“Truck Mows Down”: The Hindu Secularizes New Orleans ISIS Terror Attack Much Like Coimbatore “Cylinder Blast”

The Hindu Secularizes New Orleans ISIS Terror Attack Much Like Coimbatore "Cylinder Blast

In its report on the New Orleans terror attack, where a pickup truck driven by ISIS-linked Shamsud-Din Jabbar killed 14 and injured 35, The Hindu framed the incident as a vehicular mishap with the headline: “Truck mows down 10 New Year revellers in New Orleans”. This framing, which omitted the attacker’s ideological motive and terror links, has been widely criticized for downplaying the incident’s true nature.

By focusing on the vehicle rather than the deliberate act of terrorism, The Hindu mirrored its earlier coverage of events like the 2022 Coimbatore terror attack, which it labelled a “car blast,” ignoring the broader terror implications. Such editorial choices, critics argue, obscure accountability, trivialize victims’ suffering and foster a dangerous narrative of denial around ideologically driven violence.

New Orleans Attack on New Year’s

In the early hours of 1 January 2025, a tragic attack unfolded on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during New Year’s celebrations. A pickup truck, driven at high speed, rammed into a crowded area in the French Quarter, killing at least 14 people and injuring over 35 others. The attacker, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar from Texas, was fatally shot by police after a gunfight that left two officers injured.

Authorities revealed Jabbar had served in the U.S. Army and allegedly pledged allegiance to ISIS in a series of videos recorded prior to the incident. An ISIS flag and potential homemade explosives were discovered in his vehicle, prompting the FBI to investigate the attack as an act of terrorism.

https://twitter.com/dejant71172981/status/1874426244743549178

The vehicle, rented through Turo, was a white Ford F-150 electric pickup. Witnesses described the deliberate nature of the attack, with the truck crashing through barricades at high speed. Despite heavy police presence in the area, the attacker managed to cause significant damage before being neutralized.

The attack disrupted preparations for the Sugar Bowl, a major college football game, which was postponed as a security precaution.

This incident has drawn comparisons to similar attacks, including a recent attack at a Christmas market in Germany.

How The Hindu Reported The Terror Attack

Similar to other reports in the news media about such lone-wolf terror attacks in the past by leftist news media such as the below, The Hindu, not wanting to be left behind, also carried similar headlines to the same news story.

This is how The Hindu reported the New Orleans terror attack. The print headline read, Truck mows down 10 New Year revellers in New Orleans“. The online version of the article has the headline Truck mows down 15 New Year revellers in New Orleans; suspect is U.S.-born army veteran” – could have been changed after backlash.

Back in 2017, a terror attack occurred at the UK Parliament, the then-leftist NDTV also reported it similarly – denying the terror, denying the attack, as if the car drove itself and people died because they came in the way.

The Hindu’s headline and way of reporting reminds us of how the 2022 Coimbatore terror attack by Jameesha Mubin was downplayed by the DMK government and the Tamil news media as acylinder blast“. In fact, The Hindu had also reported it as acar blastand did not acknowledge properly that it was a terror attack.

The consistent whitewashing of crimes by The Hindu is not limited to these terror attacks. The publication has also been noticed secularizing news reports regarding sexual crime perpetrators, especially if they are from a particular community.

MHA Permanently Cancels FCRA License Of Mohan Lazarus’ NGO Jesus Redeems Over Multiple Violations

In a significant move, the Ministry of Home Affairs has reportedly been permanently cancelled the FCRA registration of the Christian NGO Jesus Redeems, based in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, following a series of complaints lodged by the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF). The FCRA licence of Jesus Redeems was suspended in March 2024 and it came after the Ministry was alerted to multiple serious allegations regarding the organization’s operations.

The complaints, filed by LRPF, raised concerns over potential violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), specifically accusing Jesus Redeems of unlawfully accepting foreign donations without adhering to the legal framework. The group also pointed to concerns about possible foreign influence and the legality of the activities led by the NGO’s chief functionary, the controversial evangelist Mr. Mohan C. Lazarus.

In light of these allegations, LRPF urged the Ministry to take swift action by suspending the FCRA registration and launching an in-depth investigation into the NGO’s operations. After an extensive review, the Ministry decided to suspend the registration of Jesus Redeems (FC: 076160018) in March 2024, effectively halting its ability to receive foreign contributions.

Despite the suspension, further complaints continued to surface, prompting the Ministry to take more stringent action. In January 2025, the Government of India permanently revoked the FCRA license of Jesus Redeems, ending its ability to operate under the FCRA provisions, with particular attention drawn to the leadership of Mr. Mohan C. Lazarus, who has been a rabid anti-Hindu supporting the Dravidianist regime in Tamil views.

Background

Mohan C Lazarus run a Christian organization named Jesus Redeems through which he does religious proselytization activities. He is known for his notoriety in disturbing communal harmony by making anti-Hindu statements.

Multiple FIRs were registered against him at different police stations of Tamil Nadu state under Sections 153, 153-A(1)(a) & (b), 295-A, 505(1)(b) and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code for making statements against Hindu Temples and Hindu Gods during a mass religious gathering. Details of the cases are provided in the below table:

It is noteworthy that in another case, the Regional Passport officer refused to issue a new passport to Mr Mohan Lazarus alias Mohan C. Lazarus because he intentionally suppressed information that he had 4 criminal cases pending against him while submitting the passport application.

In February 2021, the Madras High Court came down heavy and issued a warning to the rabid evangelist pastor for making reckless statements against Hindus and Hindu religion.

However, Lazarus got relief from the High Court through case number W.P.(MD)No.15829 of 2020, asserting his ‘Right to Travel’ as a fundamental right guaranteed under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution.

The LRPF has pointed out that Mohan C Lazarus and his organization Jesus Redeems attract provisions of the FCRA, 2010 which amounts to suspension/cancellation of the FCRA registration as he has a history of disturbing communal harmony by making provocative speeches and indulging in proselytization activities.

FCRA Violations

‘Jesus Redeems’ is a registered Christian religious organisation operating under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, and holds FCRA registration number 076160018. The founder and signatory authority, Mohan Lazarus alias Mohan C. Lazarus, is also the Chief Executive Officer of a US registered Public Charity organization named ‘Jesus Redeems Ministries Inc.’

One of the key allegations revolves around the recent amendments to the FCRA rules, which explicitly state that the Chief Functionary of the recipient Indian organization should not be a part of the donor organization. ‘Jesus Redeems’ allegedly received significant foreign contributions from ‘Jesus Redeems Ministries Inc., (US),’ a major foreign donor.

Foreign Funds From Christian NGO Compassion International

It has been discovered that foreign donations from Compassion International (USA) to Caruna Bal Vikas, an NGO based in Chennai, were funneled to ‘Jesus Redeems.’ Records indicate that Jesus Redeems received ₹1,67,68,189, more than 1.5 Crore, from Caruna Bal Vikas between 2009 and 2015 under the guise of ‘Welfare of Children.’ From 2014 onward, Compassion International started donating directly to the FCRA-designated bank account of Jesus Redeems, totaling ₹1,13,04,681. This clearly indicates that Jesus Redeems is the primary affiliate of Compassion International (US) and Caruna Bal Vikas. The chronological receipt of foreign contributions from Caruna Bal Vikas and Compassion International (US) is detailed in the attached Annexure-7.

In 2017, the Indian government prohibited Compassion International (US) from donating to Indian NGOs due to various controversies involving child conversion and fundraising through child sponsorship schemes globally and in India. Following a complaint by the Director, FCRA Wing, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the Economic Offenses Wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation, Delhi Zone, registered an FIR (RC2202020E003 dated 20-02-2020) against Chennai-based organizations Caruna Bal Vikas and M/s Adhane Management Consultants Pvt Ltd. The complaint highlighted Caruna Bal Vikas’s stated objective of ‘converting poor children into fulfilled Christian adults,’ engaging in religious activities, including conversions to Christianity, which have the potential to disrupt communal harmony, and therefore, violate FCRA, 2010. The complaint also asserted that Compassion International India funded Caruna Bal Vikas and M/s Adhane Management Consultants Pvt Ltd for conversion activities.

The Chinese Link

The complaint further notes a foreign contribution of ₹6,21,274 from BRO Devakumar VG Edwin, identified as the Managing Director of DANGOTE Group, Nigeria, in 2016. DANGOTE Group, a mining conglomerate in Nigeria, has close ties with Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd, a Chinese state-owned company, raising concerns about potential foreign influence.

This connection with China raises concerns more so because of the recent instances of arrest of Prabir Purkayastha, Founder of the NewsClick website, and Amit Chakravorty, its Head of Human Resources, on charges of conspiracy to disrupt India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The arrests were prompted by an investigative report in The New York Times, which alleged that NewsClick had received funding from a network involved in disseminating Chinese propaganda. The arrests highlight concerns about foreign contributions and their potential impact on national security, aligning with the broader context of efforts to curb external influence in India.

Publication Activities

Jesus Redeems is also accused of publishing monthly magazines in various languages without providing the necessary details and declarations required by the FCRA Act. The FCRA Act, 2010 mandates that NGOs engaged in publishing activities must provide details and declarations under the Press Registration of Books Act, 1867. Additionally, they need a certificate from the Registrar of Newspapers of India confirming that their publication doesn’t fall under the category of newspapers. The complaint filed requests the verification of compliance of Mr. Mohan C. Lazarus regarding these requirements, particularly in relation to the official magazine of ‘Jesus Redeems,’ by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Furthermore, the magazine suggests that ‘Jesus Redeems’ operates in multiple countries, including the United States, Australia, Dubai, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, and Sri Lanka. The organisation is reportedly hosting Christian religious events abroad, inviting pastors from various countries, including China. With all the information put together, it looks like Mr. Mohan Lazarus is the editor-in-chief, owner, and publisher of these magazines.

The complaint by LRPF also noted from the copy of the FCRA return filed by Jesus Redeems that it had received an amount of ₹3,71,154 from an individual named Mr. Shirly Rohan whose residential address in Bangalore. It requests for the basis of receiving donations into the FCRA account from Indian residents.

Political Influence Shields Harassment Accused, Claims Chennai Mother Whose Minor Child Allegedly Harassed Again After Accused’s Release

Political Influence Shields Harassment Accused, Claims Chennai Mother Whose Minor Child Allegedly Harassed Again After Accused's Release

Similar to the allegations against the Anna Nagar police for disregarding a sexual harassment case involving a minor, a mother in Chennai has accused the Valasaravakkam All Women Police Station of failing to take decisive action. She alleges that the son of a local influential figure has been sexually harassing her minor daughter (14/16 years of age).

Despite the accused being arrested under the POCSO Act, he was released on bail. The mother claims that the accused has since threatened the minor and sexually harassed her again during New Year celebrations. Tearfully, the mother has pleaded for justice and support, urging authorities to act firmly to protect her daughter.

A young woman’s mother from Valasaravakkam, Chennai, has accused 27-year-old Prashanth, son of local figure Pandal Ravi, of repeated sexual harassment. Despite her mother lodging complaints at various places, including the All Women’s Police Station, Valasaravakkam and the Police Commissioner’s Office, no significant action has been taken. Frustrated by the inaction, the mother pursued legal recourse and filed an FIR, yet the case remains stalled without investigation.

Reports suggest that when the victim attempts to file complaints, the police appear to favor Prashanth. Allegations have surfaced that his political connections enable him to exert influence over law enforcement, with calls from his supporters allegedly pressuring officers to ignore the case.

This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as Prashanth is accused of harassing other victims in the past, drawing comparisons to the notorious Anna Nagar sexual harassment case of minor. The situation has escalated further, with Prashanth allegedly threatening to harm the victim and her family. The family is now pleading with authorities to intervene and ensure swift and just action.

Speaking to the press, the minor girl’s mother said, “On 14th April, we filed a complaint at the All Women’s Police Station regarding my daughter being sexually harassed. We went to court, and through that, an FIR was registered against the son of ‘Pandhal’ Ravi. Despite the FIR, he was released. Just yesterday, on New Year’s Day, he came to my daughter, used inappropriate language, and sexually harassed my daughter again. The police have still not taken any strong action. We don’t understand why they are acting so indifferently. I have come to you, hoping that you will ensure justice for my child.”

The press report further pressed her for more details, and she explained that, due to the police’s indifference and lack of action on her complaint, she took the matter to court. Despite the accused’s inappropriate behavior being well-known in the locality, which could easily be verified, the police station continued to provide him with a clean conduct record and support, while neglecting the victim. She also alleged that her petition was not being accepted. After the local police station and the Commissioner’s office failed to take her petition, they were forced to approach the court, which led to the FIR being filed. However, the accused was released just one day later.

When the press asked, “Why was he released?” the victim’s mother responded, “We don’t know, sir. Whenever we go there, they don’t respond to us. We can go, sit there, and leave without any answers,” she lamented about her situation.

Then, speaking about the threats made by ‘Pandhal’ Ravi’s son, Prashanth, the victim’s mother said, “He told my daughter, ‘I have already assaulted you, and asked you again. Wherever you complain, I will come out. I have that kind of influence. If you go any further with this, I’ll lit you and your mother.’ These are the threats he’s been making, and we are afraid to live there”

16 Key Cases Of Taliban Crackdown On Women Rights And Education In 2024

16 Key Cases Of Taliban Crackdown On Women Rights And Education In 2024

On 30 December 2024, the Taliban imposed a sweeping ban prohibiting all national and foreign NGOs from employing women in Afghanistan, warning that noncompliance could result in the revocation of operating licenses. This report highlights ten compelling cases from 2024 that illustrate the Taliban’s ongoing crackdown on women employees, particularly in the healthcare and education sectors. These cases underscore a troubling pattern of erasing women’s rights and dismantling opportunities for their professional growth.

#1 Taliban Bans NGOs From Employing Women In Afghanistan

In February 2024, the Taliban threatened to ban women media workers in Kabul who do not comply with a strictmodest dress code, which includes wearing face veils that cover most of the face, leaving only the eyes visible. In February 2024, in Kandahar, the Taliban imposed a directive preventing girls aged 10 and older from attending classes below the sixth grade. School principals were instructed to enforce this policy, which is part of the broader restrictions on girls’ education since the Taliban’s return to power. In addition to the school closures beyond the sixth grade, students in grades four to six are required to wear face coverings while commuting. This policy, which followed previous education bans for taller girls in various provinces, further limited educational opportunities for young girls in Afghanistan.

In March 2024, in Kabul, the Taliban closed several schools and an art workshop due to the enrollment of girls above the sixth grade. TheFiqran Bartarart workshop and three other educational centers in the Chahar Qala area were sealed by the Taliban’s Prohibition of Evil agents. Indian Express Publishes 6-Month-Old Union FM Interview As New Budget Comment, Later Issues ‘Correction’ Instead Of Apology Buried Among Other News Stories

Indian Express Publishes 6-Month-Old Union FM Interview As New Budget Comment, Later Issues 'Correction' Instead Of Apology Buried Among Other News Stories

The “Indian Express” ran an old interview with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in which she discussed the limitations of providing relief to the middle class through tax changes. However, the Indian Express misrepresented Sitharaman’s old interview with Times Now as a recent statement to spread propaganda against the Finance Minister ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26.

On 31 December 2024, The Indian Express published a story titled “FM cites limitations over expectations of tax break,” claiming that Finance Minister Sitharaman had said, “she wishes to ‘do more’ for the middle class, but highlighted that there are ‘limitations’ in providing relief through tax tweaks.” The article went on to explain that this statement was made ahead of the 2025-26 Union Budget, with expectations for significant tax concessions due to the slowdown in consumption demand.

The report also included a quote from Sitharaman’s interview with Times Now, where she had said, “I respect the issue of giving relief to the middle class. I wish to do more, but there are limitations in taxation. To make a difference for salaried people, the standard deduction was increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 (in the last Budget).”

While Sitharaman indeed made this statement, it was in a July 2024 interview, not during any recent interaction. The Indian Express article was published on the 13th page of its newspaper. However, on 1 January 2025, the publication retracted its misleading story and issued a “correction” rather than an apology. This correction, though, was buried in the smallest corner of the second page of the newspaper, seemingly to avoid full accountability.

The correction read, “The report FM cites limitations over expectations of tax break, which appeared on 31 December 2024, was based on a TV interview of the Finance Minister conducted in July 2024. The error is regretted.”

“Where Are The Actors Now? Why Are They Silent?” PMK Leader Slams Kollywood Actors For Keeping Their Mouths Shut On Anna University Sexual Assault Case Involving DMK Man

PMK Leader Slams Kollywood Actors For Keeping Their Mouths Shut On Anna University Sexual Assault Case.

As Chennai erupts in protests over the Anna University sexual assault case, PMK has also called out Kollywood celebrities being conspicuously silent on the issue. While political parties and organizations mount campaigns demanding justice, the once-vocal film industry, including stars known for championing social causes, remains notably absent.

PMK leader Balu criticized this hypocrisy, questioning the selective outrage and accusing actors and DMK allies of prioritizing political alliances over justice. He warned that their silence today could haunt them tomorrow, exposing the industry’s double standards in addressing gender violence and systemic failures.

PMK Protest

In response to the Anna University incident, the PMK has mounted a campaign under the slogan Am I Next?”. Posters bearing this question were plastered across Chennai ahead of the protest at Valluvar Kottam. Soumya Anbumani, addressing the gathering, called for stringent action against the accused and a thorough investigation into the case, including the alleged involvement of others.

“The safety of our students should be non-negotiable,” she said.This is not just about one incident but a larger failure to ensure a secure environment for our youth.”

The protest, however, faced resistance from authorities, as the Chennai police denied permission for the gathering, citing security concerns. Despite this, a significant number of protesters assembled, prompting heavy police deployment at the venue to maintain order.

Protest By BJP

Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai lashed himself six times with a whip on 27 December 2024 outside his residence in Coimbatore as part of a personal protest against the sexual assault of an Anna University student.

Annamalai had announced the previous day that he would whip himself as a symbolic protest against the incident. He also vowed not to wear slippers until the DMK government is removed from power in Tamil Nadu.

The BJP leader said he would pray at all six temples of Lord Muruga, the revered war deity in southern India. The former IPS officer has been leading the Tamil Nadu BJP aggressively and has been vocal in his criticism of the ruling DMK government.

Annamalai condemned the police for leaking the FIR related to the sexual assault case, which resulted in the identification of the 19-year-old victim, an engineering student at Anna University. He accused the authorities of intentionally leaking the details and failing to ensure the safety and anonymity of the survivor.

The BJP president further alleged that the accused, Gnanasekaran, was not included in the police’s rowdy list despite being involved in several criminal cases already. He claimed that this omission was due to Gnanasekaran’s close ties with DMK leaders and provided evidence of the accused’s affiliation with the ruling party.

Protest By ADMK

The AIADMK IT Wing members staged a protest at the Express Avenue Mall in Royapettah, Chennai, holding banners with the sloganWho is that sir?to draw attention to the recent sexual assault of a student on the Anna University campus and to criticize the Tamil Nadu government’s handling of the case. Posters with the sloganWho is that sir?have been plastered across several cities, including Chennai, Karur, Thanjavur, and Tirunelveli. The posters also feature hashtags like #SaveOurDaughters.

During the protest at Express Avenue Mall, AIADMK IT Wing members addressed the public, including women shoppers, to highlight their concerns about the incident and alleged lapses by the government. Videos of the demonstration are circulating widely on social media, drawing mixed reactions from the public.

Protest By TVK

Women cadre from the actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam were arrested for distributing pamphlets containing a handwritten letter by Vijay condemning the assault case at the entrance of VR Mall in Chennai. They aimed to raise awareness about the sexual assault incident on the Anna University campus. Similarly, members of the women’s wing of the Karur District of TVK were questioned and arrested after presenting the letter in front of the Karur Government Arts College gate. The police raised concerns about the unauthorized distribution of the letter, causing a stir in the area.

However, very conspicuously absent are the voices from the Kollywood/cinema industry and the allies of the DMK.

Calling out this hypocrisy, PMK leader Balu spoke to reporters. He said, That is my biggest worry now. The communist party and the left organisations would ensure that awareness is created even for a small issue or human rights violation. They are silent in this case. I really doubt there are any human rights organisations in Tamil Nadu. Did any human rights organization or a human rights activist make a big issue out of nothing in the previous regime? They would conduct protests, speak to news reporters, and make people aware. Even actors who were giving voice to people’s issues – where have they gone now? Why are they silent on this issue? Will they behave differently if it is DMK and in a different manner if some other party is in power? What kind of an attitude is this? Even the parties of the DMK alliance are not questioning and protesting democratically, they will be in a similar situation in the future, and I warn them about it.”

“Why Are Udhayanidhi And Ma Subramanian Running Away From Media Now?” BJP TN Chief Annamalai Asks As DMK Ministers Who Were Photographed With Anna University Sexual Assault Case Culprit Evade Press

Why Are Udhayanidhi And Ma Subramanian Running Away From Media Now? - BJP TN Chief Annamalai Asks As DMK Ministers Who Were Photographed With Anna University Sexual Assault Case Culprit Evade Press

Once again, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai delivered a scathing attack on the ruling DMK government, mainly targeting DMK scion, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Health Minister Ma Subramanian. He accused them of standing with Anna University on-campus sexual harassment case accused DMK functionary Gnanasekaran, posing for pictures, but Udhayanidhi Stalin and Subramanian failed to clarify the situation publicly. Annamalai condemned them for retreating into silence and questioned Udhayanidhi Stalin’s actions as a syndicate member of the university. He further demanded that if Stalin had no resolve to address the issue, he should resign.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai, Annamalai criticized the DMK government for the rising crimes against women and children since it came to power. He pointed out that the Child Protection Commission in the state had become ineffective, raising concerns about how crimes against children could be monitored.

Annamalai also highlighted that the police were refusing to register First Information Reports (FIRs), with crimes once confined to villages now spreading to the city. He condemned this trend, adding that the Tamil Nadu BJP’s women wing would protest in Madurai on 3 January 2024. Despite the Madurai police denying permission, he confirmed that the rally would proceed as planned.

Annamalai accused the DMK government of neglecting its duties, citing an increase in “lamenting on financial matters” under their rule. He criticized DMK Education Anbil Mahesh for participating in a private school association program where a school association president announced plans to adopt 500 government schools and provide CSR funds. Annamalai questioned why private schools were handling tasks that should be the government’s responsibility, especially when DMK members run many schools. He also reminded the government of its promise to repair 10,000 damaged schools, calling for a white paper on this issue.

On financial matters, Annamalai slammed the government’s borrowing spree, noting that Tamil Nadu took a loan of ₹90,000 crores last year and planned to borrow ₹1 lakh crore this year. He questioned the state’s administration if it couldn’t afford to distribute Pongal gifts despite such heavy borrowing.

Responding to Vaiko’s support for the DMK, Annamalai said that Vaiko had criticized the DMK for the same reasons, but supporting it now. He vowed that the DMK government would be overthrown in 2026, with Vaiko witnessing it firsthand.

Annamalai also expressed frustration over the DMK’s lack of understanding, stating that those who needed to realize the situation would only do so after the 2026 election results. He reaffirmed that the DMK government would be removed in 2026, with no turning back.

Taking a dig at DMK scion Udhayanidhi Stalin, Annamalai said, “Udhayanidhi Stalin was a syndicate member at Anna University before becoming a minister. Then release the minutes of the meetings when you were a Anna University syndicate member. Tell the public, what has Udhayanidhi Stalin did for the Anna University syndicate after becoming an MLA? You boast about being the next Chief Minister, right? Till today, there is a MLA as a member from the DMK. Is Paranthaman a syndicate member there now? Today, after Udhayanidhi Stalin, the DMK MLA is a syndicate member. What is this MLA doing? How many syndicate meetings have taken place? How many issues have been raised in the syndicate meeting? Nothing. Udhaynidhi Stalin was the syndicate member of the Anna University, let’s speak from the time. Today, the Chief Minister is dusts Paranthaman, saying he is no longer in the party. We have provided evidence, such as photographs, in magazines, in the platinum jubilee (Pavala Vizha) event, ministers with him. Now, when there is an issue, everyone escapes. Udhayanidhi Stalin is not meeting the press. If you see him, he know what the first thing you ask him. They escape. What do they think? That if they avoid the press for three months, people will forget, and there will arise a new issue we shall jump to that? If a Deputy Chief Minister cannot face the press and clarify their stance on an issue, it shows he lacks courage. If you don’t have the courage, why should you be Deputy Chief Minister? Resign and go. A Deputy Chief Minister should be able to face the press.”He then questioned, “Why does Udhayanidhi Stalin run away seeing the press? Why is he refusing to meet the press?”

Criticizing DMK Health Minister Ma Subramanian, Annamalai said, “Ma Subramanian will run a race in the morning, now if he sees the press, he runs away in the same speed because you’ll ask him, ‘Gnanasekaran’s picture in the background while you’re eating?’ Ma Su runs faster from the press than he does in a race!”

Crime Proceeds Funded Luxurious Farmhouse: Anna University Assault Culprit & DMK Man Gnanasekaran’s Hidden Assets Exposed

Gnanasekaran Crime Proceeds Funded Luxurious Farmhouse

Investigations revealed that Gnanasekaran, the accused in the Anna University sexual assault case and a serial offender involved in numerous thefts and robberies, used the proceeds of his crimes to acquire a 3.5-acre farmhouse near Chennai that served as his hideout after committing crimes.

Anna University Sexual Assault Case

The recent Anna University sexual assault case has left the citizens of the state of Tamil Nadu in shock. As investigations into the accused perpetrator, Gnanasekaran, continue, shocking facts emerge by the day.

Gnanasekaran, a serial offender involved in multiple thefts and a sexual assault case, has been arrested, bringing to light shocking details of his criminal activities. His arrest has revealed a web of crimes, including robbery, abduction, and the use of stolen funds to acquire assets, such as a sprawling farmhouse near Chennai.

Gnanasekaran

Gnanasekaran has been implicated in over 20 cases, including a high-profile robbery and kidnapping in 2018. He, along with his brother Suresh, two wives, and mother, kidnapped a businessman in Madurantakam near Kanchipuram and looted jewels and cash worth ₹25 lakh from his home. His brother, two wives, and mother were arrested in this case. Investigations following his arrest in this case revealed a pattern of criminal behavior spanning several years.

Gnanasekaran’s modus operandi involved targeting unoccupied homes in affluent areas like Mylapore, ECR, and Abhiramapuram between 7 and 9 PM, when traffic and movement concealed his actions. To avoid leaving traces, he would sprinkle chili powder to mislead tracking dogs. However, in one instance in CIT Colony, he mistakenly used a health drink powder, “Boost,” instead, leading to his capture through sniffer dogs.

Gnanasekaran was recently arrested for sexually assaulting a student within the Anna University campus. The case brought his extensive criminal background to light.

In separate incidents, he looted 37 and 45 sovereigns of gold jewelry from two homes owned by businessmen in Abhiramapuram locality.
He also stole 40 sovereigns of gold from a businessman’s home in CIT colony but was caught due to his error in using “Boost” powder instead of chilli powder.

The police have uncovered that Gnanasekaran used the proceeds of his crimes to purchase a 3.5 farmhouse in Thandaripet, Chengalpattu district, near Madhuranthakam. The property became his hideout after robberies. Another farmhouse near Uttaramerur, also bought with stolen money, has been linked to him.

Following his arrest in the Anna University case, CCTV footage from 2018 revealed his involvement in a robbery where he wore a mask. This evidence and subsequent investigations exposed his role in multiple crimes.

According to the police, Gnanasekaran was a habitual offender who meticulously planned his crimes. He operated with his family’s assistance and targeted homes during specific hours to exploit their vulnerability. His criminal activities have shocked residents of Chennai and surrounding areas.
