way I see other human beings I come across. My truth is that I cannot identify myself with just one or two as just my blood and flesh; my truth is that everybody I see is my flesh and blood. This is the victory of that, and this is the victory of the fact that a human being cannot be contained by the structure of the larger society. So, this is the victory of that ‘Satyameva Jayate.’ I would like to thank the Supreme Court of India for reinforcing the trust in the Constitution.”

Then, addressing the lies of the Dravidian media‘s allegations, she said, “Few allegations from various sides were that we have been influenced. I like to say that I’m a person who is influenced by what is within me. Right from the beginning of my journey in Isha, I just come and participate in the programs; then I go back. I did not interact with anybody. It was not until after 7 years after I did the first program, that I knew something called monkhood existed which I could also take. I was such an introvert and a tacit person. Only after I came to know about it, I did realize that this is the way I’m already living, and this is the natural course for me. The only influence in me is what is happening within me.”

Maa Mathi criticized the scrutiny they faced from the media trails, stating, “So, in the past 8 years since 2016, there was media’s scrutiny and invasion, which has been really distressing. On and off, they were asking; we were really out at our own will, and today in the media, it is just blown up; our personal details are all over. It doesn’t matter whether it is a man or a woman; I request people to give the right to privacy and freedom in which I live my life. I wish that my privacy is respected, and that people understand in what need we are coming, rather than invading our privacy and way of life. It’s not like we have come here all of a sudden and became monks.”

She asserted that the Isha Foundation provided them the space to settle and reflect on their life choices, including whether they wanted to pursue marriage. Only after assessing all the paths, were they allowed to make their decisions.

DMK Mouthpiece Kalaignar News Hails Hamas Terrorist Yahya Sinwar Death As “Heroic”

DMK Mouthpiece Kalaignar News Hails Hamas Terrorist Yahya Sinwar Death As "Heroic"

The news of the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar seems to have evoked a variety of reactions across the world. Not far from home, in Tamil Nadu, the Dravidianist mouthpiece Kalaignar News owned by the first family of the state, has hailed his death as “heroic”.

What Did Kalaignar News Post?

In a post on their social media handle (X), they wrote,

“Heroic Death of Hamas Leader! A video of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar recording his protest by throwing a stick at a drone Israel sent into his home to ensure his death has gone viral on the internet.

#Hamas #yahyasinwar #Israel #KalaignarSeithigal”

Hailing Terrorists – Recent Events

It is noteworthy that the neutralization of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah by Israel on 28 September 2024, saw a controversial banner honouring Nasrallah as a “great hero” and depicting his death as “heroic” in Chennai. This banner was displayed outside a mosque in the Mirshahipet area, raising concerns about local support for terrorism. The banner contained quotes praising Nasrallah and referred to his death as martyrdom.

Who Was Yahya Sinwar & How Did He Die?

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, was confirmed dead on Friday, 18 October 2024, after being killed in a confrontation with a group of Israeli trainee soldiers in Tal as-Sultan, Rafah, on Wednesday, 16 October 2024. Sinwar had been leading Hamas since the deaths of the group’s political leaders, Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and senior commander Mohammed Deif in Gaza, earlier this year. He spent 22 years in Israeli prison before being released in a 2011 prisoner exchange. Reports of his death began circulating on Thursday, 17 October 2024, marking a significant moment for the organization.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by a gunshot wound to the head, according to an autopsy overseen by Dr. Chen Kugel, director of Israel’s National Forensic Institute. Reports indicate that Sinwar, 61, sustained severe injuries before his death, including a smashed forearm due to shrapnel from a possible missile or tank shell. In a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, Sinwar used an electrical cord, which proved ineffective. His identity was confirmed through DNA testing, as part of a process initiated after a finger was severed and sent for analysis.

The autopsy was conducted 24 to 36 hours after his death, and the body was subsequently handed over to the Israeli military. Sinwar was a primary target of Israel and was implicated in orchestrating the October 7 attack that resulted in over 1,200 Israeli fatalities. A drone video captured his last moments, showing him in distress before a tank shell struck the building.

Drug Menace Rose In NE After Military Coup In Myanmar, Unrest In Manipur: Officials

Drug Menace Rose In NE After Military Coup In Myanmar, Unrest In Manipur: Officials

After the military coup in Myanmar in February 2021 and the ethnic turmoil in Manipur since May 2023, illegal drug-related activities and smuggling into the country’s northeastern region increased, officials said on Friday, stressing the need to step up vigilance and action to curb the drug menace.

Meghalaya Social Welfare Minister, Paul Lyngdoh, said that the ethnic unrest in neighbouring Manipur caused the growing drug trafficking in the mountainous state.

“This is an unfortunate part because of our region’s strategic location and very proximity to the ‘Golden Triangle’ drug menaces are active in the region,” he told the media.

The Minister, who also holds the Arts, Culture and Tourism Departments, said that due to the unrest in Manipur, illicit drugs trade has shifted from that particular area to Meghalaya, and it has become a major challenge for the government.

Saying that the state’s police and law-enforcing agencies have been kept on alert, he announced that the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) would be further strengthened and the ANTF would be headed by a senior retired IPS officer.

The Minister said that he would soon visit Delhi to apprise the concerned central ministry about the seriousness and growing drug menace in Meghalaya.

Lyngdoh said that earlier only the police department was dealing with drug-related activities and now various departments and wings are very proactive to curb the drug-related challenges.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma personally looked after the matter and it shows the level of seriousness of the government, he said. “We are in the process of constituting the Village Defence Party (VDP).

The DREAM (Drug Reduction, Elimination & Action Mission) would be further strengthened,” the Social Welfare Minister said.

Meanwhile, in Aizawl, senior police officers and other security officials submitted that smuggling of drugs, mostly heroin and methamphetamine tablets, also known as party tablets or Yaba, into India from Myanmar, has risen to a great extent after the military coup in the neighbouring country in February 2021.

The Assam Rifles, which has been guarding the unfenced 510 km of border with Myanmar, have seized different types of drugs valued at around Rs 67 crore and arrested eight drug peddlers, including three Myanmarese, during the last one week.

Officials said that during the six separate operations during the past one week, the paramilitary troopers seized 350 grams of heroin, 22.309 kg of methamphetamine tablets, 7.6 kg of ganja (Marijuana) and 90 lakhs of illegal Indian currencies.

Mizoram Police and Customs officials also often accompanied the Assam Rifles personnel in the operations against the illegal drugs peddling. Mizoram, southern Assam and Tripura have become corridors of drug smuggling as the three northeastern states share borders with Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Officials said that all the drugs smuggled from Myanmar and through Mizoram are ferried to southern Assam and Tripura to further smuggle these to Bangladesh or other parts of India.

Bomb Threat Diverts London-Bound Vistara Flight From Delhi To Frankfurt

Bomb Threat Diverts London-Bound Vistara Flight From Delhi To Frankfurt

A Vistara flight bound for London from Delhi was diverted to Frankfurt after a bomb threat. The airline said on Saturday that it had landed safely at Frankfurt Airport. Mandatory security checks were being carried out.

Once these checks are completed, the flight will continue its journey to London. “Flight UK17 from Delhi to London (DEL-LHR) has been diverted to Frankfurt (FRA) and is expected to arrive in Frankfurt at 2110 hours LT (Local Time). Please stay tuned for further updates,” the airline said in a post on the social media platform, X.

The airline’s spokesperson stated that Vistara flight UK17, operating from Delhi to London on October 18, 2024, received a security threat via social media. Following established protocols, the relevant authorities were notified, and the flight was diverted to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure.

“In line with the protocol, all relevant authorities were immediately informed and as a precautionary measure, the pilots decided to divert the flight to Frankfurt,” the spokesperson said. An informed official confirmed that the threat involved a bomb scare.

Meanwhile, Akasa Air reported that its flight QP 1366, scheduled from Bengaluru to Mumbai on Friday, received a security alert just before takeoff.

In compliance with safety protocols, all passengers were deplaned while local authorities conducted necessary procedures. The airline, in a post on X, apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Recently, almost 40 flights operated by Indian airlines have been subjected to bomb threats, all of which were later determined to be frauds.

In response, the Civil Aviation Ministry is considering stricter regulations, including placing individuals responsible for hoax bomb threats on a no-fly list.

Dravidianist Media Distorts Truth About Missing Persons At Isha Yoga Centre

Dravidianist Media Distorts Truth About Missing Persons At Isha Yoga Centre

In recent developments surrounding the Isha Yoga Centre, the Dravidianist media has constantly made it a point to constantly denounce and portray the organisation in a negative light. An affidavit filed by the Tamil Nadu Police in the Supreme Court has been systematically distorted, leading to sensational headlines that mislead the public about the reality.

The affidavit states that in the last 15 years, the Alandurai police station with the Isha Foundation within its jurisdiction, has registered six missing cases, of which 5 have been dropped and the 6th one is under investigation since the missing person has not been traced. Contrary to the claims made by various news channels, there is no mention ofmanymissing persons from the yoga centre in the affidavit, which paints an entirely different picture than what is being reported.

Media Narrative

For instance, Puthiyathalaimurai sensationalized the situation by stating, Many people who went to the Isha Yoga Center have gone missing; even the police could not trace the missing persons, and incorrectly asserted that a crematorium is already operational within the centre, despite it being under construction and disputed by nearby residents.

Similarly, the DMK’s mouthpiece Sun News echoed these inaccuracies, stating,Many people have gone missing at Isha Yoga Centre, while fabricating claims about expired medicines being administered at the facility. Such sweeping statements have only served to stoke public fear and foster mistrust towards the Isha Yoga Centre without any substantive evidence.

The affidavit explicitly clarifies that the police had also received seven complaints regarding suicides linked to the Isha Yoga Centre, with two still under investigation pending forensic lab reports. Yet, these critical details were conveniently overlooked by media outlets in favor of more provocative narratives.

Cases Against Isha Yoga Centre

In the ongoing habeas corpus case involving two monk sisters, Maa Mathi and Maa Maayu, the police informed the Supreme Court that the sisters are living at the centre voluntarily, maintaining regular contact with their parents. They even requested their family to refrain from spreading falsehoods about their lives at the institution. However, this information has been lost amid the sensationalism.

Moreover, while the affidavit reports that there are 217 Brahmacharis, 2,455 volunteers, and 891 paid staff living at the Isha Yoga Centre, news channels have failed to provide a balanced view. Instead, they have chosen to emphasize aspects negatively without acknowledging the vibrant community life that exists within the institution.

It is noteworthy that on 2 October 2024, the Supreme Court of India took over a petition concerning allegations against the Isha Yoga Foundation, previously handled by the Madras High Court. The court prohibited the Tamil Nadu police from further action based on the High Court’s earlier directions, emphasizing that police cannot intrude into such institutions. Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi argued that two women, allegedly held against their will, affirmed they were there voluntarily.

The Supreme Court also addressed the allegations surrounding the yoga centre, noting that the two monks were not facing coercion and were free to leave at any time. The court’s remarks indicated that the habeas corpus petition filed by the father of the two women was not warranted, suggesting that his intentions may not have been purely for their welfare.

Despite these judicial clarifications, the media has perpetuated the narrative of wrongdoing at the Isha Yoga Centre, citing allegations without proper context or evidence. The Supreme Court further pointed out that such legal proceedings should not serve as a platform for character assassination against individuals or institutions.

The court’s order clarified that the closure of the habeas corpus proceedings does not impede the ongoing investigations into other allegations against the Isha Foundation, but it also stressed the need for responsible reporting, urging that the media should not misconstrue or manipulate legal matters for sensationalism.

Spreading False Narratives

The media has been systematically portraying Isha Yoga Centre in a bad light for quite some time. There are allegations that Isha Centre has been a trouble for missionary institutions such as Karunya and preventing their conversion activities. The media trial of Isha Centre has been going on for a while, here is a summary of the allegations and myths being spread about Isha Yoga Centre.

Myth #1 – Crematorium Case

The Isha Foundation faced allegations regarding an allegedly illegal crematorium in Boluvampatti village, stemming from a complaint by the Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam (TPDK). Media outlets like The News Minute misrepresented the situation, framing the foundation negatively after a confrontation with TPDK activists, who claimed to be a “Fact-Finding Committee.” In reality, the Isha Foundation constructed the crematorium in response to local needs, particularly for Scheduled Tribes communities lacking access to cremation facilities. The Coimbatore District Court and Madras High Court have upheld the legality of the construction, dismissing TPDK’s accusations and emphasizing that the foundation’s actions were in response to genuine community requests.

Myth #2 – The Elephant Corridor & Isha Mahashivaratri Ban

Claims that the Isha Foundation is located within an elephant corridor have been repeatedly debunked. Affidavits from the Tamil Nadu Forest Department and the Ministry of Environment confirm that Isha is not situated in an elephant corridor. Despite this, Dravidianist groups have sought to ban the Mahashivaratri festival, claiming it disturbs wildlife. The National Green Tribunal permitted the festival to proceed, stipulating those necessary permissions be obtained and emphasizing that no human-wildlife conflict had occurred during previous celebrations. The ongoing legal battles reflect a targeted agenda against the Isha Foundation rather than genuine environmental concerns, with media often neglecting to cover the court’s rulings in favor of the foundation.

Myth #3 – Brainwashing Volunteers

Accusations against the Isha Foundation claimed it brainwashed volunteers into becoming sanyasins, leading to a habeas corpus petition filed by a retired professor regarding his daughters. However, the Madras High Court dismissed the petition after confirming that the individuals stayed at the foundation voluntarily. The court’s report noted no coercion or captivity, affirming the foundation’s commitment to promoting well-being. The Isha Foundation highlighted that its volunteers, numbering over 3 million, participate willingly. The court’s ruling reinforced that the foundation operates based on voluntary commitment to a spiritual path, dismissing narratives of coercion as unfounded.

Myth #4 – Missing Volunteers Case

Allegations of missing volunteers from the Isha Foundation were investigated by Tamil Nadu police, who ultimately cleared the foundation of wrongdoing. Most volunteers had left for personal reasons and later returned. The case emerged from a habeas corpus petition concerning one missing volunteer, prompting the court to inquire into the matter. Despite initial reports of several missing individuals, police confirmed that the majority returned and that the case was being dismissed due to the petitioner’s absence from the hearings. This case illustrates the unfounded nature of accusations against the foundation, emphasizing the volunteers’ autonomy and voluntary participation in its activities.

Myth #5 – Isha’s Samskriti Case

Vetriselvan, an advocate against the Isha Foundation, attempted to impose restrictions on Isha Samskriti, a school that teaches Vedic knowledge and traditional Indian martial arts. His petition to ban the school from admitting children aged six to eight was dismissed by the Madras High Court, which criticized it for limiting educational diversity. The court noted that India has various educational systems and that imposing a singular model is inappropriate. Vetriselvan’s claims of violations regarding unapproved buildings and standards for free education were rejected. Isha Samskriti offers a unique curriculum that combines yogic practices, traditional arts, and academic subjects, aimed at fostering physical and mental balance in children. The program emphasizes holistic development, ensuring that students evolve into competent individuals equipped to positively influence their communities.

In conclusion, the Isha Foundation has faced persistent and unfounded attacks from Periyarist and Dravidianist groups, who have repeatedly defamed it with fabricated narratives and false allegations. Despite courts consistently debunking these claims as baseless, these efforts continue unabated. The biased portrayal by sympathetic media in Tamil Nadu, which often presents only half-truths, remains a troubling reality.

Interestingly, Karunya University, designated as a Christian minority institution, has not been subjected to similar levels of litigation and allegations by these groups. Environmentalists have pointed out that the institutions face similar issues regarding violations and lack of approvals. For instance, Karunya University, sprawling over 800 acres, is located in an elephant corridor that includes wetlands and numerous water sources of the River Noyyal.

EPS’ ADMK Goes The DMK Way Crying Foul About “Hindi Imposition”

EPS' ADMK Goes The DMK Way Crying Foul About "Hindi Imposition"

In a surprising turn of events, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) criticized the central government on 18 October 2024, for forcefully imposing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking states. This unexpected embrace of the Tamil language and a notable shift toward Dravidian ideology have shocked many, leading political commentators to question the rationale behind EPS’s sudden alignment with the core agenda of his Dravidian rival, the DMK.

Edappadi K Palaniswami, through his official X account, stated, “Paavendhar Bharathidasan sang, ‘Wherever you see, it’s Shakti.’ It is reprehensible that today’s central rulers, who reference him in everything, are chanting, ‘Wherever you see, it’s Hindi’ in the country.”

“The central government is celebrating Hindi Month across the country.  It has been announced that the closing ceremony set to take place this evening at a Chennai (DD) TV station, attended by the Governor of Tamil Nadu. It is unacceptable for the Central government to conduct such programs aimed at forcefully imposing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking states.” He added

Sudden Shift Towards Brotherhood

Edappadi K Palaniswami’s sudden indirect outreach to the DMK appeared to be a response to a secret meeting held before the party’s 53rd anniversary. According to reports, senior leaders are pushing the leadership for a ‘unified approach’ to confront the DMK in the upcoming 2026 elections, which would involve reconciling with prominent figures like former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, V K Sasikala, and T T V Dhinakaran which means the end of his leadership.

As the AIADMK approached its 53rd anniversary, apart from all the celebrations, there was a Cold War behind the scenes. Secret meetings among senior members revealed significant tensions within the party. These discussions, aimed at exploring a potential merger, often escalated into heated arguments, highlighting deep-seated resentment. Some factions appeared to exacerbate these tensions, further fueling internal discord.

Following the party’s disappointing performance in recent parliamentary elections, EPS convened meetings across constituencies, where many officials voiced concerns about grassroots issues. They noted a growing perception of division among party workers and the general public, emphasizing the urgent need for reform.

On 7 July 2024, six senior leaders—including K. A. Sengottaiyan, Natham R. Viswanathan, K. P. Anbalagan, C. V. Shanmugam, SP Velumani, and P. Thangamani—met with Palaniswami in Salem to strategize on uniting dissenting factions. While their discussions marked a significant development, Palaniswami firmly rejected the idea of a merger, indicating that attempts at reconciliation faced ongoing struggles within the party.

In early October, the AIADMK’s IT wing convened a meeting to enhance its efforts in exposing the DMK’s misgovernance and prepare for the upcoming elections. However, just before this meeting, a secret gathering took place at EPS’s residence, where senior leaders discussed the party’s future direction and internal matters. SP Velumani again raised the possibility of reconciling factions and sought EPS’s input.

Despite Velumani’s persuasive arguments regarding the challenges of the 2026 elections, EPS remained resistant, reportedly becoming upset and stating, “Are you trying to finish me and the party? As long as I am the general secretary, there is no way for a reunion.” Even attempts to clarify his stance did not ease the situation, as EPS left the discussion in anger. Reports indicated that while ten senior former MLAs supported the idea of a reunion, only four opposed it, leading to an ever-deepening rift within the party.

Critics accused EPS of being lenient toward the nepotism of the DMK, particularly following the appointment of Udhayanidhi Stalin as Deputy Chief Minister. This move contradicted the principles championed by J. Jayalalitha, who opposed such favoritism. Rumors circulated that EPS might even consider fielding his son in future elections.

Ultimately, many believed that EPS acted out of self-interest; when faced with difficulties, he sought help in Delhi but remained inactive in addressing the broader challenges facing the party. The AIADMK continued to struggle with ongoing losses, and grassroots cadres became increasingly demotivated, exacerbating the divisions within the party.

Previous Instance When EPS Went On Full DMK Mode

Shift in Terminology – Central to Union government

Edappadi K. Palaniswami employed the term “Ondriya Arasu,” originally coined by the DMK to refer to the Central government. This phrase carries implications that emphasize India as a union of states rather than a single, unified nation.

On 9 October 2023, the DMK passed a resolution urging the Central government to direct the Congress government in Karnataka to release Cauvery water in line with Supreme Court directives. The AIADMK supported this resolution, while the BJP walked out, arguing it was incomplete and did not mention Congress as the ruling party in Karnataka. Following the assembly session, EPS remarked that the DMK’s separate resolution concerning Cauvery water was aimed at the “ondriya arasu” (Union government). He stated, “They (DMK) brought about a separate resolution (for Cauvery water release) in the assembly; that was only to urge the ‘ondriya arasu.’

Previously, the AIADMK had criticized the DMK for using “Ondriya Arasu” to address the central government and had aligned itself with the BJP. However, this recent shift suggests a significant change in stance, particularly after the AIADMK severed ties with the BJP.

Calling for the Release of Coimbatore Blast Convicts

Under Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s leadership, the AIADMK has also made a notable commitment to minority rights. Following its split from the BJP, the AIADMK raised a motion in the assembly concerning the release of Muslim prisoners, including those convicted for the 1998 Coimbatore bombings.

On 10 October 2023, EPS highlighted the need for humanitarian grounds to release over 36 Muslim prisoners, including 16 convicts sentenced to life in the Coimbatore blasts case, citing their long sentences, age, and health.

The Coimbatore serial blasts in 1998 resulted in 58 fatalities and many injuries. Sixteen individuals, including members of the Al-Umma, received life sentences, with many having spent over 25 years in prison despite ongoing calls for their release. Various groups, including Islamic parties and DMK allies like the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), have been advocating for their release, and protests have been prevalent in Tamil Nadu since the DMK came to power in 2021.

This initiative aligns with earlier efforts by the DMK government to release long-serving prisoners, particularly those imprisoned for two decades or more. The AIADMK’s push for these releases appears aimed at garnering support from Muslim organizations and the broader minority community.

During the AIADMK Golden Jubilee Conference in Madurai, the party committed to addressing the primary demand of Tamil Nadu’s Muslim community: the release of inmates involved in the 1998 Coimbatore blasts who have been imprisoned for over 20 years.

Seeking Alliance with Minority Parties

At a gathering in Salem, Palaniswami encouraged Muslims to support the AIADMK in the upcoming general elections. A video of his speech gained traction on social media, where he noted, “Many people from the Muslim community have come here. I would like to point out that ADMK has acted just as you wished. Similarly, you have to ensure that our candidates win the elections. I learned today that many people from the Muslim community reside in this area. You must go to each Muslim’s house and assure them that ADMK will always work towards the safety of the minority community. As far as the ADMK is concerned, just like how the eyelids protect the eyes, ADMK will be the first to protect the minority communities.”

Now, following recent statements from former Chief Minister and party organizing secretary O. Panneerselvam, EPS has suddenly shifted into full gear, subtly aligning with DMK’s agenda and indicating a secret pact that calls for urgent support.

Calling Out US Hypocrisy In Hunting Terrorists Abroad While Sheltering American Terrorists In It Own Backyard

Calling Out US Hypocrisy In Hunting Terrorists Abroad While Sheltering American Terrorists In It Own Backyard

The hypocrisy of the United States is evident when it comes to its national interests. It often acts like a dictator, telling other sovereign nations what to do, yet when those nations pursue their own interests, the US suddenly champions democracy and freedom of speech and what not!

What’s even more concerning is that the US is currently harboring the terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), a US-based terrorist group advocating for a Sikh state called Khalistan in India. Ironically, the US has previously taken action against terrorists on foreign soil, even using Navy SEALs to eliminate threats. Now, it supports a terrorist as its citizen while accusing India of plotting murder against him.

Despite Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist, openly threatening India on multiple occasions, the United States still refers to him as a “victim and activist.” He has made alarming threats in videos, including calls to blow up Air India aircraft and demands for Hindus to leave the US and Canada. Nevertheless, he remains unpunished in both countries, enjoying protection as a dual citizen of the US and Canada. In contrast, the US Justice Department has announced criminal charges against Vikash Yadav, a former Indian government employee, accusing him of attempting to orchestrate a failed plot to kill Pannun. This double standard is deeply troubling.

Here’s the list of instances where the U.S. has eliminated terrorists on foreign soil

  • Anwar al-Awlaki (2011): The U.S. conducted a drone strike in Yemen that killed the American-born al-Qaeda cleric. He was the first American to be hunted and killed without trial by his own government since the Civil War.
  • Osama bin Laden (2011): The U.S. conducted a raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, leading to the death of the al-Qaeda leader.
  • Abu Muhammad al-Adnani (2016): The spokesperson for ISIS was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Aleppo, Syria.
  • Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (2019): The leader of ISIS was killed during a U.S. special operations raid in Idlib, Syria.
  • Jamal al-Badawi (2019): The U.S. killed the key suspect in the USS Cole bombing in a drone strike in Yemen.
  • Qassem Soleimani (2020): The Iranian general was killed in a U.S. drone strike near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.
  • Ayman al-Zawahiri (2022): The al-Qaeda leader was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Who is Gurpatwant Singh Pannun?

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a main figure in the Khalistan movement, which seeks to establish a separate state based on religious identity, carved out from Punjab and surrounding regions in India, to be called Khalistan. He serves as the legal advisor and spokesperson for Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), a US-based terrorist group advocating for this separate Sikh state.

In July 2020, the Ministry of Home Affairs of India designated Pannun as a terrorist due to charges of sedition and secessionism, and has sought an Interpol red notice for his arrest.

Pannun’s Threats To India

  • In September 2024, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of the banned group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), made threats to Hindus in Canada, urging them to return to India. In a video, he declared, “Indo-Canadian Hindus, you have abandoned your allegiance to Canada and its Constitution. Your place is in India. Leave Canada and go home.”
  • In October 2023, Pannun released a video threatening a “Hamas-like” attack on India. He warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “learn from the Israel-Palestine conflict,” suggesting that a similar response could occur in India. He stated, “We will carry out a Hamas-like attack on India,” adding that if India continues to “occupy” Punjab, there would be consequences, and “India and PM Modi will be responsible for it.”
  • On 4 November 2023, Pannun urged Sikhs to avoid flying on Air India flights after 19 November, citing potential threats to their safety. He ominously claimed that the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) would be closed on that date.
  • In January 2024, he issued a direct challenge to PM Modi, daring him to attend the Republic Day parade without security. “I dare Modi to come to Delhi on R-Day without protection. If you are a popular leader, show up unguarded, and SFJ will avenge the assassination of Shaheed Nijjar by raising the Khalistan flag,” he threatened in a video.
  • Additionally, he threatened to disrupt the Indian stock markets on 12 March to harm “India’s economy.”
  • Following PM Modi’s visit to the US in September 2024, Pannun released a video message urging Indians to return with Modi. He stated, “Take your Indo-Americans back to India. Those who organized and funded the event are followers of Modi’s Hindutva ideology.”

Pannun has been on the radar of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) since 2019, when the agency registered its first case against him. Despite his numerous threats and ongoing investigations, both the US and Canada continue to provide him protection.

Notably, Pannun acknowledged that his group, SFJ, has been in contact with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office, sharing information against India in the aftermath of his aide Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing. He made these claims during an interview with CBC News, stating he provided Trudeau with details about what he called India’s spying network in Canada.
