Tamil Nadu Congress Leader EVKS Elangovan Demands BJP To Serve Beef To Him And His Partymen

Tamil Nadu Congress Leader EVKS Elangovan has demanded that the BJP serve beef to him and his party members in response to Annamalai’s comments on providing food for Congress.

This heated exchange started when PM Narendra Modi highlighted the mysterious disappearance of the keys to the Ratna Bhandar, the treasure house of the Puri Jagannath Temple, which have reportedly been missing for six years in Odisha’s campaign rally.

When keys of our own houses are not found, we pray to Lord Jagannath and seek his blessings to find the keys… But keys of the Ratna Bhandar have been missing for six years,” Modi remarked during his speech, questioning the transparency and governance of the BJD-led administration.

He further pressed the issue, stating, “All of Odisha wants to know about the findings of the inquiry committee report on the missing keys of the Ratna Bhandar, but the BJD has suppressed it. BJD’s silence is further deepening people’s doubt on the issue.

During another rally in Cuttack, PM Modi hinted at rumors concerning the key’s whereabouts, provocatively suggesting, “People say that the key of Shri Ratna Bhandar has gone to Tamil Nadu. Who sent it to Tamil Nadu?” This remark was seen as an indirect reference to V. K. Pandian, a close aide of Chief Minister Naik, who is originally from Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Congress Party leader Selvaperunthagai said, “If the Tamils are insulted or the Tamil language is insulted in the future, Bharatiya Janata Party has no chance to exist in Tamil Nadu. If Modi and Amit Shah do not apologize unconditionally to the people of Tamil Nadu within a week, the Congress party will besiege the BJP office in Tamil Nadu.

In a counter-response, Tamil Nadu BJP State President Annamalai retorted, “I learned that the Tamil Nadu State President of the Congress Party has announced that he is going to lay siege to the Tamil Nadu BJP head office. If our office announces the date of arrival in advance, it will be convenient to arrange food for the ten people coming. To all those who come, we can give a book on the betrayals of DMK and Congress to Tamils as a gift. We have decided to upload a video on social media on that day showing how DMK and Congress are enemies of Tamils. Therefore, I request the Tamil Nadu State President of the Congress Party to let our state head office know in advance only the upcoming date.

Responding to this, Congress leader E. V. K. S. Elangovan added another layer to the heated exchange, saying, “If we go there (TN BJP office) we need non-veg food. We like beef. So we need non-veg food and beef. We will give them 2 days of time.

Dhruv Rathee, A Hindu Phobic Rabid Propoganda Machine Of AAP And Congress

Dhruv Rathee’s propaganda during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has reached its peak, actively supporting and bolstering the Congress and AAP. This can essentially be described as Anti-BJP propaganda. His narratives, often propagated by sympathizers and left-leaning liberals, are unfounded. Despite these claims being debunked repeatedly, Rathee shamelessly persists in spreading them, showing no remorse and continuing to profit from these propaganda.

The current focus on Dhruv Rathee’s propaganda and alignment arises from his persistent pattern of selectively presenting information that suit his narrative, despite being debunked numerous times. Even in discussions regarding the AAP MP Swati Maliwal case, Rathee strategically omits crucial details. For instance, he fails to mention that Sanjay Singh admitted Bibhav’s misconduct towards Swati and assured that appropriate action would be taken. Furthermore, Rathee neglects to address the submission of blank CCTV footage from the CM’s house to the Delhi police, the documented injuries on Swati’s left leg and right cheek as per the AIIMS report, and Bibhav’s erasure of data from his phone before handing it over to authorities. Instead, he cherry-picks points aligning with AAP’s agenda and concludes with diversionary tactics. Thus, it’s imperative to call out Dhruv Rathee, who sympathizes with AAP, for his biased portrayal of events.

Below Are Some Of The False Claims, Propaganda, And Hypocrisy Of Dhruv Rathee

  • Statue of Unity Propaganda: On 1 November 2018, Dhruv Rathee released a video on his YouTube channel titled “Statue of Unity: The Harsh Reality | Analysis by Dhruv Rathee.” In this video, Rathee argued that there is little reason to believe that the Statue of Unity would attract more tourists than India’s top historical landmarks such as the Taj Mahal or Amber Fort. He asserted that the statue of Sardar Patel is primarily a symbol of political significance and does not enhance India’s cultural and historical heritage. From an economic standpoint, Rathee deemed the statue impractical. He noted that the Taj Mahal, India’s most visited tourist site, generates an annual revenue of ₹25 crore from 8 million visitors. Rathee predicted it would be overly optimistic to expect the Statue of Unity to draw even a tenth of that number. He claimed that even if the statue were to match the popularity of the Taj Mahal, it would take over 120 years to break even, not including ongoing maintenance costs, making profitability seem unattainable. He  never let his hope down prayed and begged in another video in 21 November 2019 titled, “Statue of Unity: First Year Performance“. But he got a slap on the face when in 2023 TOI reported, the Statue of Unity experienced its busiest year, with a record-breaking 5 million visitors. This influx generated over ₹400 crore in revenue by October 2023, marking the highest annual footfall for the site to date.
  • Unnao case Propoganda: On 11 May 2018, Rathee propagated in his social media that the CBI had confirmed rape charges against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. However, the CBI later slapped these claims, criticizing the dissemination of false and sensationalized stories. In an official statement, the CBI clarified, “In response to media queries related to a news item published today in a National Daily, it is stated that investigation in Unnao case is still continuing. CBI has not given any update/conclusion/views with respect to the case to any mediaperson. All such stories related to Unnao case published/broadcast in the media recently are purely speculative.

  • Dravidian Model propaganda of building hospitals: On 17 April, 2021, Rathee posted a message aimed at generating sympathy, criticizing the BJP for spending enormous sums on various projects: ₹3000 crore on the Statue of Unity, ₹20,000 crore on the Central Vista project, ₹300 crore on the Ram Mandir, and ₹700 crore on the BJP’s new party office. He argued that if this money had been spent on hospitals and healthcare facilities, countless lives could have been saved. However, it’s important to note that the funds for the Ram Mandir and the BJP’s new party office come from private sources, not public money. This time Rathee’s post was fact-checked and debunked by the UP government, which emphasized the need to read full news reports rather than just headlines.

  • Spreading fake news about collapse of Sattarghat Bridge in Bihar: In July 2021, Rathee, his peddler buddy Mohammed Zubair and the members of Congress claimed that a section of the Sattarghat Bridge over the Gandak River in Bihar’s Gopalganj district had collapsed due to heavy rains that caused increased water flow. They asserted that the bridge, which had been constructed at a cost of ₹263 crore and inaugurated by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar just 29 days earlier, had suffered significant damage. However, the peddlers lie didn’t stand long as the claim was quickly refuted by the Bihar government’s public relations department. They clarified that it was actually the approach road to a small, older 18-meter-long bridge, located about 2 kilometers from the Sattarghat Bridge, that had been washed away. They assured the public that the main 1.4 km long Sattarghat Bridge remained entirely intact and safe. Image
  • Dhruv Rathee’s COVID pandemic fear mongering opinions:In Dhruv Rathee’s analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic during 2019-20, he initially advised against panicking over the new COVID-19 virus, suggesting that the threat was limited to outside of India. Later he propagated that, “people living outside of China have nothing to worry about,” suggesting that India performs poor in hospital facilities. However, his perspective shifted significantly as the situation evolved.
  • Modi’s Model Village propaganda: In a bid to undermine Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhruv Rathee posted images purportedly showing a model village in a state of disrepair, with dilapidated toilets and garbage, mocking Modi’s Swachh Bharat initiative. However, an independent fact-checker later debunked Rathee’s claims, providing evidence that the same locations were actually well-maintained. This revelation suggested that the post was a deliberate attempt to tarnish the Prime Minister’s reputation and discredit the efforts of the public and local administration.
  • Ladakh Propoganda: Posting a video of General seceretary of Youth Congress of UT of Ladakh, Dhruv Rathee claimed him (Tundub Nubu) to be a local resident complaining about the lack of facilities in the area. However, this video was debunked as propaganda when Tundub Nubu Cheetha’s social media account surfaced, revealing the misleading nature of the claims made by Dhruv Rathee and the Congress regarding the situation in Ladakh.
  • Whatsapp university propaganda:  Another instance of false information, highlighting his investigative abilities, is when Rathee shared the claim, “Do you remember the news about Mumbai’s income tax department building was on fire & fire burnt all the file related to Nirav Modi?” The very next day, the tax department slapped them, debunking the claim by asserting,”News reports appearing in some sections of media alleging that records/documents relating to investigation of Nirav Modi/Mehul Choksi have been destroyed in the Scindia House fire in ITOffice,Mumbai are completely false & misdirected.

Hypocrite Dhruv Rathee

  • Siva Sena Vs Sachin Piot: Dhruv Rathee displays blatant hypocrisy, showing clear favoritism towards Congress and AAP allies. When it comes to political shifts, his stance varies significantly. He readily supports Shiv Sena, praising their actions despite their alliance break, yet he laments and curses Sachin Pilot when the latter leaves Congress to potentially join BJP. Rathee’s double standards are evident as he expressed, “only cowards and power hungry politcians join a party of opposite ideology.”
  • Did you know that Dhruv Rathee was previously staunchly opposed to the Congress party, even making videos exposing its various scandals? He outlined a series of these scandals, stating, “Have you heard of Congress corruption? In the history of independent India, such rampant corruption has never been witnessed. From the 2G scam to the 3G scam, from the Adarsh scam to the Satyam scam, from the Colgate scam to the CWG scam, from the solar scam to the cash-for-vote scam, the list seems endless. In this regard, the Congress party deserves zero.” However, despite his past criticisms, he is currently seen as supporting the party, working tirelessly for a party known for its corruption.
  • Even went as far as effortlessly spreading messages of Rahul Gandhi via his personal social media account, despite declaring himself to be a neutral influencer.

Image

  • Dhruv Rathee has been critical of YouTubers who promote betting apps, yet he has engaged in promoting cryptocurrency himself. He even featured a sponsored segment in one of his videos, claiming that PNP Cryptocurrency is the world’s first regulated crypto. This claim raises eyebrows, as even those with a basic understanding of cryptocurrency know that it operates in a decentralized manner and cannot be regulated by governments. This is an example of his IQ level.

Hindu Phobic Dhruv Rathee

  •  Hindu Phobic Comedy is Democratic Right: In a video supporting Munawar Faruqui and Kunal Kamra, Dhruv Rathee addresses the cancellation of their shows over allegations of Hinduphobic comedy. Rathee contends that the way these comedians are being treated contradicts the principles of democracy and law and order in India. He asserts that the controversy arises from jokes by Munawar and Kunal that have been misinterpreted and taken out of context, leading to claims that they were offensive to Hindu deities.
  • Equating Ramayana to Spider man: In another interview, Dhruv Rathee, who identifies as an atheist and does not support idol worship similar to the views of Islamists and followers of Abrahamic religions, expressed his skepticism about the historicity of the Ramayana and Mahabharata despite some claims of historical evidence. Rathee remarked, “When I was around 7-8 years old, I often heard stories about gods and questioned their validity. They didn’t seem real to me. I listened to many stories about the Ramayana and Mahabharata during my childhood, including tales of armies of monkeys. No one could provide a satisfactory explanation when I asked about it.”He continued, “Using critical thinking and logical reasoning, I concluded that these stories are not real; they simply don’t make sense.” Rathee also addressed claims that the Ramayana is historical due to the existence of a man-made bridge between India and Sri Lanka.People argue that the bridge’s existence proves the Ramayana’s historicity, but this is a shallow level of thinking,” Rathee compared this reasoning to the Spider-Man movies, noting, “Just because New York exists in reality and also appears in Spider-Man movies, it doesn’t mean Spider-Man is real.”
  •  BJP received Electoral bond money from ‘Beef’ exporting Company: Dhruv Rathee, on his X handle,  claimed, “Did you know? Electoral Bond data reveals that BJP received crores of money from India’s top beef exporting company.” However, his assertion was swiftly debunked by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. She clarified that the export of meat from oxen, calves, cows, and bulls is prohibited in India. This ban aligns with the country’s cultural and religious values, as the cow holds a sacred status for a large segment of the population. The government’s policy on this matter has been steadfast, making any contrary claims unfounded.

Kerala Congress Likens CPM To An International Terrorist Organization As Pinarayi Vijayan Honours ‘Comrades’ Who Died Making Crude Bombs

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) faces controversy surrounding the construction of a memorial dedicated to two of its members who died while manufacturing explosives in East Chettakandi, Kannur 9 years ago. Following the revelation of a poster announcing the memorial’s inauguration, both the Congress and the BJP have criticized the CPM, alleging that the incident highlights the party’s involvement in bomb-making as a political tactic.

The memorial, erected by the ruling party, commemorates Shaju and Subeesh, residents of Panoor Chettakandi, who lost their lives in a bomb explosion in the politically charged area of Panoor in 2015.

State Secretary M V Govindan is scheduled to inaugurate the memorial during a public event on 22 May 2024. The party’s local committee has planned a large-scale public rally and procession involving party members and leaders as part of the commemoration. Funding for the memorial was raised by the Chettakandi branch committee through donations from party members and supporters in the locality.

K Sudhakaran, the president of KPCC, remarked that the incident reveals the CPM’s stance on terrorism. “The party had distanced itself from the deceased when the blast occurred in 2015. But later, the party observed their death anniversary as martyr’s day. Now, a memorial has been set up for those involved in the criminal activity,” Sudhakaran stated.

What message is CPM sending to the people of Kerala by setting up a memorial to comrades who were killed while making bombs? CPM is doing the same things in Kerala that terrorist organisations are doing the world over. The fact that the memorial is going to be inaugurated by the CPM state secretary is proof of how much CPM condones terrorism,” He added.

In the meantime, V D Satheesan, the opposition leader, expressed his view that the CPM has transformed into a mafia-like entity, advocating for a culture of bombings and political assassinations. He criticized the construction of memorials for individuals involved in bomb-making, interpreting it as a direct affront to the peace-loving populace of the state.

V D Satheesan said, “CPM in Kerala has been acting as an international terrorist group. They will decide whom to kill and then decide a place and also arrange weapons. They will hire the goondas or criminals or party workers, and they will commit the crime. After committing the crime, the party will save the culprits and someone will be sent to jail and they will protect the family of the person who is jailed. This is the style of a terrorist group. They are encouraging & instructing their party workers to make bombs.

“System Is Heavily Biased Against Lower Caste; I Know Since My Granny, Dad & Manmohan Were PM”: Rahul Gandhi Shoots Himself In The Foot, PM Modi Fires Back

In a moment of self-realization, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated on 22 May 2024, that the system is significantly biased against the lower castes. He asserted his deep understanding of this bias due to his unique perspective, having been born into a family of prime ministers, with his grandmother and father holding the office, and later visiting the PM’s residence when Manmohan Singh was in office.

“In the prime minister’s house, when my grandmother and later father were PM and later Manmohan Singh, I used to go, so I know the system from inside. And I am saying the system is aligned against lower castes, in a major way at every level,” Rahul stated.

Rahul emphasized that his insider knowledge allows him to understand the system’s mechanics, including its biases, whom it favors, protects, and oppresses. “Since the time I was born on June 19, 1970, I have been sitting in the system since I was born. I understand the system from the inside. You cannot hide the system from me. How it works, whom it favors, how it favors, whom it protects, whom it attacks, I know everything because I come from inside the system,” Rahul added.
When my grandmother was the PM, my father was the PM, and when Manmohan Singh was the PM, I used to go to the PM’s house. So I know how the system works from the inside. I can tell you one thing, the system is aligned against the lower castes, severely and on every level.” Rahul further said.

In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jab at Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks about the system’s alignment against the lower castes. During an election rally in New Delhi’s Dwarka, PM Modi remarked, “Sometimes while speaking lies, the truth comes out of the Shehzada’s mouth.”

Today, Congress’ Shehzada has confessed a big truth. He has admitted that the system that was formed during his grandmother’s, his father’s, and his mother’s time, was severely against the Dalits, backwards and Adivasis,” PM Modi said. “This Congress-designed system has devastated generations of ST, SC, and OBCs. Today, the Shehzada himself has confessed to this,” he added.

In this context, Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai also mocked Congress scion Rahul Gandhi’s comments on bias against Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Annamalai wrote, “Rahul Gandhi admits there was a system against Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Adivasis during the rule of his grandmother, his father, and Manmohan Singh’s rule. Congress will never change – not then, not now, not ever!”

Mammootty A Jihadi Working Hand-In-Glove With CPI-M Claims Close Associate, Allegedly Coerced ‘Puzhu’ Filmmakers To Project Hindus In Bad Light

A significant controversy has erupted after CPI(M) member Mohammed Sharshad Baniyandy accused Malayalam superstar Mammootty of being a “Jihadi.”

In a recent interview, the Chennai-based businessman alleged that his estranged wife, Ratheena PT, and scriptwriter Harshad conspired to produce an anti-Hindu and anti-“upper-caste” film starring Mammootty. According to a report by the Pioneer, Ratheena was allegedly coerced by Mammootty into directing a film that portrays Hindus in a negative light using the caste angle.

The film at the center of this controversy is the 2022 Malayalam release “Puzhu,” in which Mammootty portrays an “upper-caste” IPS officer who harbors animosity towards his sister for marrying a Dalit man. Sharshad claimed, “Puzhu generated some controversy in Kerala, but the producer profited greatly. Ratheena was originally working on a different script but was directed by Mammootty to take on the Puzhu project. She had intended to create a light-hearted entertainer, but Mammootty’s influence changed the course of her project.

He further accused the film’s writer, Harshad, of being an “Islamic extremist.”

Sharshad also stated that Mammootty was supposed to work on another script by Ratheena, but the Puzhu project was hurriedly initiated instead. He expressed his concerns about his wife’s involvement in her first major film, claiming it misrepresented upper-caste characters. Sharshad suggested that his estranged wife was influenced by “external interventions” that planted the controversial idea. Reports indicate that Ratheena secured a restraining order against Sharshad in a domestic violence case.

Mammootty, who has been the chairman of the CPI(M)-backed news channel Kairali TV since 2000, is well-known for his close association with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. In 2007, Mammootty attended a conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and remarked that if DYFI-CPI(M)’s youth wing had been active in Gujarat, the 2002 riots would not have occurred. This comment led to backlash from both the BJP and Congress, with demonstrators tearing down his posters. Pinarayi Vijayan defended Mammootty, stating that the CPI(M) would “resist attempts to silence him.”

Following Sharshad’s allegations about Mammootty’s supposed links to Jihadi organizations, both CPI(M) and Congress leaders defended the actor. CPI(M) MLA KT Jaleel, a former minister and past president of the banned Islamist group SIMI, criticized the RSS-BJP for the “Jihadi” accusations against Mammootty. Additionally, Kerala ministers V Sivankutty and K Rajan, along with Congress leader KC Venugopal, voiced their support for the actor amid the social media uproar. CPI(M) leaders hailed Mammootty as a pride of Kerala and accused “Sangh Parivar politics” of being behind the online attacks on the actor.

Accident Cases That Shows How The Justice System Is Tilted In Favour Of The Rich And Powerful

“Justice delayed is justice denied” is a legal maxim implying that if legal redress or equitable relief is not provided promptly, it is tantamount to having no remedy at all. This pattern is evident in major cases within the Indian judiciary, particularly when the suspect or accused is affluent or has political connections. Recently, we have observed two such instances, one involving AAP politician Arvind Kejriwal, who was granted bail to participate in an election campaign, and another in the hit-and-run case involving Vedant Agarwal, the son of Vishal Agarwal of Brahma Realty, a real estate businessman.

Agarwal’s son, 17, was involved in the fatal car accident in Pune in the early hours of 19 May 2024. The teenager had been drinking at one bar before moving to another on the night of the crash. The victims, Aneesh Awadhiya and his friend Ashwini Koshta, both techies, were killed when their motorbike was struck by the Porsche. Ashwini died at the scene, while Aneesh was taken to a city hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Shockingly, the 17-year-old was granted bail by a district court just 14 hours after being detained, sparking widespread outrage. The juvenile justice court imposed conditions for his release, requiring him to write a 300-word essay on “The Effects of Road Accidents and Their Solutions,” assure his parents that he would not re-offend, and undergo counseling were made mockery in social media, Who was according to the FIR, with his friends partied at Cozy Bar from 9:30 PM to midnight, and then at Black Bar from midnight to 1 AM on Sunday, prior to the fatal crash.

Similar to the Agarwal case, the high-profile hit-and-run incident involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan comes to mind.

Salman Khan Hit & Run Case

On 28 September 2002, Salman Khan was arrested for running over five homeless people on the streets of Mumbai, resulting in one death and four injuries. In October 2002, he was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. However, in the same month, the Bombay High Court dropped the culpable homicide charges and instead charged him with rash and negligent driving.

It wasn’t until May 2015 that the Bombay Sessions Court convicted Salman Khan, sentencing him to five years in prison for driving under the influence of alcohol. By December 2015, however, the Bombay High Court granted him bail and acquitted him of all charges due to lack of evidence. Six months later, the Maharashtra government appealed to the Supreme Court, and the case remains pending.

In 2016, Supreme Court has dismissed the request to treat this case as an urgent matter. As a result, the case against Khan is unlikely to be heard for at least four years, unless the SC prioritizes it. The top court rejected the state government’s plea to hear the case within six months.

“This is an accident case. We cannot expedite it just because a particular individual is involved,” Justice Khehar told Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, who submitted the request on behalf of Maharashtra. “This case dates back to 2002. By the time the appeal is heard, many years will have passed. We request that it be listed after six months,” the attorney general said, referencing the extended time the SC typically takes to hear admitted appeals.

The judicial process in this hit-and-run case has been lengthy: it took 11 years to frame charges, 2 years to find him guilty, 7 months to acquit him, and now, 8 years later, the appeal against his acquittal has yet to be heard.

Similar Cases Involving Affluent Individuals Granted Bail in Pending and Unresolved Hit-and-Run Incidents

  • Sujata Shroff, a builder from Pune, crashed into a median in 2017, resulting in the death of a 3-year-old girl and her mother, and severely injuring three others. She was granted bail within hours, and the plea to cancel her bail was rejected. Since 2017, there has been no update on the case.
  • Mukund Abhyankar, the head of Cosmos Bank, was involved in a rash driving incident that killed Arundhati Hasabnis in Pune in 2016. He was convicted seven years later and received a sentence of six months of simple imprisonment and a fine of 1,000 rupees.
  • Ritika Maloo from Nagpur was allowed to abscond for over eight days by the police, who also delayed her blood testing by seven hours. Despite this, the court granted her bail.
  • Asees Chadha killed five people while driving his Bentley in Lutyens’ Delhi on February 18, 2019. Initially denied bail by Patiala House on February 20, he was granted bail by the Delhi High Court on February 21. As of May 2024, there has been no progress in the case, five years later.

According to the police, Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, was applied. This section is a non-bailable offense with a harsher punishment compared to Section 304A, which addresses causing death by negligence. This more severe charge was applied in most of the significant cases mentioned, but the outcome has more or less tilted towards those who have money and power.

Will the Pune Porsche crash case face the same judicial outcome like the rest? Only time will tell.

DMK IT Wing Functionary Wishes For PM Modi’s Death Similar To Iranian President, Deletes Post And Apologizes Fearing Legal Action, Deletes That Post As Well

A senior member of the DMK IT Wing, Kasi Kuppusamy, has found himself at the center of a storm after a controversial social media post suggesting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should meet the same fate as the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The post, which was quickly deleted, sparked widespread condemnation from the public and BJP supporters.

Kasi Kuppusamy, who serves as the Deputy Secretary of the DMK’s Coimbatore East IT Wing, made the comment in response to a post by Selva Kumar, Vice-President of the Tamil Nadu BJP Industrial Cell, regarding the tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. Raisi, along with several top officials, died in a helicopter crash at the Iran-Azerbaijan border on May 20th. Prime Minister Modi expressed his condolences, and the Indian government observed a state mourning on May 21st.

Kasi Kuppusamy’s remark, “wish the Indian Prime Minister face same fate like as what has happened to Iranian President,” quickly went viral, leading to an outpouring of anger.

BJP supporters and the general public demanded severe action against Kasi Kuppusamy for his comment. His comment led to BJP supporters call for legal action similar to a recent incident involving a social media post against the Congress government in Karnataka.

The backlash prompted DMK supporter Dravida Podhuudamai to advise Kasi Kuppusamy to delete the post, “Modi is only our ideological enemy but not our genealogical enemy. Please delete it” posted Dravida Podhuudamai emphasizing that ideological opposition does not justify such remarks.

Following this advice, Kasi Kuppusamy deleted the post and issued an apology, stating, “I express my repentance if the post on Prime Minister hurt anyone’s feelings. I only motioned about the post of Prime Minister, not the individual.”

But he has now deleted this post.

It wasn’t just Kasi Kuppusamy; several DMK and I.N.D.I.A. alliance supporters also expressed similar sentiments towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi in their replies to BJP functionary Selva Kumar’s post.

For instance, DMK supporter Malik Murali Krishnan Ninniyapan remarked, “Similar thing is not happening here. A dog (Prime Minister Modi) is traveling on different flights daily.”

Another supporter, Usilampatti Ra Ko, posted, “If this is the fate of good people (Iranian President), then imagine the fate of our Ji (Prime Minister Modi). Only Allah can save him.”

Additionally, Saravanan, a DMK supporter, commented, “Good people are getting killed, but there is one fellow (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) who is traveling around in private planes and helicopters. Nothing is happening to that fellow.”

Although Kasi Kuppusamy deleted his post and apologized, BJP supporters demanded strict action against him for his remarks about the Prime Minister. They argued that the DMK government would not act against Kasi Kuppusamy, urging Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, or Gujarat police to step in and arrest him, similar to how Karnataka police arrested Bhiku Mhatre for his social media post against the Congress government.

BJP supporters claimed that while DMK authorities aggressively target BJP supporters for their social media posts criticizing the DMK, the Chief Minister, his family, and minorities, they show little interest in taking action against their own members with the same fervor. They believe DMK only acts on complaints from its IT wing functionaries and not against them, reflecting a biased approach.

BJP State President Annamalai Calls For Immediate Implementation Of Free Bus Travel Policy For Policemen As Announced By DMK In 2021-22

The BJP state president K Annamalai expressed surprise that Chief Minister Stalin’s announcement about free bus travel for policemen within their working district has not been relayed to the transport corporations, even after three years.

The incident involved a policeman who boarded a government bus heading to Thoothukudi via Tirunelveli at the Nanguneri court. When the conductor asked the constable for a ticket, the policeman argued that, as a government employee, he was entitled to free travel, a sentiment echoed by other government employees on board.

The conductor insisted that policemen need a warrant to travel for free; otherwise, they must buy a ticket. The policeman refused and an argument ensued, with the exchange being captured on video and spreading widely on social media.

In response, the transport department issued a statement clarifying that policemen cannot travel on government buses without paying unless they have a warrant. They reiterated that policemen must purchase tickets if they don’t have a warrant and recommended departmental action against the Nanguneri policeman involved.

https://twitter.com/arasubus/status/1793182918908793191

Condemning the transport department’s action, Annamalai criticized the lack of communication regarding the free travel policy, noting that it has been three years since the Chief Minister’s announcement.

In this regard,  Annamalai in his official X handle stated that, In the grant request for the year 2021-2022, when Chief Minister Stalin himself has announced free travel in buses within the working district, how is it justified to harass policeman Arumuga pandi like this?”

“It is surprising that even after three years the notification of the Chief Minister’s demand for grants has not been communicated to the transport corporations. I would like to advise to inform all the District Transport Corporations immediately about this announcement and immediately implement the announcement of free bus travel for policemen in the working districts across Tamil Nadu, and I insist that no action including departmental action should be taken against Policeman Arumugapandi.”

“I Do Not Accept the Order”: TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee Rejects Calcutta High Court’s Annulment Of OBC Certificates Given To 37 Communities During Her Period

Responding to a public interest litigation petition, the Calcutta High Court on 22 May 2024 delivered a significant setback to West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) government by annulling around 500,000 Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates issued under a 2012 Act.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly opposed the ruling, declaring that OBC reservations would persist in the state. Banerjee speaking at election rally at Dumdum Lok Sabha constituency stated, “They got an order passed today but I don’t accept it. When 26,000 people lost their jobs because of the BJP, I had said that I would not accept it. Similarly, I am saying today, I do not accept the order. We won’t accept the BJP’s order. OBC reservation will continue. Imagine their audacity. This is a kalankit chapter in the country”

The PM has been talking about how minorities will snatch away Tapashili reservation. How can this ever happen? It would lead to constitutional breakdown. Minorities can never touch the Tapashili or Adivasi reservation. But these mischievous people get their work done through agencies,” she said.

This was passed by the Assembly, and there is a court verdict on the same. They are playing games ahead of elections with these things… Can the PM ever say that minorities will seize Tapashili reservation? He cannot. This is a constitutional guarantee. They are doing this just for votes.”, she further added.

Criticizing High Court judges, the TMC Supremo remarked, “One judge claims to be an RSS member, while another has joined the BJP… How can such individuals serve as judges and oversee court proceedings?

Additionally, senior party leader and Ms. Banerjee’s nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, accused the court’s ruling of being part of the BJP’s agenda to revoke reservations for the Tapashili community.

A division bench comprising Justices Tapabrata Chakraborty and Rajasekhar Mantha clarified that their order would not impact individuals who are currently employed, have successfully passed any state government selection processes, or have used the OBC certificates for reservation purposes.

The court invalidated the OBC certificates issued under the West Bengal Backward Classes (Other than Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) Act, declaring them illegal. The bench emphasized that the opinions and advice of the Backward Classes Commission are generally binding on the state legislature as per the National Commission for Backward Classes Act 1993. They instructed the state’s Backward Classes Welfare Department to consult with the commission and submit a report to the legislature, recommending the addition of new classes or the removal of existing classes from the state OBC list.

In 2023, the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), a constitutional body, identified irregularities in the execution of reservation policies across four states during field surveys conducted from February to May. In West Bengal, the commission discovered that Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants had been issued OBC certificates. Additionally, in February, the NCBC noted that out of the 179 castes listed as OBCs in the state, 118 were from the Muslim community.

Netizens shared an unverified list of names that were reportedly recognized by the West Bengal government as OBCs, with the majority of the names being Muslim.

Interim Bail Granted To BJP Supporting X User MumbaichaDon

Social media activist Vinit Naik, known by the moniker Bhiku Mhatre (@MumbaichaDon), has been granted interim bail after his controversial arrest by the Karnataka police. Naik’s detention sparked widespread outrage, with many accusing the Congress-led Karnataka government of attempting to suppress free speech.

The Karnataka government has faced criticism for detaining Bhiku Mhatre for allegedly commenting on the Congress manifesto. His arrest took place in Goa based on complaint lodged by J Saravanan from Srirampura led to an FIR against Bhiku Mhatrefor his tweet in the social media. The complaint alleged that the user’s post aimed to stoke communal tensions by fostering animosity between Hindus and Muslims.

Based on the complaint Bhiku Mhatre was apprehended in the South Goan city of Ponda and charged under the IT Act and section 153A of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to promoting disharmony between different religious or racial groups. Prior to his arrest, he shared a screenshot of a legal notice from X’s legal team informing him of a court order from the Bengaluru City Magistrate regarding his account. He denied making any inflammatory or communal remarks, instead accusing the Congress of attempting to silence him for speaking the truth.

In this regard, the Honourable 45th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court of Bengaluru City has granted interim bail to Bhiku Mhatre in relation to Crime Number 017/2024, registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Bengaluru City on 21 May 2024.

It is to be noted, Bhiku Mhatre was arrested on 19 May 2024, just a day before the Lok Sabha elections. This arrest has been criticized as a vindictive move by the Congress Party, suggesting a pattern of suppressing dissent. Historical parallels have been drawn, notably to 1975 when then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency, silencing media and dissenting voices, highlighting a recurrent theme in the party’s approach to handling opposition.
