Actor Santhanam tweets in support of Sadhguru’s plea to free temples from govt control
Isha’s Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev had posted a tweet saying how close to 12,000 temples were in ruins all around Tamilnadu with no one to care for them. The tweet read, “11,999 temples dying without a single pooja taking place. 34,000 temples struggling with less than Rs 10,000 a year. 37,000 temples have just one person for pooja, maintenance, security etc! Leave temples to devotees. Time to #FreeTNTemples.”
He went on to tag the CM of Tamil Nadu, DMK leader MK Stalin and actor Rajinikanth. He went on to say in the video that was posted that just like how the East India Company had left the temples of India in a dilapidated state by bludgeoning them, the present situation was such that they were slowly being suffocated into going out of existence by depriving them of resources and funds. He elaborated on the need for temples and explained how entire towns were built around them, and how they had been instrumental for the flourish of civilization.
He then beseeched that, since a single person would be unable to maintain the temples, the government should consider giving the responsibility of managing temples back to the devotees, and that the logistics could be figured out later.
Tweeting in favour of this, Actor Santhanam had tweeted saying, “Completely agree with @sadhguruJV. Leave it for devotees. Sad to see so many places of worship without a single pooja taking place. Very little done for maintenance, security etc. #FreeTNTemples.” This caused a stir online, flooding the microblogging platform with tweets in support as well as in opposition of the tweet.
BJP’s Asuvathaman and Indu Makkal Katchi (IMK) welcomed Actor Santhanam’s tweet. Many netizens were surprised to see a Kollywood actor giving voice to an issue that has been a subject matter of debate among the Hindu community.
Wow, Santhanam ji, thank you. https://t.co/Ep1WauEzk6

However, one netizen pointed out that when the actor had run into a trouble with a BJP man a few years back, he reportedly threatened the person that he knew DMK chief MK Stalin.

Some others netizens like Savukku Shankar pointed out that Santhanam was a ‘Sanghi’ and also took a dig at his caste saying that ‘he was a Vanniyar and hence would have no brains’.

The rot in Tamil Nadu politics
Imagine Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, well known for his plagiarizing skills suing Hollywood writers for not coming up with new scripts. A similar farce is happening in the world of Tamil Nadu politics. The virulent anti-Hindu Dravidian forces are themselves being pummeled by an emerging militant and racist movement for not being anti-Hindu enough.
Tamil civilization is an important part of Sanatana Dharma (Hindu) civilization. Of late Tamil racist groups are increasingly aggressive in their attempt to split it from Hindu roots. In the book “Breaking India” (BI), co-authored by Rajiv Malhotra and Aravindan Neelakandan, the authors describe these BI forces in detail. The book states, “Even the fierce fight between Christians and Leftists within the West, and the clash between Islam and Christianity in various places, have been set aside in order to attack India’s unity”.
The BI forces have unleashed their latest weapon in the form of the Tamil racist “Naam Tamilar Katchi” (NTK). However, the target for the NTK is quite ironic as it is their own “partner in crime”, the people who claim themselves to be of ‘Dravidian stock’, who are no less in being racist demagogues.
Sri Lanka’s civil war ended badly for Tamil separatists during May 2009. This had provided the excuse for ‘Tamil’ racists to attack the Dravidian parties especially the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) to their hate campaign.
Historically, from the Justice Party days until now, the Dravidian buffoonery has been funded by BI forces. The Tamil racists and Dravidian demagogue quite often can be seen engaging in fiery arguments. One of the good things about this is that the hollowness of both the Dravidian thought and the Tamil racist philosophy gets laid bare.
The Naam Tamilar Katchi has a lot of claims, with the most chauvinistic one being that only Tamilians should be eligible to rule Tamil Nadu. Who gets to define a Tamilian is a million-dollar question. Tamil racists like Seeman give contradictory answers based on the audience.
Tamil racist claims of exclusivity and civilizational superiority sound not much different from what the racist Sinhalese government does to its Tamil population. During its entire history, the Tamil region, has been linked with the rest of Hindu civilization including its Buddhist and Jain cultures.
The list below gives a few examples of cross-cultural interaction between Tamil Nadu and its neighbors:
1) 7th century CE: Pallava dynasty (non-Tamil) rescued Tamil lands from its 300+ year “Kalapirar dark ages”
2) 11th century CE: Later Chola – Eastern Chalukya (Telugu) family alliances helped continue the Chola dynasty
3) 15th century CE: Vijayanagar’s (Tulu, Kannada, and Telugu) rule liberated Tamil lands from Turkic Muslim killing, rape, and plunder
Rest of Hindu-India has been a positive force multiplier to protect and nurture the Tamil language, culture, temples, and civilization. The Tamil racist’s attempts to paint Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and other non-Tamil speakers as outsiders belie these historical facts. Hindu civilization remembers the Tamil lands as the incubation and innovation center of Hindu culture. Tamil Nadu is the birthplace of the “Bhakti” movement around 1,300 years ago.
Tamil racist and Dravidian forces provide opportunistic support to “woke” issues. Fighting climate change, environmental protection, corruption-free rule, and women’s rights ring hollow based on their past rule. The Karunanidhi family has embezzled billions of dollars from public funds. His multiple wives with titles “Manaivi (Wife)”, “Thunaivi (Consort)” and “Eenaivi (Sexual Partner)” makes a mockery of women’s rights.
Actress Vijayalaksmi’s #MeToo allegation against Sebastian alias Seeman is another example of sexual abuse. The terror funding charges against Seeman show the moral rot and economical corruption.
Hindu voters of Tamil Nadu should stand up for their values, spirituality, civilization, and culture. Benevolent Dharma oriented forces have always been at the forefront of protecting Tamil and other native cultures across India. The Tamil-Hindu diaspora should see through the quackery of Tamil racists. Their hard earned time and money is better spent for the benefit of suffering civilians in Sri Lanka’s Northern and Eastern provinces.
Breaking India forces had great success in bringing death and destruction to Sri Lanka. It is unfathomable to think if these forces start having success in mainland India. The 1947 partition horrors will look like a child’s play.
