Christian missionaries convert more than 1 lakh Hindus, plant over 50000 Churches during pandemic

At a time when many Indians are distressed and vulnerable due to Covid-19, Christian missionaries in India saw this as an opportunity and converted as many as 1 lakh people and adopted 50,000 villages in less than one year, reports OpIndia.  

This information was also confirmed by David Reeves, CEO of unfoldingWord, a Christain organization dedicated to church planting and ‘translating God’s Word — with accuracy and excellence’.

Under the guise of helping the people who are economically backward, the evangelists have taken upon them to convert Hindus and build a record number of churches in thousands of villages where none existed before. That is why one would find many priests and nuns in hospitals who will go from bed to bed trying to exploit the patients family.

The evangelists are trained to convert those who are emotionally vulnerable and exploit their weakness in order to increase their numbers.

In an interview given by David to Missionary Network News, he called this an “immaculate feat achieved in India“.

Reeves stated, “Because they could not meet with others during lockdown, they decided [to] simply start specifically praying for unsaved people they know. Then, they decided to follow up those prayers by phone and WhatsApp. They estimate about 100,000 conversions during lockdown as a result of this approach. Similarly, with church planting, they encouraged every church to [pray for] 10 specific villages or neighbourhoods [with] no church. Then, as restrictions loosened slightly, they were able to get into these regions. They estimate that churches adopted about 50,000 villages during lockdown, and 25 per cent now have an “opening” for the Gospel — some believers, a small house church, etc.” 

According to the missionary group Reach All Nations, “RAN receives students from various parts of India for receiving theological education. Upon the completion of the training, they go back to their own communities. In collaboration with their local churches, they are placed in the mission field for church planting work. While they are in the field we support them in two ways. Helping them with monthly financial gifts until they are self-supported and providing ongoing biblical training in the field. Once a month we meet with them for a full day of prayer, fellowship, and teaching. We do this until the fledgling church is fully launched.”

SSI: US and Europe withholding critical raw materials essential to manufacture vaccine

According to the CEO of the Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla, the US and European nations (Western) are withholding critical raw materials essential to manufacture the vaccine to produce the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covishield inoculation, India Today has reported.

Poonawalla said, “We have not banned exports, we have prioritised our country for the next two months, whereas Europe and the US have banned the exports of raw materials and vaccines…US needs to have a global perspective and not ban raw materials”,.

“By banning certain raw materials, companies like SII and many others will not be able to scale up to the extent we would want to. Fortunately, the ban of raw materials is not affecting Covishield but it is affecting Covovax, the Novavax candidate, which I am hoping to stockpile from next week”, he added.

Covovax is the second Covid-19 vaccine which SII is working on and hopes to get a license for it by September-October.

As per an Indian Express report, some of the raw raw materials that are required are plastic bags, filters and certain media which are used in the manufacturing process of Covovax.

Since the West has placed an embargo on the raw material SII’s capacity to manufacture the vaccine has slowed down, however, it aims to make 1 billion doses of the vaccine Novavax this year.

“That is one thing we are really struggling with in the short term because we need this now. We don’t need it after six months or a year because by that time, we’d have developed other suppliers”, Poonawalla was quoted as saying.

Poonawalla has also expressed confidence that both Covovax and Covishield have over 95 per cent efficacy against hospitalisation, and that would lead to less number of patients needing hospitalisation as most will only experience mild symptoms.

SII is currently producing 6 to 6.5 crore Covishield vaccines per month and hopes to almost double it to 10 to 11 crore by June.

China’s involvement in WHO’s latest statement

Right from the beginning of the pandemic, questions have been raised as to where the coronavirus, which has been plaguing the world for more than a year, actually originated. The virus, which was first found in November 2019 in China’s Wuhan province, then spread around the world from January 2020 and putting the entire world in lockdown.

China responded to the accusations placed on them by accusing President Trump of claiming that the Coronavirus, which was the main cause of the Trump administration’s defeat in the US and China’s trade war, came from China, and reversed the blame on the US, saying that it had in fact come from the U.S. military. Similarly, when Australia mobilized countries in its favour to have WHO research into where the coronavirus originated, the Chinese government became furious, and resorted to name-calling, calling Australia the ‘dog of the United States.’ It then proceeded to launch a severe commercial crisis for Australia.

In light of this, recently, the World Health Organization had sent a number of experts to China to submit a report. Research into where the spread of the coronavirus began should have been the result of this team’s visit.

Sadly, it was a nightmare returns of sorts. The 319-page report provided by the World Health Organization is the World Health Organization’s investigation into the origin of the virus that led to the COVID-19 infection. This statement does not give any solid explanation as to where the source of the virus is. Despite the fact that the WHO has given assurances are given that more investigations will take place, it is obvious that they are unlikely to happen.

A popular theory that has been going on is that this is the result of a trade war that has already been going on between China and the United States, and that China had carried out this so-called bio-war. The virus has caused a major earthquake. There is no denying that the World Health Organization (WHO) is in cahoots. But no one really believes this is an investigation, despite the Chinese continuously insisting that this is a scientific joint study.

This in itself proves that is not a report that was written entirely by the World Health Organization but by a team of World Health Organization’s experts and Chinese scientists. The group had a four-week reprieve.

The Tedros effect

Commenting on this, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyseus, the director-general of the WHO said that although the teams said the cases were diagnosed only on December 8, 2019, scientists should be given full data, including biological sample data from at least September-2019. He also revealed the problems involved. Although the panel denied the possibility that the virus was formed as a result of a laboratory accident, the head of the World Health Organization noted that this estimate was insufficient and that more data were needed for strong conclusions.

It has been widely recognised that Tedros has been having a pro-China stance and seeking to cover up China’s role in the virus. The Commune did an extensive expose about him in the past, that you can read here.

He said that although the teams said the cases were diagnosed only on December 8, 2019, scientists should be given full data, including biological sample data from at least September-2019. He also revealed the problems involved. Although the panel denied the possibility that the virus was formed as a result of a laboratory accident, Tedros noted that this estimate was insufficient and that more data were needed for strong conclusions. He said they have only cleared the surface of this complex study and there is still much to research to be done. He added that the team also examined allegations that China got the virus from the United States through the Seventh World Military Games in October 2019.

But it was confirmed from the recent research that nothing similar to COVID-19 was found in the clinics conducted for that sport. Further this report considers 4 hypotheses. One of the most plausible hypotheses is that the virus had gotten propagated to the people from the wet market in Wuhan through an intermediate source. Another hypothesis suggests that this might have infected humans through bats. Yet another hypothesis states that this strain spread from the Institute of Virology in Wuhan. A fourth hypothesis says that it was spread from frozen food, which China argues is the reason. The report also leans towards China’s reason. This is why more investigation is needed in this category.

Global response to WHO’s report

It is to be noted that China has been reluctant to provide data and access to the World Health Organization team. Thus it is not possible to conduct in-depth and detailed investigations.

In light of this, all of America’s closest allies, including Australia, Canada, Norway, Japan, the United Kingdom and Israel, have issued a joint press release containing 14 statements. The release alleges that complete original data and samples were not made available to the investigation team from the WHO by China and that this went against WHO’s attempts to find out the truth behind the source of the COVID-19 virus. Notably, the press release was not signed by France, Germany and New Zealand.

Responding to this, a Chinese spokesman said a number of countries had accused the World Health Organization of being insincere while taking an initiative to find the source of the virus, which was unfair to the WHO. He went on to suggest that instead of focusing only on China, the WHO should seek to focus on conducting investigations to find the source in other countries as well.

It is significant to note that the United States withdrew from the World Health Organization in July 2020, but, as one of their first steps after assuming power, under the now-incumbent Biden administration, the United States is set to rejoin the organization. The US should realise that the pandemic has given the United States and its allies an opportunity to mobilize against China. The importance of dealing with the Coronavirus was also discussed as one of main objectives of the recent QUAD summit.

An important milestone in this process is Japan’s initiative to provide funding for using India as a manufacturing base for vaccines developed in the United States. This leads to equal competition between regional countries that are not part of the US-China war. In the journey towards battling the wreckage that the virus has caused, the important part comes where the countries should stand united against the common enemy, the COVID-19 virus, but more importantly, China.

Pollachi’s Truth: How the DMK ruined the lives of scores of young women

One of the core campaign points for the DMK in this election has been the Pollachi sexual abuse case. From MK Stalin downwards, all leaders have made this issue a talking point in their rallies, to attack the AIADMK on the women’s safety front.

But what are the people of Pollachi saying?

The truth is that families living in Pollachi are furious with the DMK for ruining their lives and the reputations of their women over an issue that should have been dealt with strictly as a law and order problem.

The police complaint filed by a 19-year-old woman on 24 February 2019, was quickly picked up by the local DMK District Secretary Thendral Selvaraj. In this, he saw an opportunity to malign the reputation of AIADMK leader Pollachi Jayaraman. First Selvaraj and his party tried to drag Jayaraman’s son into the issue as one of the accused. That did not work, because he was not involved in the issue in any way.

In fact, it was Pollachi Jayaraman who had accompanied the girl and her brother to the police station to get the FIR filed.

With Lok Sabha elections a few months away, a desperate DMK then tried to create a new narrative. That there were hundreds – around 250-300 women – who had been sexually abused by this gang.

The DMK went hammer and tongs at the issue – creating fear among the public who locked up their wives and daughters in their homes, not allowing them to go to work or to college.

First the case was transferred to the CB-CID and then to the CBI as the DMK’s pressure intensified. The CBI FIR itself stated that there were videos of four women in the mobile phones of the three accused arrested men. Not 250. Not 100. Four women in all.

Ask anyone in Pollachi. Thanks to the DMK’s fake propaganda about 250 young women being sexually harassed and raped, scores of weddings got cancelled.

Young women of marriageable age were unable to find grooms because of the stain of the propaganda over Pollachi. Even married women were harassed – their families suspected that they might have been abused or raped and that they had not divulged the truth.

Playing politics is one thing but when the lives of people are affected by political narrative or propaganda, it cannot be condoned. Today, Pollachi’s families are angry with the DMK. And with good reason.

Still Milking The Pollachi Issue

Even after the elections, the DMK does not seem to be willing to allow the Pollachi issue at peace. Anyone writing the truth is instantly discredited by no less than the IT Wing Head of the DMK, PTRP Thiagarajan. He and his troll army attacked a Chennai-based journalist over the Pollachi issue.

However, it was found that the DMK and its troll army had shared a screenshot of a portion of two articles published in The Lede (here and here) distorting the context of the articles to suit their agenda and tarnish the woman journalist.

In the first report dated 13 March 2019, an interview of the Pollachi sexual harassment victim was published. In the second report dated 22 March 2019, the article debunks the DMK’s claim that there were over 250 victims. The truth is that while there were hundreds of videos in the mobile phones of the accused, most of them were porn videos.

In fact, in the second article, it is clearly mentioned that – “In the past month and a half, rumours have rife about thousands of videos and over 250 women having been victims of the gang of four who exploited them sexually for money and favours.

These rumours have been fed and fuelled largely by a section of the media on the back of a persistent campaign by the rival Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), which has continually alleged that various leaders of the ruling AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) are involved in the racket and were shielding the accused.

What we do know from the police version is that there are four videos only, which have been recovered from the mobile phones of the accused. SP Coimbatore, R Pandiarajan, confirmed the same at a press meet in early March. The CB-CID, which is now investigating the case, has also confirmed the same, although on condition of anonymity.”

It was in this context that Sandhya, who was then the editor of The Lede, had written saying that such an emotive issue should not be sensationalised and politicised, since it would stoke public fear in a major way.

And that is exactly what happened too. The DMK clearly does not care about the consequences of their political rhetoric. It’s IT Wing Head clearly does not like the truth to be told.

At the end of the day, it is the women of Pollachi who have paid for the sins of the DMK.

VCK goons attack BJP, IMK cadres to prevent them from garlanding Ambedkar statue

Tension prevailed in Madurai on Wednesday after the cadres of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chased away Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres who tried to garland the Ambedkar statue on the 130th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.

Leaders and representatives of various political parties, including VCK leader Thirumavalavan, along with their cadres assembled near the Ambedkar statue in Madurai outpost area.

When the BJP cadres led by the party’s Madurai rural President Suseendran approached to garland the statue, VCK denied permission. VCK thugs began attacking BJP cadres who were attempting to appease the enraged VCK cadres. The police removed the BJP cadres from the spot and pacified VCK rowdies who attacked them.

Netizens questioned Thirumavalavan, who often labels Modi a fascist, ‘who is fascist now?’ pointing to this anarchic event.

 

In another such incident, VCK thugs attacked members of Indu Makkal Katchi(IMK) when they tried to pay respect to the Ambedkar statue. Police removed IMK cadres from the scene instead of controlling the aggressive VCK cadres.

 

IMK members were also told not to use the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”  IMK condemned VCK for turning Ambedkar into a caste leader. Indu Makkal Katchi explained what happened at the scene in a series of tweets.

Puthandu is on Chithirai 1 and not as claimed by dimwit politicians and their stooges

All the festivals that we celebrate are part of the ancient knowledge and tradition handed over to us by our ancestors. They also signify the rich cultural heritage of this land.

Puthaandu/Tamil New Year marks the first day of the first month (Chithirai) of the Hindu Tamil calendar that is based on the solar cycle. While certain politicians and ideologues may try to distort this fact, there is enough evidence in ancient Tamil literature that the first day of the Chithirai month marks the beginning of a new year.

“திண்ணிலை மருப்பின் ஆடு தலையாக விண்ணூர்பு திரிதரும் வீங்கு செலல் மண்டிலம்”

“Thinnilai Marruppin Aadu Thalaiyaaga Vinnurpu Thiritharum Veengu Sella Mandilam”

The above quote by Nakkeerar, a famous Tamil poet of the Sangam age, notes that the world runs with the goat (Mesha rasi / Aries) as the first sign.

Not only in this Sangam song, many ancient Tamil songs that are about the astronomical predictions and changes in position of planets and starts.

Kudalur Kizhar is another poet of the Sangam era whose poems are part of the Kurunthogai (166, 167, 214) and Purananuru (229). In the poem in Purananuru, where he predicts the death of Chera ruler Yanaikatchei Mantharanj Cheral Irumborai (62-42 BC), he mentions Chithirai month and Mesha rasi.

In essence, the first month of the year is the month of Chithirai during spring when the Sun enters Mesha (Aries) zodiac sign. The year ends with the month of Panguni when the sun comes up in Pisces. This is the solar calendar that is followed across the country while there are many communities in different states that follows the lunar calendar.

The commencement of the new year is celebrated as Vishu in Kerala, Rongali Bihu in Assam, Pohela Boisakh in Bengal, Bishuva Sankranti in Odisha, Jud Sheetal in parts of Bihar, etc. Not just in India, even countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Bali, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Thailand, etc also celebrate this festival.

So, Puthandu is not a day that can be changed to the whims and fancies of a bunch of politicians and their stooges to peddle their nonsensical agenda. No matter how hard the inimical forces might try to delink Hinduism with Tamil culture, they will fail miserably.

8th Century temple turned into a govt paddy procurement center

Video footage of the 8th-century temple complex being turned into a government paddy procurement hub and rice depot has gone viral on social media.

Complaints were raised that paddy bundles were stacked inside Munreeswaramudaiyar temple in Anthaalanallur near Veeravanallur in Tirunelveli district. After public outcry, the government paddy procurement center and rice depot were relocated. Paddy bundles that had been piled inside the temple were also moved.

The Sivanadiars requested that those responsible for turning the temple into a rice warehouse be prosecuted and that the rice warehouse be moved.

The local police launched an investigation after receiving a complaint from higher authorities. Senior HR&CE officials and Tirunelveli district officials went there yesterday and relocated the government paddy procurement center after investigation. They transported the paddy bundles deposited in the temple grounds in lorries and tractors to a temporary location.

Each year thousands of films are made in India but few have substance and original storytelling. Space Moms is the true representation of scientists of ISRO who were presented with an insurmountable challenge of successfully executing the Mangalyaan mission with limited resources.

Ayi Giri-Nandini is the apt representation of the power of the sacred feminine which has been part of our civilizational heritage for thousands of years and shows the Mother Goddess civilization in its splendour. This film shows how a group of men and women work together without ego and how masculine and the feminine are equally divided within us and one cannot exist without the other.

India's 8 Super Women Scientist at ISRO – We, the Millennials!

If the actual Mangalyaan mission was fraught with technical complications this film has also faced its own challenges that led to a legal tussle with Bollywood that led to a delay in its release. However, Space M.O.Ms is now available on Google Play for everyone to see.

UK adds Pakistan to its list of 21 undesirable high-risk countries

In another setback for Pakistan, the United Kingdom has put this terror Islamic sponsoring nation in its list of “21 undesirable high-risk countries” over money laundering and terror financing charges

According to the UK government, the nations listed in this category pose a security threat due to weak tax controls and lack of check and balance on terrorism financing and money laundering.

The list came into effect on March 26 2021, under the ‘Amendment of the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017’.

Pakistan government has condemned this listing and the Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said, “this is not based on facts and is politically motivated and this move could impact Pakistan’s chances of getting off the FATF’s grey list,”.

Pakistan has been on the financial watchdog The Financial Action Task Force( FATF) grey list since June 2018.

₹200 crore worth temple land occupied unlawfully with politician’s help

A series of petitions have been submitted to various departmental officials in an attempt to reclaim 200 crores worth of Mariamman temple land from the occupiers.

Mariamman Temple is one of Salem’s most well-known temples, situated in Periyakollapatti. Several allegations have been made that 200 crore rupees worth of temple property has been occupied by encroachers with the help of government officials. Swaminathan Gounder(75) has filed petitions with several departments, including the Revenue Department, requesting action for retrieval of those properties. He also said that if no action is taken within 15 days, he will take the case to the court.
